Arabic emails unreadable!

I have cionfigred the hotmail account on my blackberry but when I send an email it's going as junk (all question marks!) .. is it a problem with the compatibility or font? how can I fix it?

Do you have arabic set as the language on the devcie at Options > Language?
Are the emails coming in arabic language or what?

Sending arabic email

Hello there
i want to send an arabic email in my portlet application.
but every time I do this i get an unreadable text or evern nothing when applying the Arabic encoding on the output string. I tried to use a unicode settings inside the email like (UTF8,UTF16, Latin/Arabic Alphabet,windows-1256) but with no luck, I didn't get the desired result.

the problem of the arabic text was solved for the database by using the utf8 encoding
but the problem remains when the send email portlet was deployed on the liferay 4.2.2
although it is fully working on the liferay 4.3.2

Email - unread messages counter wrong -

The email icon on my homepage shows I have 1 email unread even when all visible emails are read. For instance, if I get 2 new emails the email counter shows 3 unread and when I read the 2 new emails and delete them, the counter still shows 1 unread?
Any ideas as to how I cure that?

I had to Edit | Mark as Read in order to clear this mess. I had the same issue. I've had to so it a few times. Not Happy, but it works.

Email unread counter error

My unread mail counter stays on 14, even when I have now. I have loged out and tried restart, etc. My concern is whether there are unread mails or not.

Emails unreadable from Japanese provider AU

Hi I'm living in Japan and when receiving emails from another mobile phone provider AU (sms is not possible between different providers in Japan) its unreadable.
This occurred after updating my iPhone to the 2.0.2 update on Saturday. The emails from AU come up in non-unicode or something so the content of the email is completely unreadable, something like $3xu#*$ throughout the whole message.
Before the update emails from AU were as attachments where you would simply click on it and the text would be displayed. But now even the emails from AU saved on my phone and received before the update have had the attachment converted to that same kind of jibberish.
I have tried restoring to default but has not seemed to fix it. At least the old emails are still in Jibberish.

Hey there! Yeah, I've also experienced the same problem when I updated my iPhone. Before the update only the emoticons were gibberish, but now even the e-mails before the update are all complete gibberish. I checked the Japanese Apple support site, and the only advice people could give was to ask your friends who use AU to not use emoticons and 絵文字 (e-moji) in their e-mails to you. I have tried restarting, changing settings to Japanese, etc, but nothing works. It seems all we can do is pray that they fix the problem with the net update. >_<

I use Mail on my MacBook Air and on my iPhone.
Sometimes at night, during the weekend or holidays, I read my emails on iPhone, which marks them as read. The next time I get to work, they are also marked as read on my MacBook Air. I get the interest of such feature, nonetheless; for my use (and my bad memory) it is actually a handicap: I need my emails to not be marked on Mail on my MacBook even though I read them on iPhone already. Just so I can go back to them and answer them properly. (For example, if I read them on holidays, weekends, at night etc... and they are not urgent I don't answer right away but wait to be back at the office: and it then becomes impossible to remember everything if they are marked as read).

How can I leave emails unread on the server even when I open it on iphone

I adore the way iphone gets me all my emails at the instant they were sent. Only thing is I sometimes open the email just to check if it's something emergent, otherwise I prefer to read it at home on a PC.
Is there anyway such that when you open the email on the iphone it's not "marked as read" on the gmail server for example ? Is there maybe a way you can get data from the server (reading the email) but not sending anything back (the act of turning it from unread email to read email) ?
If not, then is there anyway such that you mark emails as important or any such thing using the iphone ?

No, because the iPhone doesn't download the entire message from the server until you open it. The iPhone only downloads the header of the emails from the server and then once you open the email, it will communicate with the server and download the rest. Once that phase happens, the server marks the email as read.
The only thing you can do, is mark each email as unread after you read it. You can do this from inside each individual email, Apple hasn't created a feature yet that will allow you to mark multiple emails at a time and mark them as read or unread.

Why is my email unread message count incorrect?

I have no unread messages but the count reads 34. This same problem is happening on my iPhone too! It's very aggravating!

I have been having the same problem with my MS Exchange email account. I discovered that the auto archive function was causing my problem. I discovered that I had some unread messages in one of my archive folders so I marked them as unread and the count corrected itself on the Ipad.

OTF Format of Purchase Order in email unreadable

We have setup emailing of purchase orders and this is working fine. However, the file that is sent to the vendor is in format .OTF
How is this file read? Is it possible to send a different format? We can see the order in SOST, but the email that the vendor receives can not be read.

In fact the CLOSE_FORM will return the OTF format table. Just pass that to this form. It will convert the OTF file to a PDF format and sent it to User. Change the body of the text accordingly.

Issue with emails unread on Blackberry but read in Outlook

Hi guys,
I'm having issues with this Blackberry and the email.
I've setup the Blackberry (Bold 9700) via BIS to link their Exchange email (Exchange 2003). Once the emails are delivered to the Blackberry, on the Outlook 2003, it shows as it has been read.
I've tried turning the wireless reconcilation on and off, turning the cache mode for outlook on and off, but it has fixed the problem. I've noticed alot of people are having the same problem, but no real solution has been provided. Please help. Thanks.

How to trigger unread emails for a given period ?

Hello All,
I kindly need your help on the following. I have a mailbox that receives huge number of emails per day , I`m processing those all unread emails every one minute using a third party tool and make them read after successfull processing , my concern is
that I want to receive any alerts if there are unread emails after 5 minutes for example. Because this will mean that the emails are not processing hence the scenario has stopped running.

You should use time-script monitor which run every 5 minutes and return unhealthy if an unread email was found in inbox.
