Arabic keyboard joined letters

Hi there,
I'm learning Arabic and would like to use the Arabic keyboard on my iBook. I've worked out how to change to using Arabic, but the letters appear as individual letters rather than as cursive joined letters. Does anyone know how to set up cursive letters?
Apologies if this isn't the right forum.

Use the font Geeza Pro and use TextEdit, Mellel, or another app that does Arabic (MS Office for Mac does not). Here is some info:

  • Letters on Arabic Keyboard Not Correct

I just bought a Mac with an Arabic Keyboard...many letters are not typed correctly; the letters on the keyboard are not matching the typed ones on screen...they are missed up. Please advise how to fix this issue.

In system preferences/languge & text/input sources, you should see a couple Arabic layouts -- Arabic, Arabic Qwerty, and Arabic PC.  Make sure only the one which matches your hardware keyboard is checked.  If your keyboard came from Apple, that wouild be Arabic.

  • Is there a solution for the missing letter in the Arabic keyboard , IPhone 4s Os 5??

Please specify the letter you think is missing.  You should be able to find all letters you need by holding down keys which generate popup menus to give you additional options.

  • HT2486 adding Arabic or Hebrew letters to address book

Can you mix Arabic or Hebrew letters with the Engish text in address book.
If you can, how do you do it - please ?

Do you not know how to type Arabic and Hebrew?  Or does Address book make a mess of what you try to type?
If the former, you just activate the appropriate keyboards in system preferences/language & text/input sources and then select them in the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen and type away.
If the latter, I doubt there is anything you can do other than try copy/pasting from an app like TextEdit.

Are you aware that extra letters are found by holding down keys? Try that and I am sure you will find it. If you will just post the letter here, I can probably tell you exactly where it is. Here is an earlier example of the same question:

No, it's not.  You get extra letters by holding down the existing keys and selecting them from the popup menu which appears.

I don't think you are going to find this anywhere in the US.  In any case, only the place where you buy your machine can tell you what is available, and you are not talking to such people in these forums.

  • How can i order macbook bro with arabic keyboard

how can i order macbook bro with arabic keyboard from apple store anybody can help me?

Nobody in these forums represents Apple or any store.  In order to try to buy something, you must contact the stores directly yourself.
I have heard that retail stores may be able to place a special order for what you want.

can i order a MBP with backlit English/Arabic Keyboard and got it shipped?

The answer depends entirely on where you are. Are you in a country where that keyboard layout is offered by Apple Stores, an Apple Online Store, or Apple resellers? If so, the answer is yes. If not, the answer is likely to be no.

  • How can i buy Apple Wireless arabic Keyboard in Malaysia

i want to buy Mac 5K but i need arabic keyboard which is not available in Malaysia apple store and it is available in USA apple store ...  how can i buy Apple Wireless arabic Keyboard in Malaysia ? or shipping to Malaysia ?

Apple stores do not ship outside their own country, so you cannot get it from Apple.  Nobody in these forums represents any store, so you have to contact computer dealers in Malaysia or elsewhere directly yourself and see if they can make a special order for you.
There is no need to use an Apple wireless keyboard, any other one will also work.
