Arabic letters are typed reversed

Dear All
I have been several month having this problem, when I lost hope to find the answer using search engine, I decided to ask it here in forum hopping that someone solve my problem.
I have Photoshop Middle Eastern Version CS5. When I type Arabic the letters are typed backward.
As you know arabic is typed from right to left, but in photoshop they are typed from left to right.
Everything is fine when typing on another program like notepad or MS word, but in photoshop letters are reversed,
Windows -> Character: I chose Adobe Arabic
Windows -> Paragraph is set to right align text and justification is set to arabic, eventhough arabic letter are typed backward and are not connected.
I have windows 7

Hamdulillah I just found the solution.
I will post it here maybe someone will benefit from it.
in photoshop press on Windows -> Paragraph then follow the steps as illustrated below

    Do not use MS Word for Mac, it does not support Arabic.  Instead use Mellel, TextEdit, Nisus Writer or OpenOffice.  Try the font Geeza Pro if others do not work.
    What are you using to read email?
    What are you using to read powerpoint?

    Oracle EPMA version we are using 11.1.1.3, please provide some solution on this issue

    This could help if you are connecting to essbase or planning:
    1.Set the ESSLANG environment variable on the Essbase server to
    ESSLANG= Arabic - Saudi Arabia (ISO)@Binary
    2. In Financial Reporting, you must use the Essbase APS ADM driver rather then the Essbase Native ADM driver. Set the driver in \Hyperion\products\biplus\lib\fr_global.properties by setting the parameter
    UseEssbaseEDS=1
    3. In \Hyperion\products\biplus\lib\fr.env, set the ESSLANG environment variable as follows:
    ESSLANG= Arabic - Saudi Arabia (ISO)@Binary
    4. Re-start the Essbase and Financial Reporting services.

    Hey skyshade13,
    Thanks for the question. The following article outlines how to restore a previous iTunes library should there be no content after updating. While the article does not speak specifically to your symptoms, attempting the steps by utilizing the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder may resolve your issue.

  • Arabic Keyboard, i have iPhone 4G but some of the Arabic letters are miss

    I have an arabic language but still don't know how to change the letters and where is the shift ?? and lot of letters are missing ..please whoever ,know i wanna help..thanks

    Nothing should be missing. For extra characters, try holding down the various keys. You should get a popup menu where you can select what you need. That is how these keyboards work.

  • Arabic letters are boxes

    Hi,
    I have this app that loads a ResourceBundle and reads from a properties file for all of the properties that map to the GUI widgets. The GUI widgets' text are extracted from this prop file. I am having a problem with this in that when I try to display these values then some of the Arabic symbols are a box. Now I have the entire unicode chart from www.unicode.org and these are the codes that I am using. I also have jdk1.3.0_02. Could someone please help?
    Thank you,
    Jay.

    Jay-
    I suspect that the font that you are using does not contain all the glyphs for the characters that you are trying to display. You could try and use another font like Bitstream Cyberbit or Arial Unicode MS. However, the issue that you run into with using external fonts not included with the Java Runtime is that now other users of your application need to have the proper font installed on their system to view the text correctly.

  • Keyboard doesnt work . two letters are typed at the same time

    Hi everyone!
    my keyboard is working very strange.
    When i press letter t , the w is pressed as well
    The same happens with letter g ( s)
    The same happens with letter b (x)
    The interesting thing is that these letters are in different lines and they are all separated to to the one that is also pressed by 2 keys in the middle. It seems like it was forming a pattern or a circuit.
    I took the keys out to clean them but they seem to be ok.
    Help !!!!! what should i do?
    Bety

    One possible reason is the battery is swollen and pressing up on the keys.
    (Does you Macbook have a battery you can remove easily, the kind with a slot on the bottom to release the battery? If it does, remove the battery and test the keys using the power adpater.)
    But I suspect this is a newer model, because the battery is on the left side (looking down on the computer), as are the misbehaving keys.
    Suggest you make an appointment and ask an Apple genius to take a look. Diagnostics are free. If in fact you need a new battery they will do it for you. You only pay for the battery.

  • After updating to Firefox 4, Arabic letters are broken when using punctuations.

    In Arabic writing, signs (''' َ ّ ً ِ ٍ ْ ُ ٌ''' ) are used as punctuations with letters. After updating to Firefox 4, a space is created after every punctuation. words become broken.

    Problem solved.
    1- Start Firefox 4 browser.
    2- Type in Address Bar : '''about:config'''
    3- It will tell you : '''This might void your warranty!'''
    4- Press : '''I'll be careful, I promise!'''
    5- Type in Filter Bar : '''gfx.font_rendering.harfbuzz.level'''
    6- Change Value to '''1'''.
    7- '''Done. '''

  • When I begin typing in the upper right search box, after a few letters are typed, a menu drops down with choices. When I click on a choice it doesn't appear in the search box and I have to type everything myself.

    When I use the search box on the upper right and begin to type a word/words when the menu of possible choices appears and I click on the one I want, nothing happens. It doesn't automatically put it into the box like it used to and I have to type everything out.

    Didn't work for me. Got the drop-down but still won't transfer to Google box.

  • Script to replace small caps that are typed as capital letters with non-capital letters (A = a, B = b, etc...)

    I'm looking for a way to replace small caps that are typed as capitals by their normal equivalent.
    I've got a text that contains a lot of names which should all be set in small caps.
    In fact they are, but because capital letters are used for first letters they don't scale.
    Short: I would like to be able to look for A, B, C... (in small caps) and replace them with (a, b, c...) in small caps in one go.
    (compare two arrays?? -> is this possible in indesign scripting)

    Hi,
    Actually, it works only with OpenType fonts and - in this case - can be managed by UI find...change feature.
    With other type of font we need a real change of contents (another keyboard hit).
    It could be done with this code (activeDocument is a target):
    -- works for Open Type as well --
    // For Latin Basic (ASCII from 65 to 90)
    // changes a "cap" letter to a "small" letter
    // if Capitalization.SMALL_CAPS is applied to
    app.findGrepPreferences = app.findGrepPreferences = null;
    app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "\\u";
    app.findGrepPreferences.capitalization = Capitalization.SMALL_CAPS;
    var
      mSTART = 65, // ASCII number for "A"
      Mstart = 97, // ASCII number for "a"
      mDiff = 0,
      mTarget = app.activeDocument,
      mFound = mTarget.findGrep(),
      len = mFound.length, cString;
    while (len-->0) {
      cString = mFound[len].contents;
      mDiff = cString.charCodeAt(0) - mSTART;
      if (mDiff > -1 && mDiff < 26)
      mFound[len].contents = String.fromCharCode( Mstart + mDiff );
    app.findGrepPreferences = app.findGrepPreferences = null;

  • Letters are doubled when typing in new place name

    I have been struggling with the new way of adding places to photos in iPhoto 11 (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2623201&tstart=0). I finally figured out (more or less) how to add a new place to a photo. After a while another problem showed up, which I can't get rid of:
    In the Info window of a photo, I enlarge the places window to show the map. I then start typing in a place name, but every letter I type in gets doubled (displayed twice). But when removing the double letter, the automatic search doesn't get updated, so I can't select any of my own places as they never show up. And it doesn't happen with every letter. Only the first one and every one after I have removed a doubled letter.
    If I try this without the map being show, the first letter gets displayed once, but the next letters are doubled as the map is automatically shown.
    The strange thing is that it didn't happen before.
    I tried to restart iPhoto. Problem still exists.
    I even restart my MacBook Pro (first time I had to do that regarding a software bug). Problem still exists.
    I tried another photo library I have, and there it doesn't happen, so it seems to be linked to that specific photo library.
    Any suggestions?

    very few people have reported this - try renewing your iphoto preference file - A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
    This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

    MS Word for Mac has never supported Arabic.  You have to use other apps.  Mellel is best, but Pages 5, TextEdit, Nisus Writer, or Open/LibreOffice should work OK.
    Sometimes you can make Word for Mac do connected Arabic if you are editing a document created with Windows Word.
