Arabic personal information in erp 11i tables

Hi
In erp 11i when i do the navigation of ABC Administartion -People-special information i can see the name and designation of employee in arabic ,when i did record history i could find the name of table as per_person_analyses
but when i do the selecet query the arabic details arent coming ,why?
i even found the id_flex_num is 50302 for "Arabic personal information" from FND_ID_FLEX_STRUCTURES_TL
kindly guide me regarding this

1.Help > Diagnostics > Examine > Block = SYSTEM, Field= LAST_QUERY
the query when i executed in toad there was no arabic data ,whereas in the form arabic data is shown
2.Choose Help > Diagnostics > Examine
- The block and field name that contain the data in the form are displayed as
well as the value in the field
i got block name :analyses field name :segment
in per_person_analyses i could not find a column named segment
3.Choose Help > Record History
- The name of the base view used displays as Table Name:
i did desc per_person_analyses
but could not find anything in arabickindly help me

ESS Personal Information Scenarios do not display any services in ERP 2005

Hello,
I am configuring ESS in ERP 2005.
When I click on workset Personal Information it gives message 'There are no services in this area'. I have checked that all the resources services are present and that they are also assigned to the sub area personal information.
I have assigned the roles SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP05_US and
SAP_ESSUSER_ERP05 to the user in SAP and also assigned PERNR of personnel area US01 to the same.
What am I missing?

You need to maintain the fields which you are going to updated in the persinfo detail screen, in
the view V_T588MFPROPS. Please check that all the fields which you are
updating in the detail screen, are also present in this view.
Also check table V_T7XSSPERSUBTYP for the infotype as well
Please ensure that your landscape is as per the note 1081261,

ESS: International Personal Information Iviews (ignore Molga)

Interesting situation at my current client. We're doing an upgrade to ERP 2005 from 4.6C. In the client's initial implementation (global implementation I might add), the Implementation partner set up with the system with all employees in Country code 10. They designate the country at the personnel subarea level (if you're scratching your head in confusion then join the club...lol). They implemented ESS a few years ago and did a repair to the function module which fetches the users HR data to point to an alternate table that has the personal subareas, this of course worked for the old version because design time was done in R/3 for that specific ESS service. Fast forward to today and design/runtime happens on the frontend and of course there are country specific iviews for personal information scenarios. There isn't time unfortunately within the upgrade project to fix the MOLGA mess so we're trying to find a solution within the webdynpro to have it ignore molga. Any suggestions?

1) For the various countries for which SAP provides the iViews for Address, either we have to have multiple iViews for different countries, or identify one country and link its resource to other countries. (in which case all employees regardless of where they come from, would see the same screen.

a little tip: i think as a workaround to avoid lose country functionality you can hide non-mandatory fields and rename labels through iview Personalization (Ctrl + Right Click in Preview mode), in order to match screen of different countries
2) For countries that do not have SAP iViews, we again identify the closes country screen and configure it in Country Specific Settings.
Which again means, my current setting (1 Portal {Role Definition}, 1 Workset, 1 Page 1 iView) for Address for all employees and still show country specific screens by resolving molga wont work anymore?
Portal always works with MOL/UGR parameters by using std services/resources/iviews, etc.
As an alternative, you can build a custom services/resources/iviews and then avoid this call (i'm talking about relate a one particular iview with a new resource, and this with a new service).
But i suggest maintain a simmilar behaviour to std, thinking of future upgrades and to get the advantages of functionality already built...

I am getting "Syntax error in program SAPLHRXSS_PER_MAC ., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE " error Message on the portal (ESS--->Personal Information Screen).
When I did RFC trace analysis (using ST 22) this is what i get.
Can you let me know what could be the issue.
We are running HR Backend(Support Pack 15,ecc 5.0).
Portal (EP 6.0 SP19, ESS 100 (SP 10)).

Oracle Financials AP 11i tables Vs R12 tables

I have a package that works in Oracle Apps 11i instance. This package is using 11i tables in its cursors. we are moving this package to r12 and thus this package has to run in r12 using r12 tables. I have heard that a lot of tables have been changed from 11i to r12 in oracle financials. here is the code.

Emp personal information

i am new to HR related workflow.i am developing the emp personal information workflow ....
in approver screen i have 8 buttons .thats why i create 8 terminating events.
in 8 buttons the approver clicks any button then mail goes to employee..but how can the workflow check the 8 branches.
thats why i create one method for status for z table.what code i can write in that method..can any body help me out pls...

If you have 8 terminating events for the task, the workflow should automatically have 8 different outcomes for the step. Then you just put your email sending step into the branch(es) in which you want to send the email. Or if the same email needs to be send from several branches, you might think about something more sensible solution (so that you don't have a similar step in several branches).

I have no idea what you mean by this? If you are using terminating events, you should not need need any Z-table and status checking methods, or whatever. Unless you need some status table for some other purposes?

Interfacing vendor contact person information

Hi All,
Scenario:
We are implementing and MDM solution to keep a central vendor repository, which will be the source for multiple backend ECC systems. We use SAP PI as middleware and try to stay as much as possible with the standard SAP IDoc formats.
Problem:
Unlike for customer MD SAP doesn't seem to support the interfacing of contact person details via ALE for vendors (or I haven't found it yet, if it is there, please let me know, it would be great news ). For debmas you have an E1KNVKM segment included in the debmas IDocs and I assume that there will also be ADR3MAS messages to provide the address details.
I believe that we'll have to go for customizing to get the same for the vendors but was hoping that someone has already gone through this effort and can share some best practices? Especially when it comes to configuring the system to make sure that the contact persons will be linked correctly to the vendors taking the CAM into account. (How to configure TSADOBJ and so on...)

Hi,
Take out the list of fields for vendor contact information in the respective table and try to include them in your custom segment in your message type and try to populate the data in that and sent it through the IDOC.
if the same information can be handled at inbound system then you can capture the same.

ESS:WebDynpro Based Personal Information iviews.?

I am configuring ESS Personal Information. Using Ecc 5.0 , mySAP ERP 2004 60.2 ESS BP and EP6.0. Has anybody configured WebDynpro based Personal Information for country specific India version( country code:40)..Am able to get ITS based Personal Information,but clients are asking for WebDynpro based iviews

We are using EP 6.0 and we have downloaded standard Business Packages of mySAP ERP 2004 60.2. SAP had told that webDynpro based iviews were not present earlier and now they have released the patch for Personal Info for india country version..
The patch has been applied by the basis person.
The error what we get is:

In ESS- Personal Information want to call extra ITs.

We are using Portal versions 7.3 and ECC 6, EHP6
In Ess- Personal Information (Workset) there are 5 iviews (IT0002, IT0006, IT0009, IT0021, IT0185) this all are standard.
In this workset (Personal Information) I want to call another ITs. Those are (IT 0001, IT0028, IT0587, IT0588, IT0105, IT0022,) This all ITs I can see in table V_T7XSSPERSUBTYP - country grouping 40.
Can I call this above ITs without customization,
I am thinking without customization we can't configure.
Am I wright or wrong? Please let me know.
Can you tell me in which version we can do this if available.

Bank Details link under Personal Information is not appearing

Hi All,
In ESS if I attach a ESS user to any US employee then i am not able to see the link for bank details under Personal Information. I have maintained all the steps like,
1)Services maintained and the link resource is maintained for US .
2) service maintained for country specific
3) service attached to sub area
Could anybody help me in this case.

Are you able to see other services under Personal information Area page.? if yes then..
Can you check if you have defined any coding in Proxy class settings for Bank application.. you can find this in SPRO.
what else..... hmmmm check if you have not hidden BANK_US service in customizing tables in SPRO..

Change source field in Employee Self Service - Personal Information

Dear Expert,
I want to change source field in ESS - Personal Information. Currently, value of field Full Name in Personal Data - Personal Information is taken from column CNAME in table PA0002. I want to change it so that value for field Full Name is not taken from that column.
Please help if you have any information about how to do this.

HI Febrianti,
To change this you have to change data binding of the field in the webdynpro java application.
MOst of the Fields on screen are mapped to fields in HCMT(R structure) structures in backend.
If new field , with which you want to bind full name is already present in the R-structure then you just have to change the binding else you have to do model changes .
More clarification is needed about your doubt as to using which field you now want to use to read full name.

Error in personal information in ESS

Hi all
We have suceessfully configured ESS business package.But when i click on the personal information workset, i am unable to see any details.Instead i am getting the message "There are no services in this area"
Any configurations needed to rectify this error.

How do I count specific, smaller groups of information in one large table?

Hello all,
I have a feeling the answer to this is right under my nose, but somehow, it is evading me.
I would like to be able to count how many photos are in any specific gallery. Why? Well, on my TOC page, I thought it would be cool to show the user how many photos were in any given gallery displayed on the screen as part of all the gallery data I'm presenting. It's not necessary, but I believe it adds a nice touch. My thought was to have one massive table containing all the photo information and another massive table containing the gallery information, and currently I do. I can pull various gallery information based on user selections, but accurately counting the correct number of images per gallery is evading me.
In my DB, I have the table, 'galleries', which has several columns, but the two most relevant are g_id and g_spe. g_id is the primary key and is an AI column that represents also the gallery 'serial' number. g_spec is a value that will have one of 11 different values in it (not relevant for this topic.)
Additionally, there is the table, 'photos', and in this table are three columns: p_id, g_id and p_fname. p_id is the primary key, g_id is the foreign key (primary key of the 'galleries' table) and p_fname contains the filename of each photo in my ever-expanding gallery.
Here's the abbreviated contents of the galleries table showing only the first 2 columns:

For now, each gallery has 17 images which was just some random number I chose.
I need to be able to write a query that says, tell me how many photos are in a specific photoset (in the photos table) based on the number in galleries.g_id and photos.g_id being equal.
As you see in the photos table, the p_id column is an AI column (call it photo serial numbers), and the g_id column assigns each specific photo to a specific gallery number that is equal to some gallery ID in the galleries.g_id table. SPECIFICALLY, for example I would want to have the query count the number of rows in the photos table whose g_id = 2 when referenced to g_id = 2 in the galleries table.
I have been messing with different DISTINCT and COUNT methods, but all seem to be limited to working with just one table, and here, I need to reference two tables to acheive my result.
Would this be better if each gallery had its own table?
It should be so bloody simple, but it's just not clear.

I got it!
Here's the deal: the query that picks the subset of records:
$conn = dbConnect('query');
$sql = "SELECT *
        FROM galleries
        WHERE g_spec = '$spec%'
        ORDER BY g_id DESC
        LIMIT $startRow,".SHOWMAX;
$result = $conn->query($sql) or die(mysqli_error());
$galSpec = $result->fetch_assoc();
picks 3 at a time, and with each record is an individual gallery number (g_id). So, I went down into my code where a do...while loop runs through the data, displaying the info for each subset of records and I added another query:
$conn = dbConnect('query');
$getTotal = "SELECT COUNT(*)
            FROM photos
            WHERE g_id = {$galSpec['g_id']}
            GROUP BY g_id";
$total = $conn->query($getTotal);
$row = $total->fetch_row();
$totalPix = $row[0];
which uses the value in $galSpec['g_id']. I didn't know the proper syntax for including it, but when I tried the curly braces, it worked. I altered the number of photos in each gallery in the photos table so that each total is different, and the results display perfectly.
And as you can see, I used some of the code you suggested in the second query and all is well.
