I've commented there. Will I get email of follow up comments ? There doesn't
seem to be a 'subscribe' option.

    Hey all,
    The Flex team has a group called the Architecture Review Board that meets
    regularly to address issues that seem to be coming up. It's the kind of
    group that often gets to deal with the "hallway conversation" issues. I've
    taken a number of the issues that we've resolved over the last few months
    and put the notes from those decisions on the Gumbo page
    (http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Gumbo) down at the bottom.
    A few notes, the ones that are already closed should be marked as such.
    There are 2 at the bottom that are getting resolved now, so I've opened the
    comments section if you're interested. Finally the Halo/MXML prefix issue
    is potentially going to be re-opened dependingon the outcome of the Fx
    prefix discussion (which I'll be posting more about later today).
    We will briefly discuss the ARB issues in our standard iteration meeting,
    and will be better about having notes posted as the decision is coming up as
    we move forward.
    Matt

  • Issue with ALV grid print preview/spool

    Hello everyone,
    I am working on a report and I am having some issues with ALV grid. Currently in our DEV and QA environments the user can run the report, view the ALV grid, and print the grid without any issues.
    However this isn't the case in the Prod environment. The user is able to run the report and view the grid without any issues. But when they click print preview or click print, the spool is incorrect. It shows the proper values from the grid, but the first field is reduced in length. Rather than showing a numeric field of length 10 it shows 99999999# or 99999999...
    The programs are identical through every environment, including user parameters, formats, and spool settings. I have been told printing grids may have some issues, does anyone have any advice or dealt with this issue before?
    I appreciate the help.
    Thanks,
    C

    I was waiting to hear from the functional team on the matter and no one has mentioned any more issues.  I am assuming the problem is solved.  I just noticed the thread was still un-answered and wanted to give an update.
    Thank you for you help Vijay.
    Regards
    C

  • Group-by grid component

    Hello,
    Is there a group-by component, which allows you to group the
    grid by column? Similar to the Microsoft Outlook aggregation
    feature where when you select a column, it will group the grid
    results by that column. I know that extjs has this.

    The AdvancedDataGrid in Flex 3.0 has some of this capability.

    Select the textfield that is inside the movieclip and in the properties panel you should see a dropdown for selecting the type of textfield.  If you select Dynamic and then assign an instance name to the textfield you can use that instance name in your code to assign the text when the file runs.  If you were to name the textfield "tField", then the code you would use inside an instance of your movieclip named "mClip1" would be...
    mClip1.tField.text = "your text";
    So, if I have multiple buttons, using your example, would the code read
    mClip1.tField.text = "your text";
    mClip1.tField2.text = "your text2";
    mClip1.tField3.text = "your text3";
    mClip1.tField4.text = "your text4";
    And my buttons are built inside movieclips, ie
    Main Timeline > aboutButton_mc > aboutText_mc > "about"
                        > contactsButton_mc > contactsText_mc > "contacts"
    can the code be put at any level, or does it need to reside on the Main Timeline to access all the movie clips' text fields?
    Just in case this may be too complex to get into via this forum, if you know of any good tutorials, that would be awesome too!
    I tried doing a search, but it's so hard to tell if they might be in AS2, or AS3, and if they would apply to newer versions of Adobe Flash (I have CS5)

    On click should open a new page, yes? So it won't matter.

  • Can Illustrator snap clipping groups to grid using the clipping path?

    I want to be able to snap a clipping group to grid so that the clipping path snaps to the grid, not the masked paths. Is this possible?

    Thanks for the replies, however neither is a solution to the problem. I want to make a seamless tessellation pattern using a clipping group as the unit of repetition. No matter what I try, Illustrator does not allow me to "over-ride" the anchor points of the clipping contents in order to snap the clipping path to grid.  Of course it can be done manually, but if the clipping mask is an equilateral triangle, for example, and the pattern reflects on all sides of the triangle as it repeats, a manual construction is a hassle. And besides, the whole idea is to use snap-to-grid to guarantee a seamless tessellation.
    The solution to the problem would be if Illustrator could treat a clipping path as a crop rather than a mask when snapping to grid.

  • Issue with Scale base routines in Pricing

    Hi All,
                    This is regarding one issue I am facing in Invoice creation.
    It happens randomly in some invoices (impact is in <5 % of invoices) that a discount condition value is incorrectly calculated when created through batch job.
    This issue is not replicable in any of the lower environments.
    When we cancel the invoice in produciton system and recreate it, the values are calculated correctly and we failed to replicate it even in production to find the root cause.
    Here are the details:
    We have a custom condition type which is a group condition (header as well as item) which is set in percentage where customer is supposed to get a discount (for eg. 1 % on the net price)
    We have a Scale Base value routine which fetches the ‘scale base value’ from a custom table and assigns it to the item on the invoice (XKOMV-KSTBS).
    All further calculation happens in standard SAP code where it checks the scales maintained in the condition record and applies the correct rate so the discount is applied accordingly.
    Our pricing routine is working fine and is passing correct value to the scale base field.
    The issue is in standard SAP code which applies the discount.
    For all the impacted invoices, we have correct scale base values (fetched in our routine) but the corresponding discounts (KONV-KBETR and KONV-KWERT) are zero.
    Only the last item in all the invoices shows a large negative value which is wrong .
    Please guide me in finding the root cause.
    Regards
    Ritu

    Hi,
    These requirements should be met to fetch the condition record in the document.
    1 = Different Payer
    If this requirement is assigned to the condition type, the sold-to-party and payer should be different, so it will be picked up in the document.
    2 = Item with Pricing
    The item category of the item should be relevent for pricing.
    3 = Foreign currency doc
    The company code currency is derived from sales org in a sales document. But we can change the document currency in the sales document header also. And condition also can be maintianed in different currency. If this requirement is assigned, the company code currency and document currency should be different.
    4 = Cost
    If this requirement is set, the item should be relevent for cost determination (setting in item category)
    5 = No Condit Exclusion
    If this requirement is set, it will not consider the condition, if any condition exclusion is maintianed for it.

  • Nested Sequence issue: keyframe scale setting changes after rendering?

    Hi,
    I'm using PremierePro CS5.5, and have been having this same issue since CS4. After nesting a group of clips, I make the timeline effects entries to animate the nested sequence. For this example, let's say I start at 00.00 with the scale set at 150%, and end the sequence with the scale set to 300%. Just zooming in. Looks OK, so I hit return and render the nested sequence. It plays back, all is good, but after it stops the 00.00 setting magically changes to 100% or some other percentage.  I've tried everything I can think of, from selecting Hold or Linear for the keyframe, to deleting all the keyframes and redoing the settings. It only happens with nested sequences and it seems to only be the scale setting that goes flukey. Anybody else have this happen and could you tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Christy

    Thanks for checking it out Jim. It doesnt happen every time, you know how that goes... just often enough to drive me batty. I'm doing animated whiteboard videos. Lots of short bits of video layered with graphics and stills, some effects, then all that is nested and sometimes the rate compressed. Then I zoom in a bit and that seems to be the last straw. Maybe I am just doing too much? It's a simple, uncomplicated look to the finished piece, but it takes a lot of cuts and tweaks to get it that way.

  • SQL Developer 1.1.0.21: Issues with Data Grid and SQL syntax checking

    In this new release of SQL Dev, when I execute a SQL in the SQL Worksheet and click in the Data Grid in the Results tab and try to navigate within a record using arrow keys, the grid cell enters into edit mode by default and so I cannot use the Left or Right arrow keys to navigate the grid. I am forced to use tab key to navigate. This is counter intuitive in my opinion.
    Is there any option to change this behavior?
    Another issue that I have come across is with SQL syntax checking. In some cases, when I press F9 to execute a SQL, it shows the SQL as executed i.e. shows something like 0.0134 seconds in the toolbar and no results displayed. In reality, the SQL had some syntax error which were NOT reported. This can be frustrating since now I have to fall back to SQL*Plus or TOAD just for syntax check.
    I like the fact that SQLDev highlights the current SQL but it would be more useful if it just indicated the first line of the current sql instead of highlighting the whole sql.

    In the "Results" tab, Click Ctrl & Tab keys (at the same time) or with mouse click on any cell other than the first column (a sequence or rownum), you will be able to navigate using the arrow keys.

  • DSCL issues: /Groups/admin problem

    Hello,
    As I recently reinstalled OS X, there was a temporary user and, even though it's been deleted, it left some traces behind. I looked online how to erase all traces of deleted users and found a nice tutorial which made me delete /Groups/admin because the user was in that group (OS X default)
    Not so much fun, really... the tutorial could use some cleanup, unless it was there on purpose
    Other groups that were deleted include _pladmin. Basically any group which an Administrator is part of.
    Now, here's my question:
    Is there a way to clean up and/or restore the system's user listings? So that the /Groups/admin and other groups are restored to their defaults. I tried to restore them by manual input, but the system still has a bunch of hick-ups, which cause iTunes not to open, etc.
    Any ideas and suggestions are welcome. Tech talk is fine, I'm a programmer
    Kashidom Nenakh,
    Mantha Designs inc.

    Thanks, that did it!
    It wasn't my fault, really. The tutorial just said to do various things to get rid of users and I wanted a clean setup. But I should've studied the manpages more carefully. Now I know how to roll DSCL, so the issue won't repeat itself

  • Issues grouping music videos and tv shows

    I have had this issue on both my 3G and 2G. SOme artists, TV shows will group in the video mode in the iphone and some wont. I have a some screenshot. I checked the properties and theyre identical as far as bit rate, type, etc... Thanks in advance.

    Thank you! That's been driving me crazy. I have one artist with only 2 videos. I've tried re-valuing the artist name, removing from the iPhone, putting them back... Now I just need to find another video.

  • Media query issues in fluid grid layout (take a look at this code)

    how to make adjustments in specific device views without screwing everything up in other views. I know in the css designer when I click global it makes changes to all views which is great. But when I click one of the little icons at the button of the screen (like the smartphone icon or tabet etc) the changes I make in the view dont stay in that view but affect all views. So I'm coming to understand ( maybe wrongly) that those icon have no design power other than to show you what thing look like in that view. I'm starting to focus on clicking the stlye sheet dreamweaver cc created (not the boilerplate one) clicking the media query for the screen size I want to adjust and finding the selector I want to tweek (ITS RIGHT HERE THE HICKUP I'M HAVING IS AT - i CANT ADJUST  IMAGES THAT I HAVE SPECIFICALLY IN THE CORRESPONDING VIEW WITHOUT SCREWING EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE UP IN THE OTHER VIEWS) Can anybody invision what I'm trying to do and what happening and give me a fix????
    Idealy I would like to simply click the view icon of the screen size I want to tweak and drag handle bars to resize images and the adjustment stay only in that sceen size range, but this is not happening. This why I say that those (may wrongly I might be doing something wrong) icons have no design power other than to give you a view of things. But either way whether I can click icons and rag handle handle bars or in I have to use css designer I cant specifically work in one view without affecting all the others.
    Below is css code for media queries that are in my style sheet. It might not be the cleanest bit I want you to focus on two main aspsects of the code
         1) The media queries, particularly the smartphone 480 and below. ( but all media queries if need be)
         2) In the header and in the list iteams I have images. Its these images that I'm trying to resize - but only specific changes in specific views

    By default, image height and width are 100% in FluidGrid Layouts.  You'll find it near the top of your CSS code.
    @charset "utf-8";
    img, object, embed, video {
    max-width: 100%;
    .ie6 img {
    width:100%;
    That's so they can re-scale to fit the various layouts.  If you need to assign explicit height & width values to certain elements, you can override that CSS rule by using the height & width attributes in your HTML code like this.
    <img src="some_image.jpg" height="xxx"  width="xxx">
    Or, you can give your image a class name and target that class with CSS Media Queries.  For an example, copy & paste this code into a new, blank document.  SaveAs test.hml and preview in browsers at different screen widths.
    <!doctype html>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    <style>
    /**FLUID GRID DEFAULT**/
    img, object, embed, video{
    max-width: 100%;
    .ie6 img {
    width:100%;
    /* Special Rules for mobiles */
    @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) {
    .nav {width:320px; height:74px; }
    /* Special Rules for Tablets */
    @media only screen and (min-width: 482px) and (max-width: 1024px) {
    .nav {width: 480px; height: 148px;}
    /* Special Rules for Desktops */
    @media only screen and (min-width: 1025px) and (max-width: 1230px) {
    .nav {width: 1000px; height: 225px;}
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <h3>This image naturally rescales to layout</h3>
    <img src="http://placehold.it/1000x225" alt="some description">
    <h3>This image has a .nav class &amp; rescales to set media query break points.</h3>
    <img class="nav" src="http://placehold.it/1000x225" alt="some description">
    </body>
    </html>
    Does this make sense now?

  • Forest Trust Issues (Group Membership Issues)

    OK - this is going to be long. I hope I am detailed enough.
    Four domains, each in their own forests:
    domain.w.com
    domain.x.com
    domain.y.com
    domain.z.com
    For the sake of everyone, I'll refer to each domain as "w" or "x", which would be domain.w.com and domain.x.com, respectively.
    Domains x, y, and z all have users that require access to resources on domain
    w. Remember - each domain is in its own forest.
    Three trusts were created on domain w. Since the users on domain w do not need any resources on the other domains, three "ONE-WAY:OUTGOING" trusts were created (one for each) via Active Directory Domains and
    Trusts on domain w. The option to create the trust (have it show up in Active Directory Domains and Trusts) in the other domains (in this case
    x, y, and z) was selected.
    After the trusts were created from domain w, the trusts were verified. Administrators on domain
    w could "verify" the trusts (using admin accounts created for them on the three trusted domains).
    Since everything looked good (domain w shows up as an incoming trust for the other three domains), permissions for specific users on domains
    x, y, and z were granted for a share in domain
    w.
    Only... that didn't happen. When attempting to change permissions on the share, administrators were able to change the working domain directory to either
    x, y, or z... but searching returned zero results. Zilch.
    *It should be noted that this scenario has been in place for quite some time now, and that all groups/users previously defined on the share (that belong to the three domains trusted by domain
    w) now all show up as SIDs.
    When attempting to verify (validate) the incoming trust on any of the three domains, the error "Windows cannot find an Active Directory Domain Controller for the domain.w.com domain. Verify that an AD DC is available and then try again."
    is returned.
    Pinging domain.w.com returns the correct address. Direct pings to both domain controllers on domain w
    is also working. Domain w can also do the same pings that I just listed to all three other domains with correct results.
    There is no firewall in between these forests.
    I am leaning towards a DNS or AD issue on the domain w side. This all occurred at once on the same day last week, and no changes were made on
    x, y, or z. Of course... domain
    w is another entity and they are saying they have no clue why its not working.
    Questions:
    Should I be able to verify the trust from x, y, or
    z to domain w?
    Why cant domain w see the users/groups in the other domains?
    Why does domain w validate the trust if the other three domains cant?
    Could this be caused by some setting in GPO having to do with LDAP security, signing requirements, or authentication settings?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Chris

    Yes, this is related to DNS, from what you describe.
    The simplest way to configure this is to go to EACH dns server on both sides of the trust and configure it for a conditional forwarder of the others dns zone.
    http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/windows-and-office/configuring-dns-forwarders-to-support-windows-server-2003-forest-trusts/501/
    Unless you have a root dns server for all four zones already.

  • Filter Issue in ALV Grid

    I am displaying the table in ALV Grid format. I have 4 fields in the table. The filter works for the first 3 fields, but doesnot work for the last field.
    Please let me know what might be the issue.
    Find the table declaration and the table population as in the below code
    TYPES : BEGIN OF ty_message,
              avm_nr  TYPE avm_nr,
              motiv   TYPE motiv_nr,
              text    TYPE t100-text,
              msg     TYPE merep_orderstat,
            END OF ty_message.
    DATA: gt_message TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF ty_message,
              gs_message TYPE ty_message.
        gs_message-avm_nr   = gs_upload-avm_nr.
        gs_message-motiv      = gs_upload-motiv.
        gs_message-text        = 'Order Successfully Changed'.
        gs_message-msg       = 'Success'.
        APPEND gs_message TO gt_message.
        CLEAR gs_message.
    Regards,
    Salil

    Since the field MSG refer to MEREP_ORDERSTAT which is CHAR10, it will convert the content to UpperCase.
    So, try like:
        gs_message-avm_nr   = gs_upload-avm_nr.
        gs_message-motiv      = gs_upload-motiv.
        gs_message-text        = 'Order Successfully Changed'.
        gs_message-msg       = 'SUCCESS'.
        APPEND gs_message TO gt_message.
        CLEAR gs_message.
