ARCHIEVING PROCESS

This is manish.I hope u will suggest & place on right path.The problem is as follows-
AA)
1) During archiving the inforecord ,as we know we have to apply deletion flag first
2) Then by me17 we can create archieve file (i.e new variant to create & save it)
3) then date & spool request
4) And execute - we got messege " a new archieve job has been scheduled"
Now we can use trans. SARA to delete that data.When i gave object name & click on "delete" tab
Adelete prog. screen appears.Now wheni moves to archieve selection "" there is no file presents on the screen"" so i am unable to pick the job for deletion.
Can anybody tell why this occuring? Also
is there any step is missing?
BB) Can we made archieving procedure by the 1)me17 & 2)SARA ? for material,bom,inforecords ?
because as i think the procedure for all data archieving is same.Or there is seprate procedure for respective data?

solved myself.Just remove the "TEST RUN" FLAG & MARK ON "_PRODUCTION RUN_"

Now coming to archiving: An archive log is a copy of redo log files, it includes the sequence number and redo entries. Whenever there is a log switch (redo log files gets filled in circular fashion), then arch process will start archive filled redo log file. So during this process arch process will read the filled redo log files and make the copy of it in archive file. LGWR cannot write this filled redo file until ans unless arch process completes copying of redolog entries to archive log file.
Archive log files are required for recovery if in future we wish to recover database during media/datafile/controlfile failure.

Archieve Process Order

Dear all,
Please look into the below mentioned scenario & revert your thoughts.
There is a stock in QM lot of XYZ material. The process order was of year 2012 & hence it was TECOed & removed from the system.
Now when i am trying to do UD through QA32 it is throwing error ( as it should ) as it does not find that P.O. in current period.
So for making UD i must have to revoke the P.O. from TECO status.

How to archieve the bpm 11g process

I have customer which have a lot of process instance,before delete the finish and expire process instance,they want to archive them,such as archieve the finish process before some date(11.30),I want to ask do we have some way to support this function?

This feature has been disabled in version 11g and to do some purging of instances of BPM (SOA Suite) should ask a DBA to take these actions within the database.

Could not archieve file after processing error in Rwb of sender adapter

Till today afternoon it is running fine.
The rpocess here is we will keep the files in FTP site. and pi polls and places the files in NFS Mount server AL11(FILE/STAGING).
Now these file will be process from FILE/STAGING to FILE/PROCESS in al11 .
Then proxy get trigerred and sends the data to sap where workflow will be trigerred.
now the issues file is getting polled from ftp and placed in file/staging folder perfectly.
Then the file needs to be moved to file/process folder using file adapter. here the issue is coming
error is as shown below

1. check whether you have authorization for write access.
2. Check the path provided for process.
3. Ensure both the staging and the process paths are different.

How to check the processed data for archieved messages in sap pi

Dear all,
1. which tables in sap pi stores the data processed in PI
2. where will we find the archived messages (DATA but not LOGS)
3. As table size increases rapidl, how to schedule a background job to delete the table entries which were older than 30 days

Dear Sushanth,
Welcome to scn,
For all your query, check "SARA" tcode for answer. In standard, We have pre defined archiving objects (Usually names starts inital 2 letters of module and main table or process like PR_Order).
There are different tabs available (check screen below) in SARA, Explore each for more information.
For tables/object identification - use "Database tables" Tab (tcode DB15).
For Archived data, check "Spool" (green icon beside logs)
There is option to schedule tasks in Preproc, Write and Delete tabs.

Help requested on Procedure to Archieve Equipment Master Data

Hello SAP Gurus,
We have a requirement to Archive the Equipment Master data in SAP 4.7 system that run on Linux platform with Oracle 10g database. Can anyone of you please guide us with any links or documents which would detail the step by step process on how to do it and what are the consideration that have to be taken in to account.
Any How To document with step by step process would be of great help as we have not this task before.

I was trying to archieve one equipment data in our sandbox system. My functional consultant has set the deletion flag on equipment to be deleted and then we are trying to run SARA tcode for Object PM_EQUI and defined variants needed.
Preprocessing went through fine next we had run Write Job that too completed successfully and there was a archive session created as well.
when go to configure Delete in SARA it is showing that there is no data to be selected . when I look in to CCMS archieve monitor in tcode SAR_SHOW_MONITOR this shows as - No Method Method assigned !!
Can you please suggest what can be the issue ? I am clue less as this was my first experience with SARA Tcode.
Is there any howto document available that give step by step screenshot for archieving ?

Intra date file processing in EBS

Hi,
While processing Intra date file, we are unable to post the opening balance (BAI code 040) in EBS processing.I have configured 040 External transaction and activated the 21 process type but still we are unable to post the opening balance with 040 value.

As Lalit suggested, I put the processing mode as Archieve, and gave queue name as "Temp". In the archieve folder I could able to see the file sequence how they are getting processed and it is up to my requirement.
Now can I view the same file processing in "Temp" Queue. For this I think I need to configure the queues.
Please guide me how to configure the queues and view the files in this queue "Temp".

Order type dependent parameters for process order

Hello friends,
In Order type dependent parameters for process order (T.C COR4), there is subscreen for Process data documentation.Inside it we have three options :a) Batch Record Required
b) Order Record Required
c) No Process Data Documentation Reqd.
Through F1 help whatever information i have got regarding them, is not cleared.
According to it, if i select Order Record Reqd, than first of all i will have to delete (archieve) the order record than only i can delete (archieve) the process order.The same is with Batch Record Required.
So according to it if i want to delete the process order than first i will have to delete order record.So guys may i know which order record firstly i have to delete?Than only the system status for process order will not have the status ORRQ (Order Record Reqd).
And one more thing friends,if i select the third option No Process Data Documentation Reqd than which process data documentation system will not create?Or what will happen if i select this third option?

How do I archive a processed file and move

This is not our standard. Our standard is to output the extract file, then
archive a copy. The reason is that a process usually comes along afterward and
moves the file to another location.
Also within scope of this item is the need to confirm that any successor
processes like copying the file actually move the file, when the successor(s)
are done, there should be no file left in the 817 folder so that we know the
processing happened.

Presently it is the last run that is going into the achieve. I want my current run as well to go into the achieve at run time.
The exe is an automatic set up for the archieve folder.
A different job will be processed to take away the folder as indicated in the requirement and at that point in time there should be no file in the 817 folder anymore.
Hope it is clearer now.
So how is it controlled currently? Using a conditional precedence constraint?

Problem on archieving sales documents

Hi Experts,
I found a problem when archieving sales docs. (Object: SD_VBAK). Error was "Subsequent order (delivery) is not complete:00080xxxxx".
Compared with the DNs of successful sales docs. & failure sales docs., found that the field "Intercompany Billing Status" under "Processing" tab of DN item was "A - Not yet processed" for the DNs of failure sales docs. while it was blank (Not Relevant) for the DNs of successful sales docs. Also, in Document Flow, the status for DNs of failure sales docs. was "Being processed" while the status for DNs of successful sales docs. was "Completed". However, those DNs of failure sales docs. were already fully picked, GI completed & fully invoiced.
Could you advise the cause of this failure & error and how to fix it ?

Dear Fong,
Our problem is to Archive the data, which we cannot do without completing to processing cycle. What I would do is sit with Functional or BU showing them status "Not yet Processed". Ask them suggestion to complete the cycle to finish the archiving.
They are best informed people about status. I feel no other would help.

File processing by date

HI all,
I configured file to file scenario, in the sender comm channel I selected file Processing sequence as "By date" which means that Files are processed according to their time stamp in the file system, starting with the oldest file.
While testing, I placed the files in source system with same date but different timings. But the files are not processing according to oldest time stamp, inturn they are processing in some jumbled manner.
This I came to know when the files are created in target system with their timestamp that includes milliseconds also.
However, I want to process the files according to their timestamp, how can I do this?

SXMB_MONI-- Processing Statistcs - XML messages in "Being Edited" State

Under SXMB_MONI--> Processing Statistics, I see that I have a large number of messages in a state of "XML Message being edited". I need to delete these messages out of my system. The regular delete jobs do not work because they are not in a state of Complete Successfully or in error.
These are causing my persistence layer to be above 100%. Any input is appreciated. All of the online help mentions every statistic on this page except for the "XML message being edited".

Post Mapping Process Execution

Hi,
I have a post mapping process for a mapping.
The post mapping process gets executed even when the mapping results in an error.
I wanted to know is there any parameter that needs to be set so that post mapping process would be executed only on successful execution of mapping.
The parameter "Post Mapping Process Run Condition" is set to On Success.
Also my Mapping performs Set based Operation

The only way to archieve this currently is to create a super-procedure that calls all your stored procedures in sequence, and use the super-procedure with the post mapping operator.

Archieve material Master data

Hi,
We have uploaded few Material Masters ( Maintained at client level i.e Basic data 1 , 2 and classification view) , these materials are not required. I want to archieve those materials, and want those not be be viewed by Purchasing or sales team.

Yes it is first time in Production system.
Now I have tested with 2 Materials.
Steps I am following .
1. Deletion Flag.
2. Maintain Variant in MM71, Choosing Radio Button For Individual Selection screen and putting check mark on Created.Then in the new screen giving the material , Processing option as Production Mode.
Then going for Attributes , which is allowing to create variant.
Saving the variant with meaning and clicking Only display in Catalog.Then executing it.
3. Now system shows the material.
4. Then I am going to SARA. object "MM_MATNR" then choosing mark deletion,
Then Archive selection , on enter it is coming separate pop up, and I am selecting the variant.
5. Going back and maintaining start data and spool parameters.
then executing, and when I am going to see MM03.
The material 1100005556 does not exist or is not activated
Message no. M3305
Seems it is o.k .
Could you look to my steps and advise if any thing I am missing.
