Archive and File area empty, but used space full
Hi,
I have a problem with the File area. I loaded files on my 20GB space. Later I deleted them by putting them in the archive. No file were shown in the archive. I tried several times. The Creative Cloud Mac application tells me now that my space is full, but nothing appears either in the Files or in the Archive section. I also emptied the local folders, nothing.
Thanks for help
Nino

I keep getting this error code while trying to import a cd to my itunes: "Error occurred while converting the file. The disc you are attempting to use is full. removing files and emptying the recycle bin will free up additional space." What does this mean?
Well it probably means exactly what it says... How much free space is there on your hard drive where the iTunes Media folder resides? I believe there is also an obscure bug that can occur when software doesn't read the true value of the free space properly, and the workaround is, perversely, to duplicate some content so that with less actual free space the software in question perceives it as more. I've no idea if iTunes is affected by such a bug.

When I open up my itunes library on my hard drive it says it contains 119 gb.I tried to look up individual songs under each album and artist.Every time I open an album it says the folder is empty.I exported the library earlier to an external hard drive. It took over an hour. When I look on that library it also says the files are empty, yet when open itunes and play songs they are all still there. Why doesn't the library list each song since it says it contains 119gb?
bzq wrote:
Niel, I tried that several times but the Choose Library screen never appeared.
Then try again.
Make sure iTunes is not running.
Hold the Option key.
Click the iTunes icon in the dock.
Select Choose library...
Select the iTunes folder you copied to the external
ITunes would boot up like usual but the only songs listed were in the Cloud. None of my Apps, Playlists, etc. appeared.
Because you moved the library and have not yet told iTunes to Choose the library you moved. -
I keep getting "error occurred while attempting to import file *******. The disc your are attempting to use is full." I have an external hard drive that I moved files over to, but apparently they're also still on my hard drive? HELP!
So you have backed up the content of the computer's hard drive, too?
That usually is a great idea since it is possible to lose use of the system
if parts of it have accidentally been removed or get over-written, or the
main system files get corrupted, when the hard disk drive gets too full.
If you have not trashed the originals of your created content, that remain
after you made copies on an external hard drive or other device, then
that is what you'd have to do to reclaim the capacity still in use by them.
What are specifications of the hard disk drive? The unused capacity
verses the used, in GB? If the hard drive has less than 15 to 20%
free or unused capacity, you could run into trouble. Mine are 40-50%
unused hard drive space, so ample room is available for automatic
Virtual Memory to use that capacity as temporary swap file space.
This is helpful when the computer could use more physical RAM
memory capacity, but doesn't have it. Or if the RAM is maxxed out
and you can't add any more. Virtual Memory is part of OS X and the
system automatically can use as much as is available, but it is better
to be sure there is plenty of resources available to include chip RAM
as well as unused or free hard drive capacity for use as VM.
If for some reason your files in Trash won't go away when you empty
it, you may have to restart. Be sure you have not included any System
files in the content in the Trash, or the Mac may not start up later on.
You may have to boot the computer from the install-restore OS X DVD
and run Repair Disk from its version of Disk Utility, to be sure it's OK.
I'm guessing that by now you know enough about the vintage system
in the older hardware to figure it out, so I won't write about it now.
In any event... hopefully you can simply trash the files, but check them
carefully, & you may need to remove (copy to archive first) even more.
Good luck & happy computing! -
this is the message im having trouble with.
all download and file copies have been paused. the disk you are attempting to use is full
what do i do now?
thanksPerhaps the destination you are trying to download to is full; that's what the message says, after all.
If you're trying to download directly to an iPod touch, then perhaps it is full up.
If you're trying to download to your computer, is there space on your hard drive? Alternatively, is the hard drive set to "read only" or are your account permissions set to deny you the option to save files? -
I had to redownload cs6 from another drive and all the files are there but it wont open any of it

Copying/transferring will not work. You need to install the software using installation files.

I plugged it in to my work computer (used strictly for charging - home computer is where my files are updated) - but today it erased my ipod! Everything is gone! It is asking me set-up questions (Language, country) and asking me to plug it in & go to ITUNES - problem is, my itunes icon is not working? It usually loads as soon as I plug the Ipod in but not today? I can take it home & plug it in & hopefully my files will come back but why is it doing this? (I've had it more than a year & it's never done this?)
It sounds like a setting change on the computer and iTunes synced the iPod. Yo can only sync with one iTunes library, if yo switch the iPod gets erased and its contents replaced with what is in the iTunes library of the computer.
Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and make sure that the box that says "Prevent iPods.. syncing automatically" is checked. -
Tried to transfer a playlist - unable to do so - prompted to update my daughters ipod software - attempt to do so and receive message the disc you are attempting to use is full
Unable to proceed with update is this causing the issue with transferring the playlist? You need to delete some files from your computer's c drive. Do not forget to empty the recycle bin.
It sounds like you clicked on update. -
I backed up my macbook pro using time machine and now my iphoto and itunes are empty. how do I reset the computer to an earlier date? and why would this have happened?
Without more information, I can't tell you why it happened. As to how to restore to an earlier date, please check out the article below. Should help you to restore form a time machine backup.

I cannot click on the menu, the beachball is rotating on my desktop, none of the files appear, and when I click on the Finder, the files are there but inaccessible. All applications open. How do I fix this?
hi there,
try booting into safe mode, by pressing the Shift button once you hear the startup sound.
Hope this helps,
Chris -
This issue is somewhat complex so I will try to explain it as clearly as I can. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
It all began when I kept getting popups from my iPad saying that I had not backed up since May. I realized that was pretty dangerous so I decided to finally try syncing it to iTunes, though I had avoided doing so for so long because I knew that when I tried there was no room on the computer. I then remembered that I have an external hard drive with plenty of storage space, so I got that out and set it up with a folder to move iTunes and the backup into.
On iTunes I went to the Advanced Preferences and changed iTunes Media Folder Location to the G: folder, with the keep organized box checked. I also copied the previous backups from the original C: drive to G: so that I could delete the ones on C:.
I used Junction Link Magic to link my now empty MobileSync backup on C: to a new (JLM would not work unless it was empty) backup folder on external hard drive G:.
I plugged in my iPad to iTunes to sync it, and while it was backing up I checked the new folder on G: to make sure that the backup was being put there. It was.
However, about halfway through I got the message "iTunes library file cannot be saved. The disk you are attempting to use is full."
My question is Why? If it is being made in a 1.5 terabyte hard drive now, and not the computer, why is there no disk space? My guess is that it must still somehow be saving to the computer. But how? And how can I get it to save solely on the G: drive where there is enough room?
I am running Windows XP and the latest version of iTunes.
An additional but not as crucial issue:
Much of my music has been lost, with the being displayed next to the songs in the iTunes library, and only 50 (purchased) songs remain on my iPad. This was because those missing songs were stored on a different external hard drive ( I:). However, I copied many of the music folders on I: over to G: so that everything could be together. I am wondering if it is possible for me to get these songs back onto my iPad. But this is not my most important issue right now, because I believe that once I get the first issue solved I can simply plug in I: and G: at the same time while syncing the iPad, and get the songs back.
Note: I have come to realize the iTunes program itself is still under Program Files in the C: drive. Does this have to do with anything?Short term, free up some disk space. Long term, move the library to a bigger drive.

Please help me!!!!Hi,
After several tries my redo logs are applied now. I think in my case it had to do with the tnsnames.ora. At this moment I have both database in both tnsnames.ora files using the SID and not the SERVICE_NAME.
Now I want to use DGMGRL. Adding a configuration and a stand-by database is working fine, but when I try to enable the configuration DGMGRL gives no feedback and it looks like it is hanging. The log, although says that it succeeded.
In another session 'show configuration' results in the following, confirming that the enable succeeded.
DGMGRL> show configuration
Configuration
Name: avhtest
Enabled: YES
Protection Mode: MaxPerformance
Fast-Start Failover: DISABLED
Databases:
avhtest - Primary database
avhtestls53 - Physical standby database
Current status for "avhtest":

It there anybody that experienced the same problem and/or knows the solution to this?
With kind regards,

I exported my created webpage File > Export > CSS & Images (.htm). Files are created but .htm , .css files are empty and there is not images in /images folder?
Is this bug in FireWorks?Download and use Find Any File to search for the file name and extension of the video. FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders and packages.
You may find several items with the same name so check their size. Note where the larger file resides.

Warning: ORA-16610: command 'ENABLE CONFIGURATION' in progress
It there anybody that experienced the same problem and/or knows the solution to this?
With kind regards,
Martin Schaap

How does the window selected on the spectral measurements express vi affect the output?
I'm using the spectral measurements express vi to find the power spectral density of a fairly broadband signal. I've already discovered a bug in the express vi; it doesn't divide the power spectrum by the equivalent noise bandwith for the window as i
