Archive calendar on blog

I would like to add a calendar on the opening page, so that people can click on specific dates to pull up blogs, like on blogger and other programs. I don't think people realize that there are more blogs than whats on the opening page. Is this possible? How?

Well, it's over 7 months later and still no answer?  I'm having the same issue with my events, it add a 2 day alert on the calendar of the iPhone 4s in addition to the 1 day alert that I had input.  It is correct on my Mac.
I'll keep looking and if I find anything I'll come back.

  • How do I add archive calendar to my iWeb blog?

I cannot find any widgets or code that allow me to add an archive calendar to my blog (to allow selction of blog post by date). Any suggestions?

This isn't really possible without linking your Outlook calendar to your Google calendar.  Google Calendar Sync with Outlook is no longer supported by Google, but I believe you can still find the necessary (free) download at http://google-calendar-sync.en.softonic.com/

  • Duplicate Title of Category | Calendar in Blog

    Dear all,
I did the SEO audit for my website: www.privilegefloor.com & www.lotuslancresort.com and get some SEO errors to fix. There are two problems that I cannot fix are:
    - Duplicate Title of Category page : The title of any category is automatically take from the overall title of blog
    - Duplicate Title of Calenar page : The title of any calendar page is automatically take from the overall title of blog
How to solve this issue? Because the more category and posting date are the more SEO issues for my sites
Thank in advance for your advise.
    Best Regards,
    Kano

I´ve got the same problem. Nearly 500 birthday calenders, each with 800 entries, make my ical unuseable. I sync with mobile me, iphone 4, mac mini server, mac mini and macbook pro. The sync between the iphone and me.com is ok. mobile me seems to be okay too.

  • Archiving Calendar items - Outlook

    Hello,
Very frustrated here, and hoping the community can help me.  I have Outlook 2011 on my Macbook Air on Mavericks (not that the OS matters).  I'm trying to clean up space on my Exchange (work) account, as it's nearly full.  Most of the space is being used from old calendar items with attachments.
How do I archive PARTS of my calendar? I don't want to archive everything, just everything prior to Dec 2013. Is it possible? I can't find a solution anywhere.
    Much appreciated,

I am running Outlook 2003 and cannot sync my new 5G IPOD. I've tried archiving all but future appointments but it still runs briefly then says it can't copy the Outlook calendar.
I also tried to export a .csv file from Outlook directly to the IPOD in disk mode but that didn't work either. Apple documentation says we need to use a .vcs or .ics file. Outlook does not support those formats.

  • Archive Calendar Items

I have had my Curve since before Christmas 2008. I really like it BUT one thing that frustrates me is that it SEEMS to delete calendar items older than two months. Are they going off into an archive I have not found? Can I send them to Outlook archives? This is one of those conundrums that is annoying because I can't figure it out by myself.
Please tell me it is possible to archive older calendar items.

open your calendar, click menu button, options, general
in here there is a settings on how long to keep messages... you would need to set it to never if you want it to just keep building,
also in DTM, under syncronization settings, calendar setup, you can select ... sync all events, future events or you can set a range of dayd before and after

  • Old Archive with New Blog?

I am changing my blog template from the Travel theme to the Gazette theme. I've been using the travel one for months now. What do I do with my archive? Is there a way to move the Travel Blog Archive to the new blog? I like the Gazette Blog main page better as well as each blog entry page. As far as I've been able to figure out, I am unable to just change the theme of my travel blog page to the gazette, I have to start a new page. Is anyone able to offer any advice?

    Hi Esther...
As you have concluded, there is no way to transfer your blog entries from one theme to another. Your only option is to start a new blog page. Of course, you can still leave your current blog online...maybe just put a final entry with a link to the new blog page. Then have both links available in the navigation menu....like old blog and new blog. Sorry I don't have better news for you.

  • Adding Archive list to blog layout

    Hi
Any idea how to add an Archive list to the blog layout to show all recent blogs by date?
A good example is the BC blog page (the archive list on the bottom right).

  • Accessing purged and archived calendar entries

I've been using Palm Calendar since 2003 (Palm Vx, Palm m500, Treo 680), but have never purged.
Now that I've got +32,000 entries, the sync takes too long and the phone takes more than a minute to respond if I select any calendar entry.
So I think I'll need to purge. My questions are:
    1. How can purged and archived entries be accessed? Would that be the DateBook.dba file?
    2. Does each successive archived purge add entries to the same file or do them overwrite the previous file with only the most recently purged items?
I'm sorry if the answers to these questions have already been posted, but I couldn't find them in any thread.
    Thanks,
    Max

    View Solution.

Just found out the answers using Palm's Live Support:
Max Brenner says: I'd like to know how to read purged items
Tom says: You can open it from PalmDesktop. It will be saved as archive. You can open the archive file.
    Max Brenner says: file/open archive/DateBook.dba?
Tom says: Yes. You are right.
Max Brenner says: Then what happens with this file the next time I purge again after a few months?
Tom says: It will be saved in that dba file.
Max Brenner says: but will previously archived files remain there too? Or will they be overwritten?
Tom says:  It will be overwritten that information.
Max Brenner says: So I'll want to back it up first. Is it possible to merge the content of 2 dba files?
Tom says: Yes, You can do it by importing 2 dba files. Then export the entire information to a dba file.
Max Brenner says: Last question. Is there a limit of how many entries Palm Desktop can handle on my Treo 680?
Tom says: There is no limit until the memory gets full.
Max Brenner says: Ok. Thank you so much, Tom!
Tom says: You are most welcome!

  • How do I archive a non-blog page

I have a page announcing an event that has just passed. I want to keep it 'in the freezer' for historical purposes but have it viewed any longer. How can I do this with iWeb? I've searched help to no avail.

You could create a new site within the same domain file and call it archive, move the page there so you could reactivate it whenever you wanted but it would not be in your way. You can add a link to the site or not, you can give the site address to someone who would need to see the archives without having to put a link to your site.
You have a lot of possibilities there.

  • Blog Summary and Archive Page

Does anyone know if the blog can be configured to display...
    1) Only a summary of each post or
    2) Listing only the title of each post like an archive or
    3) Show only the most recent posts and allowing an "Older Posts" link to the full archive
If the blog can only show the full content of every single post, then it will definitely get messier over time as more and more blog posts are added, and load times might get longer and longer too.
    Can anyone clarify on this?

By default, only the 20 most recent blog posts will be displayed on someone's blog - You can change one of the values in /etc/wikid/wikid.conf to change this. Probably the howManyEntriesToShow key - either that or listingsPerFeed / listingsPerPage.
If you wanted to only display the title in the blog listing, the easiest way to accomplish that would probably be to create a theme with a css selector or javascript that strips the entry_content from the page.

  • Archive old Google Calendar events from iCal 4?

I have 8 Google calendars filled with events going back years. It's too big and I want to thin it out by archiving all events older than two years. I'll do it manually, but I can't find a way that works. I haven't found any way within Google to do it and to do it manually from within Google, you have to select each event separately. Too much work.
To do it for a Mobile Me calendar, I can just:
    - Create a corresponding archive calendar (ie, Archive Personal for my Personal calendar) that is On My Mac
    - Select only one calendar to view (Personal)
    - List all events by typing a period in the search bar
    - Select all events in the list that I want to move
    - Right click or control click one of those selected events in the calendar (not the list) and choose the calendar Archive Personal to move it to
For the Mobile Me calendar, the events are moved to the Archive Personal calendar and removed from the Mobile Me calendar. Perfect.
When I try that with a Google calendar, it all seems to work in iCal, but the event remains on the Google calendar. No good.
    I tried another way...
    - I exported one of the calendars from Google into an Archive calendar On My Mac
    - I was planning to delete everything after a certain date on the Archive calendar and delete everything before a certain date on the Google calendar, but when you search for all of the events in the Archive calendar On My Mac, it shows duplicates of every event. Somehow it's showing the Google calendar events as well as the archive calendar events even though the archive is the only calendar selected. The search should only result in events from that calendar!
Also, searching for a list of all events in a calendar in iCal 4.04 doesn't work too well. Once you move events, the update of the list is spotty. To really see what is left in the calendar, you need to quit iCal and restart it and do the search over again. Hopefully that's fixed in the Lion version!
If anyone can think of a solution to accomplish this — any better way to archive off old events from a Google calendar, I would appreciate it!

I just started using MobileMe yesterday and have a similar issue. The only past events in my iPhone are recurring events like birthdays. None of my old one-time events synced to the iPhone. Fortunately, they're all still in iCal (local and online). Does anyone have tips on how to get all events, past, present, and future on the iPhone?

  • Deleting Archive page of iWeb blog

Can the Archive page from a blog be deleted?
I have searched and found others are having the same publish error that I am and the only common thread is that the archive page is creating the publish error on there blog and mine:
"Can't Create the File Shapeimage1_Link0.png. The disk may be damaged, full or you may not have sufficient access privileges"
This error happens on the archive page, which I cannot conrtol anyhting on.
It seems to happen once there are 350+ entries on my blog and on others. Is iWeb known to have such a limit to entires? I don't remember reading that when I bought or started using iWeb.
I have followed this advice posted here before:
    UNKNOWN PUBLISHING ERROR OCCURS
CAN’T CREATE THE FILE “SHAPEIMAGE1_LINK0.PNG.” THE DISK MAY BE DAMAGED, FULL, OR YOU MAY NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT ACCESS PRIVILEGES
"Many times these error messages will point to a specific page or even a specific file. If not, you may also be able to determine the source of the problem by noticing which page caused publishing to stop, while publishing was in progress. Fixing the problem may be as simple as deleting the specified file or page from the site. Make a copy of your Domain file, place it into an empty folder, and place this folder into your Documents folder. Now, open iWeb and delete the particular page the error message points to and try to publish again; first to a folder, and if that is successful, then to .Mac. If this works, go back to the copied Domain file, open the site from this Domain by double-clicking on the Domain file, and see if you can identify the specific file on the page that is giving problems. Make sure that no illegal characters, such as forward slashes or colons, are used in file names."
However, since my error happens on the archive page, that I cannot control, this isn't even a hope at a solution.
Either way, I can easily live without the archive as the blog can be searched and the archive takes forever to load and wastes space.
Going back and deleting old posts is not an option as I feel it defeats the purpose of having a blog at all.
I hate to stop blogging and using iWeb, but until it is solved, I cannot create new posts.
Can the archive be deleted or otherwise removed from my blog?

    jabberwock (Alice)
Ack! Now I'm really confused.... it's funny actually.... jabberwock is kind of a genderless name, right? It's fine with me, I just as soon imagined a male jabberwock. Then Lorna kept referring to a Phyllis in her emails and I asked "Who?" and then she told me, "You know....Phyllis as in Jabberwock!". But I guess it's actually Alice and not Phyllis, unless there are two of you! Haha. I actually did ask myself "Phyllis as in abenningfield? Where's the "A" come from?" It all makes sense now.
Yesterday I got posts and it was covered by the
image....well I learned that the image has to stay
    within the text square.
I think the biggest problem with the Apple comments system is that you do have to "think" about where the comments will show up (if you get any!). I really do like to think of my blog entries as individual web pages. I tend to put photos all over and different text boxes everywhere and generally move things all around. I guess the Apple comments would really mess things for me because it would probably want to put the comments behind a lot of my photos and content just like you experienced.
icomment/haloscan is a lot better because you can specify exactly where to put the "Add comments" link...and of course the comments open in a popup window.

  • IWeb Blog how to control how many articles go into archive?

I'm probably just missing something, but after I add about five articles to my blog page, the older ones go into the archive. Is there a way to not do that, or at least have some control over how many go there?
Also, is there some way to make a change to an entry without redating (and therefore resequencing) that entry?
    Thanks
    Joe

    Hi,
    1) in iWeb go to your Blog then click on Inspector=>RSS=>Number of excerpts to show
There you can put in a number for how many entries you want to show up on the blog page on the web (you will see it's now set on 5 as you said that 5 excerpts appear in the blog)
The ones who don't show up on the blog page are still published, you can find them by going to the archive of the blog.
    2) Just re-date (backdate) to original publishing date by double clicking on the date in the entries list
    Enjoy your iLife,
    Cédric

  • Missing text in posts in Archive on Blog page

I need help! When I go back through my archive on my blog page for the previous 10 months through iWeb, my entries start to appear as first, missing the text, and further back, missing text and pics! I am using it as a digital diary of my baby's development so am freaking out a bit. Any idea's on what is going wrong?? Thank you!

Welcome to the discussions. It's a common problem:
_blog archives missing text but photos still show_
    _Blank Blog Archive Page?_
...and you may find more threads by searching for "archive" in the +Search Forum+ bar on this forum's main page.

Basically iWeb's blog is buggy and, in the end, it comes down to this:
_To blog or not to blog_

  • Link to blog archive has disappeared

Hi, I was hoping someone could help me out. The link to the archive of my blog entries has disappeared from my main blog page with my 5 latest postings.
I tried creating a link to "archive.html" - but that doesn't seem to have worked. The archived entries are in iWeb. I just need to find a way to recreate the link
    Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the help - that cleared the issue right up.
    Cheers!
