Archive File error

Hi,
I am archiving Cockpit documents using the Archive object /COCKPIT/S,
I find the entries in SARA tables and ADMI tables too. but when I try to view the document I get the error ''ARCHIVE FILE DOES NOT EXISTS'.
Please let me know what will be the reason and let me how to find the archived files are getting stored.

Hey,,
Once u archive the data using std ADK from SARA, the archived data will be stored onto the logical file system with some name ( like ARCHIVE_GLOBAL_PATH) also its physical location file can be found at your user. ( like c:\usr\sap\sid\sys\global\<file_name>).

I believe I had some kind of virus attack. I got everything cleaned up. (I HOPE) In the process of cleaning the virus, I unintalled Firefox because it wouldn't open. Kept getting the error message that Firefox was already open and I had to close out of the sessions or restart the computer. After restarting the computer several times and not being able to find any open sessions in task manager, I uninstalled. When trying to reinstall, I get the error message "can not find archive file." I've tried downloading Firefox from cnet as well as the Mozilla site to no avail. Please help. I'm getting tired of using Chrome already!

Error Archiving File in File Sender Adapter using AF_Modules/PayloadZipBean

Hi everybody.
I have to pick a zip file up from ftp server, unzip an convert the file in xml.
Im using this modules in file sender adapter:
AF_Modules/PayloadZipBean --> To unzip de file
AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean --> file to xml
The problem is when I try to archive de file. Im getting this error and I dont know why (This path exists /out/ProcesadosSinError/)
Could not archive file 'test.zip' as '/out/ProcesadosSinError/20100518-091029-155_test.zip' after processing: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /out/ProcesadosSinError/20100518-091029-155_test.zip (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)
Could it be that is not possible to archive with AF_Modules/PayloadZipBean?

ERROR:Could not read archive file - during Processing Base System Part 2

Hi there,
What I have:
* I have problem with installation of the Mac OS X Panther v10.3 on iMac.
* I have 3 original CDs (black with silver X).
What I did:
* I made new 1 partition and formated disk as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) over the Disk Utility in the first CD as normal without additional options (if I tried to format disk with zero all data and 8 way random write format after 3 days computer freeze)
* I verified disk over this utility - that was ok - HFS volume verifed.
* Then I restarted the computer and ran installation from this first CD
What happened:
* installation did not finish, because there were some problems during installation process.
* i tried to customize installation just for essential work (without other languages support, printers etc), but it was still the same problem

It seems like a problem with reading some data from the CD, but during the installation checking of disk was ok.. maybe it can be problem with the cd-rom..? Or problem with data on cd-rom - I mean bad archive file..? But it is original CD.. What do you think??

File adapter - archiving files after successful processing & errors

Hi All
In sender file adapter, I understand that we can archive files after processing them.
After successful processing, we can archive the file, and if there are any errors, we can archive the file in a different folder (all files resulting in errors during processing are archived in a seperate folder).
Now, see this scenario.
My file is successfully picked up, processed and posted to receiving sap system thru proxy.
But, if there is any application specific error (ex: duplicate id), because of which this data cannot be processed in the receiving system, how can i move the file which is archived in successful messages folder to the folder where we archive error messages?
Is it possible?
This is required because, when there are these kind of errors with incorrect data, we want the corresponding file to be archived in the folder where erred files are archived.
Please let me know how we can achieve this.

Directory for archiving files with errors

HI ,
My Scenario is file to RFC Asynch.
when ever the PI picks file from the source directory that file need to delete from the path and need to be archived to some other patch.
And if the file has wrong data it need to archive to error archive folder.
For this I used Archive processing in filesender adapter and I also used directory for archiving files with errors(for wrong data files).
Now the files are arching successfully in the given archive folder for successful messages. But the error files (wrong data which are throwing mapping error in MONI) are also archiving in the same archive folder.
But these error files need to archive in error archive folder.
How can I achieve this?

you can use raja's logic ..........in addition in second receiver do a simple mapping UDF to delete the file from the SUCCESS folder. otherwise your file will be archived in both the folder success and errror

Archiving files with errors

Hi all
I have been working on a File(FCC) to File(FCC) Scenario. I am working on PI7.0 with SP12. I would like to archive all the files with errors, for which the sender file adapter shows an option Archive Faulty source files. But I am not able to archive any of the error files. Help.sap.com mentions that this functionality works when a permanent error occurs.
I have tried out with all possible combinations and I am still unable to archive the error file.
Please help!!!

Hi,
There are two conditions that you should keep in mind while using the Archive files with errors option
1. The Processing Mode has to be Archive not Delete in case you are using the Add Time Stamp for the archived files with errors(the second check option not the first one)
2. In case the processing mode is Delete you can not use the second ADD Time Stamp option but this also can archive files with errors

Archiving Processedor Errored Files on FTP folder-Receiver File Adapter

Hello,
A quick question, we have a scenario where we are picking a file from FTP folder and we need to archive it on the
1) Processed file on the same FTP server different folder
2) errored file on different FTP folder.
How could we achieve this using the FILE Adapter?
As what i could see the file adapter does not gives you the option to select the FTP site for this...
Help is appreciated.

To archive source files where a permanent error occurred during processing, select Archive Faulty Source Files.
A permanent error occurs either during the conversion of the file content, or in a module in the module processor.

API5317: Error occured while writing to archive file

We have been making daily archives for weeks and then one morning started getting this error:
API5317: Error occured while writing to archive file f:\OWB\Archives\Daily\backups\Friday\projects\erm_phase1\project.mdl
We have checked space on the disc, and running the archive from different PCs. Is possible that there is a limit on the archive file? The archive file is in the order of 21M. I am worried about the upgrade to the new version if we cannot make archives. Any suggestions?

"Archive file does not exist" error message in KSB1

I'm fairly new to SAP, and I am receiving this error in KSB1: Archive file 000786-002 CO_ITEM does not exist.
When my co-worker runs the report using the same cost center, data is returned. We are running this for the current accounting period. Is there some kind of setting or other access I need in order to view this? Any help is much appreciated.

Well I guess I solved my own problem.
I used the download direct site and signed into the download assistant after it installed and this seemed to let me initiate the down load.
I also went to a direct Eth. connection and turned off the cookie blocks and McAfee.
It took about 30 minutes to down load the program but the extraction and installation went without a problem this time.
So I don't know what the exact fix was but it worked and I am up and running.
The program seemed to have a problem loading files and looked like it quit responding. I had the other PC running and it is homegrouped with this one and also has Elem 11. I turned off the other PC and this one seemed to work better loading files with the other one off. I wonder if problems can arise if you have two PCs home grouped, both on with a number of photo files in each.

Cs6 pro prem install from dload exe and 7z on usb both in same folder. when run exe it gives error archive file needed

new install cs6 production premium .downloaded exe to a usb thet the vendor provided with the 7z file cos i dont have lots of data. .With both in the same folder on the usb running exe rsults in error message asking for an archive file. There are only 2 files in the download . what does it want?

Archive File Storage Error

We have a requirement to move archive files that were previously stored on the transfer directory /usr/sap/<SID>/archive to an Opentext store. We have setup the connection to Opentext for the A2 repository in OAC0. The connection test returns ok. We get an error "HTTP error: 400 Bad Request 5010: wrong usage: - Wrong Usage!" if we click on CSAdmin but this error does not seem to be an issue as we have the same error on other systems where this functionality is working. We can see the repository with a green light in the Overview tab.
I go to SARA and choose to store file for previously completed archive job. The Archive File is accessible (Green Light):

Logical Path ARCHIVE_GLOBAL_PATH_WITH_ARCHIVE_LINK
Physical File Name /usr/sap/TST/archive/RFI09020
However, the store job errors with the following information in the job log:

File is present on the file system, owner is <SID>adm and have tried with 777 permissions. File can be seen when going through AL11 too.
The customizing settings for FI_DOCUMNT are setup to use logical file name ARCHIVE_DATA_FILE_WITH_ARCHIVE_LINK with Physical File R<PARAM_1><MONTH><DAY><PARAM_2> and Logical Path ARCHIVE_GLOBAL_PATH_WITH_ARCHIVE_LINK. Logical file path ARCHIVE_GLOBAL_PATH_WITH_ARCHIVE_LINK is set with Physical Path /usr/sap/TST/archive/<FILENAME> for UNIX.
Any ideas? I can see numerous other similar topics raised but they have always been solved by file permissions which I can see no problems with.

A vendor was flagged for deletion by mistake. Now I need to remove this flag, but I cannot. I have the following error:
"Undeleted archive files exist for FI_ACCPAYB"
Can you help me?
I should probably delete the archive, but I do not know where I can find it.

Are you sure which you told about Master Data Management?
As usually you cannot delete file if that file opening by some another application.
