Archive-partially successful

I thought this was resolved long ago but I still see in RME 4.3.1,  LMS3.2 on Solaris 10. I see partial failure for several switches with the following error.
We do allow telnet to the devices but ssh is allowed. NEtconfig works using ssh without any problem. My protocol order is SSH and then TFTP.

In order for RME to be able to fetch vlan.dat, it must be able to telnet/SSH to the device, then perform a "copy flash:vlan.dat tftp:", and TFTP the file to the RME server.  It looks like the SSH connection is successful, but the TFTP is failing.  Try to manually perform these steps, and confirm you can TFTP the vlan.dat file to the RME server.

  • LMS 3.2 Archiving Partially successful

    Hi,
    We have installed LMS 3.2,But for some of the switches archiving is partially successfull.Switches are 6500 in transparent mode.We use ssh for archive management.dcmaservice Log says...
    [ Thu Jan 21  14:51:05 AST 2010 ],ERROR,[Thread-1540],com.cisco.nm.xms.xdi.transport.cmdsvc.LogAdapter,error,19,Unknown authentication method: keyboard-interactive.In the RME I can see the log as Command Failed.

    For RME to be able to fetch the VLAN config, it must be able to copy the vlan.dat file from flash back to itself using TFTP.  RME will issue a command similar to:
    copy flash:vlan.dat tftp:
    Make sure the device can properly copy the vlan.dat back to the RME server using TFTP.

    I am getting below logs,please advice, how to resolve the issue.
    Thanks.
    I am using LMS 3.2.1

    Yes you are right that we have restore from backup and since then this problem occurs. We have uninstall the CiscoWorks from c: drive and install it on e:drive, due to high disk utilization issue on c: drive.
    I have checked the
    RME > Administration > Config Management > Archive Management > Archive settings and setting is already e: /CIS~1/files/rme/dcma,
    Also from dbreade, by executing the sql "select * from Config_Device_Archive" in rmeng, I can see that some file location is C:drive and orther files location is E: drive, so I have run the below sql to correct it, although it executed correctly, by I can see that Config_Device_Archive table that still some devices location is c:, others is e: drive.
    update Config_Device_Archive set
    location=replace(location,'C:\\PROGRA~1\\CSCOpx','E:\\CAPCIS~1')
    Please advice, that how to resolve this issue.

    Im not sure what this means? It gets partial-success, but the error message worries me. Im not able to find anything in the logs or by searching for the error code. Anyone have any idea where to look? The credential is correct, i tripple checked :)

    I tried using the "tftp-server flash:" command, but didnt help. Im also seeing this problem with a couple of Cisco 3750x switches.

    Hello James,
    What error appears in the application.log file for Workspaces when the creation fails? You can find this log at a path like this:
    $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_OCSClient/application-deployments/workspaces/OC4J_Workspaces_default_island_1
    Has creation of a library during new workspace creation worked in the past?
    Can the same user access the Content Services application successfully?

  • LMS RME Config Mgmt Partially Successful

    Hi,
    From the various posts around here, I read that, in Config Mgmt, LMS connects through Telnet or SSH to devices, then uses TFTP to send configs.
    In my network, I run SSH on my devices. Device Credentials Verification Job is successful for sw1 and sw2, which by the way are Catalyst 4948. However, in Config Mgmt, they are displayed as Partially Successful.
    I wanted to test manually by connecting to the device through SSH then issuing TFTP copy. I found that "vlan.dat" is not under Flash; it's under  Cat4000_flash.
    So how do I tell LMS to fetch under Cat4000_flash instead of Flash, for this model of switches?
    thanks

    Have a look at this thread:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2087520
    Don't worry about the cat4000_flash.  RME knows to use that file system.  So make sure that manual TFTP copy works.

  • Disk Permission Repair failure after partially successful update

    The 10.5.2 update of my PowerBook G4 stalled at 'Writing Package Receipt'. After a hard reboot, I was able to access the desktop. The About This Mac showed 10.5.2 but there were no appropriate confirmation files in Receipts/boms or in the Console Log.
    Attempting to complete the update using the Combo Package was not successful.
    Tried to repair disk permissions from Disk Utility: never completed. So tried to repair permission using Disk Utility in the Leopard Installation DVD. This showed and warned that many of the permissions were changed and none of the permissions were corrected.
    I have no clue what to do at this point other than an archive and install. Any suggestions from the wise folk who frequent this discussion board?

    I finally resorted to an 'Archive and Install' option from the Leopard Installation DVD followed by Software Update. It installed 7 items including 10.5.2 Combo update. This was followed by the Graphics Update. I checked Installed Updates, Console and Library/Receipts/boms. All show that 10.5.2 was installed. I had a few anxious moments while the computer kept rebooting during the update process, but I kept my fingers away from the keyboard or power button! The update process did not take that long either.
    Everything looks good to go-I will keep you folks informed if OS behavior is unusual.
    Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

  • Automator workflow to TAR multiple files in a single directory into multiple TAR archives, in succession?

    Good afternoon,
    I have set up an automator service that TAR's a folder into an archive for me and it works quite nicely. Idealy however, I would like to be able to highlight several folders, right click and have automator tar each folder into it's own TAR archive, but do it one by one.
    Example:
    FOLDER 01
    FOLDER 02
    FOLDER 03
    Highlight all - Right Click - "TAR Folder" - Automator takes over at this point and TARs each one into:
    FOLDER 01.tar (Once complete moves onto:)
    FOLDER 02.tar (Once complete moves onto:)
    FOLDER 03.tar (Finished)
    I'm not 100% sure so I guess it would be a good time to verify, is there a problem with having the system try to TAR multiple folders at one time? If it is not a problem then I guess this discussion itself is pointless and I can simple right click on each folder and select "TAR Folder" and just wait until they're all finished. I would think that it would be ideal for the system to do each one individually and not try to do them all at one time.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you!!

    I don't think I have the following totally fleshed out but you probably can extrapolate on it.   This is a service which you can right click a set of folders  and it will tar the files within those selected folders with then file names "name xxx.tar", where name is the tar'ed file/folder and xxx is a count within the folder.
    I think that is what you originally specified so I am a bit confused by your script with the bit about Archive.tar.
    Anyway here the basic idea:
    I ran the script directly with a folder argument just to see it indeed tar's up all the stuff inside, one tar per item.

  • Implementation of TableSorter class partially successful

    Greetings, esteemed experts.
    I have successfully applied the TableSorter class to my table, and sorting occurs correctly in runtime. The sort is performed in ascending order, which matches the clients' requirement. However, the tooltip text for the sort icon (up/down arrows) remains as 'not sorted', and clicking the icon multiple times does not result in the sort toggling between ascending and descending directions.
    All the articles and posts I have read regarding the TableSorter class seem to indicate that this is not consistent with its design.
    Any wisdom to share?

    Sorting was not being invoked properly because the field that is being sorted is a time field. The string comparison collator class could not sort the values, so the TableSorter.class Comparator method was modified to parse out hour and minute values. Fortunately, for our application, no other columns in the table have the 'sortable' requirement, so we could customize the class file for the project without impacting any other functionality.

  • Adobe Flash Player Download - Partial success.

    Followed instructions on Adobe Site for Mac_ Successful up to clicking "open" for Installer_ Next input window gave unrecognized name_ Asked me to input 'password' for name given_ Did not accept any of my passwords enterred...

    Where exactly did you go to try & get Adobe Flash player for Mac... here?
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
    Could be the player download was corrupt. Are you using the Mac in an
    Admin account, or a second user account with given Admin privileges?
    You also may have to see about uninstalling the older Flash player plugin
    software before the new one will install correctly, using their uninstaller.
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    Be sure your computer is running in the main Admin account where few
    if any additional actions are necessary. Also note there may be safeguard
    in effect when using Flash player (sandboxing) in newer Mac OS X.
    Since my ancient hardware runs OS X at many miles behind recent versions...
    Hopefully this helps, even though you may've already done more.

  • LDAP Issues with 4.1 upgrade - partial success

    All,
    I’ve spent the last few hours going through the forum and reading the documentation on LDAP authentication issues after upgrading to 4.1.
    I have completed every suggestion that has been posted and still no success.
    If I run the following from SQL Workshop I get a successful authentication
    declare
       l_session dbms_ldap.session;
       l_dummy   pls_integer;
    begin
       dbms_ldap.use_exception := TRUE;
       l_session := dbms_ldap.init('host.domain.com', 389 );
       l_dummy   := dbms_ldap.simple_bind_s(l_session, 'domain\user', 'password');
       dbms_output.put_line('authenticated');
       l_dummy   := dbms_ldap.unbind_s(l_session);
    exception when others then
       l_dummy := dbms_ldap.unbind_s(l_session);
       raise;
    end;However if I run the APEX_LDAP.AUTHENTICATE using the same inputs it will not authenticate
    begin
    IF APEX_LDAP.AUTHENTICATE(
      p_username =>'domain\user',
      p_password => 'password',
      p_search_base => 'dc=domain,dc=com',
      p_host => 'host.domain.com',
      p_port => 389)
    THEN htp.p('authenticated');
    ELSE htp.p('not authenticated');
    END IF;
    End;Is a successful authentication using APEX_LDAP.AUTHENTICATE a prerequisite for the application to authenticate correctly, this is the only option I know to test the configuration?
    I have run the scripts to update the ACLs for user APEX_040100 and workspace schema user.
    Thanks in advance,

    If the simple_bind_s works that is sufficient proof that the network acl is okay, and so are your credentials. I'd not bother too much with apex_ldap since that integrates with OID, and if you don't have that it becomes pretty much worthless.
    So i assume that your authentication scheme is the pre-built LDAP one. Could you share some more (obscured i understand) details about how you have set up the details? Especially your "Distinguished Name (DN) String", "Use Exact Distinguished Name (DN)" (Yes/No), "LDAP Username Edit Function". I'm also assuming that you want users to log in with their login-username (samaccountname)?

    Hello
    I know it is a common pb with LMS.
    I looked to previous discussion about this pb and I did not find the solution.
    I tried to do the command in cli : copy flash:vlan.dat tftp://ip-server/vlan.dat.

    Why doesn't it work with LMS ?

    Not sure what I was thinking last night.....  Time to take a break of a few days for christmas....
    I know for TFTP LMS uses the config mib to set the TFTP server IP address, so it needs write acccess to do that but that is not relevant for the vlan.dat since we can't get it via TFTP.
    Looking at the message it appears to try:
    first   SSH          command failed
    next  TFTP        not supported
    then  TELNET   failed to connect
    The "command failed" is the problem here but I have no idea what could be wrong.
    You best set the log levels to debug  under: Admin > System > Debug Settings > Config and Image Management Debugging settings, for the ArchiveMgmt services.
    Then in the job directory the logs and the dcmaservice.log and ConfigMgmtServer.log should help to get to the bottom of this.
    You may want to run logrot_trunc.exe on the later 2 files before you run the job
    Cheers,
    Michel

  • Archiving job successful but no messages archived

    Hi guys,
    what's wrong? When I check processing statistics, nothing has changed.
    Thank you,
    Olian
    BTW:  how to delete these archived messages? I don't want to delete what hasn't been archived, so I just want to be sure. Thanks.
    Edited by: Olian Saludew on Aug 22, 2008 2:16 PM

    Hi
    Is there a way how to archive messages sent before the job has been scheduled?
    1) --> You have to update all SXMSPMAST records. Field: ITFACTION = ARCH
    Write ABAP-Report!
    Please do this just for one record! Then run the archive job an see if the message was archived.
    (First do in your test-system!)
    If this works, you can do this with all records!
    What do you advise me, how should I schedule delete job so I will not delete any unarchived messages?
    2) --> If you sucessfull archived all messages, you can run your deletion job
    (note: sync. messages can not be archived)
    is it possible to run archive job every week & delete only once a month? Won't be archived messages archoved twice?
    3) --> No, because after you run the archive job, the messages get ITFACTION = DEL
    Please test first!

  • Driver re-import reports partial success, but package is empty

    Hi... I found this article on the 2007 forum but I'm not sure it applies to me with 2012. (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/c9fcff89-421b-4ec3-88eb-78fb52854356/can-not-reimport-drivers-or-add-to-driver-package)
    A previous employee had imported drivers and I went through and tried to clean up, first drivers i brought in worked fine. Subsequent drivers have not gone very well. I checked all the individual drivers source directory as the folder structure had all changed
    but that doesn't change anything. I run through a driver import and at the end (with the distribute content checked) but it doesn't distribute the content and if you check the package folder its empty. It goes through all the motions but in the end I do get
    this error message:
