Archived directory getting filled regularly : causing issues to Prod system

Hi Team,
In my EP system , the archive directory is getting occupied regularly and hence causing space crunch.
As of now , we are manually deleting those archived logs on a weekly basis.
I checked the log configuratiuon and found that the severity is Error
So , I need your valuable inputs to resolve this issue

I might be wrong (correct me)

When exporting videos from fcpx, videos get filled with interlacing issues. using Canon HF G10, no issues while in FCPX, except when exported.

I don't understand why this is happening? It doesn't happen all the time, only with some videos. Haven't changed my settings or anything. Exporting in H.264.

This is the issue. Obviously this picture makes it look a little more dramatic but that's what it looks like when moving frame by frame. I was told by someone that this is called interlacing, but they may be wrong and I may be in the complete wrong discussion. But if they're correct, then no, I do not want it to be interlaced. These are my exporting properties:

NImDNSResponder and NILXIDiscovery cause issues with VPN & system

The two windows processes nimDNSResponder.exe and niLxiDiscovery.exe are installed after installing LabView 8.6. They run automatically in the background, but have negative effects on system performance. DNSResponder corrupts the routing table, thus rendering Juniper VPN inoperative. If that process is stopped niLxiDiscovery begins to consume computing resources (>80% of processor time). If both processes are stopped, the PC & VPN seem to run normally. I uninstalled and reinstalled LV 8.6, and have the same results - apparently it wasn't a corruption at install. Can you direct me to the parts of LV that I must un-install to eliminate the issues associated with these processes?

Work directory getting full

hi,
In my /usr/sap/SMN/DVEBMGS02/work directory getting full regularly,in my work directory its writing .dat files with large space.iam moving these files to another location daily,any permenant solution for this.

If you have enviornment ABAP + JAVA then this will be created with automatically
at the following locaiton.
/usr/sap/SID/INSTANCE/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/archive/.%2Flog%...........
But this happand usually if you have XI enviornment. So create the os level script to find the file from above location and delete them automatically

Weird filename are getting created in archive directory.

Weird filename are getting created in archive directory.
I have one ftp adapter,after the file getting processed the file's are getting moved to archive directory.
But with some different file name/ filename are randomly generated. But the content of the file remains the same.
Pls suggest.

This is standard functionality, it uses the original filename with a suffix of the datetime.

SAP_EBAN_EBKN doesn't get filled

We are using Archiving Infostructure in our data archiving project.
When I archive MM_EBAN,the infostructure SAP_EBAN_EBKN doesnt get popluated with data for archived documents.
The DRM infostructure SAP_DRB_MM_EBAN gets filled and I can see the archived data in it.
I verified the table beneath the object SAP_EBAN_EBKN ,it is ZARIXMM3.Its empty.
The SARI ->STATUS->STATUS PER ARCHIVE
Shows green for for SAP_EBAN_EBKN shows green status.
When I campared the issue in TST and PRD system,I see this issue in PRD only.
In TST the SAP_EBAN_EBKN shows data and ZARIXMM3 table is not empty.
Not sure why this is happening..

Comes up with no check mark for INDEX for SAP_EBAN_EBKN in Production,whereas its coming Checked in TST system.
What is the Infostructure SAP_EBAN_EBKN used for...if we have SAP_DRB_MM_EBAN ..
Has someone worked with above structure in ECC.

first of all many thanks for all your replies, I'll try to give you some more details about the scenario:
1) the issue is related to Abap code changes in the RFC called bapis: the code changes I'm asking about don't modify the import/export structure but (for example) change the logic of the data extraction (thus the final result could be different in terms of extracted number of records, not in terms of data structure)
2) "SUP sessions not closing automatically": I mean on Sap (tcode SMGW) I see several RFC connections initiated by SUP, status "connected", that stay that way for hours, sometimes more than one day (I took the following picture this morning from the Dev server, you'll see all connections are from yesterday). I understand there are Sap's profile parameters to manage gw connections, but none of the current values justify (from my point of view) such a long "lifetime"

How to monitor available disk space in archive directory

I need to monitor the available disk space of the archive directory during a long running PL/SQL program which does a lot of inserts and updates. This program is running in a background session and should regularly check for the available space. If there is less then a customizable number of MBs free the program must terminate itself. How can I access this information from the file system? (I'm using 8.1.6 and the application will run on both AIX and NT)

The directory itself is not taking space (It actually does but in most cases you can neglect its size). It is files that it has that take space. Also, the more files you create the more space gets allocates from the media that holds them. And the last, the media (Hard Drive, Floppy, or other) has free space, not directory. That is how all OS's that I know about work.

MovieClip Filter Causing issues with EventListeners (mouseEvent.ROLL_OVER)

Hello,
I have been working on a flash photo gallery for the web. It loads thumbnails from an xml file into a loader which is then made the child of a movieclip.
The thumbnails are animated and triggered with mouse events of ROLL_OVER and ROLL_OFF. I have this working, or appearing to, when the movieclip containing the loaded thumbnail has no filters applied to it.
I want add a drop shadow on the ROLL_OVER event and remove the drop shadow on the ROLL_OFF event. I also have this working, however my problem arises when I mouse over the very edge of the movieclip. This cauese the ROLL_OVER and ROLL_OFF function to fire in rapid succession, creating a flashing dropshadow. This looks aweful and I really have no idea what would be causing this issue.

I also found it difficult to believe that the filter was causing issues with the roll over/out events. I will expand on the example code you provided so you get an idea of what I am trying to accomplish and where my issues arise.
EDIT: I should add that the issue is only present when I tween AND add a filter. If I only add a filter or if I only tween I have no issues but the combination or adding a filter and tweening causes the OVER/OUT events to fire rapidly.

Archive directory on overload

Hi,
I've configured a Sender File Adapter.
It archives messages and adds a timestamp.
Files are succesfully put on the integration engine and archived.
However the files are not moved from the input directory, but are only copied
So the files stay in the input directory. They are not processed again into the integration engine, BUT the archiving doesnt stop. It just keeps archiving the same file again and again.
Because of the timestamp this means that we have a new file each time.
This causes an overload on the archive share (file of 2 kb produced 16 gigabyte on archive)
Is this a setting of the adapter that i have to change or does it mean that the pi-user who does the moving and archiving does not have sufficient rights on the directory?

In usual case if you give processing mode as Archive the files will be moved from source to Archive directory.
And also are you getting any error in the Channel?
But in your case if this is not happening then please check the User ID which you are using in the file channel if it has the access to
delete the file once its processed.to check this login with that ID to the FTP and check if you are able to delete.
If nothing works , i think you can have a batch job to clear the source folder.

Archive directory user rights?

Hi all: I recently migrated our GW2014 SP1 server over to new hardware. The migration went smooth and our domain and postoffice seem happy. My users are reporting an 8201 error when starting up their client and I have traced it to a user rights issue with our archive folder on the server. I have given full rights to everyone as a temp measure, but I want to get the proper rights set up. BTW, the archive directory is on an NSS volume.
So, what are the proper user rights to the archive directory? Thanks much, Chris.

They need Read, Write, File Scan, Create, Erase, Modify, Delete - all except Access Control and Supervisor.

DB12 - Archiving directory status unknown

Hi,
In DB12 we are getting 'Archiving directory status - unknown'.
OS06 refresh data available as normal. We stopped and restarted SAPOSCOL from OS06 and from OSlevel with saposcol -l and saposcol -k command, but still same issue.
Ours is solaris cluster, pls suggest

Database Udump & Cdump are getting filled and i am getting an error.

Your bdump and cdump directories are likely filling up as a result of the trace files generated by the ORA-07445 errors. So, you need to find the cause of the 7445 errors to resolve that, then it will stop generating trace files and filling your directories.
In the meantime, you can almost certainly delete some of the older files in both directories to make some space, but I would keep some of the newer ones since they may be valueable in diagnosing the cause of the 7445 errors.

How archive infostructures are filled when the delete program runs(sd_cond)

I could not find a suitable forum for this, hence posting it here. I need to know how the ZARIX tables get filled in SAP Archiving. As far as I know, they are filled automaticlaly when the delete job runs, but I could not find any code in SD_COND_ARCH_DELETE program.
My issue is that my delete program did not fill one of the infostructures which was active and this infostructure corresponds to the zarix table. On the other hand, this infostructure got filled manually(verified in zarix also).
Wondering how this could have happened. Can this be because multiple delete jobs are running creating various sessions. This is mainly with reference to the SD_COND archive object.

There is a separate program to fill infostructures as when you fill them manually (Transaction SARJ, Environment -> Fill Structure) a new job is triggered. Have a look at the job that ran when you filled your infostructure manually and analyse the program that ran.
There should not be any problem in filling the infostructures due to several archiving sessions running at the same time. If you face the same issue again, see if any of the archiving jobs (write, store, delete) failed for any reason. If all the jobs finished successfully but an infostructure didn't get filled then have a look for any OSS note related to this issue. If you can't find anything, raise an SAP message as the infostructures have to get filled automatically as otherwise there will be no access to the archived data.
