Archived downloads not available anymore?
I have tried downloading JRE 1.3.1_03 from this page
http://java.sun.com/products/archive/index.html
... but i only get a page not found.
I first experienced the problem when my autmatic Java Plugin-install link for Windows failed:

It seems it's a connection to those problems.
Does anybody else out there have the same problem?
If so - hope SUN will fix this mess soon.

I had the same problem on March 3rd.
I tried to download JRE1.4.2_01 on the "Downloads Archive" page (http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.2_01/index.html) but I couldn't.
I clicked "DOWNLOAD" and the error message "Bad Request" was returned.
I tried the same thing the next day and I could download the file correctly this time.
Was this due to server maintenance or something? If so, is the notice posted somewhere?
For some reasons, it's very important for me to know when it is unable to download JREs
on the archive site. Please gime me any information about this problem. Thank you in advance.

Surcode Plugin not available anymore
After installing a fresh Windows 8.1/64 with my CS6 Production Premium, within Media Encoder, the surcode plugin is not available anymore as before. I can only chose Dolby 2.0 but not the surcode 5.1 plugin.
How can this be fixed?Did you purchase the plugin? The Surcode that was included with Encore was a TRIAL ONLY, would give 3 uses, then you had to buy it for like $300. So if you bought it, contact the vendor (Minnetonka Audio) to retrieve your serial/re-download or whatever needs to be done.

I am having serious issues trying to alter my old iCloud account with an old non-functioning email to my new apple id with a new email address. The message keeps coming up on all my apple products with my old email (which is not available anymore).
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -

In the previous version of FF I could type a term in the address bar and it would auto open that website, now it just performs a google search. Is that a setting I can adjust or is it not available anymore?
The change between Firefox 3.6.* and Firefox 4 is how location bar search works. In Firefox 3.6 it uses Google "Browse by name" search. With the browse by name search, it performs a Google search and if there is a clear match it will take you to the site, otherwise it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it just performs a Google search if you type something which is not recognised as a URL.
To get the Firefox 3.6 behaviour on Firefox 4 you need to change a hidden preference.

I'm trying to re-install an earlier version of a third party app I bought from App Store, version is not available anymore. The problem, 3rd party does not recognize my purchase ID, since I got it from App Store. My Mac Air Book is limited to update up to OS 10.6.8, unaware of updating the new version of Mac Cleanse I bought from App Store, this new version does not support my OS 10.6. How can the App Store provide me with an earlier version of Mc Cleanse?

For a starting place trythese:
SMC reset:
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM reset:
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Option, Command (⌘), P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on your Mac.
Immediately press and hold the Option-Command-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears. Continue holding the keys down until your Mac restarts, and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys. -
Some e-Learning on SDN not available anymore?

i just was browsing through the e-Learning offers for Service Bus-based integration. Some webinar replays sound very interesting such as "Quicksizing Exchange Infrastructure 3.0 - Webinar Replay". However when I want to launch the presentation only an empty screen appears. Other replays work without problems.
Are some webinars not available anymore or is this just a temporary problem? Do you know more as I would really be interested watching those webinar replays.Hi Florian,

You should be able to contact Verizon with the account login information, unless you can get the SIM Card back from whoever you gave it to. The SIM Card tray is on the top left edge of the device. There is a SIM Card Tray pin that is advisable to use to get the tray to release. Once it is out, you can swap it. If you don't have access to your previous iPad, then you should contact Verizon as the data plan may still be active on the previous device. This is the first iPad I have had with cellular data option included, but that is the way I understand the situation based on having to exchange my new ipad at the Apple Store. The Genuis swapped the SIM Cards and my data plan was instantly (after a restart) active on the new one.

We are migrating from incubator 11.x to 12.2.0.
I noticed that com.oracle.coherence.environment.extensible.ExtensibleEnvironment is not available anymore.
We used it to load custom cache configs filenames based on standard coherence environment properties.
Something like:
If local storage enabled
load cache-config-a.xml
else
locad cache-config-b.xml
Setting factory and getting cache was like:
ConfigurableCacheFactory fctry = new ExtensibleEnvironment(cacheConfigName, this.getClass().getClassLoader());
NamedCache namedCache = fctry.ensureCache(myCacheName, this.getClass().getClassLoader());
This allowed us to have auto-discovery of cache config filename on client side (thus minimizing JVM settings and simplifying dev environment setup). Note that we are not using GARs on either client side or Coherence server side.
What would be the simplest alternative with Coherence 12.1.2 / incubator 12.2 without the com.oracle.coherence.environment.extensible.ExtensibleEnvironment class?

My icloud account is registerd to an old e-mail adres which is not available anymore. But icloud still tells me that the account is not verified, and i have to check my e-mail, but i can't. How can i solve this?
It's a really bad idea to post your email address - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove it.
You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - click on 'Manage your Account', then in the first pane which opens you will see your Apple ID with an 'Edit' link to the right of it. Click that and you should be able to change the ID to your email address. Then you can sign in with it in System Preferences>iCloud to open an iCloud account and create a new @icloud.com address.
If you are not inextricably wedded to using your existing ID you can skip this step: just follow the method described by IMP68 here:

this will enable you to create an ID which is also the @Icloud.com address which you choose. (You can still sign into iTunes with the old ID if you want to - there is no connection between the two.) -
