Archiver Issue| Automatic replication process | Archiver thread blocking

Hi,
Recently, we are facing a strange issue with Archiver auto replication process. Sometime, archiver thread is blocking and auto replication is stalling. We observed this issue after we apply latest OUCM patches downloded from Oracle support site.
As an work around, we are doing UCM restart.
Anybody got this kind off issue? We are following this up with Oracle in parallel. Any help regarding this is highly appreciated.

I want to automate replication process for creating Xcelsius Dashboard using some Windows Programming or JAVA or something.
My Scenario is:
I have to create one Xcelsius dashboard for each coutry across the world.
For each country I have separate webi report but webi structure is same.
So Curently for replication I had to manualy do the following steps.
1) Develop one coutry Dashboard
2)For replication Point next countries webi report in Object Properties
3)Add Data Connections
4) Save the Page
5)Export Page
These Steps are repeated for all countries
Please suggest me ways to automate these steps in any way.

Issue: Archiving and Deleting completed Processes from GP Administration

Hi
IWe want to delete the completed processes from every users "Completed Processes' List. For this ,
In GP administration-> Archiving and Deleting-> Maintain Process templates->Global Settings,
We set 1 day for completed tasks.
So , after one day,will it remove all the completed processes or only the processes which were completed after setting the Archiving in Global settings?
How can I delete all the completed Processes?

Hi Smitha,
Basically, there are two ways in which you can delete processes in GP administration-> Archiving and Deleting:
1. automatically, through the Maintain Process Templates option
2. manually, through the Begin Archiving option - there you have to ignore the predefined settings and set a date before which you want to delete processes.
You should delete manually all processes up to now that were not deleted by the automatic scheduling. After that, all newly completed processes should be deleted promptly as you have specified in the global settings.
Make sure that you also perform the appropriate settings for the archive store and the home path.

MM_EBAN Archiving Issue

Dear All,
Whilst trying archive purchase requisitions via the archiving object MM_EBAN i get the following error in my production system
Job started
Step 001 started (program RM06BW47, variant 26PAC_3, user ID SHABEENB)
Archiving session 000233 is being created
Read Purchase Requisitions
Logical file name or logical path name incorrectly defined
Operating system message: No such file or directory
Archive file Z:\Archive_Data\MM_10260_103128.ARCH.ARCHIVE cannot be opened for write program
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE
There is no consistency in this error, at time the archiving happens successfully and most often than not the above problem occurs. What could be the problem, as for the process below are my step by step procedure.
1. Selecting archiving object : MM_EBAN
2. Select Preproc (Maintain a new variant, specify the purchase requisitions that need to be archived, processing options - production mode, detail log : complete --- save (leave value maintenance - YES)
3. Select Write (Maintain a new variant, specify the purchase requisitions that need to be archived, processing options - production mode untick delete with test variant, detail log : complete --- save (leave value maintenance - YES)
At this stage i identified sometimes the archive file gets created in our specified path and sometimes it doesnt and we get the error mentioned above)
4. Select Delete (Archive selection - specify the file)
As for the customizing settings
Archiving object specific customizing
we have maintained the following
1. Maintained settings for delete program (both test and production mode variant)
Delete jobs
1. Start automatically
place file in storage system (start automatically)
sequence
delete before storing
Please do help me in resolving the above issue,

Can someone help me with the following problem. After archiving a BPM proces, I get the following messages (summary):

Configuration
I've completed the following steps based on a blog item.
1. created an archive user with the corresponding roles
2. updated the destination DASdefault with the created user -> destination ping = OK
3. created an archive store BPM_ARCH based on unix root folder
4. created home path synchornization with home path /<sisid>/bpm_proc/ and archive store BPM_ARCH
5. start process archiving from manage processes view.
Process Archiving
Manage Process -> Select a process from the table -> Archive button -> Start archiving by using the default settings.

Hi Martin,
I don't have a specific answer sorry, however I do recall seeing a number of OSS notes around BPM archiving whilst searching for a different issue last year - have you checked on there for anything relevant to your currnet version and SP level? There were quite a few notes if memory serves me well!

LMS 3.21 Archive Issue

Hi,
Below is deatils of an issue I am having with my 2900 routers, which I cannot backup (taken from dcmaservice.log).
All other devices are working fine.

Hi,
I am still loking at the issue with no resolution.
I am trying Telnet, which all correctly configured and working (with Tacacs and have looked at the Taccas...ini file)
But still my archive jobs fail on LMS 3.2 for 2900 Routers
SSH - is beacuse of the client used on LMS has the "keyboard-interactive" mode setting set in its client cfg, which as it's a Java ssh client , it is not configuable and therefore needs a fix.
Telnet - seems to failing with authentication or prompt issues, with Tacacs enabled.
I have seen no resolutions to these issue.

How to avoid messages going automatically to the archive folder in Apple Mail?

Dear list members, I've been using Apple Mail (version 7.3 (1878.6)) on my MacBook Pro 13" (9,2) (MacOS 10.9.4) for years to integrate my GMail, university, and other e-mail accounts in the imap mode. Since some weeks, Mail is behaving odd: some messages are sent automatically to the archive folder. That's quite annoying, as I have to move them manually back to the inbox folder, and sometimes I mess some messages. I did not change any config in Apple Mail or my e-mails servers. Could you please help me solve this problem? Thanks.

The Archive folder in Apple Mail is linked to the All Mail "label" in Gmail. A label is treated like an IMAP folder, but it really isn't the same thing.
In case you weren't aware, Gmail saves every email you send or receive inside the All Mail label. In Gmail, you can tag a file with multiple labels. So, a file that comes into Gmail appears in two places at once, the Inbox and All Mail. When you trash a file, the Inbox label is removed, but it still remains in All Mail.
Previously, the All Mail label was hidden from you in Mail. Apple has been trying to make Mail work with Gmail, but that hasn't been going well.
I have never had a problem, but I have both Gmail and Apple Mail set up such that any email I trash actually gets deleted and not stored on the Gmail server. I also have it set to no display the All Mail folder at all. This may not be a fix as others have similar setups, but have problems with Gmail.
This is how I set it up. I followed the original article, not the Part Deux article. However, you don't need to change the IMAP path prefixes or the label names in Gmail settings. I just have the part where I configured it to delete the emails when I trash them, and hid all the Labels I didn't care to see in IMAP.
Remember, this may not resolve your problems. I don't know of another "fix."

BP archiving-issue

i have followed the whole process and made necessary settings for BP archiving.
1.set the archive flag in BP's status tab.
2.created Logical path and file name and physical file and path name.
3.created variant(Bp-archive) for CRM_BUPA_DA_SELECTIONS and activated
4.I have created a variant for the program CRM_BUPA_DA_SELECTIONS and activated it.
5.Activited the infostructure CA_BUPA_ALL.
After selecting CA_BUPA in transaction SARA, i have clicked check and delete.
after clicking on check ,i could not get the variant i have created from F4.If i enter manually and click on execute it is displaying that the variant is not created for ARCDEL_VERIFY_PARA.
where i have to select the variant and execute archiving.Pls help

Hi,
while archiving (check and delete) through SARA transaction, you need to mention the BP number (or range) in the Check/Delete selection screen and save as variant and execute. Once the Check is done then those BP(s) are ready for deletion. Then you need to run the Deletion job.

1. Terminate means you want to End that Process no matter where it is at any instance of time. Say if I have BPM Process with 10 SwimLanes it can be at any of the Lanes with any User. I am taking simple Example with Human Tasks, but you can apply for other component like Timer servces etc.
2. I hope you are aware of 2 things specially for Human Tasks: Action named "Withdraw" and a role named "Process Owner". For any human task, under Actions menu you should See a Withdraw option. You can code your application to capture this output using XOR gateway and if outcome is "WITHDRAW" directly end the process and go to End Node. If you have many places like this, there is easy way instead of running wires eveywhere. Create a simple throw even that goes to End Node. And after each human task check outcome if Withdraw, that that error, which will end the process. I hope you got the point.
b) The reason I mentioned Process Owner is, generally I do NOT give Withdraw control to each User who can work on any Task. If accidentally that User do this action, thats it. The process ENDS and you can never retriive it back. So under .TASK file, I preven Withdraw action to Asssignee and Instead give this action only to OWNER (Process Owner). Process owner is like admin who can pretty much see any tasks and I would give him all the permissions like these Withdraw, Reassing, Suspend etc etc. This gives more controlled power to your application. Anyhow, in bpm workspace, login as process owner and search for any Task aged for long time and jus Withdraw it.
You can do all the above using APIs also as far as you have Withdraw action going to the End Node.
If your requirement is something else, ignore above notes. But still you can think along the above lines, if all you want is to Kill a Running Process anytime.

Script for automatic delete of archive logs/redologs

Hi Experts,
Do you have any idea on how to create a shell script. Actually the function of it, is to automatically deletes the archive logs/redologs if reaches the limit. Or is there any parameter to change to set the automatic deletion of archive logs/redologs.

Hi,
at first, archivelogs should always be saved to tape before you delete them. If you don't want to backup them, may be for a test system, you can suppress them in ORACLE instead to delete them later.
You can run the database in "NOARCHIVE LOG MODE". If you do so, the online redologs are not archived, they are still reused and overwritten. You can not run an online Backup, when the database is in noarchive log mode. If you want to backup the database, you have to run an offline backup.
Do not use the NOARCHIVE LOG MODE for production or developemet systems.
To change the archive log mode:
shutdown the database
startup mount;
alter database noarchivelog;
alter database open;
archive log list will show the actual status

Automatic e-mails archiving in UCM

I am trying to get some information about this topics:
Is there any possibility for automatic e-mail archiving in UCM in the context of using the Desktop Integration Suite?
For example: automatic archiving of all e-mails that are older than 10 days
or other archiving criteria: - automatic archiving of all e-mails bigger than 10 MB
- automatic archiving of the e-mails by the existence of only 10% of the emailbox capacity
- automatic archiving of the e-mails if the users are out of office
Is there any possibility to access the emails that are archived into the UCM through the Outlook Web Access?
Is there any possibility to reduce the load on the Exchange Server by moving received e-mails to the UCM ?

do you mean emails that are checked in UCM. In this case it might be possible to do it.
Is there any possibility to reduce the load on the Exchange Server by moving received e-mails to the UCM ?
For this you will need to write your custom SMTP server which can directly check in e-mails in UCM from SOAP interface.

Archiving issue in material master

I am trying to delete the material master through SARA t.code
1.enter the archiving object MM_MATNR
2. then click write button enter the varient name(zarc..)click maintain
then enter the materials ...tick the radio button production mode..save the varent
3.then come back click the starttime click time immediatly
4.come back click spool parameters
5. then comeback click deletion button then enter user name
6. then click select archive files..her popupscreen displayed but there are no files.....
i have faced issue thre ..so next step how can i proceed..pls guide me any one...

ADK and SARA are part of the standard SAP Web Application Server. ADK is the Application Programming Interface used by the applications to develop archiving solutions, while Archive Administration (transaction SARA) is used mainly by data archiving administrators to manage all tasks related to data archiving, including job scheduling and management, writing, reading and deletion of data, as well as Customizing.

Archiving issue

Hi XI guru,
We have an XI system gone live for in 5-6months. and right now found sxmb_moni-> persistency layer analysis have high Current Fill Level, about 40-50. And we do have setup message deletion job, so all these left messages are unprocessed/error message.
Now we just setup archiving job according to PDF<Archive and Delete Messages in SAP XI: A Step-by-Step Guide> mentioned in another thread. And We also Canceled all error message. So ideally, archiving job should saved these messages in archive file and flag these message. finally delete job will delete these message with archive flag.
But when after archive job ran, according to job log, 0 XML message archived. So this confused me.
Am I understand this wrong? or Archive should setup at very beginning, all message happened before archive setup will not be archived?

I also checked OSS Notes:872388 as you mentioned in another threads. I did checked each step in <Troubleshooting Archiving / Deletion of XML messages and history entries in the Integration Server>, and it looks ok to me.
it finally let me run report <RSXMB_SHOW_REORG_STATUS>, and sent OSS message, I will do that. But I'd like to post report result here for your reference, probably you have some clue from the following data.
