Archiving CO_Item

Hi every one
I am having problems with object CO-Item. I am trying to archive CO_Item in my variant I have to fiscal year 2005 and to posting period 12.
But it picks up PM Orders from fiscal year 2006,2007 and 2008. Can anyone assit me with this

I saw that you have opened the same question twice, I copied also here because I do not know in which one you will follow the updates.
=================
Hello,
You can check the following:
1)  Check in SARA management transaction with archive object CO_ITEM.
For the correspondent "Complete Archiving Sessions" please right click the mouse and select user input
you will find the below entry with data:
Objects for selection screen
Controlling Area
Object Type
Subobject Type
Group or Set
To Fiscal Year                  0000    ****** please check if this field is filled with zero or 2005.
To Posting Period               000
Value Types
Test Run
Archive
Archive and Delete
Detail Log
Archiving Run Memo
(pls also refer to the attachment)
If the fiscal year variant has 0000, then this is the cause and you need to change it.
2) Additional advice from me is: in order to aviod such risk of archiving the current data which is always unexpected pls set customizing for "resident time for co line items".This Indicator determining how
long data remains in the R/3 System before beibeing freed for archiving.
For example, you enter 6 residence periods. For example archiving starts in April 2009. The last posting period for which you can archive a document is September 2008.This will prevent such problem to occour again in the future.
Let me know your comments. I hope it helps -)
Best Regards,
Vanessa.

  • CO_ITEM: write archive for object PSG is cancelled by system

    Dear Experts;
I have one more problem in archiving project at my client using R/3 4.7.
On preparation for this archiving project, we have simulated all objects on "development server" and they went OK and we also have executed what was recommended by sap note nr 613707.
    Now, we move to the next step to QA server where the data is mirroring to Production server. Here the comes the problem on "CO_ITEM". The problem is, the system cancel the write process for object "PSG". For your information, we have checked all the parameter such as;
    - Technical setting
    - Residence time for CO line items
When we check the log it says: "ABAP/4 processor: TSV_TNEW_OCCURS_NO_ROLL_MEMORY"
What does it mean and are we suppose to do?
Your advise and support is highly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    AZNI

Since you QA system is a mirror of Prod it contains large number of CO line items as compared to Dev environment. Due to the large number of CO line items the buffer size is getting exceed resulting in the dump.
Check the OSS Note 888292 - Archiving CO_ITEM for orders terminates
    Hope this helps

  • Archiving Object CO_COSTCTR, CO_TOTAL & CO_CCMAST

We're already archiving CO_ITEM every fiscal year and are considering CO_COSTCTR.
However, SAP recommends that you use CO_CCMAST with the implication that you'd be doing CO_ITEM, CO_TOTAL and CO_CCMAST in sequence.
I do not know too much about CO_TOTAL or CO_CCMAST.
What are the implications of archiving these 2 objects and is there a need/recommendations to archive any reports prior to running the archive?
Any help would be most welcome.
    Thanks.
    Soyab

    Hi Soyab,
Before archiving these CO archiving objects please check whether DaRT is taken care. As CO_ITEM is already ongoing then i thing DaRT is done.
    1. CO_TOTAL: This archiving object is dependent on CO_ITEM, so first archive this AO and later with CO_TOTAL.
    - Controlling area, Order type, Fiscal year and Value type are the major selection criteria for restricting it for archiving.
    2. CO_CCMAST: Dependent on CO_ITEM and CO_TOTAL.
    - Controlling area, Cost center group and Fiscal year are the major selection criteria for restricting for archiving.
Apart for this there are no other reports to execute before archiving these archiving objects.
    Reward if it benifits.

  • Tables not archived with CO_ORDER

    Hi All,
CO_ORDER is the archiving object for archiving orders in CO
The following tables though they are listed in DB15 transaction are not getting archived with CO_ORDER but the table entries are deleted while running the delete program pertaining to CO_ORDER. These tables however are getting archived and deleted with CO_ITEM archiving object with object type ORD
The list of tables that are getting deleted are COBK,COBK_INDX,COEJ,COEJL,COEJR,COEP,COEPB,COEPL,COEPR.
If CO_ORDER object alone has to be archived, then these tables will not get archived but will be directly deleted.
Is there any sequence in archiving CO_ITEM and CO_ORDER?
Any pointers to the same will be helpful.

    Hi,
Refer to the following note and its referenced corresponding notes for further information into this issue.
Note: 110923  Archives cannot be read or accessed
In addition, also refer to the following note that provides further clarity on the use of archiving and analysis (especially the information in relation to Programs RARCCOA1, RARCCOA2)
    Note: 138688   Archiving/Controlling: table analysis
If this is an issue that the archive files for CO_ORDER are no longer available (Deleted), then please refer to the following information:
If you run the Analysis Program RKAARCS1 and the selection for the archive files shows a 'lightning bolt' this means the files are not accessible.
You can then check the archive information structures for CO_ORDER and if they are built. If they are not built there will be a 'red light' which indicates to build the structure via transaction SARI and Status. This is not possible if the Archive Files are not available though.
You will either have to restore the Archive files or Create a new Archive file. Care should be taken when you create Archive files that they are stored in a secure location and backed up on a seperate schedule than your normal backup.
I hope this information helps you get the results you are seeking.
    Kind Regards,
    Brendan

  • CO_ITEM has not been archived some data.

    Hi, expert
    I've archived via CO_ITEM  object for 2006.6.
Of course I've already completed archiving ~2006.5.
But still some of records are not archived.
So, I've checked value type of CO line items(COEP) at SE12
Those value types were parked documents(60), down payments(12,13,58,59,61,63,6A).
Some of records were parked documents(I know that type is not archiving) but rest of records were not down payments.
Can any one help me on this, what could be the reason for this.
    Thanks

    Hi jonathanm91,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know it can be frustrating when you cannot download previously purchased content. I would suggest making sure you are using the same Apple ID that was used to originally purchase the content. If you are using the same account and still cannot download the previously purchased content, it may be necessary to contact iTunes Store support.
    Download past purchases

You may find the answer to your question below:
If your download was interrupted, learn how to resume the download.
See what to do if you have trouble using an app.
Make sure your computer is authorized using the Apple ID that you used for the original purchase.
Make sure your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, Mac, or PC is associated with your Apple ID.
Make sure you’re in a country where iTunes in the Cloud is available.
If you’re having trouble downloading an item, make sure you can download the item again from iTunes in the Cloud. You may want to sync the content to another device instead.
If you can't find the item that you purchased in the iTunes Store, report a problem with the item. You can report a problem with a purchase made within the last 90 days.
If you have a problem with an older purchase, contact iTunes Store support.
After you download your purchases, back up your iTunes library. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they've been refunded or aren't on the iTunes Store.

  • ARCHIVING OBJECT : CO_TOTAL  - Fiscal year issue regarding

    Hi,
    I am trying to archive  (01.04.2007 - 31.03.21008).    - fiscal year : 2008
    when i give the fiscal year : 2008  ( period 1 - 12)
it 's archiving all the datas relevant to 01.04.2007 - 31.03.2008.  which  is correct.
but some of company codes following a  calendar year as financial year .
    in that case  if i give 2008 (period 1 -12)  ( it is archiving jan'2008 - dec'2008) data.
    which is incorrect.
in the archiving object configuration , there is no way for company code wise processing....
*the company code which follows a calendar year is having different controlling area....
Your inputs are useful to us.
    Thanking you.

  • Archiving - "Archive file detail" - "Number of objects"

    Dear All,
I'm not sure this is the right forum to ask my question...
I have an archived file and if I check the file details (SARA > "Management" button > choose the file and double click on it), there's a value on the pop up window called "Number of objects", value for it is "13".
If I read the archived file there are 3692 records (header level).
What's the meaning of the "Number of objects" in the details of archived files?
(I'm speaking about an archived file created in connection with object CO_ITEM)
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Csaba

Number of objects, is simply that the number of data objects included in that specific archive run.
Now the definition of "object" is quite a good question.
I presume an object is the compilation of the data that can be archived for one specific record and its dependencies.
But this is a purely "basis" answer (We just make sure they can go back and forward from the system to the repository)
You go to the Archive explorer in  SARI,  you can list the objects (if the infostructure is in place).
Be interesting to get a FICO Archiving Expert answer.

your earlier reply surely appreciated .......

    Hi Rajesh,
I think SAP help says that the period for which you are planning to delete or archive data may have to be locked.
    Check the following links:

  • Archive Access with CO line item reports

    Experts,
A warning message is presented each time I try to access data archived through archive object CO_ITEM that states "Report XXXX is not planned for archiving object CO_ITEM". I have tried this for reports KSB1 KSBP KKCS KOB1 CPB1 KVBI KSB5 KABP.
After clicking through the warning message I select the archive sessions. This is done through each transaction menu item Extras=>Data Source. The result is that no data is found, however, via the Archive Explorer I can view these records so I feel pretty sure my selction critereia is correct.
    Please advise.

  • "Archive file does not exist" error message in KSB1

I'm fairly new to SAP, and I am receiving this error in KSB1:    Archive file 000786-002 CO_ITEM does not exist.

  • ARCHIVING FI-CO

    Hi,
Which is the name of the object for documents FI-CO when you want to archive data?
    Example:
    for sales : sd_vbak
    thanks

    Hello,
Is there a specific table you are interested in archiving?  Because, there are many FI and CO archiving objects.  The main object for FI is FI_DOCUMNT.  One of the main CO objects would be CO_ITEM.  CO archiving is a bit complex.  There are reports available to help out with analyzing your CO data - the RARCCOA* reports.
These reports will help you figure out which archive object would best handle your systems CO data.
    Regards,
    Karin Tillotson

  • How many documents archived

    Hi,
I have Archived the objects CO_ITEM and FI_DOCmnt and I need to know the number of documents archived.
Where can I get this number please?
    Regards,
    Roger

    Hi Roger,
    SARA->Management is the right way.
Go to SARA, input the object name, click on management. In management you will have 'complete archive sessions', under that you will have your archive sessions(with number and date) and under that you can see your archive files (eg. 000051-001FI_DOCUMNT). double click on that and you can see details like archive session, archive date and you can also see the 'number of objects' which is the number of documents archived, which is for that particular file. So if you want to find out the total number of objects, you will have to add the number of objects for all the archive sessions.
    Hope this helps,
    Naveen

  • Follow-up to archived thread "Another Error (I think) In the 12.1 New Features Guide"

I hoped to be able to add a reply to the most recent reply on March 8 in the "Another Error (I think) In the 12.1 New Features Guide" thread (https://community.oracle.com/thread/3526588), but since that thread has been archived, I am doing what was suggested elsewhere: create a new thread referencing the old one. My reply is:
Thank you for your explanation about preferring PDF over HTML. That is perfectly fine and understandable. Also, we very much appreciate your documentation feedback in this forum, and encourage you to continue to report any issues here.
I apologize for not replying much sooner. I either didn't get or overlooked an original notification about "Recent activity" after your reply; otherwise, I would have replied then.

Thanks for that comment. I have sent a pointer to it to the writer for that book. Note that with the New Features Guide, most of the content is automatically drawn from an internal system that tracks projects and features; so if a change is needed, the writer will notify the owner of that content (typically a developer or a product manager) to investigate and (if necessary) modify the underlying data, after which the changed information will be picked up for a future revision of the book.
Also, while anyone is welcome to enter documentation comments in this forum, another option that may be more convenient for comments on specific sections is the Reader Comment area at the bottom of each HTML page (such as http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16655_01/server.121/e17906/chapter1.htm#NEWFT495 for the page containing Section 1.5.9.8). Any comments entered in a Reader Comment area go to someone in our documentation production group, who forwards them to the appropriate writers.
However, if a comment involves multiple HTML pages or books, or if you want the matter to be in a public forum for visibility and searchability, posting in this forum is a good option.
