Archiving Error X12 files

Hi,
My scenario has the input X12 files mapped to orders idocs. We are using Seeburger conversion modules in the File Adapter to transform the X12 files. When there is any error in the conversion of the X12 file, it throws an exception. Is there any way to archive this file into an 'Errors' folder, so that the adapter can continue processing the rest of the files? Currently, the processing is stuck till the faulty file is manually removed from the folder. Any help in this regard, is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Geetha

Hi Geetha,
Check the sender file adapter(seeburger)..processing mode:
select archieve fualty source file, mention the path where it has to put the files.
You can later on check the folder and process the error files.
Alternatively,
Adapter module can be created if any attachment has to be retained.

Sushama

  • Error with Archiving Faulty Source File in Sender FTP adapter

    Hi All,
    I have configured a Sender FTP adapter with Processing Mode as Archive.
    I am able to read the files from FTP server and archive all the successfuly processed file in the PI aplication server directory XXX/success.
    We need all the error files also to be archived on PI application server in directory XXXXX/Fail so I have checked the option Archive faulty Source Files and provided the application directory  XXXXX/Fail .
    I have unchecked the option Archive Files on FTP server.
    But the problem is when FTP adapter is getting any error files it is not able to archive it to application directory  XXXXX/Fail .
    In RWB it is showing the error
    Unable to archive faulty input file /data/abc.txt to /XXXX/fail/abc.txt
    Cause: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 rename: No such file or directory
    This directory is existing and works fine when I give this directory name in Archive directory of processing mode.
    Sender FTP adapter is trying to archive the file in FTP server which I dont want and giving us this error.
    If I give any Directory which is present in FTP server my error files are getting archived on FTP server but not in the archived folder.
    I have already unchecked the option Archive Files on FTP server.
    Please help......
    I am on PI 7.11

  • Archive Error file in PI

    Hi frnds,
    I have a requirement which says we need to archive a file when it is in error in PI. How can we acheive this as we need to move error file into a specific folder.
    Any Suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Prabhas

    Hi Prabhas,
    You need to use the option of  "Archive faulty Source Files" in the  processing tab of your Sender Communication channel.
    Open your sender comm. channel --> goto the Processing tab -
    > In processing parameters you will find an option
      "Archive faulty Source Files " , check the corresponding checkbox -
    > then you will get another parameter " Directory for Archiving Files with Errors" ---> Here you need to specify the path of the folder where you want to move the error file to archieve it.
    Hope this will help you

  • [Solved] Error : The file or folder path /Probl?me 1 does not exist

    Hello,
    I encountered this error
    The file or folder <path>/Probl?me 2 does not exist
    while I was trying to open a directory already extracted from a zip file containing directories with special characters. In this case, it is a "è" that was misinterpreted as a "?".
    I searched the forums and on google, the solutions proposed do not work for me. Although, I have to deal with these files written in french, I would like to have my locale in english (US), with a system wide support for special characters.
    Attempt 1: Adding the option : iocharset=utf8 into the fstab, like this :
    fstab :
    # /etc/fstab: static file system information
    # <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>

    #/dev/sda12 /mnt/archive ext4 defaults 0 2
    #.host:/ /mnt/hgfs vmhgfs defaults 0 0
    This solution does not work, because after adding iocharset=utf8, in front or after a "defaults", after a reboot, while mounting the filesystem, there is the following error message:

    It is complicated to remove these directories. I had to use the inum to get precisely these directories before removing them.
    $ ls -il

    $ find . -inum 1577566 -exec rm -i {} \;
    rm: impossible de supprimer « ./Probl\212me 1 »: est un dossier
    Note that the hypothetical character 'è' is represented has a '\212', a 'È' if seen as a extended ASCII character.
    These directories cannot be deleted this way :
    $ rm -r Problème\ 1
    rm: cannot remove `Problème 1': No such file or directory
    or
    $ rm -r ProblÈme\ 1
    rm: cannot remove `ProblÈme 1': No such file or directory
    What should I do to be make the operating system recognize those special character, and interpret them correctly ?

    I found a working solution, but better solution are also welcome
    I had to have fr_CA not only in utf8 but also in iso88591. I had to modify the /etc/rc.conf this way :
    LOCALE="fr_CA" <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
    HARDWARECLOCK=""
    TIMEZONE="America/Montreal"
    KEYMAP="us"
    CONSOLEFONT=
    CONSOLEMAP=
    USECOLOR="yes"
    To preserve the english US language system wide, I had to add the following line in the /etc/profile :
    # Allow french special character while in en_US
    export LANG=en_US
    The character misinterpreted by a "?" is now seen :
    as a "è" in dolphin
    as a "?" in the console
    It is now possible to access the folders.

  • Access denied. Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\

    I have searched on Google and all over this forum and none of the solutions have fixed my problem.
    Crystal Version: Crsytal.Net for Visual Studio.Net 2005
    Server: Windows Server 2003
    Error:
    Access denied. Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\JuryDutyReport {D6296178-3E72-483E-B876-2DFC03D00841}.rpt: Access to report file denied. Another program may be using it.
    When I run my app locally through the Web Server that comes with ASP.Net, everything is fine, it is only when I deploy the application to the Windows 2003 Server that I get the error.
    I'm using impersonation in my ASP.Net application.  I have given that domain user full access to 'C:\Windows\Temp'', the export folder and even the folder where the Crystal Report resides on the Server.  When I run the application on the Web Server, I actually see the ".rpt" get created in the "C:\Windows\Temp" folder but yet it still says there is a permissions error.
    What is bizarre is that the code below that just sends the file to the printer automatically works:
      private void PrintJuryDutyReport(DataSet ds)
            //create report document
            ReportDocument crDoc = new ReportDocument();
            //load, set datasource and print options
            crDoc.Load(Server.MapPath("~/Reports/JuryDutyReport.rpt"));
            crDoc.SetDataSource(ds); //set datasource
            crDoc.PrintOptions.PrinterName = ddlPrinters.SelectedValue.ToString(); //set printername
            crDoc.PrintOptions.PaperOrientation = PaperOrientation.Portrait; //set paper orientation
            crDoc.SetParameterValue("ParamUsername", User.Identity.Name); //set parameter
            crDoc.PrintToPrinter(1, false, 0, 0); //send to printer
    I have to change the code to export to a PDF and this code doesn't work:
        private void PrintJuryDutyReport(DataSet ds)
            //report document
            ReportDocument crDoc = new ReportDocument();
            string myfile = @"G:\COPFS\COPFSPROD\ReportsTemp\MyPDF.pdf";
            //load, set datasource and print options
            crDoc.Load(Server.MapPath("~/Reports/JuryDutyReport.rpt"));
            crDoc.SetDataSource(ds); //set datasource
            crDoc.SetParameterValue("ParamUsername", User.Identity.Name); //set parameter
            //export through http
            crDoc.ExportToDisk(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, myfile);
            crDoc.Close();
            crDoc.Dispose();
            Response.ClearContent();
            Response.ClearHeaders();
            Response.ContentType = "Application/pdf";
            Response.AppendHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=" + myfile);
            Response.WriteFile(myfile);
            Response.Flush();
            Response.Close();
    Any help is greatly appreciated as I have to present this to end users tomorrow.

    Don, thanks for the response.
    As a last ditch effort, I granted "modify" to the Network Service Account on C:\Windows\Temp and that fixed the error.
    There are two things that are troubling about this:
    1) I'm impersonating a domain user in my ASP.Net application and when the PDF is created, the owner is that domain user, so I know impersonation is working.  So I wonder if ASP.Net picks and chooses what account it runs under at different times?
    2) It is a little scary for the Network Service Account to have this access but that people seem to be fine with it.

  • Archiving old TM files--new TM disk

    I'm moving my TM setup to an NAS drive. I originally wanted to use the NAS for iTunes, but that was too problematic and I discovered you can't back up an NAS drive to TM. So, I'm moving my iTunes folder to my old TM drive (USB external) and using the NAS for TM backup. I'd like to archive the backup files from the old USB drive, at least for a while, but I get error messages when I try to copy them. An example is "The item 'backups.backup.db' can't be moved because 'imacbackup' can't be modified". ('imacbackup' is a folder I created on the NAS.) I get other error messages when I try to copy the folder to the iMac itself. Is there something funky about the TM files that make them unmoveable? Thanks!

    I doubt Disk Utility will even work on a NAS. But CCC should. If it doesn't provide access to a NAS then you'll need to try something that will such as:
    Data Backup
    Deja Vu
    Silver Keeper
    Retrospect
    Super Flexible File Synchronizer
    Synchronize Pro! X
    Synk Pro
    Synk Standard
    Tri-Backup
    Others may be found at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
    Or I don't see why you couldn't use the TM application to restore data to the NAS.

  • Archiving faulty Source file not working in Sender Adapter FCC

    Hi Experts,
    I have enabled "Archiving Faulty Source File" in Sender Adapter FCC and pen down the directory path accordingly.
    Likewise I also enable the processed mode as "archive" and give it the direcotory path.
    However when there is a error flagged in sxmb_moni for this interface, I unable to see any file created in the error folder but I can see a file with timestamp being created in the archive folder.
    I have checked the access right to the directory, so this is not an issue. I ran through the forum on this subject and come across the help.sap note on the following
    " To archive source files where a permanent error occurred during processing, set the indicator.
    A permanent error occurs either during the conversion of the file content, or in a module in the module processor.
    More information: MessageTransformBean, Migrating Dispatcher Classes
    ○       Specify the Directory for Error Archiving.
    ○       To add a time stamp to the archived file, select Add Time Stamp. "
    What is the definition as "permanent error". The error I got in sxmb_moni is a mapping conversion error, so it should be archive this to the error folder, right ?
    Anyone have any such setting enabled and working ?
    Regards
    FNG

    The error I got in sxmb_moni is a mapping conversion error, so it should be archive this to the error folder, right ?
    No, it is not the case. As mentioned on the SAP Help site, for the faulty file to be archived, the error has to occur in content conversion, or in module processor.
    If the error you are getting is in MONI, then it means syntactically the file is correct and hence adapter engine has picked up and sent to integration engine (SXMB_MONI).

  • How to enable the Archive faulty source file in File adapter

    Dear XI expert,
    I want to enable the Archive Faultly source file, when the exchange step detects any error then move the source file to the ERROR folder.

  • Archive Faulty Source File

    We have an issue in moving the faulty source files to a particular directory.
    We could move all successfully processed files to an archive directory, but not able to move the error files (having some data issue) to another archive directory, so that we can continue with processing of other files.
    Module  used:
    AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean  --> 1
    Parameter:
    Transform.PermanentErrors --> true
    But this is not working.
    I see a similar thread which is not answered:
    Re: Archive Faulty Source File
    Your inputs are appreciated.

    I actually have two scenarios:
    1. Asynchronous
    2. Synchronous
    In Asynchronous; best part is, all files are getting processed, in spite if there are any erroneous files in between, at least it continues with next file.  My problem here is, it archives all successful and error files to the same Archive directory; though I have mentioned different directory for u2018Faulty Source Fileu2019. And there are no errors when I see in the CC monitoring. But there is error in sxmb_moni (actually I have failed it intentionally)
    Runtime exception occurred during application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_CreateProductMaster_to_CreateProdu~; com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException:The element type "Products" must be terminated bythe matching end-tag "</Products>".
    In  Synchronous: If there are any error files in between:  it never go to the next file, it is stuck in the same file and retries the same.   And error in CC monitoring is:
    Error: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Application:EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE:
    In sxmb_moni
    Runtime exception occurred during application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_CreateProductMaster_to_CreateProdu~; com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException:The element type "Products" must be terminated bythe matching end-tag "</Products>".

  • Unzip the file archived by the File adapter

    Hi Experts,
    we have a scenario where we are archiving a xml file using the File adapter and also it is being zipped by the OS command.
    the script not only zips the file, it also rename the file from *.zip to *.xml.
    Hence after archiving when I am trying to open it, the content appears to be junk.
    Please suggest how to unzip the file as it got a extension *.xml.
    And I also tried renaming the file to *.zip and then to uncompress, but it shows below error
    Cannot open : it does not appear to be a valid archive
    Thanks in advance,
    MK

    hi Mk,
    instead of using OS command try using the exesting module provided by the SAP, so your job will be easy.
    follow this steps in the module processing for UN ZIP
    Processing sequence:
    Module name: AF_Modules/PayloadZipBean
    Type: Local Enterprise Bean
    Module key: 3
    u2022 Module configuration:
    Module key: 3
    Parameter name: zip.mode
    Parameter value: unzip.
    in the commincation channel specify filename.xml
    so you can open the file in XML format

  • Processing Mode = 'Delete'; Archive Faulty Source Files; Add Timestamp ?

    XI3.0 SPS 19
    For FTP Sender adapter, if Processing Mode is Delete, and you want to Archive Faulty Source Files with an added timestamp, it does not work (meaning it does not archive the faulty source file at all).
    Any suggestions?
    If I change the processing mode to Archive, it works. But my requirement is to archive only faulty files after adding timestamp and the source files should be deleted if processed.
    Thanks
    JB

    Hi james
    If you are using FCC or Modules then only Faulty files will be archived.
    The error that works with this should be a permanent error of file like field missing or compulsory field etc.
    if i understand correct you are trying to use Archive faulty messages in delete mode and you have FCC right ?
    I have also seen this behavior in delete mode it File adapter never archive. So it wont archive the faulty file as well.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

  • Invalid Zip archive error

    I've downloaded Oracle 92010NT_Disk2.zip, when I try to unzip, it gives me an invalid archive error.

    Generally, this happens because the FTP connection was dropped mid-way through downloading. Download the file again and it will probably work.
    Note that the download page indicates the size of the files. You want to make sure that the files you download are the same size as the web site indicates they ought to be.

    I'm having an issue with Windows Failover Cluster with a Windows Server 2012 R2  machine. I have two cluster nodes (nodeA and nodeB). My issue is that when nodeA is the owner node, and I open failover cluster manager  <clusterName> >>
    roles >> <fileserver role> >> shares tab it will hang and say that it is loading, but this will occur infinitely. Although when I go to nodeB (not the owner node) and I go to shares it will show me all of the shares that I have. Next when
    I go to <clusterName> >> Nodes  >> click on Roles tab the information says "There were errors retrieving file shares."
    Now when I switch the nobeB to the owner node, I cannot view the shares on that machine but can now view them on nodeA.
    We alse have a test network where I have recreated the machines, environment and the failover cluster to as close as the production network as I can except everything works great in the test network

    For anybody searching on this later...
    I was getting "There were errors retrieving file shares" no matter which node of my cluster
    owned the fileshare service.  Turns out my problem was that my servers don't have internet access and I had set a system proxy.  The fix described in the link below was to exclude the local domain from the proxy.
