Archiving Inspection lots

Hi,
i am usging Archiving Object QM_CONTROL.
i want to Archive selected Inspection lots like 140000000001 to 140000001000.
in my maintain variant
i am giving input
Plant : 1000
Selection Profile : SAPQL01
Inspection Lots  : 140000000001 to 140000001000
its not reading any Inspection lots, Usage decision records and selected inspection lots.
can any one give the process to Archive the Selected Inspection lots using Archiving Object QM_CONTROL.

Check note 1002056 whether it helps.
Have you tried archiving with just the inspection lot range without the selection profile? also have you maintained proper residence times for inspection lots and performed the pre-processing run before running the archive run?

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm archiving inspection lots of goods receipt, when I executed the preparation program, inspection lots with the following status were not affected by the program, status: LTIN STIC SPCO CLQM STUP.
    I thought that may be the presence of long term inspection characteristic, is affecting the process, beside that there was status INSP which is inspection active, so I closed this characteristic, saved the UD and got this new
    status: UD   ICCO SPCO CLQM STUP. I waited till the residence period ends and executed the preparation program, but it is still not setting the status ARBL for the lots.
    Does any body have a solution ?

    That doesn't really surprise me.  Whoever designed the coding for SAP probably never considered that someone would want to archive just one inspection lot.  So they probably didn't test it for just one variable being passed.  More then likely somewhere in their code they wind up with a starting (or ending value) but a null value for the other side of the range.  It was probably never tested for hence not trapped for.
    Kind of a bug but then again, not really.

  • Archive inspection lot:-LTIN STIC STUP

    Hi there
    Issue: The system is not considering the inspection lots for archiving if i changed the status from "LTIN STIC STUP" to "UD   ICCO STUP" .
    When i ran in test mode RQRQAB00, I can see that the system is able to read the inspection lot,  usage decision but its not considering to select for archiving.
    Some Notes regarding the above
    Status of "LTIN STIC STUP" inspection lot is Green
    I have checked the Archiving parameters, these details are all good.
    All the pre reqs are met,
    Can any one guide me, what i am missing here, is there anything else i should be doing to archive these inspection lots
    I have archived the inspection lots with UD with out any issues
    Please guide me

    Please check the following requirementes to archive an inspection lot:
    - The inspection lot has been cancelled, or if a usage decision has been made. (OK for you)
    - The last change to the usage decision was made before the retention duration.
    - All stock has been posted for a stock-relevant inspection lot. (OK for you)
    - If the inspection lot is not used in any of the following data records:
      Production order header
      Delivery note item
      Transfer requirement item without a “delivery completed” indicator.
      Quality level

  • Batch number archiving- Inspection lot is causing the problem

    I am trying to archive a batch, but I do receive the below message:
    u201CMaterial is used in Inspection Lotu201D. Message number W4123.
    How do I archive an Inspection Lot?
    Note We are not using Long term Inspection.. We are in ECC 6.
    Anyone had this issue before?

    Thank you for your reply. Infact, I do not have any open inspection lots. UD was done against it. I could successfully archive the inspection lot. The status on the inspection lot is now ARCH. Now I ran MM_SPSTOCK to archive the associated batch number. But still I get message "Material is used in Inspection Lots".
    any ideas?

  • Archiving Inspection Lots – Status ARBL

    Hi
    I’m busy setting ARBL status on Inspection lots using program RQRQAB00.
    These Inspection Lots are very old but all of them contain status UD or LTCA.
    The problem I’m facing is that Inspection Plan was deleted resulting in message “Inspection plan xxxxxxx does not exist” (Message no. QA318) when displaying these Inspection lots.
    Program RQRQAB00 does not issue a clear message for not activating status ARBL. Only reason I can think of is above message (QA318).
    What would be the easiest solution to activate ARBL?

    Hi Werner,
    You can set ARBL by using SARA transaction and using object QM_CONTROL.
    Please create a  variant and schedule a job in background.
    You need to execute Pre processing job to make lots ready for archiving and put them in status blocked for archiving.
    Please check the pre-requisites for creating the inspection lot:-
    An inspection lot can only be archived if:
    ·        The inspection lot has been cancelled, or if a usage decision has been made.
    ·        If the last change to the usage decision was made before the retention duration.
    ·        All stock has been posted for a stock-relevant inspection lot.
    ·        If the inspection lot is not used in any of the following data records:
    ¡        Production order header
    ¡        Delivery note item
    ¡        Transfer requirement item without a “delivery completed” indicator.
    ¡        Quality level

  • Archiving batch- material used in inspection lot error

    Hai,
    I am trying to archive a batch, but I do receive the below message:
    u201CMaterial is used in Inspection Lotu201D. Message number W4123.
    Prior to this I archived the existing Inspection Lot using u2018QM_CONTROLu2019. The status on the inspection lot is now ARCH. There are no other open inspection lots for this material/batch.
    I ran MM_SPSTOCK to archive the associated batch number. But still I get message "Material is used in Inspection Lot".
    Note We are not using Long term Inspection.. We are in ECC 6.
    Did anyone has this same issue before?

    Just check the existing batch & Material combination - that particular material -recurring inspection09 is selected or anyone of the batch & Material is QI stock.

    Hi,
    To archive the Inspection lot, first go to transaction SARA
    Input the object name    QM_CONTROL,click on write button
    Type in a variant name and click Maintain. (Tick the Test Mode for archive simulation).
    Save the variant.
    Maintain the Start date and Spool parameters and click execute.
    Click Go to Job Overview to check the archive status.
    To do a permanent delete, click Delete button.
    Maintain the Archive Selection, Start date and Spool parameters.
    Click Test Session for testing or click execute to start the deletion program.
    Click Go to Job Overview to check the delete status.
    This need to be done carefully and better to first do it in testing client.

    Its better to discuss the scenario with BASIS guys at your place before doing it yourself. Otherwise you can put a filter in QA32 to  omit the lots if they are in LTCA status.

  • Inspection lot assosiated with 322 mvt.

    Hi QM experts,
    Inspection type 08 is asigned to the material. bue when we did a 322 mvt the system didn't create the Inspection lot but the stock posted to Qulaity inspection. All the movements happened on 3 years back.
    Not possible to cancel the material documents because all already archived.
    I want to scrap the material. Kindly advise to fix the Issue.
    I can't perform 551 and 553 because i am getting error Mvt. only possible with QM.

    Try to move the material to unrestricted by 321 movement type and try to do 551.
    Other wise please activate 0800 inspection type by using QA08. It will create a lot for existing stock in QI. DO the stock posting after that

  • Quality certificate -  Delivery ,Inspection lot

    Dear guys,
    Hope every one is doing well
    Here is my question, this is the first time i am working on Quality certificates
    From sap help came to know that
    For Quality certificate for Delivery we need to create a certificate profile , forms that is lay out and contents of the certificate
    and we need to assign to material and sales organization or customer
    Thats clear for me, but also we need to define the output type as LQCA and LQCB if it is ship to party or sold to party
    so i belive that when ever delivery Inspection lot UD is done Quality certifiacte is printed according to certificate profile and output type
    i belive that the charactersitics of the inspection lot also printed in the Quality certificate
    system gets the information from certificate profile , in the charecteristic assignement
    just please someone help me that my understanding is correct
    Also i need to know if i want to print Quality certificate for inspection lot how do i set the output type as there is nothing like LQCA,LQCB for inspection lot
    please help me what setting i need to do for printing inspection lot Quality certificate

  • Follow-up action : please help - Inspection Lot related

    Hi,
    I am having the following trouble:
    Through MB02, a printout is generated to the local printer (LOCL).
    However, through QA11, when we save, we have a custom follow-up action attached that pops-up a
    dialog screen.
    The follow up action is triggered when a usage decision is changed for the inspection lot.
    The follow-up action (configured in IMG) calls a Function Module and a screen, which in turn populates
    a value into a custom DB table (based on the buttons, on the screen, sending either to LOCL or to a
    zebra printer).
    Now, what has to happen is that after inserting the value into a custom table, it should also open a sapscript and output.
    The Sapscript and print program are there, with the print program being created 3-4 years ago by someone
    else. However, even though we have code in the print program to update nast, in turn creating a message
    for output (1st the custom DB table is checked to see if the values match, MATNRCHARG), It does not update
    NAST. When we go through MB02, it does, but this should happen automatically after selecting one of the radio
    buttons on the original pop-up & selecting print.
    Please help. I don't know what to do and can't enable a debugger from the pop-up and if going though QA11,
    I can't get it to stop inside the print program (only inside the custom FM).

  • Creation of inspection lot 04 depending on production version

    Hi Experts,
    could you tell me if it is possible to create a Good Receipt inspection (lot origin 04) depending on the production version used ?
    My material has 2 production versions:
    0001 - production with process order
    0002 - production with repetitve manufacturing
    When I do a GR on process order, I do not want to create an inspection lot 04.
    When I do a GR on product cost collector, I want to create an inspection lot 04.
    As I have entered inspection types in material master data, I do not know how to do the distinction ?

  • Inspection lot  is not getting updated in quant

    Hi Experts,
    Need your help..
    I have posted two material doc with same material following is the consequences :
    1.we have immediate TO creation process , so now we have 2 TO's and 2 inspection lots.
    2.When i am doing UD for first inspection lot PCN does get created.
    3.Now i do TO confirmation for putaway for TR and then TO creation and confirmation for PCN and material is in bin.
    4.When i am confirming the TO(TR i.e putaway TO) ,Inspection lot  is not getting updated in the quant due to which i am not able to convert PCN to TO
    Because in quant i found previous inspection lot which is different from having in PCN document.
    So is there any solution which will update the inspection lot in quant once we confirm TO(putaway TO) ?
    Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks for you help but now i going for below development :
    Once UD is done system will take the inspection lot from from the quant and will overwrite to the
       newly created PCN
    So that during PCN to TO creation (LU04) inspection lot will remain same both in quant and PCN .
    Do you have any idea on this i mean where in QA32 tcode i have to write this logic ?

  • Inspection Characteristic is not being displayed in the inspection lot

    I have created a Calibration order by first creating method, then a MIC, same is attached to a task list and then a Plan.
    But when i trigger a order for that task list the inspection characteristics as mentioned in the task list does not appear in the order.
    Please let me know how to get the inspection characteristics in the order.
    I have checked the task list, in that the Inspection characteristics is visible.

    I have noted one thing, in inspection lot the sample size is shown as zero for the equipment where the inspection characteristic is not being displayed and it is shown as one for the lot where the inspection characteristic is displayed.
    Both the Inspection lot the task list is same
