Archiving object CRM_SEOPD in solution manager

Hello,
The self diagnostics for solution manager throws a warning under "Service Desk" functionality with message text "Critical number of incidents per support team or error reading volume". The detail display shows:
Strategy for resolving the alert -  to start an archiving project for incidents using archiving object CRM_SEORD.
Details of this Alert - 1. No support teams, i.e. business partner type organization (Message no. DSWP_SD127).
Does anyone have a clue how to go about resolving this warning.
Thanks,
Asif

Hello,
For Archiving Support Desk messages you should refer to SAP Note  1329247 - Archiving Solution Manager Service Desk messages. It describes the process which is a two part process, one part in Solution Manager, the second part in CRM.
This will resolve this issue.
Glad to help!

Paul

    1)     Install the specified Microsoft security patch in accordance with the instructions in SAP Note 1375494 in BOBJ Server
    2)     Download SAPHOSTAGENT711_56-20006321.SAR and uncared.
    3)     The login user requires authorization to create a service. To set this specific authorization, do the following:
    a.     On the Microsoft Windows host, choose Start Control Panel  Administrative Tools  Local Security Policy .
    b.     In the navigation bar, choose Security Settings  Local Policies  User Rights Assignment , and then double-click the line Log on as a service.
    c.     Add the login user to the list by choosing the Add User or Groupu2026 button and entering this user.
    4)     SAP HOSTAGENT version 7.11 instead 7.20. Then again upgraded to 7.20 version
    5)     Downloaded the attached file ewa4boe.zip in SAP Note 1393207 onto C:\EWA folder of BOBJ server and extracted.  As administration user, executed the batch script enable_ewa_monitoring.bat by invoking enable_ewa_monitoring.bat
    I hope this resolves

  • Solution Manager and Business Object

    Hi all,
Have you seen any specific information (from SAP or others) indicating how SAP plan to integrate the Business Object Products into Solution Manager?
First of all I need information about the SOLAR01/02 transactions (e.g. will separate Business Objects development objects become available? Will ASAP be extended to include Business Objects Projects?)
Secondly I would like to know if the Operations scenario also will be enhanced in order to include Business Objects Solutions?
    Any informations/links/etc. would be welcome
    Thanks in advance
    Peter Michael

    Hi,
    SOLAR01 - Business Blueprint
    SOLAR02 - Configuration.
Implementation projects are projects to select and implement business processes in an SAP landscape. A Business Blueprint documents these business process requirements of a company. Collaborative business processes involve several companies
The Business Blueprint provides a common strategy of how your business processes are to be mapped into one or more SAP systems. The Business Blueprint documents in detail the scope of business scenarios, business processes, process steps, and the requirements of an SAP solution implementation.
A Business Blueprint comprises the following structure elements in a hierarchy:
    Organizational Units
    Master data
    Business scenarios
    Business processes
    Process steps
You assign content, for example, project documentation, Business Configuration Sets or transactions, to individual structure elements, in the SAP Solution Manager.
SOLAR02(Configuration)  configures the process requirements specified in the Business Blueprint phase, in the system. If you use objects from the Business Process Repository in your own structures, some of them are already assigned to transactions and BC Sets. If you create structures independently, i.e. without objects from the Business Process Repository, you can assign transactions in the transaction Business Blueprint. You can assign BC Sets, IMG objects and test cases/business test requirements, in the transaction Configuration.

    Hi Gaito,
If your question is : "How many systems does a SolMan system landscape have ?" the answer depends on what functionnality you want to implement :
    - for the CRM based scenarii the recommandation is to use a two system system landscape
    - for the other ones, you can use a single system system landscape
    Hope this will help.

  • Archiving/Deleting Test Messages in SAP Solution manager

    Hi,
We have configured Service Desk in our solution manager 7.0 with EHP1 system.
We have created test messages to test the configuration.
We need to delete these test messages which are appearing in T Code CRM_DNO_MONITOR.
We run the report "CRM_ORDER_DELETE" but the output is
    Deletion of CRM Documents
The following document could not be deleted:                 8000000259
Not possible to delete, a reference exists to a subsequent document
    Number of documents deleted:                                          0
Number of documents not deleted:                                      1
    So
We have followed the "Note 1329247 - Archiving Solution Manager Service Desk messages".
    1)
a)Call transaction DNOTIFWL and set the deletion flag for the Service Desk message. The deletion flag corresponds to the system status I1076 (deletion flag).
    b) Execute the report Z_DELETE_BASIC_NOTIFICATIONS
The above step we have executed successfully.
    2)
    In CRM
You cannot delete a service process in CRM. The service process must be archived.
Call transaction SARA and select the archiving object CRM_SERORD. Archiving involves three steps:
    a) Initial run     Report CRM_ARC_SERORD_CHECK
    b) Write run       Report CRM_ARC_SERORD_SAVE
    c) Delete run     Report CRM_ARC_SERORD_DELETE
in SARA T Code we have typed  archiving object CRM_SERORD.
After this what to do??? How to proceed further.
Can any body suggest us the step by step procedure to archive these test messages.
    Regards,
    Raj

You need to schedule a BGD job to execute this. You can do this from the SARA screen itself, clicking on the 'Job' button. Please refer:

  • EWA for Business Objects (XI 3.1) within SAP Solution Manager

    Hello!
We use Business Objects (XI 3.1) and would like to get weekly a EWA report within our SAP Solution Manager.
Our SAP Solution Manger has only ABAP stack and it has the SPS version 25.
We also do not use Wily Introscope/Diagnostics and E2E tools within SAP Solution Manager.
    Question
Is it possible to set up EWA for Business Objects with our requirements (SOLMAN with ABAP stack and without E2E/Diagnostics tools)?

    Hello,
The short answer is no. You can verify this in SAP Note  1507629  - Preparing a BOE system for Service Sessions in Sol. Manager.
    "...1.) Managed System Setup
Perform the Managed System Setup for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise as
described in the "End-to-End Root Cause Analysis System Landscape Setup
Guide". This guide can be found in the SAP Service Market Place:
    -> http://service.sap.com/diagnostics
-> Navigate to the "Media Library"
-> Open the document "SAP Solution Manager Landscape Setup Guide"
Please ensure that you perform all steps mentioned in the guide which
are relevant for your product and version. Please read also SAP note
1357901, which is also referred to in the above mentioned setup guide."
So this is a requirement. There are also pdf documetns attached to this note  that describe how to setup the EWA in Solution Manager. EGI_SBOP_EWA_part1.pdf and EGI_SBOP_EWA_part2.pdf.
The fact you have no Java stack and have not installed Diagnostics, just means it has not been done. It can be done and then you can do a managed system setup, and the balance of tasks required to prepare the system and Solution manager to generate EWA reports for the BOE system. Its just more work, not a show stopper.

    Paul

  • MDM OR BUSINESS OBJECTS  OR WEB DYNPRO or SOLUTION MANAGER

gurus  can anyone tell me is it helpful to learn MDM or BO or WEB DYNPRO or SOLUTION MANAGER for crm consultants? To what extent this technologies are useful for crm consultants.

    Hi Shiva,
What kind of SAP CRM Consultant Role you are referring to ? Is it Functional Consultant, Technical Consultant or a Techno Functional Consultant ?
For a Functional Consultant - SAP Solution Manager and Business Objects makes more sense, while the  a basic understanding of Technologies like (Web Dynpro   ) is also required.
For Techno Functional Consultant - Web Dynpro       understanding is very important followed by MDM, Business Objects and Solution Manager.
Hope this has cleared your doubts and thrown some lights on your question.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

  • Archive and delete sap event management objects

Team, I need to configure the archiving objects and residence time to Archive and delete EM objects. there are three steps of configuration, and I have never done this before.
Can any one of you help me in setting up this config and the programs that need to run to archive and delete these objects.
I would really appreciate you help and quick response on this.
    Define Archiving-Object-Specific Customizing
Define Residence Times for Archiving or Deleting
Define Settings for Deleting Document Flow
    Thank you!!!

    Hello Steffen,
I was told that it would be possible to display archived and deleted event handlers using BAPI /SAPTRX/BAPI_EH_GET_DATA_GEN. I tested it, but could not verify this statement. SAP Help reads:
"The archiving object /SAPTRX/A0 only supports a technical view in the Archive Explorer of the Archive Information System. This view is similar to the display in transaction SE16."
It would be great if you could help clarify this. Thank you!

  • Can Solution Manager do JAVA change management?

We want to Solution manager 4.0 to control ABAP and JAVA change
    across the enterprise.
The only question is that whether we can use Solution Manager to replace NWDI.
Please advise, I'll give points. Thanks!

    Hi Sukhii,
This new functionality is called CTS+ or OTO project and is comming in SP12 for Basis:
This enhancement enables you to use the transport functions in Transport Organizer and Transport Management System to transport non-ABAP objects. This includes objects such as the following:
    - Objects from the SAP NetWeaver usage type EP (Enterprise Portal Archives, EPAs)
    - Objects from the SAP NetWeaver usage type PI (XI transport files, TPZs)
    - Objects from the SAP NetWeaver usage type DI (software component archives, SCAs; development component archives, SDAs)
The objects are transported in transport requests (type Workbench Request) along the transport routes defined between systems in CTS. You can include non-ABAP objects in transport requests either in CTS (transaction SE09) or on a Web Dynpro UI.
This enables you to manage transports between non-ABAP SAP systems in a central CTS.
A function for creating non-ABAP systems in CTS has been added to the existing UIs. To deploy objects in non-ABAP systems, you require a NW Java Server as well as SAP NWAS ABAP.
    Effects on System Administration
You can now administer transports in a central system by creating non-ABAP systems and defining appropriate transport routes.
    Effects on Customizing
Any existing settings in CTS are preserved
For the moment in the Solman system this functionality will be available in ST12 but still is not clear for which scenarios , probably for PI and EP.
    Best regards,
