Alberto,
Can you explain what you are trying to do. Are you trying to archive data from a BI object or are you trying to export data out of a BI object using open hub.

    Hello,
    I am trying to use an open hub with a logical file name.
    By the SAP help looks like you have to use/define a archiving object:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/e3/e60138fede083de10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/8d/3e4ec2462a11d189000000e8323d3a/frameset.htm
    Steps 1 and 2 of "Defining Logical Path and File Names" are done and tested:
           1.      Definition of the logical path name
           2.      Definition of the logical file name
           3.      Assignment of the logical fine name for the archiving object
    But is it not clear to me if an archiving object is suppose to be used, which one then?,  or if you have to create a new archiving object, with which characteristics?
    Any help welcome,
    Alberto.

  • During writing for archiving object FI_MKKDOC, file is not getting created

    Hi Experts,
    I am new to archiving concept & have one archiving object FI_MKKDOC which i have to complete as soon as possible.
    In this i have done all the basic settings & when i am excuting the transaction after putting production variant & scheduling it as immediate with LP01 printer.Job is finished successfully but in the log there is no message for any file creation. I have checked AL11 transaction also, no file is getting generated. Please help, we have configured the logical file ARCHIVE_GLOBAL_PATH and ARCHIVE_DATA_FILE.

    dont you have a spool file for this archiving job? This should usually list errors that prevented an item from beeing archived, and if nothing was archived, then no file exists.
    When you define a variant for the write step, then select full detailed log in the lower part of the selection screen, especially if it is the first time that you archive with this object.
    Further, please read the docu behind the blue info button in the selection screen. This tells you the sequence you have to use for the archiving as well as other important details.

  • MM_EKKO Archiving Object

    Hi,
    Reg: MM_EKKO - Material Management Archiving Object.
    I have executed the Write Job it completed successfully. And then I executed Delete Job in 'Test Mode', it also executed successfully and it didn't delete the record from the table which is correct. But when i tried to open the Purchase order from ME23N it shown message in status as ' Purchase Order already archived'. Kindly let me know why this message is produced.
    Regards,
    Vimal

    Hi Reddy,
    Thanksfor your reply.
    Actually my concern is not that.
    Write Job(Production Mode) --  It Created a Archive file with the Purchase Order i specified in the selection parameter. So write Job is fine.
    Delete Job(Production Mode) - It deleted the Purchase Order from the database and the archived PO is displayed from ME23N. So this is also fine.
    Delete Job(Test Mode) -- It just executed, Purchase Order is not deleted from database. Which is also fine and correct as well. When i displayed the same PO in ME23N, The PO is displayed with message 'Purchase Order is already archived' . But it should not show the message bcoz i didnt archived it. This is wat my concern.

  • Capture all SQL statements and archive to file in real time

    Want to Capture all SQL statements and archive to file in real time?
    Oracle Session Manager is the tool just you need.
    Get it at http://www.wangz.net
    This tools monitor how connected sessions use database instance resources in real time. You can obtain an overview of session activity sorted by a statistic of your choosing. For any given session, you can then drill down for more detail. You can further customize the information you display by specifying manual or automatic data refresh, the rate of automatic refresh.
    In addition to these useful monitoring capabilities, OSM allows you to send LAN pop-up message to users of Oracle sessions.
    Features:
    --Capture all SQL statement text and archive to files in real time
    --Pinpoints problematic database sessions and displays detailed performance and resource consumption data.
    --Dynamically list sessions holding locks and other sessions who are waiting for.
    --Support to kill several selected sessions
    --Send LAN pop-up message to users of Oracle sessions
    --Gives hit/miss ratio for library cache,dictionary cache and buffer cache periodically,helps to tune memory
    --Export necessary data into file
    --Modify the dynamic system parameters on the fly
    --Syntax highlight for SQL statements
    --An overview of your current connected instance informaiton,such as Version, SGA,License,etc

    Can anybody tell me if this is correct behavior or am I missing something here ?Calling procedure must terminate before data is actually written to the file.
    It is expected & correct behavior.

  • Sender File Adapter: Adapter Module to archive incoming file?

    Dear experts,
    I have ZIP files coming from an external system which a File Sender adapter picks up from the PI file system. I already added the PayLoadZipBean Module to unzip the file in order to be able to map the payload. It works fine.
    Now in the tab "Processing" --> "Processing Mode" I have the option to choose "Archive" and give a path. That way I can archive them also on the PI file system.
    But how could I choose an FTP location here? Can I or would I have to write an adapter module?
    In case for an adapter module how do I access the incoming ZIP file? Any ideas?
    Thank you for any help and best regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    I'm afraid you are not fully right about the archiving. Choosing Processing Mode = Archive leads to the file being moved to a different directory once it is processed. According to SAP Help:
    Processing Mode
    ○       Archive
    Files that have been successfully processed are moved to an archive directory.
    ■       To add a time stamp to a file name, select the Add Time Stamp indicator.
    The time stamp has the format yyyMMdd-hhMMss-SSS. The time stamp ensures that the archived files are not overwritten and it enables you to sort them according to the time that they were received.
    ■       Under Archive Directory, enter the name of the archive directory.
    ■       If you want to archive the files on the FTP server, set the Archive Files on FTP Server indicator. If you do not set the indicator, the files are archived in the Adapter Engine file system.
    See here for further details:

  • Archiving object in ECC

    hi gurus,
    need some procedure help in identifying archiving object in ECC system.
    i would like to what exactly do we look in TAANA and DB15 ,after sorting the largest and fast growing DB tables .
    TAANA basically shows the records and table entries. DB15 shows the relation between the table and archiving object.
    i need some inputs in identifying the right archiving object using these tools. I went through standard guides but I'm not getting a clarity.
    please assist

    Hello,
    For identifying the archiving object for respectable you can use DB15 transaction. Note that you should have some idea in archiving area so that is will be easier to conclude on archiving object.
    Your understanding on display of archived data is wrong.
    Archive data are stored in archive file non-readable format, while display SAP convert the data into readable format to user.
    This will not reload the data into tables while reading the archive data.
    Archive information system is very well build, it is easy to handle with business requirement on views & managing archive index table, so i would suggest to make use of archive information system to display from archive.
    Hope it will give some lights on display of archived data.
    -Thanks,
    Ajay

  • Archiving the File in the same source folder

    Hi EveryBody,
    I have a file to file scenario.
    Scenario Description :
    I have 10 source folders and one Communication channel.I am picking the files from different source folders (with .txt extension) using the option Advance Selection for Source File in the CC.
    I am able to pick the files,do the Content Conversion and process them.
    Now i want to archive these files in the same source folder from where i pick.The Archive Filename will be same as the Source Filename with the extension changed to .eof (for example if i have a file in folder X with the name input.txt then it shld be picked and archived in the same folder X with the name input.eof).
    Can somebody help me out on this?
    How can i do this?
    Is there any option to do such type of archiving for any number of folders using a single Communication channel?
    Adapter Module is one of the option but is there any other option?
    If Adapter module is one of the option , can somebody expain me the Module execution flow for the sender file adapter , that is whether custome model will execute first or standard module is executed before that.
    Helpful answers will be rewarded with points.
    Thanks,
    Zabiulla

    Hi
    While configuring your communcitation channel, in the processing tab --> processing mode,you need to select the archive mode and then specify the path as to where you want to post it, in your case it will be the same path as to your source path, give the same path and specify the name of the file as to what name you want to archive
    Hope this clears your doubt
    Thanks

  • Use of "Archive Source Files with Errors" for BIC module error

    Hi All,
    I have Edi file to Idoc scenario , where i am using SEEBURGER BICXIADAPTER.MODULE.
    My question is if the input file caught in error with BIC Module e.g
    "MP: exception caught with cause Error in BICMODULE-module:Temporary error: BIC XI Adapter call failed. Reason: SegmentDescription: checkAndResetChildrenCounter() not enough repetitions of the segment UNH found: 0 instead of 1 offset :80 DESCRIPTION: SegmentDescription Warning: Not enough repetitions of the segment UNH ([not specified]/[not specified])."
    can we move these errornous files to another directory using Processing parameter  "Archive Source Files with Errors" available with Sender File Adapter?
    In File Adpater my Module tab looks like :
    1     localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean     Local Enterprise Bean     bic
    2     localejbs/CallSapAdapter     Local Enterprise Bean     0
    In my scenario  , its not working..  do we have any other option to achive this?

    Hi Jyoti,
    I had a raised a similar case with SAP and came to know that archiving only works if the error raised by the module is so called "Permanent". However, bic doesn't raise permanent error due to which archiving of error files won't be possible. Seeburger haven't came up with a solution yet.

  • How to dislay images stored in R/3 as archive objects

    Dear All,
                 In my view I need to show photos,which are actually uploded into R/3 through archive objects.I have used FM:<b>SCMS_DOC_URL_READ</b> to get the URL, as this is not a http url the image UI element is not render .
    so pls help me in solving this.
    Thanks,
    Sethu

    Hi
    This problem can be solved if you can save your images in MIME repository.
    Open your dynpro component in SE80.
    from context menu of componentcontroller, go to CREATE-->MIME object
    -->Create
    On shared tab enter name and description and click on the button next to field "MIME TYPE" . Select GIF graphic option. now 1 folder with the name of your dynpro component is being created in MIME reposiroty
    start transaction SE80 and press the button  "MIME repository" on top left corner.
    navigate to    SAP &#8594; BC &#8594;WebDynpro &#8594; SAP and look for the folder with the name of your dynpro component.
    Right click on folder and choose "import MIME object" and select the image you want to display.
    create a view element in your dynpro component of type "TRAY"
    Inside it create a view element of type "IMAGE". From property section of IAMGE view element, open the drop down for source.
    Select tab "Component images" and select your dynpro component from drop down.
    Execute the application to test it.

  • How to delete archive log files from ASM through Grid Control

    Hi
    Anybody suggest me how to delete archive log files from ASM through Grid Control.
    Thanks

    It is important to specify both, the oracle version and os version when posting, so confusions can be avoided.
    In this particular case, since you are referring to asm and grid control you could be talking about either 10gR1, 10gR2 or 11gR1; but I strongly suggest you to avoid us to be guessing. In either case, you sould go to the maintenance tab of the target database and program a scheduled 'delete noprompt obsolete;' procedure. This will purge the information stored at the Flash recovery area, which I assume you have declared inside the ASM.

  • Regarding Archiving Object

    Hello Experts,
    I have few questions about Archiving object:
    1. How to create an archiving object for set of Z tables? shall i create a new archiving object by clicking on new entry or shall i copy an existing archiving object.
    2.is there any restrictions on number of tables being used in an archiving object? in our scenario there are around 15 Z tables...
    3. in T code AOBJ, i want to maintain customizing settings, but the screen is greyed out,which authorzation role will give me the access to this screen.
    4.what are the retrieval methods avaialable in system???
    5.in our scenario we have created a new archivie info structure,shall we use standard field catalog or need to create a new one???
    awaiting your reply

    hi
    ans 4 :
    you should call 4 function modules in sequence to retrive the archived data from archiving files to your report program.
    see the below sample code:
    data declaration
    data: handle                 like sy-tabix,
          buffer                 type arc_buffer,
          sbook_wa               like sbook,
          number_of_records_read type i.
    open existing archive files
    call function 'ARCHIVE_OPEN_FOR_READ'
         exporting
              object         = 'BC_SBOOK01'
         importing
              archive_handle = handle
         exceptions
              others         = 1.
    if sy-subrc <> 0.
      write: / 'No file can be accessed'(001).
      stop.
    endif.
    clear number_of_records_read.
    loop to get the next data object from the archive file(s)
    do.
      call function 'ARCHIVE_GET_NEXT_OBJECT'
           exporting
                archive_handle = handle
           exceptions
                end_of_file    = 1
                others         = 2.
      if sy-subrc <> 0.
        exit.
      endif.
    get data records from the data container
      do.
        call function 'ARCHIVE_GET_NEXT_RECORD'
             exporting
                  archive_handle   = handle
             importing
                  record           = buffer-segment
                  record_structure = buffer-rname
             exceptions
                  end_of_object    = 1
                  others           = 2.
        if sy-subrc <> 0.
          exit.
        endif.
        add 1 to number_of_records_read.
      enddo.
    enddo.
    write: / 'Total number of records read: '(002), number_of_records_read.
    skip.
    write / 'Last record read: '(003).
    skip.
    case buffer-rname.
      when 'SBOOK'.
        sbook_wa = buffer-segment.
        write: / 'CARRID    :', sbook_wa-carrid,
               / 'BOOKID    :', sbook_wa-bookid,
               / 'CONNID    :', sbook_wa-connid,
               / 'FLDATE    :', sbook_wa-fldate,
               / 'CUSTOMID  :', sbook_wa-customid,
               / 'ORDER_DATE:', sbook_wa-order_date,
    when ...
    If the archive object contained more than one table
    (different buffer-rname), more cases would be needed.
    endcase.
    close the archive session
    call function 'ARCHIVE_CLOSE_FILE'
         exporting
              archive_handle = handle.
    ans 5:
    you can either use standard field catalog, from the available field in field catalog you can select the required fields alone to your info structure.
    regards
    mano

  • Archiving object

    Hi all,
    How do i know, how many records archived in the archive object. Where can i check the archiving file path? i can able to see the individual table records

    Hello,
    The spool file of the archive write job will contain how many records per table were archived.  If you no longer have the spool file, you will only be able to get the number  of header records archived by going into the Management data and adding up the number of objects per archive file.
    To check the archiving file path, go to the customizing information of the archive object.  Select the Technical Settings under the Archiving Object-Specific Customizing section.  This will show you the logical file name.  This information is also in the AOBJ information.  From there, you would go to transaction FILE.  Find the logical file name and see what logical path is associated with it.  The logical file path definition will contain the actual path.
    Hope this helps.
