Archiving orders in CSC which are older than 6 months.

Hi All - We are trying to implement this as we are facing lot of performance issues in PRODUCTION CSC. Anybody who knows, what configuration can control indexing date wise and delete orders indexed, older than 6 months?

Interesting. I changed them all to 720 and expired.sites to 50000 just for the heck of it.
Now how to import my old history back in. I have FEBE and and old backuup from March 2010. It has history back to 10.2009 in it's places.sqlite. I have also exported that history as history.json.
After creating dummy FF profiles and dummy xmarks accounts, then disabling Firefox sync:
I have tried having FEBE restore that history. It does not merge the two, it only replaces.
I tried having Xmarks sync my current history with that history. So far it seems to only delete most of the old history and insert the new. Now that I have changed the history values we spoke of in about:config I might try this approach again. I actually don't know what the Xmarks history limits are yet because the feature is very new. (Little nervous)
I also have Firefox Sync to mess around with but not sure if I trust it since it doesn't have an overwrite or restore option.
Any other ideas?

  • Why can i not see items on ical on my iphone that are older than 6 months ago?

I am not able to see entries on my iphone ical that are older than 6 months.  am i do something wrong?

I could be wrong but I dont believe Itunes supports restoring your music from your ipod to a new PC, if you sync from the new pc you will likely lose the music on your ipod. If you search the internet there are third party software programs which will help you retrieve your music from your ipod if it is the only copy you now have. If the music was purchased from itunes you will be able to download it again.
    Hope this helps

  • Mail sent older than one month and half deleted

    Hello,
all the message older than one month and a half I have sent have have been deleted or are not displayed either on my MacBook Air with the e-mail application or with Safari connecting me directly with my account on ICloud web site.
By side, the message I have put in archive folder or that are in my inbox are still there even if they are older than one month and a half.
Do you have any idea to solve this issue ?
    Thank you very much.

Check your sent folder settings at mail > preferences > accounts > iCloud > mailbox behaviours.

  • How to import photos older than 18 months from ipad

How do I import Photos from my ipad to my computer that are older than 18 months old?

    Hi Terence,
    thanks for your reply.
i've scrolled, oh i've scrolled, I've gone through every individual picture that is displayed in the photos option, and through the events option and while it's true there are photos past 18 months, there are lots of photos that used to be in my iPhoto library that are now missing in action.
I also tried the Smart Albums, thanks for the suggestion, and nothing came up that was older than 2009.  I definitely have photos older than that and desperately need them.  Thoughts?

  • Deleting backups older than a month

    Hi all,
I'm trying to delete backups that are older than a month. I've performed the following steps.
    1. Click on time machine
    2. Navigate to a month ago
    3. Navigate to "Macintosh HD" and select all items
    4. Click on the gears the "Delete all backups .."
This delete all backups, even my current ones. How can I delete just "old" versions from a snapshot in time (say x) back to the beginning of backups and keep everything with time > x?
    Thanks,
    Todd

+That won't screw up the database will it?+
Probably. Time Machine uses hard links to keep track of its previously backed up files. You can read how Time Machine uses hard links in this Ars Technica review.
    http://arstechnica.com/reviews/os/mac-os-x-10-5.ars/14
To make sure you keep the hard links intact launch the Time Machine browser from the dock. Click on your hard drive in the sidebar. Don't select any folders or files in the window. Use the white ladder lines on the right to navigate to the backup you wish to delete. Click on the button with the gear and select Delete Backup.

  • HT2376 How do i retrieve a lost key code for Pro if it is older than 18 months ? which is the longest you can look at on the orders history page.

I Upgraded to quicktime pro years ago on my pc , then when i got a mac i purchased another copy for mac. I ve now gone back to pc and want to retrieve my old key code. The check your order history only goes back 18 months and i think i got mine about 4 years ago . Any advice ? or do i need to buy another copy . Cheers

Regardless of what any of us think, the fact is that Apple no longer provides lookup of orders older than 18 months. Why they chose this none of us here can say, but that's what they have decided. So it's no longer possible to look up a QuickTime key purchased more than 18 months ago. If the user failed to keep a copy of the email or otherwise record the key, as Apple themselves advise, then a new QT Pro key will be required.
    Regards.

  • I just upgraded to 10.9.  My exchange email won't load emails that are older than a few weeks old.  How do I change this setting so I can see all my mail?

I just upgraded to 10.9.  My exchange email won't load emails that are older than a few weeks old.  How do I change this setting so I can see all my mail?

    Plett81,
I'm having the exact same problem. It does not seem to be a settings issue but rather some sort of "problem" with mac mail. My Exchange provider was able to setup my mailbox on a test machine running Mavericks and everything pulled in fine, however I cannot duplicate on my upgraded system.
I was able to get rebuild my mailbox and get the older messages within my Exchange inbox, however none of my folders and old messages outside of the Inbox are downloading/synching.
**NOTE** I contacted Apple SUpport and they told me to call my email provider. I called my email provider which did as described above and they don't see a problem. SO as suspected it has something to do with the Mavericks update but I'm not sure Apple is willing to help. I might try contacting them one more time and see.

  • Recently tried to upload photos on my iPad to the iCloud PL beta and in the process it removed all the photos from my device through the photo stream. No CPU backup of photos, photos are older than 30days. Any third party recovery software I can use?

Recently tried to upload photos on my iPad to the iCloud PL beta and in the process it removed all the photos from my device through the photo stream. No CPU backup of photos, photos are older than 30days. What can I do?

First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.
    What computer do you have?

  • Why is my macbook DVD player no longer playing commercial DVD's that it used to play perfectly? It reads the disc, but then says not permitted when I hit play. It is much older than 12 months warantee so I hope there is an easy fix?

The macbook reads a disc, and opens up DVD player but then says not permitted when I hit play, or any other button. Sometimes the initial music plays, but the screen remains black and then it all stops. These are shop bought DVD's that have previously worked on here, and work in DVD players, but have suddenly stopped. The computer is much older than the12 months warantee so I hope there is an easy fix? Thankyou!

    Three things you can try:
    1. Clean the superdrive with a proprietory CD/DVD lens cleaner that uses tiny brushes.
    2. Perform an SMC reset:
Resetting the SMC (System Management Controller) on Intel-based Macs:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964  and

If you are using a Wireless Keyboard:

    3. Try the free DVD player VLC:

which performs better than the built-in DVD Player.

  • KEEP events older than 1 month

I fear I may be one of the more unusual iCal/iSync users in that I need to retain ALL prior events in my calendar when syncing with my Sony Ericsson W850i. I appear to only have 4 options in iSync - none of which allow me to keep events older than 1 month. Does anyone have a workaround for this? ...or am I just being stupid?

Thanks for your response Julian - it might not be the answer I wanted but I appreciate your time and information. My life isn't that exciting so it actually isn't a huge amount of data that needs syncing - there are just key dates that I sometimes need to have handy when I'm out and about. I've been syncing the lot with Sony Ericsson's latest PC Suite which is surprisingly quite good but sadly isn't available for Mac (I am brand spanking new to the world of the Mac and mostly enjoying it enormously !!). I think what I was hoping is that someone would have one of those cheeky Terminal commands that 'simply' amends that specific criteria... ah well. Perhaps I can ask another quick one - if I do sync with iSync I take it that iCal will retain all my older events regardless of what gets synced to the mobile?

  • How can I set up a rule to delete all messages older than 6 months left in Apple Mail's main inbox?

How can I set up a rule to delete all messages older than 6 months left in Apple Mail's main inbox?
I have created other rules to move some of my daily messages into specific folders and I don't wish to auto-delete those.
Just the general stuff that keeps piling up in my me.com main email box.  Mail such as FB announcements and other low priority stuff I want to look at before deleting but don't want to keep longer than a week or month.
    TIA
    thokitts

Thanks, but I am looking for a more automated solution than hand marking emails as junk. I might as well move them to the trash myself.
Again, these are emails I want to receive and quickly read, but not keep longer than a week or month or so. By setting a rule to toss any older than 30 days back then my Mail program (and thus my hard drive) won't be wasting so much space. For example, currently I have over 6000 read messages, with their attachments, in my main email box. I'd rather not have to physically attend to sorting the one I don't want out.
The one I do keep for other reasons get moved into other folders.
It seems this should be possible.

  • How to sync calendar data older than 1 month?

How to sync data from calendar older than 1 month? (from computer to phone) Impossible to get my data from beginning of november on calendar on Iphone. What did I miss?

If you are syncing calendar events direct with Outlook via the iTunes sync process, there is a setting for this under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes below the sync calendars section.

  • When creating a photo book, how can one import photos older than 12 months?

I am trying to create a photo book (I'm using iPhoto 11).  For my project, I'm trying to access photos older than 12 months, but that is not an option in the photo library at the right of the screen.
I have tried to click and drag the old photos into my project event.  They show up fine in "photos" but do not show up in the photo library!
I have also found that photos downloaded from a CD do not show up in the photo library either.
    Anyone have any thoughts?

You can not - they are soreted by date
--  the only solution I have seen is to put them in an album sorted the way you and and then use the batch cnage command to redate them with a small invrement between so a data sort matches your desired sort  --  I personally do not want to redate a bunch of my photos nor do i want  to have to go through and un-re- date a bunch
suggest a change to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback

  • HT3275 I've 1.85TB empty space on my time Machine, but it only backs up to the beginning of the previous month. it should have weekly back-ups for every month before that. Any ideas why it deletes stuff older than a month?

I've 1.85TB empty space on my Time Machine, but it only retains back-ups to the beginning of the previous month. I should be able to access weekly back-ups for every month before that until the disk is full. Any ideas why it deletes stuff older than a month?
    Thanks, Rigby.

If you are using Ethernet to connect your Mac to the Time Capsule, are you allowing at least 2-3 minutes for Time Machine to fully load when you open the application to see your backups?
If you are using wireless to connect, you may need to allow 8-10 minutes or longer for everything to fully load, depending on the speed of your wireless connection.
If you see only white time "bars" on the timeline at the right of the screen, you are seeing temporary backups. Permanent backups are displayed with purple "bars".

  • All photos older than one month have disappeared!

I opened iPhoto yesterday and discovered that all my photos older than one month have simply vanished from the library as well all my many folders that I had organized them into. I got a message saying that my folders were being synched, or something like that, so I waited several hours, but the photos and folders never came back.
I had over 3,000 photos, including many that were scanned in, collected over a number of years, and had gone through many of them marking "faces" and "places." I have most of them elsewhere, although not organized as I had them in iPhoto. Has anyone encountered this before? Are they really gone or are they hiding somewhere?

The best fix is to restore from your back up.
    Other than that:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
