Archiving - Permission denied - cannot be open write program

Hi, Gurus
I executed a write program (SARA) and the result is partialy ok , as you can see below ( the job log and spool.)
Questions:
1.- there is not an archive file in C?
2.- Permission denied --> Message BA161
I checked object config,file and logical path and everything seems tobe ok.
Anyone cant help on this?

Dear,
Either the file deleted from its physical location on drive C [OR] you dont have authorizations to write into the file (check with SU53 for any missing object for the user).

Cannot Open Mail Window. Cannot Exit Open Mail Program

I cannot access any of my mail folders. (Leopard; Mail version 3.4) The Mail program apparently opens but only to a blank screen. I can only exit Mail by using "Force Quit". This happened with no warning and after no obvious event. Can anyone walk me through a solution. Can I reinstall Mail without wiping my hard drive? Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions.
Both Safari and Address Book both work properly.
I used disk utility to repair permissions but that had no effect.
I downloaded and installed Thunderbird but it could not "see" the Mail program to import my mail folders.
I then did as you suggested and set up a second mail account -my wife's- on Mail. After rebooting Mail opened normally showing both mail accounts. It works!
The only explanation for the problem I can think of is that before losing access to Mail I had downloaded and installed Apple's new MobileMe software. I read today that this has been creating email problems for subscribers, although I had not subscribed.
Apart from curiousity over exactly what caused the problem, my only outstanding question is whether deleting the new mail account might reintroduce the problem. I don't really want access to my wife's email account.

Hello, I received an email from a company I know including this line: "Please click here to complete a survey about your Pick Up in a Store Experience". The webpage In Safari v.7.1 (9537.85.10.17.1) says: "Company Name; Permission Denied; Cannot access web page from this interface". I also tried the link in Firefox & Chrome with the same result. I would like to answer the survey. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be? Thanks so much.

login using admin user or the user which is used to install OIM.
or provide execute permission to the file like below
chmod 777 /app/fusion/fmw/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/config.sh

Archive file cannot be opened for write program

I am getting the error message "annot be opened for write program" in log view, when I am trying to write data into archive file using "write' function.
Please provide us the solution for this problem.

It sounds like an issue of trying to run XI on VISTA. That combination does not work. Info on both the Acrobat full version (including sub-version) and OS would help. It might also be an issue of running 11.0.0 on a system that needs the updates to work.

Startx: xf86OpenConsole: Cannot Open /dev/tty0 (Permission Denied)

running startx as normal user gives me the following error:
xf86OpenConsole: Cannot Open /dev/tty0 (Permission Denied)
it seems to run ok as root... but I obviously don't want to be doing that all the time. I guess that means its a permission issue, but what, where, when and how?
I searched the forums and found one article from last year with similar errors after an updated Xorg package, apparently that was fixed and it gave me no insight as to how to manually fix this error.
I'm just starting with Arch and its my first 'advanced' distro (been mostly running ubuntu up until now)... hence, I've never had to set up Xorg etc before.

I've already tried adding the group 'users' to /dev/tty0 but when I restart it just goes back to 'root'

I'm using Acrobat Reader version 7.0. It refused to open pdf files on my computer. The error message that was returned is There was an error opening this document. Permission denied. I own the files, with read (and write) permissions, and acroread is running with my user id.
I have tried deleting and re-installing the program, with no luck.
Any ideas, please?

Try below steps
Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad
It will open Go to folder window, type exactly ~/Library and click on Go ( make sure to opeb ~/Library not /Library, there will two library )
Then open Application Support
Right click on Adobe folder
Click on get info
Under sharing and permission click on lock icon and unlock it
Click on symbol and Add Administrator and your current user name ( if not added )
Then give read and write permission to user name, admin, system and every one
Then click on Gear icon and select 'Apply to Enclosed
Click on lock icon
Try to install Creative Cloud App.

Cannot make folder /cookies: Permission denied (error 13)

I can not successfully install the Creative Cloud Installer. I continually get
Error Starting Creative Cloud
cookies dir: cannot make folder /cookies: Permission denied (error 13)
I have tried verifying disk permissions using the disk utility on my macpro retina. This is a brand new computer (less than a week). I've also tried changing cookies permissions to allow for third party cookies.
I don't know what the problem is.

I had this same irritating problem. Thanks to this forum and some helpful instructions from Adobe Customer Support online I have been able to sort it out. For those who've read this far down the thread, here are the instructions from Adobe, which worked a treat - and also cured a problem I was having with Adobe Reader XI for Mac (internal error message meaning I couldn't use Reader and none of my pdfs would open with Preview either!)
1. Please Open Finder and click on Applications on left hand side of Finder window.
2. Navigate　to Applications->Utilities ->Adobe Installers. Double click on Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud and follow the onscreen instructions.
3. Delete Adobe Application Manager folder from Applications/Utilities.
4. Open Finder. Click on Go in Finder menu and choose Go to Folder. Type /Library/Application Support/Adobe in Go to folder and press return key. You will have Adobe folder open in Finder.
5. Delete AdobeApplicationManager and OOBE folder.
6. Click on Go in Finder menu and choose Go to Folder again. Type ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe in Go to folder and press return key.
7. Delete AAMUpdater and OOBE folder from Adobe.
8. Click on Go in Finder menu and choose Go to Folder again. Type ~/Library/Application Support and press return key.
9. Right click on Adobe folder and choose Get Info.
10. Click the lock icon at bottom of Get Info window to unlock it, then enter an administrator’s name and password.
11. Click on + icon and choose select all users on pop up and window and choose Select.
12. Change the permissions　for all Users to Read and Write.
13. Choose "Apply to enclosed items" from the Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear).
14. Try installing the Creative Cloud Desktop application from below link.

Cannot create file "/Applications/ " Permission denied.

When installing new software Iget the following error message: "Cannot create file "/Applications/ ". Permission denied. I have used disk utilities to try to repair my permissions with no sucsess. I have also tried reinstaling the software. Any advise is appreciated.

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

Executing window.opener.FunName from Web IC pop-up = Permission Denied

Hello,
I have modified a copy of the BuPaCreate view and controller. When the user hits save, I open a child window to perform some validation using an external system. I want to write the corrected values back to the form on the BuPaCreate view and then submit the form. I created a JavaScript function within BuPaCreate to do this. I'm running into problems when I try to execute this function from the pop-up window.   It is giving a permission denied error. I made certain my domain and server names are the same.
Has anyone else been able to execute a function within a Web IC view in this manner before? Is there an alternate method for returning the corrected values.

Unzipping an archive file-permission denied

Each time I try to unzip (with the system "Archive Utility") a file in an external drive i get an error message. "operation can not be opened, permission denied"
I have just repaired permissions and verified in my SYS HDD without success.
Any ideas here?

I did drag the .zip file from the portable drive to my desktop and looked at permissions in the info window. I am the admin and owner of the file as shown. Tried again to open the .zip file and again the same error message. I then "repaired permissions" throiugh the disk utility and had the same results. This is true for a copy of the file on another drive that i also tried to open. Same error message.
Other .zip files open fine with the archive utility, its just these two that will not open,

Hello,
I've updated my server with 10.4.11 (from 10.4.10) and now when i look at the system log from Server Admin i see a lot of :
"natd[210]: failed to write packet back (Permission denied)"
The server is running all the basic network services and it's an OD master.
Could somebody tell me what's going on with my server ?
