Archiving the Inactive Controls in Process Control 3.0

Hi ,
Is there any specific functionality for archiving internal controls in process control 3.0
With Best Regards
Mamatha.B

Dear Mamatha, you delimit the validity of the control and if you are prsonalized in a time frame where the control was completely valid you see the control. If you are personalized to a timeframe where the control is no longer valid it is not visible.
That way the control is archived in Process Control.
Kind regards,
Jürgen

• Inactive Controls in IE

Is there an easy way to use Dreamweaver to automatically
activate controls on FLASH elements in websites when using Internet
Explorer? They activate automatically in Firefox, but not in
IE.

Thanks for your inputs.
I apologies i didnt specify my Question in brief.
We need to archive the Inactive controls , because they are more in numbers and every time a business user generates a standard reports , these inactive control details have been pulled up  and performance is lowered.
Our client does want to delete the inactive controls , they want to archive it in a efficient way without hindering the overall performance of the system.
Is there any specific funstionality in the new tool PC 3.0

• How to timeout (shutdown) inactive ifweb90.exe process

Hello,
I inherited an application that use Oracle Forms and Reports 9.0.4.1.0 installed on a Win2003 Server.
The issue is that the application doesn't close the process ifweb90.exe when the user close the IE window without use the exit function, we are thinking to do the following changes in order to timeout the application after 30 minuts inactive:
- Modify the application environment file in e:\oracle\appserver\forms90\server\myapp_american_america.env
Set the parameter FORMS90_TIMEOUT=30
- Modify the application configuration file in e:\oracle\appserver\forms90\server\myapp_formsweb.cfg
Set the parameter heartbeat=31
- Modify the application configuration file in E:\oracle\appserver\j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications\forms90app\forms90web\WEB-INF
Set <session-timeout>30</session-timeout>
After those changes we will restart the server.
Questions:
1.- That are all the needed steps to do in order to kill the inactive ifweb90.exe process?
2.- This changes will provoque any performance degradation?
3.- This changes will provoque any system issue?
Hope you can help me here guys, regards.

Cristian, I am not familiar with 10gR1 but I have worked with 10gR2/11g and if things work similarly I can tell you that we trained our users to close the application with the exit button rather than closing the browser, on top of that, we implemented some JavaScript code in the base template HTML pages that alerts the user in the event they try to close the browser while the application is running ... it is like a popup, with OK and Cancel buttons, if they press OK then the browser is closed and at their own risk the Forms runtime still remains in the application server and their sessions on the database, they aware what this can cause.
Also, when they press the exit button, we put some code so that Forms also tries to close the browser window and the same popup is displayed, obviously at this time they know they want to exit and OK the message which just closes the browser.
We did not change any settings as you have done in your environment and we do not get any network errors, I personally think you should revert your changes and tackle the problem from the root... modify the template html to add similar code like we did and train your users as well...

• How to manage the Credit Control for Customer Consignment Process?

Hi All,
Could anyone tell me how to manage the Credit Control for Customer Consignment Process?
Thanks

Hi, there is not standard solution, we did customized process for consignment credit block , check below
1. defined status profile - with lock/auto/approved/rejected and new t.code for approval or rejected.
2. maintained consignment credit limit in Z table
3. logic for detemining status written in sales order save userexit.
4. while calcualting the values, system need to check open sonsignment order of customer/ open deliveries/ stocks at customer place MSKU table. and calculate value with MBEW/KONV ect.
5. if value is less than Z table then status AUTO, which do not need release, if value is greater than Z table put status LOCK means credit block need to release from new T.code.
Hope you get some idea

• InvalidUrlRuntimeException using the LinkToUrl-Control

Hello,
I have built a view containing a LinkToUrl control. The control is being filled with an URL that points to a document in an archive system for documents. The given Link is only valid for one hour starting at the the time of its creation.
My problem is, that once I reach the view with the link controls filled properly, a InvalidUrlRuntimeException is thrown and the whole thing blows up. Obviously the link control checks the URL before it is desplayed and fires the exception in case the URL is not valid. The strange thing is that the URL IS valid. I can put it into a browser window and I am receiving a file as a result.
Is there any way to avoid that url validation?
The control itself doesn't provide any property that has something to do with this validation. As far as I know the validation process isn't even mentioned in the docs.

Fortunately one of my colleagues was so kind to hunt down the problem.
The reason for the exception is an internal routine, that checks the validity of the given URL. This function is not mentioned anywhere in the "normal" docs, so it is hard to find out what causes the crash.
In my case the problem was a blankspace in the URL. The URL-checker dosn't accept blankspaces - they have to be coded as '%20'. (Just as defined in the related RFCs :).) I don't know exactly what criterias the check is based on in detail - that might be interesting. I was told that Javascript is one thing the link is checked for but it might be more than that.

• "the activex control for flash player could not be registered" - Solutions Roundup

I recently ran into this problem on my computer:
http://at32.s3.amazonaws.com/flash_install_problems2.jpg
I am a Flash developer (as in I write SWFs, I don't work for Adobe).  and when I updated IE to 10.2, "the activex control for flash player could not be registered".  Since I am a developer, I also have Firefox and Chrome installed, with Flash running without problems.  For a long time now, Internet Explorer has used a different version (ActiveX) to the other browsers, which use plugins.  I am a strong supporter of Flash, it's great to develop with and has a very wide feature set which is growing all the time, unlike fixed technologies/standards.  However, the weakest part is the install process - I don't understand why their is a Download Manager.  Google Chrome does it's best (so far) by managing the install/update process entirely in the background.  Anyway, it was in my best interest to try and get to the bottom of this.
For the record, on the problem machine I have Windows 7 with IE8, but I have seen almost  identical symptoms with IE9, Windows XP SP3, as well as various  iterations of Flash Player (10.0, 10.1, 10.2 and even some final  editions of version 9).
First I tried the standard support here:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html
Basically, doing the manual uninstall and manual install of the latest version (without using the download manager, or have IE open).  This did not work.  I also tried the Microsoft "subinacl" program, together with "reset_fp10.bat".  This didn't work either.  However, you should try all of these things first before progressing further.
A quick note about people who had tried running the following at a command prompt: "secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose"
I didn't do this, because on investigating further it didn't seem to work with Windows 7, only Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 - though there was a few threads where this had fixed the problem for some users.
For my solution, it is recommended you use the manual uninstall / installers, so you should have them downloaded ready to use.
I then heard about problems with permissions in the registry with the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\shockwaveflash.shockwave
So I opened regedit.exe (start - run - typed "regedit.exe"), navigated to the key and sure enough, I couldn't open it - permission denied - even though I had an administrator account.  If for some reason, you can access this key (and any subkeys), then it's likely the following fix will not resolve the problem.
I then done further diagnosis, by using Process Monitor to try and install Flash Player, and I got the following:
http://at32.s3.amazonaws.com/flash_install_problems.gif
This shows all the access denied errors the Flash Player install was experiencing when trying to write to the registry key.  This confirmed that this was the problem.  I only stress this because several people said it was unwise to tinker with the registry.  Though this is common advice, this is the only known fix for this precise problem at present, since you need to manually adjust the permissions yourself.  I don't know who is at fault here - Microsoft or Adobe - but let's just get Flash fixed...
The solution:
Firstly, you may want to backup your registry, or the exact key.  I didn't do this so I've provided no instructions on how to, but it is recommended for the paranoid.  Also make sure as much software is closed down as possible - browsers, IM software, any junk in your system tray. As way of example, I happened to have "BBC iPlayer" installed and running in the background which uses Adobe AIR and Flash Player, so I exited that too.
1) Open regedit (start - run - type "regedit.exe").  You may need to right click on it and select "Run As Administrator", but I didn't as my account was already administrator.
2) Navigate to the key. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\shockwaveflash.shockwave
Click on it to confirm that you cannot access it (you will get an error) - if their are no problems - this probably isn't the cause of your issues.
3) Right click on it and click Permissions, and ignore any message that may pop up.
4) Under "Group or Usernames" click "Add".  Type your account name name, or "Administrators" in the box, then "Check Names" to format it correctly, then Ok.
5) Now on the next screen click the checkbox to enable Full Control (this will also automatically enable "Read" permission too).
6) Click Advanced, then the "Owner" tab at the top.  You will see that their is no "Current Owner".  This is what we will now fix.
7) Click on your name to change the owner to (I went for Administrators).  Also enable the checkbox entitled "Replace Owner on subcontainers and objects".  Then click Ok.  You will get an error message, which you can try clicking Retry to, but hit Cancel - this is not a problem.
8) Click Ok a couple of times and this part of your registry is now fixed.
9) Now it's a simple case of running the manual Flash uninstall program, then finally the manual Flash installer (for Active X - not the Firefox/Chrome plugin versions).  To my surprise, after a couple of days looking into this - I finally had a solution and Flash in IE once more.  If you are using Firefox too you may find Flash is no longer installed their (the uninstaller removed it).  In this case just install via the Adobe site or try to watch a video on You Tube and you will be prompted or linked to the install.
Hope this provides a good round up of the possible solutions to this problem.  Hopefully Microsoft or Adobe can find out what causes this issue in the first place so we don't have to go down this route for much longer.  Chrome's implementation of Flash shows how effortlessly things can work!

They will stay on the screen.  However, Process Monitor is only intended for advanced users.  It is recommended that users try to navigate to the troublesome registry key using regedit, and see if they can access it or not without an error.  This is far easier than trying to use Process Monitor, which is very complicated.
I used Process Monitor to confirm that it was just that key which was causing the problem, and not others.  Process Monitor is not to be confused with the new Resource Monitor which is accessible via Task Manager in Windows 7 (and possibly Vista).  If you must experiment (and Process Monitor is very useful for diagnosing many deep-level problems if you know what you're looking for) Process Monitor can be downloaded from here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645
It replaces the older Sysinternals "FileMon" and "RegMon".  For those interested in the technical side, I had to setup a number of filters to be able to get the results display as in the screenshot.  First of all to just show Registry events.  Then to just show events from the manual Flash activeX installer executable.  The I added a filter to show only non-successfull results.  And finally, for the purposes of the screenshot, added a filter to just show those with "Access Denied", since other non-critical errors are also picked up due to missing keys because installation has not yet been fully completed I guess.   When experimenting, most of these filters were applied using the "is not" boolean logic, which will make sense if you experiment with the program.
Without adding any filters, it picks up so many events (hundreds per second) that it's otherwise unusable.  e.g. 40,000 events within the first few seconds of opening the program. For this reason, I recommend simply using Regedit to diagnose the problem with the particular Flash registry key.

• Keystation Pro 88 (or other controller) as the Logic Control

Has anybody got their setup like this? I've been trying to get this to work for the past 6 hours and no luck. Can someone please help me? Just bought Studio 2 days ago and haven't touched it yet cuz I can't get the keyboard to fully work.

I'm sure some of you already know how to do this. I just figured I'd write this up at some point to share with others. The basic idea is to use the Keystaion Pro 88 (or some other MIDI Controller) as an actual Control Surface, or in this case the Logic Control, to have more freedom with the MIDI Controller, i.e. using the group of 8 faders (on the Keystation) to control Volume for tracks 1-8 in the arrange window, and then hitting Bank Right to automatically control tracks 9-16, and as a result making a universal controller not bound by specific channel messages, or MIDI CC Volume messages etc... in short the essence of any Control Surface.
What I'm describing below is what this app will also do: http://www.opuslocus.com/lcxmu/index.php
I basically just wanted to avoid using a separate application all together. Keep in mind that the app does simplify the whole process, but Logic inherently can do pretty much everything the app does.
I recommend reading this in its entirety before attempting.
KeyStation Pro 88 as Logic Control
Part One: Add Logic Control as Control Surface
1. Open Logic.
2. Preferences / Control Surfaces / Setup...
3. New / Install / Select your preferred device (in my case Logic Control
4. Click the icon in the setup window for the Logic Control.
5. On the left hand side under "Logic Control" you should see an "Out Port:" and "Input:" ... select the desired MIDI in/out through which your device is connected.
6. Open Preferences / Control Surfaces / Controller Assignments. Make sure you select the "EXPERT VIEW" check box.
7. You should now see a bunch of different Zones in the Zone column, one of which is "Control Surface: Logic Control"
8. Create your own Zone, KeyStation Pro 88 (or whatever) using the Plus sign in the bottom left corner of the Controller Assignments window.
9. Now basically go through the existing parameters already available in the Logic Control Zones, Select what you want. You can select entire Modes or individual Controls / Parameters. You can select multiple values (only multiple Control / Parameters NOT modes) by selecting and dragging or simply with select and holding command.
10. Command-C the selected Modes and then click back onto you user zone that you created above.
11. Click inside the Mode column (or Control / Parameter column depending upon what you selected and copied from the Logic Control zones).
12. Command-V to paste the Modes into your user Zone.
13. Do this for as many Modes / Controls you want, that your specific MIDI controller interface will be able to handle.
Part Two: Assigning Input Values
1. Open Preferences / Control Surfaces / Controller Assignments
2. Now for each parameter that you copied, you will need to set the input MIDI value from your controller.
3. Click on your User Zone, then Mode, then the first parameter in the 3rd column.
4. You should see a "MIDI Input" option (this should already be set correctly as long as you set it earlier in Step 5 of Part One). If it's not set to the correct MIDI input (which I found to be the case sometimes even after Step 5), then change that here.
5. Next to "Value Change:" you will see a box with MIDI data in it. Delete the existing date by highlight and delete.
6. Activate "Learn Mode" (bottom right corner of Controller Assignments window) then click within the "Value Change" box, then move the corresponding fader, button etc. The "Value Change" should now show the MIDI data value for that fader. Be careful here, there should only be 3 groups of 2 for data here... if you see 2 groups, of 3 groups, of 2 then typically the FIRST group of 3 should be the value you want here. You can always delete the data, and move the fader again to be sure. The reason for the 2 groups of 3 is not in error: some buttons send TWO MIDI values, one on press and one on release. You can use this to your advantage and assign TWO different functions to these buttons, thus the first (press hold) value can do one thing and the second (release) value can do another. You can also change the MIDI controller to only send 1 message on press and nothing on release, or simply make sure that only the on value is present in the "Value Change" box.
7. You'll have to do this for all the different knobs / faders etc. on your MIDI controller. There are many shortcuts of course. You can manually type in the Values if you know them. For the Keystation Pro, M-Audio has an app called Enigma that I recommend for changing controller parameters and much more on the Keystation. You can use this app to assign all the actual control data that each button or fader sends to the sequencer, once you know the values you can convert that data to the MIDI data values and enter them into the Value Change box.
8. Once you're done assigning values to the controllers, you can delete all the Zones except for the user Zone you created earlier. Before you do this, it's a good idea to back up the Control Surface preference file just in case you ever want to grab something else from the Logic Control Zones. You could always add a second Logic Control and copy the Zone from that, but you'd have to reassign all the MIDI Input: values ... short version, just back up the preference file before you delete the Zones. The reason why you want to delete the Zones that you're not using is simply because if you have a controller that happens to send out MIDI data to the sequencer, and the actual Logic Control happens to have that MIDI data value already inherent it it's Zones, then you could be asking for trouble, simply put you'd be sending MIDI data to change Volume and the Logic Control maybe has that MIDI Data Value already assigned to Pan for the existing track.
The file to backup is located here: ~Users/username/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro.cs
As a precaution I have always backed up my Logic Preference file WITH this .cs file. Technically it's not necessary... for instance: Let's say you trash your preferences and open Logic to find that the Logic Control is missing from the Control Surfaces Setup. So you add it back and now you find out that Logic is missing the User Zone that you created. If you close Logic and copy the .cs file back to the directory above, then upon reopening Logic you should find your User Zone is in place again. But I've had mixed results with that, so just in case I copy over the preference file with the .cs file as a pair. It seems that the Logic pref file only contains information that the Logic Control is a Control Surface on your system and the .cs file is the preferences for that specific Surface.
Another note: after a recent Logic update, maybe 7.2? ... it was whichever update added support for more Control Surfaces, I can't remember. This update basically erased all the hours of hard work linking the Keystation to Logic as the Logic Control. This only happened with this specific Control Surface update, but not with 7.2.3, probably simply because they didn't make any changes to the .cs pref file.
Anyhow, when this happens again in the future, there seems to be a quick fix. I take NO responsibility for you somehow crashing Logic on a continual basis after applying the fix. Personally I have seen NO issues by doing this at all. I simply copied a version of the .cs file with the new update missing the Keystation Zone, as well as a version of the .cs file WITH the Keystation Zone, to a PC (I think it was a PC, don't believe I tried it with textedit, although should work as well). I opened both of the files in notepad and compared them. I noticed the word Keystation towards the bottom and realized that most all the data (gibberish) was exactly the same up until a point in which the file with the Keystation data had a group that was absent from the new .cs pref file from the new update. So I basically copied the data from the old .cs pref file, pasted it into the new .cs pref file, saved it and open Logic. Logic warned me that a pref file was corrupt or something of that nature, but loaded fine anyway, and the Keystation Zone was back in Controller Assignments.
One last thing... the problem that some of you may run into is that by making your MIDI controller a Control Surface, or turning your Keystation Pro into a Logic Control, limits some of the functionality of the MIDI Controller. For instance, a Logic Control's main purpose is to control different faders, knobs and what not of MANY different tracks. When you move a fader for volume on the Logic control, it will move the fader corresponding to the selected track... it's not programed to say change the actual midi CC 7 for Volume, only the actual Fader. Thus, what if you want the MOD wheel to still control modulation and you want the sustatin pedal to continue to act as a sustain pedal. Well, if Logic sees that Port 1 is the input for the Logic Control, but in reality the Keystation, then it's only going to allow specific events through. The way around this issue is by using both the input options that the Keystation has... hook the MIDI out into Logic and use the USB port as well. I run the Keystation as a Logic Control through the USB port, and use the MIDI out for actual MIDI data. But the catch is you have to make sure you only connect the MIDI Port into Logic's sequencer in the environment. Thus open the environment, open Clicks & Ports, Port 1 and Port 2 are the IN/OUT for the USB port. Midi Port is the Keystation's MIDI port. Select and delete the cable for the SUM, and run individual cables for the ports you want to use. Thus, all your other MIDI interface Ports, the Caps Lock keyboard etc. Just be sure that if your using Port 1 (USB Port Out from Keystation) for the fake Logic Control, that it DOES NOT cable into the "Input View" or "to Recording & Thru". This creates yet another issue:
The controls on the Keystation have to send SOME form of MIDI control message / data to Logic. Well if the faders on the Keystation are preset to send Ch1-9, Volume 0-127 messages, then when you move a fader on the Keystation (as the Logic Control) since the Keystation is still reaching the sequencer from the MIDI port, you will be sending MIDI values that can effect your current track possibly when you don't want to. The work around for this is to be sure that all the faders / knobs that you want to use as your fake Logic Control are sending useless MIDI data... i.e. CC 75, 76, 77, and so on. This way moving faders won't effect playback, although you could still in theory record this MIDI data into your sequencer. You could however filter this events from entering the sequencer input with a transformer since you know precisely what MIDI CC values you are changing. The easy way to assign these values is to use the program Enigma from M-Audio that I mentioned above.
More discussion specifically related to the Keystation Pro 88:
You can do a lot using the Controller Assignments and different Zones from the Logic Control. For instance, the real Logic Control has Solo, Mute, and Record buttons for the 8 faders. The Keystation Pro only has 1 button underneath each fader. But you could use one of the other buttons to toggle Solo, Mute, and Record mode so that depending on which mode your in, the buttons underneath each fader will correspond to Mute or Solo etc. By the way, a good setup from my experience is to use the first 8 faders of the Keystation as the track faders, and the final 9th fader for Master Volume. You can then set two of the buttons underneath the Knobs as Bank Left and Bank Right buttons to change the 8 fader tracks to correspond to the onscreen track groups of 8. Also don't forget that you can assign TWO functions to EACH button, since a button press can send a value of 127 and a button release can send a 00 value. So if you press and hold a button it can activate "Shift-select Mode" and until released it can make the buttons under the faders act as Volume to Zero resets or whatever you want. When you release the button it will go back to just Mute mode or Solo mode. The Controller Assignments window has MANY options, and parameters some of which are very confusing and take a lot of trial and error to understand... the manual helps a little but of course isn't perfect.

I'm thinking about buying a Keystation Pro 88 (2nd hand) so I was googling around and found this:
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/Oct04/articles/keystation.htm
I had some trouble getting the transport controls to work with Emagic's Logic, even when I loaded the 'Pro 88 Logic Preset.LSO' file on the supplied CD-ROM into Logic. I contacted the guys who designed and set up the Keystation here in the UK at the old Evolution offices, and between us we managed to work out what was going wrong. First of all, you need to enter the appropriate MIDI key commands in Logic's user preferences. These cannot be updated with an LSO file, so the commands have to be entered using the Learn Key function in Logic (see the screenshot below for the list we used). Then we discovered that the transport keys were toggling, which meant that only each second press of each key was actually working. It turned out that I had an early version of the Logic preset before this had been fixed, but the more recent one has been put on the M Audio web site for anyone else that needs it. It took about 30 seconds to change the output commands so that the buttons were no longer toggling.
Did you get it to work correctly eventually?

• How to find out the selected line in the table control

Hi Guys,
i have a requirement like this. i have table control and the internal table for that table control as IT_CASE. this internal table i declared as CHECKBX, MATNR, QUANTITY. but when i am enter the values in the table control i am getting the values in MATNR and QUANTITY in the that internal table IT_CASE. but when iam selecting that that line iam not getting CHECKBOX as 'X' in that internal table IT_CASE. i declared the table control as CAS_CONTROL and in that i have given the "w/selcolum" property as IT_CASE-CHECKBOX. now i want to fill that CHECKBOX as 'X' inthat internal table IT_CASE whatever the lines we are selecting only for those lines i want to fill up as 'X' in that internal table.
Can you please suggest any one reg this.
Thanks in advance

Hello body,
You can give a name such as 'SEL' in  w/selcol and declare SEL as char1. Then follow the coading.
in TOP.
data: sel type c.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
user_command_0011.
loop at <Your internal table>.
module get_data.
endloop.
Inside Module get_data.
        if sy-ucomm = <Your Fcode>
        if sel = 'X'.
           <Your internal table>-<Field for checkbox> = 'X'.
          append <Your internal table>.
        endif.
      endif.
I think your issue is resolved.

Table Controls: Examples with Scrolling
The following example processes a table control with LOOP without parallel loop using an internal table. In addition to the scroll bar, the user can also carry out program-controlled scrolling with function codes.

            flights-top_line = 0.
          ENDIF.
        WHEN 'NEXT_PAGE'.
          flights-top_line = flights-top_line + lines.
          limit = fill - lines + 1.
          IF flights-top_line > limit.
            flights-top_line = limit.
          ENDIF.
        WHEN 'PREV_PAGE'.
          flights-top_line = flights-top_line - lines.
          IF flights-top_line < 0.
            flights-top_line = 0.
          ENDIF.
        WHEN 'LAST_PAGE'.
          flights-top_line =  fill - lines + 1.
        WHEN 'FIRST_PAGE'.
          flights-top_line = 0.
      ENDCASE.
ENDMODULE.
The layout of screen 100 is:
A resizable table control called FLIGHTS is defined. The fields of the table control are transferred from the structure DEMO_CONN in the ABAP Dictionary. The first two columns are lead columns. The corresponding fields are output fields. A title bar, column headers, and a selection column are created. The component MARK of type character with length 1 from structure DEMO_CONN is assigned to the selection column. You can select one column and several lines.
It has the following flow logic:
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
      MODULE status_0100.
      LOOP WITH CONTROL flights.
        MODULE fill_table_control.
ENDLOOP.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
      MODULE cancel AT EXIT-COMMAND.
      LOOP WITH CONTROL flights.
        MODULE read_table_control.
ENDLOOP.
      MODULE user_command_0100.
The system executes a loop at PBO and PAI using the table control FLIGHTS. During the PBO loop, a module is called to fill the table control from table ITAB of the ABAP program. During the PAI loop, a module is called to modify table ITAB.
Before the PBO loop, in the module STATUS_0100 the current number of lines of the internal table ITAB is placed in component LINES of control structure FLIGHTS. This helps the system to correctly install the scroll bar of the table control.
During the PBO loop, in the module FILL_TABLE_CONTROL the work area DEMO_CONN is filled with values from the internal table, where the row index corresponds to the current row of the table control.
During the PAI loop, in the module READ_TABLE_CONTROL the current number of the loop SY-LOOPC in the table control is placed an auxiliary variable. The number is dependent on the size of the screen. The rows of the internal table, whose row index corresponds to the current row of the table control, are overwritten with the contents of the work area DEMO_CONN. User input is transferred from the input fields of the control to the internal table. In particular, the internal table also contains a flag in the column MARK to indicate whether the row of the table control is selected or not.
After the PAI loop, user input is processed in the module USER_COMMAND. The GUI status SCREEN_100 provides the appropriate function codes. You can scroll line by line or page by page, or Goto the first or last page. You can implement scrolling by setting the component TOP_LINE of control structure FLIGHTS. For page-by-page scrolling the auxiliary variable that is filled in the PAI loop by SY-LOOPC is used as the step size.

Hi,
I have redone the scenario and follow the steps it will work....
STEP 1: Create an internal table with field for selection in table.
STEP 2: Assign the selection field in the table control for the line selection.
STEP 3: Now whenever the line is selected, the selection field will have a field 'X'.
STEP 4: In PAI Modify the table fields those are selected with 'X'.
STEP 5: Set a flag in PAI, flag = 'X'.

• Selecting data in the table control

Hi Friends,
I have final data in my table control now the user wants to select only few records from the displayed data, for that I kept a check box for selection, But my question is I am unable to read the selected data.
Actually user requirement is he has to update only the selected data from the displayed data in the table control.
Can any one tell me how to read the selected records after displaying in the table control.
Thanx in advance,
Line

Hello Line,
As gopi has suggested do the following..
for the table control properties u have an option called W/SelColumn.
Give in some name (ROW_SEL)to that and also include a field CHK in the internal which is being passed to the table control.
and in the PAI of the table control module wirte like this...
Then in your code..
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
PBO FLOW LOGIC FOR TABLECONTROL 'TABCONTROL'
MODULE TABCONTROL_CHANGE_TC_ATTR.
MODULE TABCONTROL_CHANGE_COL_ATTR.
LOOP AT lt_final
INTO lw_final
WITH CONTROL tabcontrol
CURSOR tabcontrol-current_line.
MODULE tabcontrol_get_lines.
MODULE TABCONTROL_CHANGE_FIELD_ATTR
ENDLOOP.
MODULE status_0101.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
PAI FLOW LOGIC FOR TABLECONTROL 'TABCONTROL'
LOOP AT lt_final.
MODULE read_data.
MODULE tabcontrol_user_command.
ENDLOOP.
MODULE TABCONTROL_CHANGE_TC_ATTR.
MODULE TABCONTROL_CHANGE_COL_ATTR.
MODULE user_command_0101.
MODULE tabcontrol_user_command input.
if lt_final-chek = 'X'.
*put your logic here something like
move corresponding lt_final to gt_final.
*now you have selcted rows data in gt_final.
endif.
endmodule.
Regards

I am using Photoshop CS5 on a new iMac with a wireless keyboard.  I used to be able to hit F11 to perform a custom sharpening action but now the F11 key is the volume control key and I have tried everything to disable or switch the volume key. I have also tried assigning other function keys to initiate the action. Is there a simple solution to this? What am I missing?

Try unmounting the volume on your iMac using Disk Utility. Then mount it again. You may need to reboot the laptop or relaunch its Finder process (using the Force Quit window) after remounting the drive on your iMac. Remember that no process may be accessing any files on the drive you plan to unmount, or the unmount will fail. Unmounting and remounting an external drive on my iMac made it become visible on my MacBook Pro after it had disappeared.

• When using the new controls of CVI 7 in my DLL it crash on the DisplayPanel call

I have a CVI DLL that was build under CVI 6. When I recompile it in CVI 7 everything works fine when I load the DLL from my application. But If I add a button on my uir file with the new CVI 7 style (no event code associated, just a plain button) my DLL crash and hang my main application on the DisplayPanel call. If I don't use the new controls (use the classic-style controls) everything works fine. I use LoadPanelEx to load my uir file. The returned panel handle is good (> 0) But when I call DisplayPanel it doesn't show me any error but just crash my DLL and jump back in the DLLMain function saying that my process is detaching and hang my main application.
I am running on Win2k. I have
LabVIEW 7 and LabVIEW 6.0.2 installed also. The main application that calls the DLL is made in Delphi 6.
I have re-installed the run-time engine from the CDs but this didn't do the trick. Is there something else that I must include with my DLL to use thoses new controls styles. The DLL is running from the same place where it was build.

Hi,
I have created another cvi DLL and it create the same behavior in my application (crash on DisplayPanel). But if I do a standalone CVI executable with thoses new buttons everything is fine. Also I have created another application(in Delphi) to load the cvi-dll and it works fine in that one. So I would tend to say that it is in my application but on the other hand everything works fine if I don't put thoses LabStyle controls...Weird I know...
In shorts It is just crashing with a specific application but for any UI project that I create. If I don't put thoses buttons everything is ok...Any other advises would be helpful because I'm kind of out of ideas...
