ARD 3.1 and ARD Not Active on Clients

I have ARD 3.1 installed on a PPX X-serve running 10.4.8. The client I am managing are core duo minis also running version 3.1 and 10.4.8.
Lately when ever I try to see the clients throuh ARD I get the message that ARD isn't active on the client or the client is offline.
I tesetd this on site and ADR is enabled on all the clients and all had working ip connections.
Any ideas where to start?

Yea same here....our machines (250) can be sitting at the login windows and ARD is running and I can do pretty much anything with them that I want using ARD on them. Thats on a local network though....not using wireless, not that should matter though. Also using ARD 3.1.
When you have users logging off at the clients ARD Agent or something with ARD shutsdown for a moment until the machine gets back to the login window and then the Agent should restart and be waiting for ARD like normal again.

ARD not active.

I have enabled Apple Remote Management sharing in my Mac OSX Server Leopard, and i can control it from my machine and everything works fine, but when i restart the machine and when it leads to the login window, the apple remote desktop shows me "ARD not active" and i cant Observe and Control until i go physically to that machine and type it in and then i can observe & control.. is there anything i have to enable it to let me Observe login window!!

I have recently begun to have the same problem.
I have a computer I work with that just began to return these indicators:
When first turned on, "Access Denied" and after a time, it switches to "ARD not active." I have checked both in person and by having the person on site check to see that none of the shortname/passwords have been changed. We have also tried restarting the cable modem and router.
This setup has worked for over a year, and now it is impossible to connect with. I had someone bring in their personal iBook and hook it up to the network. I was able to 'see' (list the computer in ARD, but they were running an older version of the Client so I was unable to "Control") their computer as well as access their HD via "Connect To Server." Even after that, I was still unable to connect the original computer.
Assuming nothing has changed since I was last able to connect, what should I try?
The remote computer:
G4/400MHz Running OS X 10.3.9 (with the updated ARD Client)
My computer:
Dual 2G/G5 Running OS X 10.4.5 (with ARD 2.2)

Can't see my payment and apps not active

I already ordered a photography pack but the apps arte not active and i ca not see the payment in my account. any idee?

I just updated my software from iTunes6 to itunes7
and sudenly no lists appear neither in itunes or
ipod. Originaly I had 25GB on songs, 10 GB in videos
and 5 in others. 40 GB out of 60GB of capacity. I
hooked up my ipod to my pc, iTunes loaded and now
everything is recognized as Others. How can I can see
again my music. It was not erased but no I can`t hear
my songs...Please help!!!
Restore your ipod then load all the music/videos back onto it again. It will be working normally after that.

"ARD Not Active" after Archive and Install

I had to Reinstall the system on a MacPro, Final Cut issues. Since then I can't get ARD to work on that machine. Everything is setup the same as it was. What am I missing.

It won't let me add a new account. I am locked out and when I try to unlock it gives me the beachball and becomes non responsive after it tries to authenticate.
I looked at the log file, I am not sure what exactly to look for. I am no programer. I see an awful lot of negative wording. I see some errors like "error (-4956) locating menu extra but they are mostly under system preferences...I see some stuff in the loginwindow that says is not a full path... Otherwise, the only reference I see to the finder is when I have force quit the finder.

I have a iphone 3gs and its not activating. i have tried it on both my phone and itunes and neither are working. Any suggestions

I have tried to acrivate my phone both on itunes and on my phone. Im not surwe what to do anymore? the message it says to me on my phone is "Your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iphone to itunes to activate it, or try again in a few minutes."

TS4268 Why FaceTime and iMessage not activated with non US located Apple ID?

I have an iPad mini and I'm not able to activate FaceTime and iMessage using my apple ID whcih has a country set as Egypt, and when I tried to use another ID with US as country, it working fine.
Note: I was able to activate iMessage using the Egpytian ID before updating to IOS 6.
I guess this is a problem with IOS 6 and as a work arround you can chnage the country of you ID to US (if you don't have payment details set) and it will be activated.

Ipad4 facetime and imessage not activating

i have an ipad4 Wifi.i recently restored my ipad via itunes back to original settings.now it has ios8.2. But now facetime and imessage does not work anymore. It keeps saying facetime and imessage cannot be activated.everything else is working fine. even the wifi is also working very well. i tried everything possible from changing the DNS to restoring ios but still it does not work. i think it cant be a hardware issue beacause wifi works well. so i think its something else. please help me!!

HT1414 When I update 3GS which has iOS 4.1to 6.0.1 and now not activating

Hi all,thanks for reading my question..
when I connected my device to my computer there was a nice popup to upgrade current to iOS 6.0.1. I took a backup before clicked on upgrade and it took sometime to upgrade and finally i saw a activation screen. I tried using Wi-fi and also using itunes. but i see the screen as "We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time" on my computer screen and on my iphone device as "the server is temporary out of service" Please let me to get out this issue. I don't need any upgrades and I wanted my phone back to unlocked version with old iOS is okay.

Typically activation issues are the result of a device that has been hacked or jailbroken to unlock.
If this is the case, no support can be provided here.

Account not verified and mail not active

Hi all and sorry for my bad english.
I have an iphone 5 with ios 7.1 and I always used with satisfaction, unfortunately I realized that my account has never been confirmed (I was sure of it)
the problem is that if I try to confirm, my old mail (@yahoo) is deleted for inactivity!! I can not receive the confirmation link.
I tried the second option (secret question) but don't work it!
the account is very old at least four years and probably activation I entered an incorrect date (taken by the euphoria of my new iphone)
i used never the phone as "Spartphone" for me the phone "phones" just, but now I want to solve this situation...
what chance do I have? I can safely use accounts added but can't use icloud

Unable to delete the bad request,and also not activated.

I am having ods1 existing in process chain,it is exporting 4ods.At the 3 ods the request was failed at datatarget level,but in RSMO status shows as green only.
For all the ODSes the data has runned for two days,on first day the request was failed,if i am going to activate or delete its not accepting.plz help me in this issue.update type for that ODS is deltaupdate..

In your case, the data was loaded successfully, but the activation got failed.
to confirm that, check the number of records loaded as below.
No. of records loaded.
No. of records available in "New Data Table"
If the data load is successful and there are '0' records in new data table, you can turn the QM status to green and then activate the data.
If still there are records in New Data Table, The failure might be because of the table space problem. Check the short dumps in ST22. You may find a runtime error called "DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR". You'll see a message "Unable to extend table". You can notify this runtime error to Basis team and they can help you out.
If it's not the table space problem, you can delete the request by turning the QM status to red in RSMO/Data target (though it is already red, turn it to red again) .
let me know the source system where you are getting the data from. I can suggest you whether to delete the data.

Just updated to iOS 8, iMessage and FaceTime not activating?

I own an iPhone 4s and recently updated my phone to iOS 8. Before, I was able to freely iMessage and FaceTime people without any problems. After updating, I am now not able to activate my iMessage or FaceTime at all. When turning on the iMessage, it always returns to the "Unable to Activate, turn on iMessage to try again." I have tried everything I could find to get this to work yet none of them are specifically for iOS 8 and they are not working. I have even restored my phone, reset the network settings, and many other supposed "solutions" due to my desperation. I just logged out of my Apple ID for iMessage and now it is simply stuck on the "Waiting for Activation" Advice?

go to settings, general, reset, reset all settings. this causes the phone to reset and finishes installing certain iOS 8 features and should fix any glitches you're having. i have not met someone yet where this did not work.

Can I use an iPhone 4 as an iPod if it has no service and is not activated?

My friend is offering me his old iPhone 4 that has no service. I was wondering if I could use this as an iPod touch? I know that you have to have a SIM card to activate it, but can I activate it even if it has no service or is that not possible? I only want to use it to listen to music on.

A type of Activation is connecting the iPhone to a wireless carrier.
What do you mean by activate? If not to the wireless carrier.
iMessage?
FaceTime?
Activation Lock, (Find My iPhone)?
Connecting the iPhone to a PC to sync doesn't require activation for carrier, iMessage, FaceTime or Find My iPhone .
SIM card activation would require connecting to or activating through a wireless carrier.

IMessage and Facetime not activating?

Hi all. I just bought an 8GB iPod touch 4th gen that didn't come with ios 5. I updated it as soon as I opened it. But I can't get Facetime and iMessage to work, it says "could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again" This is really frustrating me. I have tried the restriction thing that people are talking about but it doesn't seem to work. Any thoughts?
