ARD 3.4 - Dashboard Widget says Missing Plugin after successful download

Downloaded and successfully installed 3.4 for ARD (Admin). Downloaded and successfully installed 10.6.6 (App store, etc.). Downloaded and successfully installed ARD 3.4 Widget for Dashboard. When I got to add to Dashboard, Icon is there, but it says Missing Plugin.

Looks like you're in luck. I was in the middle of updating some of my other machines and noticed that there was a new version of the widget installer posted. After installing, I didn't need to remove any of my widgets for the ARD widget to work again.

Don, this can happen if you accidently overwrote these widgets (which should have been pre-installed with your machine) with PowerPC versions from an older Mac. Did you use migration assistant to transfer your files over to your new machine (and if so, could you have accidently copied over these widgets)?
Unfortunately, the only solution is to 1) reinstall OS X or 2) use Pacifist to extract the widgets from your OS X install disks.

I keep installing flash player but it keeps saying missing plugin

Flash used to work fine, but now every time I try to watch a flash video I get either a box saying to install Flash or it says missing plugin. I've downloaded and installed flash player numerous times, but it never works.

I suspect you'll need to run the uninstaller, then install the newest version.

Download and install the latest flash plugin only from the adobe flash download page. I believe safari is disabling or removing older versions of the flash plugin.

Java Script has been blocked, and says missing plugin.

I have downloaded a bunch of internet browsers to try and fix the issue but the Java has been enabled on all of them and none of them are allowing Java Script 6 or 7 to work.

Java and JavaScript are, despite the similar name, two different things. Which has been "blocked", Java or JavaScript? JavaScript is not a plugin in most browser, so I'm guessing you really mean Java. If so, have you downloaded and installed Java from Oracle?

[SOLVED] Oxygen widget style missing/broken after KDE 4.8.0 to 4.8.1

(I'm was not sure where to place this thread so please forgive me if I should have placed in somewhere else :-))
Today I upgraded my KDE to 4.8.1 and now I'm missing the Oxygen widget style. I tried reinstalling kdebase and kde-workspace and I even uninstalled all of kde, followed by installing kde-meta (previously I had the "kde" package installed).
Since there is no "oxygen" package (or at least I couldn't find it) I'm really stuck here. I also couldn't find anything related in the forums, like issues from previous upgrades.
I made two screenshots. At [1] you see that only unthemed widget styles are available. At [2] you see that also GTK apps like firefox have lost their theming although oxygen-gtk is installed.
I'd appreciate any help!

Sorry, I shouldn't have posted that firefox screenshot. What I meant was that GTK applications are not themed as well. However, the main issue here is that there seems to be no theming at all, e.g., oxygen is not available for Qt applications (only built-in styles selectable, as shown in the first screenshot).

EDIT: note that I'm in a full KDE session and QT_PLUGIN_PATH is set to $HOME/.kde4/lib/kde4/plugins/:/usr/lib/kde4/plugins/

Runtime error saying missing iview after deployment

Hi all gurus!
A very irritating problem is annoying the hell out of me. The background: as an experiment I downloaded and took a copy for safety reasons of the com.portal.navigation.toolarea file. I then edited the jsp file in one of the copies and deployed the result into the portal and emediately got a runtime error. Not very clever to edit the SAP standard file but as I mentioned I took a copy for precaution and deployed that one back into the portal. But now for the problem: I still get the same runtime error!
The error message is as follows:
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/defaultDesktop/frameworkPages/frameworkpage/com.sap.portal.toolAreaiView
Component Name : null
Page could not create the iView.
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
It seems like some connections have been broken. What do I have to do in order to restore everything? I have checked at the repository at the portal server itself and the folder with the original content is to be found there, that is the jsp-file is the unedited one.
Any ideas? I think it's just some standard procedure I have to do but I don't know what to be honest.

As you have the original backed up par file do the following:
1. Goto Administration Console and undeploy the project
System Administration-> Support-> Portal Runtime-> Administration Console
2. Do the offline undeploy as suggested below.
3. Copy the backed up par file into folder ..\usr\sap\<SID>\<JC-->\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd
4. Restart your server
5. After restart, check in folder ..\usr\sap\<SID>\<JC-->\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd
You should see that your par file is renamed to par.bak
Offline undeployment:
Here is the way you can undeploy your par file manually:
Remove your par.bak files from:
..\usr\sap\<SID>\<JC-->\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd
and
..\usr\sap\<SID>\<JC-->\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\temp
Mostly the par.bak will be present either in pcd or temp folders but not in both.
ex: C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd

Give this fix a try:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager demo version and launch.>Click on the Add Library button,
2 - select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
3 - now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
4 - in the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed. Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2: Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Sky Player - I am trying to register for the service but it says I have missing plugins but Firefox can't find any

I am trying to sign-up to Sky Player however I cannot do so because when I press the 'sign-up' button on the web page it refuses to take me to next page and the Firefox has a banner saying 'missing plugins'. When I click on that Firefox cannot find the missing plugins! I manually download some but it makes no difference.
Had similar problems in the past with other sites and end up have to use IE instead!

Missing plugin message in all browsers

Hello,
Has anybody else encountered this? Today when using Chrome all of a sudden instead of videos I got a message that says missing plugin. Of course, Chrome claims that Adobe is automatic. I tried both IE and Firefox, and they both said I needed to install the plugin. I did reinstall Flash, still getting the same message. I have unistalled and reinstalled Flash about 12 times today, and uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome and no effect, still getting the same problem. I tried disabling Flash in Chrome and installing, still didn't work. Please help!
I have Windows XP Pro, and I use Chrome for the most part. I have the lastest version of everything I am sure, since I reinstalled it all today. Thanks!!!!

If not, what version of FF did you have Installed before 4.0? Was Flash Player working then?
Have you updated Flash Player each time Adobe updated it? The version before this latest was 10.2.152.32, do you recall having that version before updating to the current version?
With all of these questions, I'm trying to determine if you had a Flash Player problem prior to this latest update with IE or FF?
Also did you have a problem with the FF previous version.
Flash Player updated & within a day FF came out with 4.0. That makes it difficult to determine which may be causing an issue.
Flash Player works thru the browsers and FF is the new browser.
When updating Flash Player the last time, did you receive any error messages pertaining to IE or FF?
Do you have any Anti-Virus other than Avast and did you have a clean Uninstall of any previous AV?
We will probably Uninstall and Install, but if any issue was present prior to these updates, then unless they are identified they may well cause an issue.

Java install missing plugin

I'm trying to update my GoPro Hero3 and it promts me to update my Java. I do this, then I test the Java and it says "missing plugin". I've made sure that my Java is checked and enabled in my preferences. I've closed and restarted my browser. I'm not sure what else to do. Any suggestions out there?

use the Illustrator Uninstaller to uninstall the software and be sure to check the option to remove all preferences towards the end. Also remove any left behind files of Adobe Illustrator from /Applications/Adobe Illustrator CS6 and then reinstall.

Web site keeps asking for missing plugins

I work for a well known German car manufacturer and on a regular basis have to complete e-training on their web site.
Now I have already done a platform test for mac and unfortunately failed because it is not comparable - however speaking with iT department they suggested I Run Fire fox. This actually allows me into web page but as soon as I start a course a window pops up saying missing plugins.
It then asks me do I want to locate missing plugins when I select yes it then pops up with another window suggesting there are no suggestions.
It then asks me if I'd like to do a manual search - unfortunately because I haven't got a clue which plugins I require I'm reluctant to download a system for example like Java. My mac 27" is fresh out the box how do I find missing plugins.
Our iT department has suggested changing my computer to a windows platform - which obviously not an option

Java and Flash are two very common plugins that no longer come pre-installed on Macs. Flash used to and I think believe Java did but I'm not 100% sure.

Make sure you visit these using Firefox.
If you can provide the link to the website, I can take a look and hopefully see what exactly you need.
