ARD Clients Status Says Offline but Online

Does anyone also have a problem where certain ARD clients statuses say that they are "offline", yet they are technology online and are still available to control and observe? I have an entire list where half of the client statuses read offline, even though the machines are online and accessible. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? It is driving me crazy.

I tried your method and it also worked. I deleted the client from the All Computers list, and then re-added the client's IP manually within the Scanner. It seems like all 3 of our methods will work depending on the situation. Good stuff. Appreciate your reply!

Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. Some users have reported that Apple is aware of the issue.

TS4006 My one device says 'offline' but we are always on internet....i am confused!

I have 2 iphone 5's and 2 iphone 4s's and an ipad and i of each phone and ipad are always "locatable" but the one iphone 4s and iphone 5 always says offline but i know they are not as they are used for internet all the time...what are we missing???

On the devices that are offline, try turn Find My iPhone off, then after a minute or so turn it back on.

LP 1020: Power is on,printer ready but status says offline

I'm running Windows XP. The power comes on, the printer goes into the ready state but I can't print anything because the status says the printer is offline. I printed a bunch of stuff this afternoon, but when I tried again tonight I couldn't print anything. Any ideas? thanks.

The Xfinity router may need some tweaking.
Login to your router using the provided instructions by Xfinity and navigate to the wireless settings.
Change the channel to 11 or something less crowded.
Change the network encryption to WPA2 as it is the most secure and most reliable.
Last but not least, update the firmware on the Xfinity router to make sure it's fully up to date with everything.

Lost connection while downloading a book. Can't get it to finish after reconnecting. Status says downloading but nothing happens

I lost Internet connection while downloading a book through iBook app. Now it won't finish. If I go to the iBook store, the status says "downloading" I can't delete it or get it to download. Anyone have a suggestion?

I have the same problem, but it happened when I downloaded a sample of a book so I can not do the solution offered by Beachdogz. I would just buy the book but I can't because it says downloading so there's no buy option. Actually it says downloading downloading (twice) if that helps.

Find my iphone saying offline but it is online

my son has an ipod touch 5th gen
it is connected to wifi. when i use FIND MY PHONE using my own iphone it usually shows me he is online and his location.
his settings are correct and are locked as i have used Restrictions switched on on his ipod so that he cannot mess about with them (he is only 8 years old).
i know the ipod is switched on and online as i can imessage him without any problems.
when i try and use FIND MY IPHONE app, and log in, it tries to locate and then come up with message saying it is offline. it is not offline.
the device is only a few months old.
this function was working days agao. but now doesn;t appear to be.
he is about to go opn easter vacation and i wanted to keep in touch with him. obviously i can only do this when he is connected to wifi, but without the correct functionality of this app, i don't know IF he is connect NOR where he is

I am new to aperture and I have just moved all my photos over to it but some of them are saying that there offline. All my photos are stored on a separate server on the network but all my photos are on the same drive and in the same basically in the same folder. How can I fix this so they will be online and so I will be able to load them…etc in aperture.

I have had exactly the same problem. Often one project is "Online", whereas another on the same external drive is "Offline".
I click "Show in Finder" but it just says unavailable. I try reconnecting using Manage Reference files, but the reconnect button is greyed out. Sometimes if I leave it on long enough, it allows me to reconnect, but only one file at a time. Clicking "Reconnect All" doesn't seem to work.
This is infuriating. Do they seriously expect us to spend half an hour each time we want to connect to a project?

Odd Frames Or Groups Of Frames Say "Offline" But Are Not ?

The title says it all!
Suddenly I have a project where groups of frames or just an odd one randomly are red and claim to be offline. However, they appear to play perfectly well. The timeline off course is expanded quite a lot .... if I make all the project appear on the timeline nothing untoward can be seen.
Clicking on them usually returns them to normal but not always.

It's just in the timeline when expanded as shown in the screenshot.
By clicking around I can sometimes make that particular frame (or bunch of frames) clear but others will then appear elsewhere.
As far as I can see these offline warnings are false as I can play the clips quite normally without any drop frames etc. occurring.
They don't seem to have any bad effect at all. It's just a mystery that they have started appearing since yesterday.

Can't send mail, says offline, but can receive

I can receive mail on my .mac account but when I try to send anything, it says I am offline. How do you contact anyone at Apple? We held for about 45 minutes last night and still couldn't get through. Apple needs to do something about their customer service for those of us who don't live close enough to an Apple Store to be able to visit the genius bar.

I'm having the same problem, and it's making me crazy. Since I installed 10.5.6, many things gradually have gone wrong. Mail started hanging and my wireless network became very unstable. To try to "fix" Mail, I trashed Mail's prefs and restarted. Then I input my settings and got the result that I can receive mail but cannot send it. I have tinkered with my settings ad nauseam, with no improvement. Since all three of my computers sync using Mobile Me, now I cannot send from any of them.
I certainly would appreciate any input or experience anyone can share.

FPGA compiler Server status says idle but Status says compiling VHDL

when i compile my FGPA vi file , after some time in the compile server window "Server status" shows "idle.." but the status box shows "Compiling VHDL".
It stays in this condition for a long time about 30 mins. Why is this happening? I am also attaching the screenshot of the compile server.
FPGA vi i am trying to compile is the Sine Generator.vi which was there in examples under FPGA Fundamanetals->Analysis and Controls.

I am attaching the block diagram of the fpga vi. It is a sine generator example which was in the labview examples folder.
I am seeign this behaviour only when i compile this fpga vi. I have compiled other fpga vi's without any problem.

Offline but I'm not!

I've searched the forums but everyone seems to have opposite problems.
Skype on my MacBook Air OSX version 10.9.5 running latest Skype 7.6 (409) will NOT allow me to change status from offline to online.
I've rebooted, I've reinstalled the latest Skype and it won't let me make calls.
There is no old version to put in trash. I cannot find a library file to put in trash.
I've Googled this as others seemed to have similar problems but theirs went away with update or trashing old Skype.
I'd delete the **bleep** thing but Skype still has my money. If they can't fix this bug I think we should do a class action suit and get the money back from our accounts that we can't ACCESS b/c Microsoft decided to screw up program.

Can you try to use Skype from another user in your Mac to discard problems in your current user? Also, do you have problems with Skype srarus if you use other device in the same network? (Another computer, laptop, smartphone…)

ARD 3.1 Clients status intermittently goes offline

Since we installed ARD 3.0 and even now I have experienced an Issue that I hope somebody out there could help me with?
The environment that I have is as follows;
Many Mac OS X 10.4 clients all running ARD 3.1 and ARD 3.1 server
All clients authenticate on an Active Directory network and using MS server 2003 DHCP, DNS etc etc......
The problem is that I have noticed that clients have been going to 'Offline' status within the machine groups. I have tried restarting the service but to no avail. The only way to resolve this is to delete from computer group and then re-scan network and then re-add to former group and it all is then back to normal??
After investigating this on several occasions, I have noticed that the clients that stop functioning all have the wrong local DNS address as the address is usually for another machine altogether, but the mac machine name is still the same (usually a Windows machine elsewhere!).
Can anybody tell me what is wrong??? All clients recieve an automatic DHCP address, is it a case of giving them all manual IP configuration or is this problem related to something else completely?? I dont want to apply static IP configs to all machines even though at the end it doesn't resolve the issue!
Please help, because this is really frustrating!!

i wouldn't say my clients go offline but I am experiencing similar results with wrong DNS names as you stated.
Same kinda of deal in our shop.
Mixed PC and Macs. MS AD network. PC log onto the domain but mac computers are free standing workstations.
We name our computers in this fashion:
For Macs
CompanyName-MDxx-UserName.domain.com for Desktop Macs where xx is the machine number.
For PC's
CompanyName-PCxx.domain.com for Desktop PC where xx is the machine number.
Some Mac ARD clients (Viewing from ARD) come up as CompanyName-PCxx.domain.com in the
DNS Name field but the Name is retained.
If I launch terminal on these questionable machines, the prompt states the incorrect DNS Name. If I disconnect the network cable and relaunch Terminal, then the prompt is the actual Mac's name from the Sharing Prefs.
Obviously this isn't an ARD issue but since ARD and Terminal both read this value.
My question is: Where is this number being fed from?
Does that make sense?

Clients appear as offline, no status update, Server is online

Windows Server 2012 Essentials was working for years but now I have an issue... All clients appear as offline, in the dashboard I don't see any alerts (in the top right I just see a black cross), however the clients are online, can see their alerts, backup
is working fine.
Any idea how to fix that?

Did you installed any update for Windows Server 2012 Essentials?
Based on my research, it seems that after you install Update Rollup for Windows Server 2012 Essentials, the clients have still the old Connector version running, then the client computers may appear to be offline in the dashboard until the client
side package is installed and should be rebooted after the update is applied.
I recommend you to reboot the clients to see if the issue persists.
