ARD not updating/showing what remote computer display

Where I work we're constantly watching 6 computers with ARD 3.
3 PC's running Windows 2000 and 3 Macs running OS X 10.4.5.
For some reason the Macs (not all at once) occasionally stop updating what's done when controlling it, but one can still control it. You just can't see the causes of your actions without closing the window for the remote computer and opening it again. For example, if I wan't to restart the computer (which I have to in order to get back proper behaviour in ARD) I click the Apple menu on the remote computer, but visually nothing happens. I then close the window for the remote computer and open it again. Now the Apple menu is pulled down. I then click "Restart..." in the Apple menu, but again this is not shown, so I close the window for the computer and connect to it again. Now the "are you sure you want to restart" dialog is seen.
So, the computer can still be controlled, it's only what's done is not shown over ARD.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

I'm also experiencing the same issue with one computer on our network. Same as said before in this thread, if I change the size of the window it updates the screen. However, changing the bit depth between the black/white, and full color doesn't update the screen. Its very odd. Its only one machine that does this on our network, and its running 10.3.9 same as many other of our machines.
All of the machines on the network are either running 10.3.9 or 10.4.6 with the exception of our imaging department which is running 10.4.5 due to Adobe CS2 not being able to save to a server (quits unexpectedly).

We have implemented N-Step BADI BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI For Approvals Levels in SRM.
Work flow is triggering correctly and workitem is sent at all the levels. But in transaction code BBP_PD the status of the workitem is not updating showing the error message "NO WORKITEM FOUND" also status is not updating in BBP_PD.
Please reply with your suggestions.

We are getting "No workitem found" status in BBP_PD transaction. But all approval process is happening perfectly and when we check status through "Status Monitor " through web it is updating correct status.
Status is updating in BBP_PD .Status of main workflow is displaying correctly and approval levels and corresponding approver names are displaying correctly, but only the status and time of approval is missing.
can you suggest something on this issue.

There are no more updates for Java from Apple for 10.5.8, the only way to get a Java upgrade is updating your OSX.

I cleared the cache and my site does not update! What's the secret? I created a second website and bought a domain name. You can get to the site by it's mac name or the purchased domain name. I linked the domain name and with my server and it works. The site comes up wither way. BUT, either way, I cannot get my changes to appear. I had realized that my links were not working because I had placed them within the header. So, I moved the links out of the header, republished, and now the new pages (with links in body of website) will not load. Here are the two ways to get to see the site. Both show the old way (links in header). What is up with me not being able to see the changes in either Firefox or Safari?

IPod will not update when plugged into computer?

Just recently my iPod with not update when I plug it into my computer. My iPod does not show up on my Mac or my iTunes. When I plug it in the screen shows the do not disconnect sign. I have tried to reset my iPod and checked for new updates, but they haven't worked. If anyone knows what to do that would be great.

Yes. Since I installed the new system software (10.4.6) update Sunday night, I cannot update any of my iPods except the iPod video. The iPods also do not show up on my desktop. The battery charges but that's all that happens.

That looks like the logic which was written into the VI
Inner true/ false case:
(file exists : false) write to XML file, unflatten for display
(file exists : true) read from XML file, unflatten for display
At no time when the file exists (true case) is the XML file updated...

What happens when you try to update? That is the missing element here? Without knowing what you are experiencing, it's really difficult to suggest what to do. I will go on the assumption that you are seeing the "waiting" icons. If that's the case, this is my standard response that includes quite a number of things to try.
Even if it is not the "waiting" icons issue, one of these suggestions might help anyway.
1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first.
4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

what can you do when you interrupt your update and when you try and finish it, the update does now show up on your settings>

try resetting your phone by turning it off and back on again and tr again. if that doesnt work, try updateing via itunes

Files are not updating on my remote site.

Hi, Everything has been fine with my site until today. Something is different. When I make a new page in Dreamweaver and save it as a new .html page, then I syncronize as I always have. Not only does it not upadate my files, but it continually shows files which have already been syncronized. I have even taken a page which is showing just fine on the internet, added something to it, snycronized it, and it does no updating at all. I hope I am giving you enough info. If not, please tell me, but I dont know what has changed to cause this.

One more test. Add this last modified meta tag to your page in code view, right below your <title> </title> tags.

Upload to server. Refresh browser. Can you see the new page now?
If not, contact your host. Your site may be up, but on some of the cheaper web hosting accounts (not saying yours is cheap BTW b/c I don't know anything about them), servers don't reflect updates right away. Also, make sure you haven't run out of server space and you're uploading to the correct folder?

i have restared my computer several times and have pluged my ipod into an electrical adapter charger but still every time i plug in my ipod into the computer and i click ok to the window "would you like to update your ipod" impediatly there is a window that says "there was a problem downloading the ipod software for the ipod. an unknown error occurred (-23). what do i do? this is so frustrating

1. Try the iPod troubleshooting assistant:
If you haven't already done so, try the steps in the iPod Troubleshooting Assistant (choose your iPod model from the list).
If the issue remains after following your iPod's troubleshooting assistant, follow the steps below.
2. Restart the iPod Service
3. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service
4. Empty your Temp directory and restart
5. Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed
6. Change your iPod's drive letter
7. Remove and reinstall iTunes
8. Disable conflicting System Services and Startup Items
9. Update, Reconfigure, Disable, or Remove Security Software
10. Deleting damaged or incorrect registry keys

IPod with not update-show full

I have removed/cleared all of my PodCast and there is no music loaded. But when I go to update it show as being almost half full and it says there is not enough room for what I want to load.

You might want to try restoring your iPod (this will erase everything that is currently on it, and it will also allow iTunes to see it as an empty disk) and then updating your files in iTunes.

IPod will not update properly - What is going on?!

I've just got a new computer and I accidentally managed to delete all my music files.
Since I couldn't retrieve them, I started putting my music onto this new computer.. the iTunes on it was working fine.
But when I came to update the songs onto my iPod, it made a strange whirring sound, but it was working like it usually did when it updates.
When it said the update was complete, the songs that I put on iTunes that were supposedly updated were not and there were no songs on my iPod!
I tried this a few times and fiddled around with the computer and iPod but it had the same result.
I tried it on a different computer but the result was the same.
I was wondering if this had happened to anyone before or if my iPod is officially screwed [I think the latter, but just to be sure].
I would very much appreciate an answer/some advice. Thankyou.

Somethings obviously gone wrong with your installation of Keynote.
Try this repair for Keynote 6.2, ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:
1 delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application
2 empty the trash: Finder > Empty Trash
3 Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then hold down the Shift key while pressing the power button
When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.
4 Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive
5 when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click repair disc permissions
6 when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart
7 install Keynote from the Mac App Store

The computer is pretty old and it was taking a long time to download songs so I took my computer in and had them transfer my iTunes onto my laptop. I logged onto my laptop and my iTunes library does not show any songs in there. How do I get iTunes to download all of my purchases?

When you say "had them transfer my iTunes" I assume they transferred all your files to the new machine, so the songs files are probably there somewhere. Use Windows to look for them on the laptop (starting in Music or My Music). When you know where they are, you just need to add them to the iTunes library, for which you can use the command File > Add Folder to Library.
