Are A3 metadata captions limited to a certain # of lines/characters?

I created a five line preset and appended it to 'caption' in the metadata drop down window. The five lines are my name - club affililiation - cell number - email address and copyright name.
Using batch I 'copied' the caption preset to 20 images. I then highlighted them and slecetd 'print images'. All works well until I get to the metadta options. I choose the 'caption' option but all I see is line one, two and part of line 3 of my 5-line caption. If I select EXIF all the lines of data are shown - far more than my 5 lined caption.
What am I doing wrong? When printing a contact sheet (or a standrad sheet with 20 pictures) am I limited to the size of the caption that will print? I checked the preview but only the same two plus lines of the caption are shown.

Ah so that's what coment lines are, learn something new every day.
Anyway I tried printing out just one image on a sheet and making it small and even then Aperture will only print out two full ines and a part of the thrid line of the comment section. Didn;t matter where the caption was printed (above, below, left, right)
What the OP needs to do is create a custom Metadata view which contains the fields he wishes to include with the image.
The five lines are my name - club affililiation - cell number - email address and copyright name.
Four of the fields exist alrady name, email adress, copywrite and telephone number. He can pick one of the other fields to use as the club info or else create a custom field.

Metadata Caption autofil

Hi,
I accidently typed a capital in the caption field where there shouldn't be one. Now I'm unable to correct that mistake. Every time I re-enter the caption, without the capital, LR automatically changes the small letter to the earlier entered version with capital.
I went to File > Catalog Settings > Metadata and checked out 'Offer suggestions from recently entered values'. That doesn't make any difference. Can anyone help me to solve this? Thanks.

LR 1.3.1 for Mac on a MacBook Pro (intel)

I'm sorry to start beating this horse once again (but it ain't dead yet!) I just encountered the buggy behavior mentioned earlier in regard to editing captions (LR 1.4.1, Mac, OS 10.4.11). I tried the recommended deselection of options in File/catalog settings... , however I still cannot successfully edit the capitalization (case) of certain words in my metadata Caption entries. I can add or delete letters altogether, but cannot change from lower-case to upper (or vice versa). When I do that, the case of the edited letter immediately reverts to the original entry.
It seems that my problem occurs whenever the Caption entry is a word that I had originally entered by copy/pasting from the image keyword list. IOW, it seems that there's no problem when I edit the case of letters occurring in words that were not pasted over from the set of keywords. This is unexpected to say the least, as I assumed that "text" is just "text"; however LR evidently thinks otherwise in this situation.

Where are the MetaData Templates located in PS C6 on a Mac that you can add your contact and copyright information to?
On a Windows machine they are located in Owner/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/XMP. I have some templates that I want to copy from a Windows laptop over to a Macbook Pro.

I think as of OS 10.7 Macintosh hides the Library, but one can get there by alt-clicking the Go-menu and selecting it from there … or something.

In my option, you would be better off buying DVDs and Blu-Ray discs than downloading movies and TV programmes from iTunes becuase far more of the titles on DVDs have subtitles / subtitles for the hearing impaired / Closed Captions than you would find on iTunes. Of course iTunes can replace a file in the iTunes Store with updated one to include CC, but they still lack a wider range. On DVDs, you would find all movies in a series (ie: trilogy or similar) having subtitles yet on iTunes it tend to be just one or two of the movies having subtitles while the others don't.
For example: On DVD, 'Men In Black', 'Men In Black 2' and 'Men In Black 3' would have subtitles, yet on iTunes MiB do not have Closed Captions (CC) while MiB2 and MiB3 do. For Tim Burton's Batman, on DVD both 'Batman' and 'Batman Returns' would have subtitles yet I find that only 'Batman' on iTunes have CC but 'Batman Returns' do not have any.
'Flash Gordon' (1980) starting Sam J Jones, on iTunes do not have subtitles, but on DVD it do, same for Harrison Ford movie 'Firewall', on iTunes no CC while on DVD, it do. Don't get me started with the Iron Man trilogy
Of course, iTunes could later replace any titles that do not have CC with updated file which now do have CC.
But as a general rule of a thumb, you would find far more DVDs have subtitles than movies on iTunes.
Same with TV shows.
And, oh, another thing....
Sometimes a movie or TV show on iTunes would say it have CC, but when watching, it turns out to be in CAPS LOCK.
Subtitles and CC on iTunes is rather a bit of a step backwards.

"PRC: Generate Asset Lines for a single project" not generating certain asset lines

Hi,
There are certain invoice lines for which the PA_ADDITION_FLAG is Y in AP_INVOICE_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL.
However, on running the "PRC: Generate Asset Lines for a single project" the same are line amounts are not getting Generated, and are not being shown under Rejected Lines in the output file aswell.
Can someone sugges what might be the issue?

What is your PA Thru n FA Dates?
PA date should be period end and FA date should be month end.........and also check CIP Interface amounts on Capitalization form..

Business Area is not getting updated in "Main Bank Account" Line item (FF_5

Hi Gurus,
I am executing T Code: FF_5 for uploading the "Multi-Cash" Format. This transaction clears the Bank Clearing Account and post the entry to the credit of "Bank Main Account".
Now while i had executed F110, the Business area was properly captured in the Bank Clearing Account Line item. But while executing FF_5, the Business Area is not getting captured against the "Main Bank Account" Line item.
Can you please tell me how to capture the Business Area against the "Main Bank Account" Line item.

1. In case of Business where payments are made centrally it is important to report
    Bank A/c Business area wise.
2. However I have solved the problem by doing "Sustitution", and its working fine. The Business Area is getting updated against the Main Bank Account Line item.
3. I am however getting one error while doing the upload in FF_5. The error occurs
   only if Business Area is a "required" field in Bank Account's "Field Status
   Group".
   Error: (00 298) Formatting error in the field COBL-GSBER ; see next message.
   But if I make Business Area as an Optional Field I am not getting an error and
   also the posting is done to Main Bank Account.
Is there anyother method by which this error can be corrected.
I have assigned 2 points for your inputs. Can you help me to solve this error as well.

Rounding After a Certain Number of Characters

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to round a number off after a certain number of characters. I'm not looking to round a number off after, say, the third or fourth decimal place, but after the third or fourth number. For example, If I round off after 3 characters, then:
19235.6578 goes to 19200
1.95723 goes to 1.96
How would I go about doing this? Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. What I'm really trying to do is round off an answer to the correct number of significant figures. According to the rules for multiplying significant figures, the answer will have the same number of sig figs as the number in the operation with the least number of sig figs. To do this, what I thought I would do is find the length() of the least precise number in the operation and then round off the answer after that many characters. So, if the least precise number has four sig figs, the answer will get rounded off after the fourth number. Hope this makes what I want to do a little clearer; sorry for being vague.

Are the tracks limited to a certain length? If not, how do I increase the length of a track?

I have found that in the new version of GarageBand my tacks have been limited to some length, which i never had a problem with in the older GarageBand. What is the deal with this?

What kind of limit are you seeing? Does the bounced song appear clipped? Can't you add measures at all?
The only hard limit I know of is the size limit to the bouce file. You cannot share songs from GarageBand that exceed the limit for wav or aiff files while bouncing, even if you are exporting in mp3 format.

Are there any character limits to PDF keyword metadata?

I'm working on a project that involves scanning a lot of handwritten documents, so manually entering keyword metadata is key for searchability. Is there any character limit to individual keywords or the entire keywords field?

Well I answered the second part of my question myself. It turns out the keyword field in Acrobat has a 1,999 character limit.

I have been looking for The Hunger Games Books, but cannot find them to buy and download on from ibooks, are we limited to only certain books, or am I missing something

When you cannot find what you want at the iBookstore, the fix is to try one of the other ebook sources which also have free ereader apps for you device, like Kindle, Nook, Kobo, or Googlbooks.
