Are admins in different forests automatically adminis in the other forest after a trust is created?

    In Windows Server when you have a ForestA containing an admin and a ForestB containing
an admin, if a trust relationship between ForestA and ForestB is created will the admins have
administrative privileges in each others forest by default after the trust relatioship is created or does the
admin in one forest have to explicitly give the admin in the other forest admin privileges?

Hi,
Administrators won’t become administrators of another forest after forest trust is created. Actually, forest trust only provides a secure channel to allow authentication flow across forests, while it doesn’t assign any privileges/permissions
to administrators/users from the other forest.
In addition, Domain Admins group is a Global group, which means that it only contains members from the local domain, therefore, we can’t add users from another forest into Domain Admins group of the local forest.

I have 2 iPod touches for my kids, and I have an iPhone. Both iPods and the iPhone use the same apple id. When an app is downloaded to one of the iPods it automatically installs to the other as well. Why does this happen and how can I stop it?

You must have the automatic download feature of iCloud on the iPod. To turn this off, on the iPod you don't want the apps to automaticly download on, go to Settings-->Store. Under automatic downloads slide the sliders off for the things you don't want to auto download.

I have the same issue witha slight variation. The app icons that are grayed out and cannot be deleted are DUPLICATES of other apps that I already have. For instance I now have 2 Redbox apps - one works normally, the other cannot be opened or deleted.

How did you do that? Do you mean you sync to iTunes that had the ipad library?
The phone with the issue, settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - this will wipe the phone clean and then restore from your backup.

I understand that you have used the same account for many years, but the technology is also changing constantly. Years ago the standard was POP (Post Office Protocol), which was designed at a time when it was inconceivable that anyone would access their email from more than one device. When people started using multiple devices, for the most part they wanted to see changes on one device mirrored on another. A new standard, IMAP (Internet Mail Access Protocol) was developed. With iMAP the master copy of all messages resides on a server, and multiple devices are kept in sync with the server. So if you delete a message from one device it is removed from the server, and then removed from all other devices when they next sync. This is the same way Microsoft Exchange works. Other benefits of IMAP include the ability to have multiple mail folders that are kept in sync across devices. In your case you could use this to create a separate folder for each family member, so they could move messages to their own folder and not clutter up the shared Inbox. Most computer mail readers can even automatically sort incoming mail into folders based on the contents of the message.
IMAP is considered a "higher level" standard than POP. When you create a mail account iOS devices query the server and ask what it supports; if it says it supports IMAP then the account is automatically configured for IMAP. So if you really want POP you must fool it, as described in the link above. In my experience Android devices default to the highest level protocol also, and I suspect newer Blackberries do (although it has been 15 years since I used a BB).

Print jobs won't automatically drop from the print queue after printing

I just bought an Envy 7640. When printing multiple documents, the first print job hangs in the queue after it prints, which prevents subsequent jobs from printing. The first job continues to show a status of Printing after it prints the job. I have to manually go into the queue and cancel the finished job before the next job in the queue will print. Having to clear the queue manually each time a print job finishes is not an acceptable fix to the problem. How can I get the printer to automatically delete the print job after it prints like it's supposed to do?

I also found those instructions earlier, however, it doesn't apply to the problem I'm having with my printer. I don't have a problem deleting print jobs from the queue. As my previous post stated, when I print multiple documents, the first document prints but it stays in the queue with a status of Printing. Because it stays in the queue with the Printing status, it prevents the second and subsequent documents from printing. My problem is that I have to go to the queue after every single job prints and delete it from the queue to allow the next document to print. It's ridiculous to have to delete every job from the queue after it prints. The printer should automatically delete the job after it prints it, and then print the next job in the queue. How can I make the printer delete a job automatically after it prints it?? Can you please give me a resolution to this problem? Thank you.

In my Macbook Pro finder folder under All Images, there are duplicate files, but one is small and the other is full size. I wanted to clean up the files, but don't know why I have two of everything. Any Ideas?

In my Macbook Pro, the Finder folder has duplicate images in the 'all images' file. One image is small and the other is full size. First question is why do I have two of every image? Why is one small and the other large. Do I need two of everything? If not, which do I delete?

Nearly all images are JPG with a few GIF and PNG sprinkled in.
I opened the inspector so I do get info when opening each image, but it a slow process.
It seems that one image is around 70k while its twin can be up to 4Mb which is what comes unedited from my camera. Sometimes there will be 3 or 4 identical images in finder, but when I open iPhoto to see what ‘s really in the file, I find only one image, and it’s full sized.
Are all these extra images, even if they are aliases, taking up space on my drive? And should I delete them? The info bar says I have over 10,000 images, which is rather a lot for what I do.
I am unable to add the file size on the view menu as it is grayed out. Don’t know why it’s gray, but having that info on the screen would save a lot of time and fiddling with each image.
I am trying to resize selected pix so I can upload them to e-bay, which requires less than 70k. I have looked at resizing programs but most are for PC platform and not Mac, so I am trying to resize in the finder window under tools. Tedious at best. Any suggestions will be appreciated

I don't suppose it will be exactly the same on my ISP's webmail interface as Comcast's, but I've just checked the route I have to follow with my provider (Orange in France):
Log on to your email account in a web browser > Select Mail's Preferences > Select Forward my email to another mailbox.
If you don't have this, or a similar option, I'm afraid I'm stuck for other ideas .

That's what syncing does. It keeps the information on multiple devices "in sync" with each other. It is working as designed.
What are you syncing your iPhones with? iTunes, iCloud, Google Sync, Exchange?
If you don't want one phone to sync with the other, you'll have to turn off syncing on that phone, or change what it syncs with.

Yes, start with deleting your account on his device:
(Settings > iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Your Account)
In the next step, create a new account on his device:
(Settings > iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Your Account)
