Are AE CS3 cuepoints readable by Flash 8?

I'm having difficulty getting Flash 8 to read event cue points encoded with AE CS3. I have no such problem with the Flash 8 video encoder. Can anyone here shed some light on this?

Not really. This should work just fine as its basically using the same components. I could only imagine that something frowns on the marker comments not having the right data in them, but beyond that I'm at a loss as to what may trigger this misbehavior.

Disc Burner. Why are some files not readable or writeable?

I am trying to backup my friends computer files on a beige G3 (233 MHz). I am burning about 6 DVDs of AIF music files. Most of the files are about 30 - 40 Megs in size. Often I receive error messages on particular files that read:
"The operation cannot be completed because some data cannot be read or written.
(Error code - 36)"
Followed by the choices: "Stop" or "Continue".
I have a bad feeling that my startup disk is too small but I am not sure.
Most of the files work fine. However some of the files cause disc burner to not be able to use them in the disc image before I burn. Why would this be?
Here are the specifications:
Computer: beige G3 with two hard drives (one SCSI and one ATA hard drive) and a Pioneer DVR-110D DVD writer which is Apple supported (Apple system profiler indicates Apple supported on this DVD writer). My blank DVD disks are Sony Vermatim DVD-R (1 - 16x speed support). Although I think my beige G3 only writes them at about 2 or 4x.
I am using OS 10.1.5. My startup disk which has OS 10.1.5 in it is a 4 GIG SCSI disk. Is this big enough for a startup disk (for creating 4.5 GIG DVDs)? My files are on the second hard drive which is a 40 GIG ATA disk.
I have a bad feeling that my OSX startup drive is too small for disk burning - it is only 4 GIGs in total and OSX Disc burner (Disc copy) is first making a disk image on my startup volume before it burns it. Perhaps that disk image is too large for the startup volume. Is there any way I could ask OSX to put this disk image on the second larger hard drive instead (not the startup drive?).
Here is my process (I hope I am doing this right - I am new at this):
1. I first insert a blank DVD-R
2. A message pops up asking my if I would like to create a blank disc image for this disk (I think this is the typical Disk Copy utility window. I say "yes" and give it a name and choose the "DVD-R or DVD-RAM" option. (I am not sure if there are other important settings to choose here or better settings to use but I guessed the other options that seemed obvious. A blank disk image is created with an icon that looks like a DVD disk.
3. Then I drag my chosen files to this blank disc image. It takes about 30 minutes to copy over. Thats when I receive the error message that some files couldn't be "read or written". The other files work fine but it would be nice if they all worked.
Why would some files not be readable or writeable?
4. Then I choose file/burn in the top menu and the DVD is created. This takes another 20 - 30 minutes. At the very end of the process another message pops up saying:
"Sorry the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured (error code -28)" Followed by an "OK" button.
However all the files that made it onto the final DVD are fine - its just that its not all of the ones I originally chose in the first step when dragging to create the disk image.
Am I doing this the right way?
Why are some files not "readable or writeable" as it indicates in the error message?
Is my 4 GIG startup disk too small for this? or are the music files possibly corrupt? or could there be some other possible problem?

To follow up, I have some good news. After following your advice Kappy, it now works very well Thanks! Instead of using the 4 GIG volume for the OS, I am now using an 8 GIG partition on an 80 GIG drive. So now the OS has some room to operate. No disk errors occured on my first DVD
Now there was one problem. The second DVD burned gave me an error. I am not sure why but I am going to guess that because I had to installed the OS onto an 8 GIG partition maybe the OS needs to be rebooted in between disk burns because although 8 GIGs is certainly greater than the 4 GIGs I gave it last time, it still isn't a lot of space - maybe just enough to do one DVD at a time. Thats only a guess. So I rebooted to see if that clears the system out ready for the next DVD and I am trying to burn the second DVD again. If I remember I will report back. In any case, yes, this seems to be working. I hope this second DVD burns well too.

I tried to figure out what the current potential uses of
flash are.
So here is my list:
a) Ad banners for Web sites.
b) User interfaces for Web sites.
c) Games for Web sites.
d) Artistic interfaces for Web sites.
e) Media ( video, music, slide show, etc ) presentations for
Web sites.
f) Video communication ( chat rooms ) for Web Sites.
g) Commercial Presentations ( using projector or laptop ).
h) Educational Interactive applications.
Considering the list above, I would ask you all:
1) What did I miss in the above list ?
2) Are web sites with full flash user interface on increase
or are they getting extinct ?
3) What, in the above list ( or anything omitted in it ), are
the most prevalent uses of flash ?

Using Premiere Pro CS3 When exporting as flash file poor picture quality

I'm using Premiere Pro CS3. I shoot green screen in HDV and work in 1440 x 1080. I have been capturing files in Premiere and sending them to Serious Magic Ulta 2. I use this program for keying and adding virtual backgrounds. I save these files as avi. with a resolution of 1440 X 1080. I then bring them back into Premiere Pro for final edit. When I export these video's encoded as mpeg2 theyplay very clear. I am now trying to export as flv. with alpha channel background and the resolution is poor. I working on the transparent background with walk on spokespersons that overlay the HTML page. When In try to play them on my computer the adobe media player is what comes up. I have downloaded flash player but it doesn't select it to play the video. I'm running windows Vista Business platform. What am I doing wrong.

The capture and editing have already been done in 1440 X 1080. Should I use this resolution rather than trying to bump it up to 1920 X 1080.

Computer playback generally prefers square pixels. Make sure to set your output resolution to 1920 x 1080 using a Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR) of 1.0 or Square.

Flash CS3 publishes to ActionScript 3.0, 2.0, and 1.0 just

What are web sites like without Adobe Flash?

I'm new to the tablet world and am considering buying an iPad, but I understand that Adobe Flash will not be enabled when I browse on web pages. Can folks tell me how they've dealt with this, what are the consequences, etc. There must be articles about this? Thanks.

Songs that are imported manually from cds or flash drives are randomly deleting from my iphone 5. Sometimes I get an error -54 message first. Sometimes not. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

I have an iPhone 5 16g ios 8.2 and it keeps randomly deleting the songs I manually put on from cds or flash drives. The songs I purchased from iTunes don't delete just the ones I manually add. It has happened three times, once after I added 399 songs, once after I added 27 songs and once when I added 45 songs. Sometimes an error (-54) pops up but not always, it's just in an instant all the songs I put on are suddenly gone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes three times, reset all the settings on my phone and also restored my phone to factory settings. Nothing has worked. I have a 4th generation iPod and I have never had this problem. Any and all suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to Apple Discussions..
My first suggestion is to Repair Disk. Here's how:
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need to use a utility like Tech Tool Pro or Disk Warrior
Please post back and let me know how that goes.

None of the pictures on any site are showing and I have adobe flash player and VLC media player what do I do to fix this?

When I go to different sites the pictures that normally load with a flash player are not loading. The show broken picture signs or nothing at all. What do I do to make firefox more compatible?

I didnt mean for you to come up with it, the answer, but if there is someone like me who already has, who is posting to my problem. I didnt mean for rush to this problem but I am in a has hurry because I cant access my back office of my site due to this issue. So no disrespect I understand that this forum is volunteer . I am just unhappy with firefox always have been thats why I dont normally use it but with the new site I operate the office I access does use it. Adobe CS3 Pro & PDF files/Flash Paper

I created a website in Adobe Fash CS3 Pro and I was wondering if you can insert a PDF file into a flash website or MacroMedia Flash Paper which then would be an SWF file. If so, how can you do this. Thank you in advance.........

Flash is not handled correctly with Firefox. In an Flash Environment modules are re-initialized if other embedded flash modules in the main one are rotating

We develop flash modules for clients. In the latest Firefox with the latest Flash Plugin it happens that flash components are affected when other components are rotating .
For example if you open one of our demo's

and you click in the top on "MUSIC" a radio player will load. Before the Intro MP3 file is played completely, some modules that are embedded in that flash rotate, means they re-start. This never affected all other embedded modules but do now. The radio component simply stops playing. This does not happen in any Internet Explorer version and has worked with under Firefox before.

After putting those 2 flash components out the bundle we also see, that even if the rotating flash is loaded separately and another for example audio streaming flash module is running, once the stand-alone rotating flash module is starting back at frame 0 it affects all other flash modules on the same page, even if they are not connected to each other. This is a serious issue.

Printing Slug Area in CS3?

Hi, folks,
Our documents have Comments boxes in the slug area of the page that an InCopy CS3 user would like to be able to print out in Layout view. I don't see that option in the Print dialog; since these Comments boxes are part of the article, the user could print out the Story & Galley view to get them, but it might be difficult to match up which Comments go with which pages.
Is there any "tricky" way to get the slug area to print in Layout view -- or even an obvious way that I'm missing?

Please try to do the following :
Step1:
Is your table header defined separately means as a separate template. Then check Template Node -> Output Options --> Check Shading.
Step2: Check the Window in which the table defined.
Step3 :
Table Node -> Output Options Tab--select Header --> Set Shading as 0 and Apply/Set and dothe same for all the columns defined in Header.
Step4:
Please check the pattern used for table (May be you have used pattern contains shading) to another pattern.

Flash CS3 says"Error creating Flash movie...not enough memory available."have 100GB of virtual mem

With large .fla files I often can't get Flash to output .swf files. Usually I get the message "Error creating Flash movie. There was not enough memory available." Sometimes though Flash looks as if it has finished publishing (although slightly too quickly to have really done it), and then there has not been a .swf file created.
Sometimes it's simply a matter of restarting Flash and trying again a few times until Flash decides to cooperate. But now I have a file that just seems like it will never output. My computer has 3 GB of RAM and 100 GB of virtual memory. The .fla file is 152 MG and the .swf would probably be about 20-25 MB.
If there is a workaround in CS3, that would be great. If not, I would upgrade to CS5, if I knew that it would not have the same problem.
I was told by at least two people at Adobe support that the problem has gone away with CS5, but I downloaded the CS5 trial version, and it will not output a .swf of my project. In this case it doesn't give the error message, but just fails silently.

Has this memory limitation been fixed in CS4 or CS5? I have to say, I'm geting really fed up with having to
spend hours coaxing Flash to output .swfs. Is there a reason that it can't use the
3MB of Ram available to it?
