Are all 'maintenance programs' compatible with Firefox? I'd like to install one, but don't want to use one that will change my Firefox settings.

I want to install a 'computer maintenance program' but want to make sure that the one I use won't have a problem with or change my Firefox settings. Do you have any suggestions as to which program to use?

I actually want to use a different user interface language. I was able to install the spell-checkers and dictionaries previously, but I didn't know what to do with the UI language. I checked the links you kindly provided but apparently, the downloadable language packs are not compatible with Firefox 31, which they set up in my office. Is there any way to force the install?
I also checked out the locale switcher but since the language pack extension is not compatible with firefox 31... If you have time to spare, I would be very interested in finding out more about your desktop shortcut solution.
I use a mac at home, and language-wise it's so much better. My own profile is completely in English whereas my wife is in French, which simplifies things (I just made sure to tell her to use safari if she wants to browse in French!)
One solution I used in the past was to reinstall firefox in English, but I have to do that every time the IT guys update FF, and then, you don't want to stand out if you want to remain in their good graces.

I just bought a Creative Nomad MuVo TX FM MP3 player, only to find that it is designed for a Windows/PC environment. It does not recognise songs which have been loaded onto it through iTunes. Does anybody know how to fix this - or is it the case that only Ipods are compatible with Macs?

If I'm understanding you correctly, the Creative Nomad MuVO TX is appearing as a valid device inside the "Source" list of iTunes, but the files you copy over are not playable on the device? If that's the case, it's likely to do with iTunes having a default CD import file format of M4A and not MP3.

I'm not 100% sure what are you trying to achieve or what's the issue, but I will try.
It seems that you want to work with Firefox at your home computer while your work computer is on. I'm not sure if you want to use the information from your work computer or not. If so, you should look at Firefox Sync: [[What is Firefox Sync?]]
If the only thing you want is to open and use Firefox but not use the information that your work computer has, your issue is about the connection. I will invite you to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox (www.mozilla.org/firefox) and try [[Safe Mode]] if that helps.

Search option not working after updating Firefox. How can I correct this? Don't want to use Explorer, but will have to if we can't fix this.

Try to reset some preferences to the default with the SearchReset extension:

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
If there is a problem with searching via the default about:home page then try to reset the search engine used on the about:home page.
Reset the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone pref via the right-click context menu to the default on the about:config page and close and restart Firefox to restore the about:home page to its default.

What I'm trying to achieve is to have a chart which is influenced by 2 webitems: a checkboxgroup with 13 commodities in it and a dropdown with 3 versions.
Now, in the beginning the charts were only influenced by the commodities, so only the commodities were displayed in the legend that goes with the graph. Now, since the user can select versions as well, it is possible that the legend contains 13x3 items ==> 39 items in the legend (so it went from com1, com2, com3,... com13 to com1v1, com1v2, com1v3, com2v1, com2v2,...., com13v2, com13v3), which makes the legend to big. So I'm asked to make a new Chart item, which only displays the 13 commodities, if 1, 2 or 3 versions are choosen. In the chart it doesn't matter that the colours are the same for the different versions of 1 commodity.
What I already have done so far:
1) changed the text in the legend from com1v1, com1v2,... to com1, com2, com3,... so now in the legend there are 13 different texts at max.
2) made sure that the colours in the chart and legend are equal (so colour com1 in the legend = that from com1v1, com1v2, com1v3).
But now I need to remove the extra labels from the legend. If I change the list in the abap code before calling the function, the legend shows the 13 labels, but also blank labels for the dubble ones that shouldn't be shown.
Just another small note, the number 13 is just the max number of commodities, the user could also select less commodities and less versions at all times.

After adding song to library delete the originals. Then your folder is empty again waiting for more songs to add to library.
Do this only if iTunes is set to copy songs to iTunes folder when adding.

If this is an application that can use a game engine like Shiva or Unity3D, you can develop the entire game and test on a PC. You will still need a Mac (or run OS X from VMWare on PC) to build the application for submission to the app store, as well as to sign and deploy to your test device.
