Are any Houston Chronicle for iPad readers not reliably receiving their daily push notification from the app?

Ever since the update to ios 7, the push notification from the Chronicle has been VERY unreliable. Is anybody else having a similar experience?

1. Did you install any protection application on you iphone?
2. Please try to test push notification to see if any error message is received when Lync 2010 is disappeared from notification setting.

In most cases, you can't use a Debit card anymore. So, either redeem an iTunes gift card or use a credit card.

Try searching with Spotlight. Click the magnifying glass icon top right corner of your screen.
If you can't locate the apps, you can re download without being charged again.

I thought I was trying to help you. Please be aware that most replies you receive here are from fellow users like me, and most of us don't spend all our day on these forums and hence may not reply immediately. So patience is going to be helpful.

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

i have a macbook pro with mac os x 10.7.5.
i am trying to download and install mavericks, but when i press the "install app" it just thinks for a sec and then doesn't do anything.
is there a way to reinstall the app store or do a rerun to the 10.7.5 so it works or something?

I have the same problem. I click on the "Download" button, I see a bit of action in the top bar next to the right arrow key, then nothing.

It doesn't need a SIM to download apps if you have Wi-Fi. Can you describe this box a little more, or better yet, screenshot it?

Why isn't my mac smart enough not to turn itself off while downloading from the app store?

Is it turning itself off or going to sleep? If it is turning itself off, you may have a shutdown time in System Preferences/Energy Saver that is over riding and shutting it down.
In my personal experience, there are some activities that don't seem to register enough to keep the computer from sleeping/shutting down, so I set sleep to never until I'm done.

Is there any difference from when you buy software or you purchase the app from the app store?

I would like to buy Final Draft, but I'm not sure if I should buy it from the app store or go to their website and get it shipped to me. Is there any diference? Do you get more if you have the software shipped?

Update: An Apple rep called me today to update the status of my return. I was told that the replacements for the BLACK iPad 2's was still another 3 weeks out (at least) so they offered me a brand new WHITE 16GB iPad 2. I could have that or continue waiting. I opted to go ahead and accept the offer of a new white one. Worst case scenario if I don't like the white one I have buddy that just bought a 16GB black one that he would be willing to swap it.

While this could potentially be a hardwar issue:
Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
If the reset doesn't work, you may need to consider restoring the iPad to factory settings

But you could have viruses that may not effect an iOS device or even a Mac, but could easily be unwittingly passed on to PC users. So, if you send and receive a lot of email with attachments,and many of your receivers are PC users, you may consider whether you want to risk forwarding them a virus, etc.
