Perfect from day 1. Easy to set up but I made sure to glance through the DesigningAirPortExtreme802.11nNetworks.pdf that is available online so I had an idea of what to expect before I got started.
I don't have a hard drive hooked up but I did hook up a 512 MB Flash thumb drive to see how it would work. To the base station it is just another drive so it's the same thing as hooking up a regular hard drive. I tested it both formatted as an HFS drive and a FAT drive to see the difference in how it presented the drive.
I also tested the network connectivity in Windows XP using Bootcamp. I tried it both with the default drivers that get installed as part of Bootcamp and with the drivers from the D-Link DWA-645 which uses the same Atheros AR5008 chip set as my MacBook Pro.

I'm currently using a late-2009 24" iMac but it just isn't robust enough for some of the the programs included in CS6 (After Effects, Premiere Pro, for example). I'm planning to buy a new Mac, but I would like to know if there is one or more that has/have graphics cards that are specifically designed to work well with CS6, and if not, were I to purchase a Mac Pro, would I be able to replace the factory graphics card with an after-market card that does? If you are not in the 4K business --> I would go for the 32 GB & 27" iMac w/o Retina, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M mit 4 GB GDDR5 (CUDA support) will give you quite a good performance, i.e. with a Thunderbolt connected Raid6 system your 2K projects (including some color correction and other plugins) will work well and you can even use the system as 4k starter/test system.
If you in the 4K business you could use a full blown iMac Retina system with a GPU AMD Radeon R9 M295X mit 4 GB GDDR5 together with an already mentioned TB Raid6 system. As described from the forum-compatriots, this non-CUDA card doesn't perform too well on GPU accelerated functions of PPro --> but --> search this forum... you will be surprised....some workflows are nearly unaffected....
If you are in the high end 4K footage busine$$ and you apply a lot of external color correction to your 4k footage (e.g. BM DaVinci) I would go for a MPro with 2 D700 cards.

Since I downloaded the upgraded software, my charger that came with my phone says "this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone" It worked before but now it doesn't...I don't think I should have to buy a new one...

Try checking your cable socket/lightning cable for dirt, grime, pocket lint, etc. I could not find the solution to this issue myself and after much searching I found someone stating that cleaning this out helped them immensely.
After taking a wooden toothpick (making sure the phone was OFF first) and gently clearing out the edges and inside of the lightning socket this went away.) It is worth noting that I had a significant amount of dust or lint buildup along the edge rails which I think was causing the iphone to believe it was plugged into something when it was not.
Try it and see, ensure you are very careful and do not use any conductive tools to clean the area in question. Compressed air also does wonders here.

What Drivers Work Reliably with HP 4100 on Windows 7?

This seems like a simple question, but I am having terrible problems getting my HP 4100 laserjet printer to work on Windows 7.   The printer easily installs a defalut driver HP4100 PCL6 automatically by Windows when plugged in. The problem is that this driver often fails on more complex images with PCL XL errors.   This problem is written about all over these forums, so I guess it is common.   I worked hard to substitute the HP4100 PS driver instead hoping this would work. I still have a minor windows error with that install, but the dirver is working. However, when I printed an Adobe pdf today that driver also had errors. This time the error is "undefined", offending command rE?!UW=.    With the PS dirver at least I get some printed output, but there are elements missing. This is getting very frustrating. Is there any driver that will work reliably with Windows 7? My Canon MP780 works flawlessly on Windows 7, but I don't want to use it except for important color prining because of the ink cost.
I don't know if this is a Windows 7 problem or not.   I just know that I used this printer for years on my old Windows XP SP3 computer (driver PCL5e, I believe), and I don't remember ever getting these errors.   What do people do today? Is there a driver that will work, or some setting that will get rid of these problems? I hope someone has had better success and can help me. Thanks.

I wish I had good news for you.   I ended up getting a parallel to USB adapter cable, and plugging the printer into a networked disk I had that had a USB print server built in.   This allowed me to select any driver I wanted because it is a networked printer.   I tried installing the generic driver that HP offers on the website.   This did work more reliably than any of the other choices.   However, I still got weird things printed from time to time.   I assume that the generic driver is just not quite up to snuff.    I ended up abandoning the HP4100 and, because it did not leave me with great feelings for HP, I purchased a competitive product -- which has worked very well for me.   If you can get the generic driver loaded, not one of the ones that Windows selects for you, you might be OK for most of your printing.
Note that you need to find the generic driver on the website.   This should not be difficult. Download and uppack the zipped files. (You cannot "run" the file; you must uppack the files manually.) Then, point to one of the unpacked files that is of the type the driver install software is looking for.   It has been quite a while since I did it, and I don't remember the file type now.

Printing problem in 2 programs started 2 days ago, only firefox ,works fine with Internet Explorer?

Banking web site has a "Print - Friendly View", text on the upper right side of the page which prints out the account information in a different format if you click on the text. All other print functions work ok. The problem is not their when using Internet Explorer. The other program is at Aflacs Web site, and the problem is very similar. When I click on the text that says "Print copy of Invoice" nothing happens, just like the bank text. They both work perfect with Internet Explorer. The problem started about 2 days ago. When it works right, a window will open up and show you what it is going to print and you click on the "print" text, and it prints. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Any OS version of 10.8.4 or later has all features that are not OS depended. The plugins are one example. You probably haven't updated all versions of Logic Pro X to the latest one.

This is an embarassment! What audio interface works reliably with 10.5.2?

For years Mac's have been the computer of choice for professional musicians and I was an early adherent dating back to the 80's and the first Apple MacIntoshes using MOTU Digital Performer V 1. I wandered away to PC land to do some C+ programming and recently returned with a brand new MacBook Pro only to find that the audio interfaces I have tried do not work with 10.5.2. I have tried a Firewire Interface from Tascam and a USB interface from M-Audio. Both created problems ranging from system crashes to simply not working. Is there an interface that works reliably with Leopard, 10.5.2? I can't try them all? The hardware manufacturers are scurrying to make their stuff work. Why is it so hard and why don't we hear more from Apple on this issue? Musician's have been a large part of the Mac universe. How about some support?

Ok, Bucesam, you're freaking me out. I do periodic recording with my PowerBook using a Firebox. I've used my MacBook Pro several times since I got it, too. I just upgraded the MacBook to 10.5.2. Are you telling me the next time I need it for remote recording it won't work? I can't take time to check now, but will, probably right before I need it. Dang. Like a complete idiot, I blithely overwrote the 10.4.11 backup after all seemed right with 10.5.2. If anything, I would have expected even better core audio implementation in 10.5.
Enough of my ignorant hand wringing. Can someone who knows what they're talking about (not me) speak to this before brucesam and I commit sepuku?

I understand all of this Meg; that is why I bought an Iphone; but never expected my phone not even give a at least a 24 or even 12 hours....I work 12 hour shifts and also would expect to have to charge each night but not twice a day or more. I am not always somewhere I can charge my phone.

Not only is it annoying and concerning...this is draining my battery, as the iPhone keeps waking up to display the message over and over. Like "MartinLegodi" above, I also have no cable or accessory plugged in and only use Apple cable and products when I do.

If you're using it in bright light, you may be getting sunlight through the back of the machine which can wash out the display. The Apple logo on the back of the lid is actually a cut-out that uses the systems back light to make it glow. Bright light (especially sunlight) can actually shine through the back. As the users in the login are typically in the middle of the display, this is the area most likely to be washed out as that is where the Apple logo is. You can try just putting your hand over the Apple logo on the back to block the sunlight when trying to log in.
