Are apple going to stop updates for the iPhone 3GS
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if apple are going to stop the updates for the iPhone 3GS and will the apps always work with this iPhone?
At some point in time it's inevitable that the iPhone 3Gs will reach end of life and will no longer be capable of handling updates to iOS, just like the 3G and original iPhone before it.
When is not known, but eventually, it's a near certainty. Just like you can't get updates for older Android phones that no longer meet the minimum requirements for the new versions, or factory original parts for your 1968 Dodge Dart.

Hi everyone, I just got the new iOS5 update for my iPhone 3GS. I receive a message saying that "Your SMS mailbox is full. New messages cannot be recieved until you delete some messages." This new update for the iPhone has me troubled. Nowhere did I see where it was only good for 3GS,4S and or 5 or all. Is this update also good for the 3GS? I'm reading people are having trouble.
iOS 6 can be loaded without problem on the 3GS. Not all features are supported however.
With respect to your reading people are having trouble, what did you expect to see on this technical support forum? People don't write in to state they have a trouble-free upgrade. -

Is AppleCare going to be available for the iPhone 5?
Title basically explains everything. I contacted Bestbuy to see if they knew but all they said is they know they're going to offer their warranty which is almost $300 for 2 years. So, I was wondering if AppleCare+ was going to be available for the iPhone 5 at the price it was offered for the 4S? ($100 for lifetime) Or would it be more?

Whilst synching to my PC it said there was a software update for the iPhone.
It is now stuck with a message saying connect to iTunes. I've tried resetting it in various ways but it still comes back to Connect to iTunes, but it won't.

in Windows 7 RC I always get a update for the iPhone configuration software,
but always to version 2.1, so I get a update, to the version I have.
does anyone know why this happens?had to reinstall windows, and now it's fine...

No. The post you responded to is nearly 7 months old. At the time, 4.3.3 was the most current version for the 3GS. As of now, 5.0.1 is the most current version for the 3GS.

I got a bargin on Belkin silicon bumpers for my Iphone on order from the Apple online store. The retail Apple sales guy told me that its a best one to get and for the price, it was a steal. I agree with him since I know Silicon is a good impact protector and the streamlined look if it is pleasing to the eye. It doesnt however have a circle hole in the back of the protector to showcase the Apple logo, which I find ok for two reasons, it hides the logo thus making the phone harder for thieves when out to ID it as an Apple Iphone and two, it strenghtens the case making it a better impact protector for my incoming Iphone.

Last night i was downloading the new update for the Iphone4 on my laptop through Itunes. After the download was done, it was starting to install, and then an error came up and didnt get a chance to check it. Now my Iphone is stuck on the screen with the USB pointing to the Itunes Icon and wont do anything else. Any advice on how to get this fixed, or do i need to go to the Apple store and have them look at it.

Marware looks like they have some options. Some may be out of stock on the site, but other vendors look to have them if you do a google search for the model you want.
