Are Apple products offered at Walmart for less the same as offered at Apple store?

The Apple Mini is offered for less at Walmart and other stores...
Are Apple products sold for less at non Apple Stores the same??????

The only officially "authorized" seller of refurbished products is the online Apple store; that means that the product carries an Apple warranty and you can add Applecare. Other stores may have refurbished products; however, that means that they may have taken an iMac back, repaired it themselves, and are selling it as a refurbished machine - in that case, there is no Apple warranty, but there may be a limited warranty furnished by the seller.

  • Why contacts birthdays are being showed in iCloud calendar all with the same age (11 years)??

Why contacts birthdays are being showed in iCloud calender all with the same age (11 years) ?? There is a solution to solve this problem ??
    Thank-you

I cannot agree more with your comments! What a way to frustrate your customers!
I have been having an issue with iCloud on Mac where it kept asking me for my password and sometimes would, sometimes would not continue to access my iCloud mail. Today it just refused to connect to iCloud mail.
I looked in the Mail, Contacts and Calendars in my MacBook Pro settings and discovered that 2 iCloud accounts were present. One with my original Apple ID (a gmail address) and a second with my new iCloud email ( an @me.com address). Having deleted the second account, using the new @me.com address everything is working fine.
So from my viewpoint when I moved over to iCloud I was asked to sign in with my Apple ID (the gmail address) then to create an @me.com address. However, as far as I can see all sign ins to the new @me.com account on Macbook, iPhone and iPad need to be done through the old Apple ID (the gmail address). Is that confusing and just plain crazy???
Further, after creating the new @me.com address I soon found out that this is apparently now forever bound to my old Apple ID and cannot be changed. I mean why can't I delete the iCloud account and start anew with a different @me.com address??? Also, as everybody using iCloud must create an @me.com address why on earth can I not get rid of my old gmail address and have my entire Apple ID accessed through the new @me.com address? Creating a whole new Apple ID will not solve this as we are unable to transfer purchases between accounts.
Apple products are great IMHO, but they do seem to not think things through in a very big way sometimes......

  • Are "working copies", "project files" and "editing files" the same thing?

    Hello.
I have just joined the Adobe Forums as a newbie starting right at the bottom. I am still unfamiliar with the terms "working copies", "project files" and "editing files".
I wonder if someone will help me to know the difference between these terms.
I have just started the Dreamweaver tutorial, "Creating your first website, Part 1: Set up your site and project files" (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/first_website_pt1.htm).
The tutorial read, "You've now defined a local site folder for the Check Magazine site. This is where you keep the working copies of web pages on your local computer.".
Are "working copies", "project files" and "editing files" the same thing?

Why would the raid level make any difference at all?  My data files are all stored on a RAID 4 system and seems to do pretty well.
    Murray *ACP*,
If I may elaborate on this,
being completely new to Dreamweaver, my reason for having wondered whether it would be a good idea or a bad idea to have these files on disks that are in RAID 0, was because the term project files in the Dreamweaver Tutorial had me thinking of Premiere Pro project files and the performance increase working with such project files in a RAID 0 setup, which (provided there is backup) is especially beneficial if you have large or complex projects, long time-lines and a tight deadline,
especially considering that as fill rates of disks go up, and as the number of disk activities on a disk go up, performance goes down, sometimes by 50%, and that the more tracks you have in your project, the more strain is put on your disk, and the more applications you have open, the more your pagefile is used, especially on systems with limited memory.
Therefore, as RAID 0 offers the best performance increase over a single disk,  I immediately thought of the concept of project files related to Premiere Pro when I came across the term project files in the Dreamweaver Tutorial, being unfamiliar with the definition of project files in Dreamweaver world, hence my need to define project files related to Dreamweaver with reference to disk setup and file management.
However, if I understand correctly, my conclusion is that RAID 0 is not necessary for Dreamweaver project files, since the local site is not disk intensive, unless you have a huge website to build ?
Also, if I understand correctly, in website design, you want to minimize local files and use your hosting company to store and retrieve info from ?

  • Are SUN StorEdge c2 and  Sun Storagetek C2 the same ?

    Hello All,
Are SUN StorEdge c2 and Sun Storagetek C2 the same ? or are they 2 different products.
    Thanks
    Venkat Jupalli

mmmmn, not sure about this one, but I would assume that moving from StorEdge to Storagetek is brand name related and came about from Sun Microsystems' acquisition of StorageTek late '05. Call marketing for more information.

  • How the **** do i get back my library i was just using. No didn't save image or restore been using it for months the same way no tells me to choose or create a library and my previous versions don't recover

How the **** do i get back my library i was just using. No didn't save image or restore been using it for months the same way no tells me to choose or create a library and my previous versions don't recover. Please help I just deleted all doubles did allmy artwork Etc..

Do you have a back up?
If not you're into using file recovery software like  File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

got an iphone 3gs as gift, but for unlocking the same the company is asking for a bill. Where do i get one?

The company is asking for a bill to ensure the account has been payed off / qualifies for unlocking. The company will also need the information to log any requests.
    Solution:
Get in contact with the origional owner of the phone and have them contact the previous carrier to get it unlocked.

  • HT5622 What if I have children who have their own apple products but I want them on the same apple ID as me and we want to use imessage?

We have a few iphones and one apple ID.  We only want to use the one apple ID as they are children and I want to have control.  How can we imessage between us and different phones without everyone getting the imessages on each device?

Settings>Messages>Send & Receive...you can adjust here. There is no other setting to adjust.
What you want to do is really not the best approach. Everyone can continue to use the same Apple ID for iTunes content, but for everything else...FaceTime, iMessage, & iCloud, everyone really needs their own Apple Id for things to function properly & as designed.

  • Are Apple stores (not online) selling the iphone 4 SIM free?

    hi,
i read in several places that buying the iphone 4 from the apple online store will get u a SIM free version. i wanted to know if you go to the Apple store, can we still get the iphone 4 SIM free straight from the store. Or is getting the iphone from the online store the only way to get it sim free?
Please provide any info you might have
    thanks

Theoretically, yes, you should be able to walk into an Apple store and purchase a sim free iPhone.
However, if you were thinking of doing this on 24th, then I would not bother, unless you have either pre-ordered or reserved for in store pick up. You probably will not get one on launch day, unless you are prepared to go and camp outside your local Apple store from perhaps midnight on Wednesday, or 3 or 4am on Thursday.
I am sure there will be lots of disappointed people on launch day who come away without a phone. Unless you have reserved, then I would wait or go and order directly from the Apple UK store and you will get it delivered by July 14th then.

  • How much are apple stores selling the old versions?

since the new versions arent out yet? havent been to the apple store yet. How much are they selling the old stock?
    in canada?
does the edu discount apply still?

I am not definite about the price, but I got mine (the older, late 2006 model) at $950 (Combo / 1.83ghz/ 512mb / 60gb) a week before the new ones came out.
Wait it for a little more and I'm sure the Apple stores would sell the old ones cheaper.

  • Are Apple Stores in the US filled with noise?

I have a MacBook that has serious problems with its fan. The thing is always spinning and makes a whiney, grindy noise.
I've taken this machine in to the Apple Store in Tokyo two times to demonstrate the problem. But the "Geniuses" can never heard the fan noise.
Why not? Because the store has LOUD MUSIC constantly blazing from speakers mounted in every corner of the store. This is a tactic that I guess Apple believes makes the shopping experience exciting, but to me its annoying and makes it nearly impossible to get issues resolved with the "Geniuses." Half the time, you have to nearly shout for them to hear what you're saying. It's like trying to conduct business in a rock 'n' roll nightclub.
Anyway, I'll be traveling to the States soon, and I'm wondering if they blare music in the Apple Stores in the States, too. If not, Or, is this just a Tokyo thing?
    Thanks,
    GeeKay

Yes it is in the U.S. too. I would ask them if they have a quiet room in the back. If not, suggest to their manager that they get a soundproof room because some things must be listened to in a quiet room to detect such as fans, scratching hard drive and optical disc platters, stuck eject mechanisms, and the famous POST startup test (on Intel Macs, 1999 to 2005 Macs, pre 1999 Macs) and power supplies which have shorts usually only emit sounds that can be heard in a quiet room. Sometimes they are too noisy to detect the startup chime, which can be a real problem when resetting the PRAM, as you don't want the PRAM reset to go through too many startup chimes.
Edit: another observation is that it is so noisy, if you even walk into a quiet room after being in the store, it takes a few minutes before your ears adjust and are able to listen to ambient noises again.
