Are both the same thing

Does "Oracle Net configuration Assistant" and "Net manager" do the same thing or there is any difference. I am not into network administration and was just having a look at the option and was curious about it.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, to some detail. CA is step-wise and Net man gives more control or better overview. Underlying files are found in $OH/network/admin (*.ora).

  • I was wondering why the iPhone 5 has the option for a battery percentage and the iPod touch 5g doesn't? I mean... they are almost both the same thing... just the iPod does not have the phone.

I was wondering why the iPhone 5 has the option for a battery percentage and the iPod touch 5g doesn't? I mean... they are almost both the same thing... just the iPod does not have the phone.

One likely reason is the % battery is not that accurate because of the smaller battery capacity in the iPod compared to iPhone and iPad. Users why use a % battery app post that the % reading changes a lot.

  • Bug Report iOS 7 iTunes. Since it is repeatable on 3 iPhones and 4 iPads here, I'm sure others are experiencing the same thing. Apple, might want to take a peek at this. When a tv show or movie is deleted from Videos, the Videos app shuts down.

Restarting videos works and looks like video is getting deleted.
    Just a bug report

You might want to report that to Apple instead of to the other users in this forum.

  • How do I transfer my songs from my old computer to my laptop? They are both the same iTunes account

How do I transfer my songs from my old computer to my laptop? They are both the same iTunes account.

These are two possible approaches that should work to move an existing iTunes library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase are reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where computer has died with no backup then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I have a macbookpro with a second monitor connected using an Apple connector.  The two screens show different parts of the desktop.  My cat walked across the keyboard touching various keys, and now the two monitors are showing the same thing.  How do I undo what the cat did?

Have you tried HELP in FINDER?  If you open HELP and enter 'displays' in the field in the upper right hand corner you will get a list of topics on setting up monitors.  Specifically read 'Setting up multiple displays to show the same image' and 'Setting up multiple displays as an extended desktop'.
    Ciao.

  • Mini DVI and Mini DisplayPort are not the same thing!

I bought this "Mini DVI to DVI" adapter thinking it would hook up my Epson projector to the new MacBook Pro:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9321G/B?fnode=MTY1NDA3Ng&mco=MjE0NTE2OA
BUT tonight I found out it is NOT the right thing. The adapter I need would be "Mini DisplayPort to DVI (or VGA)"
I found the full sized DVI ♂ and ♀ ends of the adapter and projector cord I do have don't "mate" right either. The pins have a slightly different arrangement!
I just want to warn anyone who might stumble in the same place. I'm off to my local Apple Store to return the adapter for one that will fit one of my projector inputs with a Mini DisplayPort plug on the other end.

  • DDNS Lack of Options. Only DynDNS and TZO (which are now the same thing)

DDNS is an open standard. Why not let us put in any URL for a DDNS server we want?  Or at least expand the list of them to the many many other DDNS providers out there.
The buy in/bait and switch is:  those two free options went to one free option went to no free options: PAY THE MAN.
That's not right.  We shouldn't be forced by your Firmware into a new fee arrangement that we didnt' have up front.
Easy fix in the firmware, if you would...

I noticed that too. I guess most routers these days as well has already been following the same standard, which made me think that this aspect has definitely fallen as a product limitation. Right now, we are only torn of choosing between the providers supported by the routers.

  • My ipad refuses to recognise my Apple ID but my phone does. They are both the same so why?

For some reason my iPad has decided that my Apple ID and/or password is incorrect. My iPhone however is fine, although for some reason this won't now let me join a wireless network it previously recognised, in fact I can't join any network on my iPhone but I'm fine with the iPad.
My dilema is I need to upgrade some Apps on the iPad and now I can't.
    Anybody got any suggestions?

You would need an IMAP email account in order to do that.

  • Ask your question. Are synching and backing up the same thing?

My phone automatically synched when I plugged it in to my computer.  I was told to back it up before I did an update.  Is synching the same as backing up?

First thing done every time you sync is an iPhone backup, and no they are not the same things.

  • Is FC analyser and Fabric analyser the same thing?

    Folks,
Is FC analyser and fabric analyser in MDS series switches the same thing. I am confussed. Also,
Does the FC analyser has a Test based ( Etherreal) and GUI based interface? has anyone installed the GUI interface? which one is better?

The Cisco "Fabric Analyzer" that is included with the MDS is a tool for monitoring control traffic on the switch - in other words, anything that passes through the Supervisor module. It has both interfaces, or you can export the traffic to a file and look at it later with another GUI (ethereal) if you like.
You can also use a SPAN port to monitor all traffic on a specific port. Perhaps this is what you are referring to as "FC Analyzer". Typically you would use a PAA to capture the traffic using ethereal or maybe a hardware protocol analyzer. ($$$!)
So, to answer your question - No, they are not the same thing (if my assumption about your description is correct).

  • Tried to delete an app and iPad froze. Screen jumped around. Could not pget it to shut down. Not just mine. Daughters did the same thing.

Tried to delete an app on iPad and it locks up everything. Screen jiggles. Can't shut off. Can't get the message to power off. Not just my iPad. Other family members have same trouble.

Then please accept my apologies. I truly am sorry. After reading tonefox's response, I had second thoughts. I had an entirely different suggestion posted but I edited it for that reason.
However, I do find it really odd that other family members are experincing the same thing unless.... Did you all download the same app and you are all now trying to delete it? It could be a corrupt app.
Please don't be offended by this either, I am just trying to help.... Did you all download something from an unsupported site or store? Or are your devices hacked?
DId you try resetting the devices by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen?

  • My 2 monitors are showing the same display

I have two monitors connected through an hdmi splitter in the hdmi port but they are showing the same thing.  How do i get it to show different displays?

One HDMI port only supports one video out signal. If you want to uses extended  desktops (vice mirroring which you have)  yo have to use two different video outs on the Mini.
You can uses a mini display port to HDM converter and connect the second monitor to that adopter.

  • My pc has a virus I just downloaded song from pc to kids ipods now both ipods are not working correctly could the virus be in the ipods,  if not why are both not working doing the same thing right after unplugging from pc.

Can an ipod get a virus from a pc that has a virus.  After connecting two different ipods to my pc to download music they both are not working correctly, could the virus have transferred to the ipod,  if not why would both ipods not work and be doing the same thing?  When trying to click on a game it just stays on the main screen.

    - I have not heard of a virus that can cause problem with an iDvice that has not been jailbroken.
    - Try resetting the iPods. nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Do you hve problems with one game? The same game on both iPods?
    Other apps?
