Are case components interchangeable between different models of Macbooks?

I have a really beat-up, but working, Macbook 2.0 and a dead, but pristine-looking, Macbook 2.1. Can I use the case components (top case, bottom case and display assembly) from the Macbook 2.1 to replace the broken case components in the Macbook 2.0, or are there enough differences to make it not fit right?
I'd love to get the older Macbook looking like new, since it works well. The newer one has a bad logic board, so it's not worth fixing.

Hi Marcel,
my VC worked very well during almost 2 weeks!
Now I've found a clue:
a VC on another portal (from SDC) has the same problem.
So I restarted my whole PC -- but no improvement !
A "strange" thing I did last night:
I left VC with a model open all night
with a waiting file dialog for GML import.
This seems to be harmful....
Actually I expected the session to timeout.
But VC worked some further steps this morning:
I cancelled the import and closed the model (to be safe).
Maybe the design screen was blank then
or one step before- I don't remember exactly.
Here a lot of numbers from my PC:
VC versions:   GML  700.10.0027
      clientserverflex+portal:  all  700.10.0.1
IE version is:   6.0.2900.2180.xsp_sp2_gdr.,.,.,.,
MSXML 4.0 SP2
Adobe SVG viewer 3.0
Adobe Flash Player 9 Plugin
SAP engine: NW04s, SP10 (7.0)  (from DWI)

Hi, I bought a Macbook in 2007/2008 and am wondering if it is possible to update my system so I can get the new version of iTunes?
Here are my current system details: Mac OsX Version 10.5.8
    Hardware Overview:
      Model Name:    MacBook
      Model Identifier:    MacBook4,1
Processor Name:    Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed:    2.4 GHz
      Number Of Processors:    1
      Total Number Of Cores:    2
      L2 Cache:    3 MB
      Memory:    2 GB
      Bus Speed:    800 MHz
      Boot ROM Version:    MB41.00C1.B00
      SMC Version (system):    1.31f1

The model 4,1 can run a maximum of 10.7 Lion.  The 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD is in the Apple online store. You can get it for $19.99. After you’ve installed that then download the 10.6.8 combo updater to finish it off. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 You will need to be running 10.6.8 to access the App Store to order Lion. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    System Requirements for 10.6:
Mac computer with an Intel processor
    1GB of memory
    5GB of available disk space
    DVD drive for installation
Some features require a compatible internet service provider: fees may apply.
You can upgrade from 10.5 to 10.6 with no problems as long as you have at least 1gb of RAM. Any program that runs under 10.5 should run under10.6. See this list for third party programs compatibility with 10.6: http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/  You might have to upgrade some drivers for printers, etc.... And you will have to install Rosetta if you have any Power PC applications
    http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/snow_leopard_installing_rosetta/
Once you are at 10.6.8 Lion is still available from Apple. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. to purchase it. Then within 3 days you will get an email with a code which you can use to download Lion from the App Store. Or go to http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6106Z/A/os-x-lion and purchase it there. The price is $19.99.
Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.
As for third party programs see this list for compatibility with 10.7 http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.

  • Transfer Prices between different departments in the medical center

    Hello,
Here are internal service sales between different departments in the same medical center. For example: Radiology center/department sells X-rays services for the cardiology center. We need the ability to sell a service to a different department in a different price than to an external payer/customer/insurance provider.
Is it possible to implement profit center transfer prices along with the ISH_CO integration?,
How is it getting along with the posting of internal activity allocation when services transfer to Controlling?
At standard the costs are allocated (by means of internal activity allocation) between profit centers. The responsible cost center (assigned to the performing organization unit) is credited and the case based order (which is assigned to different profit center) is debited.
Is it possible to implement transfer prices in case the performing organizational units are connected to the same profit center? (because some of departments are subdivided to several medical organizational units; and each unit represents a different cost center at the same profit center/department).
Do you recommend defining a different profit center also for each sub-department?
Do you have any other proposed solution for this issue?.
    Best Regards,
    Yael

Disclaimer - For me the Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico my first language is Spanish. I do not speak English, however I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture very different from that found in most 1st world nations, such as that in the two dominant North American countries. Written language has no tone. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
No, only the iPads specifically for CDMA networks are able to use those networks. I believe that the radio card has both, but it isn't activated on a GSM iPad.

  • Case (Sensitivity) changes between Data Mart and Tabular Model

    DM.Team.TeamName = "testTeam"
Run Full Process to Tabular DataModel
Tabular.Team.TeamName = "Testteam" (or sometimes "TestTeam")
Notice that the case on the first T is changing from lower case to upper case between the DM and the tabular model.  Why?  I've searched for an answer on this forum and elsewhere but other users problems are with duplicate entries with different
casing, but in my situation, I DON'T have duplicate entries in the tabular model.  It's the same entry from the DM but the case has changed.  Why?  It's almost as if it's trying to "fix" the casing.  After several more tests I've
found that if I have a mixture of upper & lower case characters, the tabular load changes the case to either all lower or camel case.  What is causing this behavior?
I've checked the language collation on both the DM Server and the SSAS Tabular Server and they are identical: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
I also checked the columns in the DM, specifically - the TeamName column contains the same language collation as the servers
This is occurring on one of our lab servers, but the same scenario works fine on my dev box - I've compared the 4 machines and they all appear identical.  Only difference is my dev box has sql server 2012 sp2 developer edition and the lab box has sql
server 2012 enterprise.  Also my dev box contains windows 8.1 and the lab box windows server 2012 R2 Standard.
Any help would be most appreciated.  Thanks.

Thanks.  I did look at the above post prior to submitting my question but my problem is different:

casing, but in my situation, I DON'T have duplicate entries in the tabular model.  It's the same entry from the DM but the case has changed.  Why?  I've checked all the other solutions to the duplicate problem and my configuration (as explained
in original post) appears to be correct to avoid duplicates due to case.  So, I'm stumped.

  • Forte Express - Assocaion Between Entities of different Models

    Hi Everyone
To my knowledge Forte Express doesn't have straightforward approach to establish relation between entities of various business models. Customization must be in-order to achieve the same.
It is possible to establish relations between sub-models of a business model
I have lack of knowledge about the latest versions of the Forte Express. I want to know if the latest version of the Forte Express provides any of the following:
    1. Customize the source code generation to seperate a single business model to multiple projects. Each Sub-model of the Business model corresponds to a new project. If my Business Model has 3 Sub-models, I want 3 projects.
    2. Allow establishing relations between entities of different Business Models while modelling itself.
    Thanking you in advance

  • Parts interchangeable between models (5.6TB, 7TB)

I was wonder if the parst and parts kits were interchangeable between the 5.6 TB and 7 TB Xserver RAID? If we have an older 5.6TB or a parts kit for a 7TB will they work together? or did Apple make changes in the base box (other than drives)

    Xserve RAID 5.6 TB / 7 TB   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Yes, all the parts are 100% interchangeable. Make sure you're on the latest (1.5) firmware.
Only thing is, obviously you don't want to use a 400 GB drives in a RAID set full of 500 GB drives. That would be bad. But the controller, battery, blower, and power supply are all interchangeable.
