Are crash logs copied back to iPhone during a Restore?
Are the crash logs that are copied to Itunes when you sync your iPhone copied back to the phone during a restore?
I was restoring my iPhone 5S as new and could swear some old crash logs were put back onto it.
Select the ones you want again via the apps tab when your phone is plugged in.

Many applications are crashing since I upgraded my iphone 4s to iOS 8.0.2
Unfortunately my iphone 4s has became unreliable and unstable since I upgraded to iOS 8.0.2. I cannot even go back to earlier iOS 7.1.2.
Phone is now very slow and many applications are crashing. Battery is draining like anything.
I tried options from internet to save battery, but whats the point of having iphone if I have to turn off the features to save battery.
Some of the applications which started crashing since I upgrade also does not exists anymore on store to get the their support.
Apple - when will these issues gets fixed ? or am I suppose to trash this beautiful piece of hardware just because of firmware issues?
Can you not at least allow people to go back to earlier stable iOS till you fix them?Vào Thứ Bảy, ngày 18 tháng 10 năm 2014, Apple Support Communities Updates <

My songs are not being copied to my iPhone and even the sync is not completing every time it just shows that changes are being applied but nothing is happening on my iPhone
Hello transcend94,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
Where are my iTunes files located?
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1391
iTunes: Understanding iTunes Media Organization
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3847
Avoid using different versions of iTunes, or you may be unable to locate content, or may import or transfer content to the wrong location.
Best of luck,

i backed up iphone 3gs and restored to iphone 5 got everything but my apps, backed up iphone 3gs and restored to iphone 5 got everything but my apps
Were the apps in itunes on your computer? If not, then they would not be transferred.
You will need to redownoad them. -
Are crash logs frequent with 1.1.4 firmware?
Every time I sync with iTunes (Mac), it downloads a number of crash logs. Most involve a process called "mediaserverd" and look like this, followed by a list of active processes:
Incident Identifier: B6086C0C-EAD2-44AF-8360-87C9A0F0879E
CrashReporter Key: 9400c58c24a430271f8cb30b0ac5a95f4e3994ec
OS Version: OS X 1.1.4 (4A102)
Date: 2008-03-23 19:27:25 -0500
33288192 bytes free
26066944 bytes wired
Memory status: 33
About to jettison: mediaserverd
Has anyone else seen something like this? Is this normal? I just restored my iPhone to 1.1.4 firmware about 2 days ago, so I don't think a restore will fix this.odysseus,
The first time you synced an iPhone that contained crash logs with your computer, you were asked if you would like to submit crash logs for that iPhone to Apple.
If you clicked "Yes" to that, the crash logs are not only synced to your computer, but also uploaded to Apple to be reviewed by our engineers.
Hope this helps,

Copy back (sync) iPhone content on virgin iTunes without losing everything
Hi!
Reinstalled OS on computer.
Precisely how can I sync my iphone content to virgin itunes 11.1.3 without losing all music and voice memos from my iphone?
Been using iTunes for years but absolutely can't figure out with new iTunes 11... thanks! Thanks mende1,
I don't understand why it's such an hassle. What I want to do (synchronize iPhone to computer iTunes) is so simple!
For example : I got around 50 important voice memos on my iPhone. Oldest one from December 2012. No matter what I do, it just copies on my computer iTunes the recent memos (2 weeks ago) and doesn't want to do the same with the oldest ones.
If I select the Music tab / Sync music, it always prompts me this weird message about the fact that my iPhone is synchronized on another iTunes library (which is true) on a computer I bought 3 weeks ago and brought back (and got refunded) to Apple today. It asks me "Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync it with this (VIRGIN!) iTunes library?"
Saved my iPhone and tried this option : TOTAL DISASTER. Had to revert.
Tried the third-party app Senuti : same thing happens. Just shows me new memos to transfer!
I'm getting crazy!! I just can't believe how this can be SO complicated!
Thanks in advance!

How do I reload purchased music on my desk top after a computer crash restored with back up external hard drive?
Hello Boogiec522,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you would like to download your iTunes Store purchases again to your desktop computer.
No worries there, you can re download them free of charge from the iTunes Store with this article:
iTunes 11 for Mac: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12283
Download previous iTunes Store purchases to an authorized computer
Click iTunes Store near the top of the iTunes window.
Click the Purchased link at the right of the iTunes Store homepage (below Quick Links).
In the page that appears, select a category.iTunes shows you which of your purchases are available for download. You can view all of your past purchases, or just the ones not currently in your iTunes library. Items already in your library aren’t available for download. If you select Music, you can view your purchases by song, artist, or album. If you’re viewing by album, click an album to see which songs on it are available for downloading. To search for an item, type its name or a keyword in the search field, and then press the Return key to view your search results.
To download an item, click its Download button .To download all available items, click Download All.
All the best,
Sterling -
After backing up iPhone and then restoring, apps not restored properly
Hey guys,
I've noticed something that's pretty annoying with iTunes (latest version) and my iPhone 4. After doing a full backup, and then later a restore from that backup, all of my data gets transferred over properly except for my applications. I think that only certain applications get transferred over and my apps don't end up in the folders that I created on my phone before the backup and restore process.
Is this expected? It's weird that iTunes remembers my music, photos, contacts, and other settings but totally gets it wrong when it comes to putting my apps+folders exactly the way they were before the backup/restore.I just had a similar problem with my 3G - I had done a full backup, and then later restored the backup. Everything was restored to my iphone except my apps. They all appear to still be on iTunes, but only a few were restored to the phone, and iTunes won't transfer any of the apps manually either. All are checked to sync, but none are doing it. Really aggravating.

I need help reading console crash log
My iMac crashed twice in the last 2 days which is very unusual. The first time the screen just went completely white, completely unresponsive and I had to reboot. Today, the screen suddenly went all green, completely unresponsive again and I had to restart.
I checked the Console and there are crash logs there under System Diagnostic Reports. Can someone [much smarter than me] help me understand what might be the cause? Thank you very much in advance!

I think I figured it out! On 2011.11.21 I talked to Apple Support on a scheduled support call. I recall that he had me install something to gain remote access to my computer to troubleshoot. That's what that app was for. They must use Bomgar software to do this. That being said, I am going to delete it.
Thank you for all your help. Additional comments? Please let me know. -
What does "Binary Images" mean in a Crash Log
I'm trying to understand the iPhone crash logs better. What does the section titled "Binary Images" mean?
I got a crash log from my own iPhone and it has 45 lines in the Binary Images section. When a customer from the App Store submitted a crash report to me, it had 78!
(Maybe they had a jailbroken device)
Any help or links would be greatly appreciated! The Binary Images comprise a map that shows the starting and ending address of every module that was linked to your app at the time of the crash. For example, if your app requires a dynamic library named dylibx, and the object code for that library requires 1 Mbyte of memory, when your app starts up the library code will be "mapped" into the logical memory space of your app (Logical memory addresses aren't physical memory addresses; at runtime your app will be assigned some physical memory and the logical memory gets mapped onto that).
So in the above example, the starting address of dylibx might be 0x30000000 so it's ending address would be 0x300FFFFF. You can use this info to find out which module owns the addresses given in other sections of the report. If you see 0x300ABCD you'll know that address is in dylibx.
Here's a fairly readable article on how to interpret a crash log: [http://www.sealiesoftware.com/blog/archive/2008/09/22/objcexplain_So_you_crashed_in_objcmsgSend.html]. As you can see, it's possible to get some clues from a crash log even if you don't know anything about the system or the hardware.
Hope that helps!

Photos.
They are on my macBook, backed up on time machine. There are 19,000+ of them, some rescued from a pc crash- which I used the nifty iPhoto to put back into date order.
I want to take them all off my laptop, now............as I need to use it for WORK!!
Copied them (hours and hours) to another external hard drive.
They are now in alphabetical order (all 19,000+ of them) NOT IN THEIR EVENTS or date order. (-They have also been taken with different cameras over the years and some of the generic camera numbering remains.)
I have tried to copy them (only a few as an experiment) one event at a time, but that again "opens up" the Event "folder" and tips them out as individuals and therefore just lists image letters and numbers alphabetically.
How can I copy
the whole library still in "Events" to an external hard drive?
the folders/albums I have already made on to this hard drive?
and how can I add to this back up monthly, again keeping events and folders separate and updated?
Mac is so user friendly - there must be a way.........
ThanksUPDATE : I have re-installed from disk, various apps that were no longer functioning such as iLife, iWork etc. So, I now can access my photos again.
Also, I had to re-install all the software for my printer ( Stylus Pro 4880 ) and reset it so the printer is working again.
Photoshop CS4 won't open. I think I will have to get in touch with Adobe as basically, I guess they have a built-in "blocker" which prevents me from opening the app as the license is for only 1 user and having re-installed the OS, there are now, in effect, 2 users ( Me and Me 1, I think ).
So, having added on a new external HD, Time Machine has made a copy of most of the files, folders, apps etc onto the external HD. The internal HD is still nearly full ( 220 GBs out of 232 GBs ).
I am guessing the way to go now in order to free up space on the internal HD is to delete/trash older photos from my iPhoto library and hope that if needed, I will be able to access them on the external HD.
Am I correct ? Please advise before I do something I will regret.
Thanks, Sean. -
I bought an iPhone 4 from a youngster who had put his own Apple ID on it but could not remember the password. I backed it up yesterday and restored to my new iPhone and it copied the Apple ID across too. Now I have 2 phones with it on. Anything I do?
that must be really annoying !!
so this is what you call
FIND MY IPHONE ACTIVATION LOCK Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support
when you start using iCloud on any iOS device and enable find my iPhone, this prevents a new user from using it, and also prevents anyone from using the phone
as it is locked to previous owners account ,this is also the case if when a phone is lost or stolen.
the only way around this is to have the previous owner reset their apple id by going to @ applied.apple.com
if they are unable to do this, then the only other way around this is to have the previous owner get a copy of their original receipt and call apple support who can then lift this lock if they get a copy of the receipt
unfortunately there is no quick fix -> the below link explains what you should do before you sell or give away an iPhone
What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support -
Okay so i had an iphone 5. I backed it up on icloud. Then i got the new iphone 5s i restored ot from icloud from my previous iphone 5. Now everything works find execept now the games are slowy and drops the frame rate and look choppy. Then i restarted my iphone 5s as a new device downloaded the same apps even the ones optimized for ios 7 and the games still lag. And i just got my iphone 5s replace. The funny thing is. While im playing games and their running choppy and slow and if i take a snap shot inside the phone. They run smooth and HD but just for a few seconds and boom they go back to slow and choppy. Is it the ios 7 or the iphone 5s it self? Like i said this is my replacement iphone 5s because the other 5s did the same thing. And it was running slowly.
As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you. -
iOS 8 / iTunes befor sync all with my iPhone 6 (music and pictures) are Crashing. And when i scroll in my Photo library, increased it.
Shame problem to my ipad mini. But there i don`t can sync my music and pictures
If Steve jobs still alive you would never have published such software, befor everything would have worked flawlessly.
Dear would you let the customers wait another month. This would be the end product was great.
Best regards
DarioYou need to copy the iTunes liubrary from your Old computer, or its Backup, to your New computer...
See Here for one way
iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer
Or...
From your Old Computer... Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
Backup iTunes to an External Drive

An Added Bonus is that you will then have a Backup of iTunes...
