Are deduplication BS methods usable if deduplication is disabled for the OM/BC?

Good evening,
I plan to use Oracle EDQ as data quality provider for a Siebel CRM installation (>= 8.1.1.10).
And, I want to use the Deduplication Business Service Methods, in order to determine if records delivered via interfaces are duplicates or not.
The deduplication functionality (OM parameter, ...) needs to be disabled in that specific object manager where I will use the Deduplication Business Service Methods.
Does anyone know if the Deduplication Business Service Methods can be used if the deduplication functionality is disabled for a BC, as well as for the entire object manager?

You should be able to get some more precise information from your Xorg logs, but I would bet it is related to the evdev driver. Some of the options in your xorg.conf no longer work with the latest version. For now you should be able to either map your mouse directly to the appropriate /dev/event* entry or change to the standard mouse driver, both of those methods should be in the wiki.
You are supposed to be able to use the evdev driver without the input section of your xorg.conf by using dbus/hal autodetection, but AFAIK at the moment the xorg-server package still isn't compiled with hal support, so you would have to patch and rebuild the package.

We are trying to add extensions to a fusion Application. When i have created an Application 'Fusion Customizations Application'.
In the Role 'Oracle Fusion Applications Administratror Customizations', and in Customizable Archive, Some Business Components are Not customizable while some of them are Customizable.
getting below error in Log file
Customizations are disabled for the node "ProposedJobVO.xml" because it is not part of the project contentset.
Does this mean we cannot modify this VO or we need to do anything else to get these components included in Project Content Set?

"Customizations are disabled for the node xxxx because it is not part of the project contentset". This warning is logged if you try to open a node for customization in customizaion role IN FA environment from Application Resources->connections->customizable archive ,
as this node is not a part of project. In order to add it to the project you will have to right click on the node and select customize this will add the node to the virtual content set of project.
Now this node will be available under project and can be customized.

Are AASPs allowed to charge customers that will qualify for the 1st Gen iPod nano recall? There are no Apple stores in the Philippines, only AASPs. Early reports from customers claim that one of the AASPs is charging a 10% discounted price for the replacement. We need clarification from Apple if the AASPs are allowed to do this since this seems counter to what the replacement program is supposed to do. I will not name the AASP for now until I personally confirm the reports.

There are no Apple stores in my country either, i went yesterday to one of those AASP but they didnt charge me or said anything about a price, just checked the screen, wheel and frame i guess to see if there was anything broken because they didnt turn it on. Confirmed the serial number, gave me a receipt and told me to come back in six weeks with the receipt to get my ipod back. I dont think they are supposed to charge you

I have a project where I need to create an online application system, where the user has to fill in a form where the results have to be saved into a database.
I wanted to create a html based form, but then someone told me PDF can also do cool things, so I’m researching that road.
I already managed to create a simple form and submitting it to a web service (java servlet in my case) and that works pretty nicely.
I'm new to the whole PDF form creating and I’m wondering if certain things are possible. So I’m trying the experts in this form for a yes/no answer.
Are the following things possible with PDF forms:
1) validation: number & date checks, eg, a number should be higher than 4, or be a valid number/date
2) If I answer A at question 1, I should skip Question 2 and go directly to Question 3. Is it possible to hide Question 2, depending on what I answered at Question 1?
3) Is it possible to attach files to the form, like a photo? And also upload it to the web service.
4) After I submit the form, is it possible to lock the form so that no other changes can be made? In other words, you may only submit once.
5) Possible to activate the print button after the form has been submitted?
6) Can a drop-down lists be dynamic? Instead of hard coding the list, calling a web service to fill the values?

<answer> PDF does support the ability to have attachments. They would be includeed as part of the PDF so you woudl have to submit the entire PDF and then extract the attachments when you get the file to the server. Note that you will require to Reader Extend the document to allow a Reader user to add the attachment. This is not a requirement if you are using Acrobat.
Have to look into this one.

<answer> If you add a print button on the form then the answer is Yes. The application that houses the PDF will jhave print capabilities and that one is much more difficult to hide. You can set it up so that the form cannot be printed then return back the locked version with printing enabled but a round trip to the server is required for that.
Print button will be fine by now, probably also done by scripting

<answer> Yes but the form will require LiveCycle Reader Extensions if you are using Reader. Reader Extensions is not required if you are Acrobat.

Best method to compress a quicktime mocie for the web

I have a 30 second quicktime movie that is 112.5 MB in size. I want to compress it to be placed on the web. The audio needs to be great as I am a composer and that is of primary concern. I think that I would like to get it down to somewhere around 3 to 4 MB in size. What is the best tool to use? Is Compressor the easiest software to do this specific task? Thanks.

i tend to stay away from reference files only bcz in my experience, i have a lot of trouble when encoded using either compressor or QT Pro export.
2) When you export the movie once in Quicktime, what
Compression Type do you use? (I chose Sorenson Video
3, wasn't sure if that was the right one).
this is a difficult question, you can use either sorenson 3, or mpeg4 (i personally use mpeg-4 more for web) since they are both very good codecs. i guess with some testing, you can find the right one. technically speaking, QT supports both codecs, so playback would not be an issues unless the downloader does not have QT.
3) Is it better to do it this way than using
Compressor? Just curious.
once again, its my personal preference to use QT export bcz it gives you a lot of control, not as much as compressor, but enough, and i feel its more stable and it encodes faster with less resources (checking teh activity monitor) vs. compressor. if i could, i would use cleaner but its not supported by OS X (10.4x)

Hi gems,
I am creating repository with some subject areas from one of the Old repository which has no errors. New repository is giving error as
nQSError: 15001 Could not load navigation space for the subject area
nQSError: 15004 Internal Error: Missing Functional dependency association for the column
But actual for particular column n OLD Repository it is not giving any error
Can anyone help me why this is giving this error.

Hi Manu,
Please check if all the columns in the copied subject areas are having links to BMM layer and physical layer columns. If the pulled tables does not have proper joins with other BMM tables, it also will cause load naviagtion error.
While copying the subject area from another RPD you must have missed some objects or joins. Please verify.

Are there two different Core i7 2.0 Ghz CPU's for the 15" MBP?

I noticed on Geekbench that some people are getting Intel Core i7-2635QM @ 2.00 GHz CPU's and some are getting Intel Core i7-2620QM @ 2.00 GHz CPU's.
Same clock speed but different performance outcomes. The 2620 chip comes in around 6800-7000 in performance while 2635 gets 8800-9000 which is much closer to the i7-2720QM chip.
Intel does offer both 2620 and 2635 CPU's and I'm trying to figure out if different chips are being sent from Apple or if it is a case where some people chose the wrong CPU in Geekbench. However, wouldn't Geekbench automatically select the CPU that is is testing.

if i recall correctly - if you sync the same iphone it does restore your wifi passwords - but if you sync to a different iphone it does not (for security reasons)
