Are Genius Bar appointments logged to your apple I.D. or your serial number?
I took my MBP into the Genius Bar today and I completely messed up my description of what was up and the Genius gave me a quote for a part I know for a fact is functioning perfectly due to my lackluster synopsis. Anyway, my question is a simple yes/no question, please no answers offering alternate solutions. Just want to know whether Genius Bar appointments are logged on the system so they could see I've been in today if I wanted to go in tomorrow. If so are they linked to my Apple ID or MacBook serial number? If it's the ID it's fine as I can use my Dad's but if it's the serial number I can't really take it in again. Just a yes or no answer please. Thanks guys
Even though you have specifically asked, why are you worried about a second appointment with a different ID. The serial number is already registered to an applied if it was originally set up that way. You can check that in https://supportprofile.apple.com .

I was understanding that I had 3 years after my initial warranty to schedule 1 on 1 or genius bar appointments. paying $99.00 per year. I was informed that my subsription has expired ? I have been out of town, can I renew my subscription for another term?
One to One can be purchased with your computer if you buy directly from Apple. The cost for one year is $99 renewable twice. Genius Bar appointments are scheduled at no cost to you. Genius Bar appointments are not as lengthy as the personal training appointments. Genius Bar is usually for diagnosis of a hardware failure or software issue. GB is not usually a tutorial session.

can any one tell me what is that mean..... replace what ?In most cases, what you said is true...however, this is not always the case. Take myself for example...
1: I posted my phone online to sell
2: Someone saw my serial number and called AppleCare to get a replacement phone
3: An inferior AppleCare representative bypassed a component validation (check serial number to the device on hand) and approved the replacement under my AppleCare plan.
4: After noticing this (about 4 days after it happened) and a trip to Apple and a call to AppleCare, all was resolved. My phone is back to being covered under AppleCare+
5: I learned my lesson.
So, as you can see, there is a chance that it can be something else. Although, if the person selling the phone notices, it shouldn't take long to resolve it. Chances are that it is what you said.

I had purchased an iPhone 5 last month and got the OS updated to iOS 7, yesterday.
The data cable was of very bad quality and when I took it to the retailer for replacement, they said that its not covered under the one year warranty.
Secondly, I have also been experiencing network coverage issues with this phone. So, I decided to contact apple care through the web. When entering my serial number/IMEI it says, "We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us."
Does anybody have any idea what the reason behind this could be.

If you can see it on the map of this app, you will know where is your iPhone in that moment.
REMEMBER: you can see your iPhone on the map of " Find my iPhone" only if it is online. Indeed you can't see your iPhone if it's offlined or switched of. -

It sounds like you need to disable your iPhone remotely. I'm sorry to hear about your phone! The only way to do this with is Apple services is if you had Find my iPhone enabled. You have 2 options:
You can use this article to put the phone into Lost Mode and preserve your data on it, but prevent access to it:

Hi, I buy iPhone 4s 16G white new today, but when I check serial number on apple support, that is invalid serial number, the serial number is not recognised. Then I check by using IMEI, "our records indicate that this product has been replaced. Please provide the serial number for your replacement product to find the support and warranty coverage information. What is replacement product really is? I am still confused. Well, when you purchase from a non-official source you run the risk of getting who knows what from wherever. It appears this phone was replaced under warranty at some point, but not returned to Apple for refurbishment. Thus, the SN is no longer valid for warranty & service. If you can return it and get your money back, I'd suggest you do so. -
