Are HTTPS probes supported in Cisco devices ?

Hello,
I am aware Cisco supports HTTP probe types. Are HTTPS (HTTP Secure) probes are supported in Cisco devices too ? If so from which IOS version ?
Your comments are very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi ,
As per my understanding there is No IOS code which support HTTPS opeartions , Only HTTP operations are supported as of now.

What are the features supported in Cisco Prime Infrastructure for WLAN for autonomous AP’s?

    • PI provides visibility for autonomous  clients within the same list view as lightweight and wired clients (client list  page).
    • Rogue AP detection for autonomous AP's is not supported (it's  supported in CUWN).
    • Alarms/events for client authentication issues (e.g.  authentication failure) are displayed in PI.
    • Config management for  autonomous AP's is via CLI template.  Config comparison and archiving  functionality in PI leverages these same features that were brought in from LMS,  so need to defer to others in terms of whether this is a cross-platform feature  in PI or is only supported on a subset of platforms.  Config comparison/archive  is supported in CUWN.PI supports both infrastructure (e.g. AP Tx Power and  Channel, busiest AP, AP utilization, etc.) and client (e.g. client count, client  sessions, etc.) reports, and there are extensive reports for CUWN

  • HTTP Probe support for ISE guest service

    Hi all,
I am currently trying out the guest feature of the ISE and I noticed that clients won't get probed via HTTP when accessing the guest portal and I am curious why? The WLC is currently running version 7.0.116.0 and thus is only able to support Local Web Authentication.
I configured the Layer 3 authentication of the SSID to use External Web Authentication with the link https://ISE:8443/guestportal/Login.action where ISE is the domain name of the appliance. I also ensured to use the MAC address as the Calling-Station-ID.
I successfully get to the portal, but when I check on the endpoint afterwards, no user agent is recorded.
Is there any way to instruct the ISE to fetch this information via local web auth?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Cisco ACE Mod 30 - HTTPS probes are failing after hardware replacement.

We recently had a hardware failure on ACE Mod30. The replacement went in relatively painless (except for having to import about 100 SSL Certificates and Private Keys).
However, on the new ACE, the HTTPS probes are failing for all contexts using them. We can work around this by using TCP-443 probe, but the customer prefers that we actually request a logon page to ensure that the application is running properly.

    Hi,
For HTTS Probes to be successful, you don't need to have SSL Certs/Private keys on ACE, unless servers are doing client authentication. When ACE sends HTTS Probes to servers, it acts as a client.
Here are few things that can be tried:
    - Test HTTS probe with only one server. Reload the server to clear any SSL cache on it.
    - check SSL probe detail to verify the error code received
    - Take captures between ACE and that server to find at what stage of the probe packet exchange flow is failing.
Here is a good link to troubleshoot HTTPS probe issues:

I have just purchased a lightning to 30 pin adaptor to use on an iPad mini and a gen5 iPod touch both devices are running iOS 8.1.3 and come up with The error message "this accessory is not supported by this device "
THis is means they are not charging on a 30 pin cable and the touch won't work in my Apple iPod dock - no audio out or charge. Have re powered both devices to no avail am wondering if the iOS version is the problem
    Help!

If it is a lightning to 30 pin adaptor, and you have a 7th Generation Nano it has to fit the Nano.
This is lightning to 30 pin adapter: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Apple%26%23174%3B---Lightning-to-30-Pin-Adapter/6651 936.p?id=1218803450821&skuId=6651936#tab=overview
    Is this what you bought?
You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be.

I hate this bold 9700 series 2 no carrier and find it to be a pathetic product backed up by even more pathetic support so I have decided to use it as a torch. There is an app for this but it requires app world first. Are you trying to say that I MUST have a carrier and they will resolve this issue but otherwise RIM cannot do anything about their own product?
Hello and Welcome to the Forums!
We are so sorry that you are having so many difficulties. While many experience the same (a search here will reveal that fact), there are also many who have very positive experiences with their BB. Not every device is suitable for everyone -- which IMHO is why there are so many choices.
In addition, but for AppWorld, front line support for BB's is, by contract, not provided by RIM. The carriers and authorized resellers are responsible for front line formal support to end users. It is possible to bypass your carrier and seek assistance direct from RIM, but such involves fees since you are bypassing your support agreement with your carrier. The "Support and Services" tab toward the top of these forum pages provide information about that. But, if you do go through your carrier for support, they can escalate into RIM at no fee to you if they so choose to.
As to AppWorld Support (beyond what we volunteer to provide in these forums), that is available via this portal:
    https://www.blackberry.com/CSOHelp/index.do?ft=generic
If you choose to submit to them in this manner, then please use, in the "Please select a component:" field, the AppWorld Billing/Payment selection. Any other selection will simply route you back anonymously to these public forums.
As to your question, RIM and the carriers both participate in AppWorld. My suspicion is that the carriers get a portion of the costs for the apps that are vended via AppWorld -- but that's just my suspicion. Hence, the use of AppWorld indeed requires a carrier (and, indeed, the proper data plan level from them).
But, AppWorld is merely a portal, vending apps that are (for the most part) developed by others. As such, it is not the only portal in the world for BB apps. There are a few, I think, apps that are exclusively vended via AppWorld...but I think that number is rather small. Consequently, if you desire an app that will allow your BB to function as you desire, you should seek out alternative vending portals. There are plenty.
    Good luck!

  • How many numbers of GRE Tunnels are supported on Cisco 3925 router?

    Hi...
I would like to know that.......
How many numbers of GRE Tunnels are supported on Cisco 3925 router?
    Thanks....

This is what I found in my search:
There may be factors such as memory constraints that will place practical limits on how many tunnels you can support. But there is also a hard limit on the number of tunnels that you can configure. That limit is based on the limitation of the number of IDBs supported by your router. The IDB is the Interface Descriptor Block and each interface (physical, or tunnel, or loopback, or whatever) requires an IDB. The number of IDBs will vary by platform and sometimes by release level of the code that you are running. You can use the privileged command show idb to see what the limitation is on your router. On the 1841 router that I just checked the limit on IDB is 1200 (which is a pretty large number - I believe that you would encounter other limits on performance or on size of configuration before you exhaust the IDB limit).

    Hope it helps.

  • My MacBook Air is in a support profile for one of my Apple IDs while all my other devices are in a support profile for a different one of my Apple IDs; how can I combine under one?

My MacBook Air is in a support profile for one of my Apple IDs while all my other devices are in a support profile for a different one of my Apple IDs; how can I combine under one?

Actually, this can be done without merging Apple IDs, as I found just by trying this out: I went into the support profile for the Apple ID that had only my Mac listed. I then chose to disassociate the Mac from that Apple ID. I signed out and signed in using my other Apple ID (the one with all my other Apple devices). I chose to add/register a new device, entered my Mac's serial number, and now it is associated with all my other Apple devices under a single Apple ID. No merger of Apple IDs required.

  • Change hostname on Cisco devices that are in production

I'm new to Cisco devices and to my current job as network analyst. Mostly in an attempt to establish consistency and to ease identification, I'd like to change the hostname of most of our Cisco switches and routers. However, I don't want to create any other problems.
If I proceed with the hostname change on our Cisco devices that are in production, would there be any negative impact that I may expect?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi
Couple of things spring to mind
    1) DNS resolution. How do you resolve the hostnames for your routers/switches now ?. if you do it via DNS then you need to update it to reflect the new name.
    2) Any scripts etc. that you may use to automate taks on your network may need updating although if they use DNS to resolev just see 1
    3) SSH. If you are using SSH to manage your routers/switches and you change the hostname the ssh key will become invalid. You will need to regenerate the key.

  • Error "Sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Twitter for BlackBerry Smartphones"

I have a Curve 8300.  With OS v4.5.0.81.  And I am on a BB Social network plan through my cell providor "Fido".
I mainly use it for Facebook & Twitter  and have no problems using either app.  However I was prompted for an update for my twitter recently but wasn't near a wifi spot to update.  Just decided to update today at home where I do have wifi.  However when I go to do the update, it gives me the following error:
"Sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Twitter for BlackBerry Smartphones"
I have scoured for answers but haven't had much luck.  I tried checking for OS updates.  I apparently have the most current one that my phone will support.  I uninstalled twitter and then tried to reinstall it via the twitter Icon on my phone.  Got the same error.  Tried reinstalling it through app world, it installed just fine.  However it installed the version that I had previously had.  So I went to twitter's settings and checked for updates.  It prompted for one as I expected it would.  And when I tried to get the update.  It gave me that error again.  I can use twitter as it is, but I don't see why my phone shouldn't be able to get all the updates for various apps.  Is it a software compatability issue?  Is it a hardware compatability issue?  Is there anything I can do to get the update or do I just have a phone that won't take some app updates?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
The 8300 is not listed in the device upgrade table for Blackberry device OS v5.0. The newer versions of apps like Twitter and Facebook require device OS v5.0 to run correctly. Might be time to consider a new device!

  • Can Cisco Device Manager Support ACS Authentication?

    Background:
My company has approximately 500+ devices all across the country (mainly 2801's, 2924's, 2950's, and 2960's) and approx 3 people that have a real idea of how to configure the devices, and 2 or 3 that have a general clue about how to do it. I am in the process of moving all of these devices to use ACS authentication for signing into the device. While I am doing this I am establishing a strong password for the secret password to provide as a backup.
    Problem:
My supervisor would like the cisco device manager to be available to the people that don't have the in depth cli experience. However in my testing, it will only accept the strong password for its authentication, and does not try the ACS server for authentication. Is this possible?

    Hi,
Actually, there is a difference as from where the authentication is picked from for HTTP authentication,
With HTTP v1 server, same method list is picked, that is used by VTY lines.
With HTTP v1.1 server, but before the integration of fix for bug CSCeb82510, the method list defined for console is checked.
After the fix of the above mentioned bug, we have some different sent of commands that we can use.
I would suggest you to give this a try,
aaa authentication login CONSOLEandHTTP tacacs+ local
    aaa authorization exec CONSOLEandHTTP if-authenticated
    ip http authentication aaa
    line con 0
    login authentication CONSOLEandHTTP
    authorization exec CONSOLEandHTTP

  • Your Device does not meet System requirements that are needed to support BB App World

    Hello,
My last Torch died with a JVM. Just got it replaced today and I want to get my Downloaded apps back. After I have restored the device from BlackBerry Desktop, none of my downloaded apps are there. I have a brand new 9860 , running Bundle 7.1.  I launch App World. It tells me to upgrade. When I follow  the screen upgrades, I reach an error message : Notice: Sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BB App World. I have a brand new phone so first question...can I upgrade App World over Wi-FI. or do I have to get a Data Plan from my Telco first ? I have been running my old phone fine with no Data plan but enjoying BBM and Cell use. Not happy.

  • Trying to decode this from USB Prober re. old joystick device

I'm troubleshooting a USB issue with an old joystick device. I can't find explanations to the various fields in USB Prober, i.e. what are the consequences of specific values/labels. I would like to verify that this device will not work with OS Mavericks or if possible find a workaround.
The device shows up on USB Prober, but it will not show up in "Joystick and Gamepad Tester" for Mac and will not work in FG v3.0 for Mac.
The device does work under a virtual WinXP on my iMac, but the application (FG v3.0) under the virtual machine is running very slow.
I suspect the "Not Captive" could be the problem, but I would appreciate help to simply understand what the various outputs from USB Prober means for this device and what you think causes it not to work and of course if there is any way in your opnion to make it work.

Re: Logitech Wingman Force & Windows 7 64-bit
    Options

    SO:
The Wingman Force and Formula Force are not USB HID products
They do not use the common drivers that HID products can
They are serial products that can use a special USB adapter and communicate to the PC in very nonstandard ways
Their feedback effects HAVE to be prewritten to the memory of the device and executed by calling to the memory space of the effect. Every USB Force Feecback device we made after these two devices can accept on-the-fly effects sent to them from the comptuer and do not require preloading to the hardware.
The memory of the device was quite good at the time of the build, but now and with what game developers are doing, it's very limited
To extend the life of the product, we implemented ever-more complex tricks to get the device to transparently work as long as possible, but modern game effects continued to put more demand on the hardware.
With 64-bit addressing, our tricks were completely broken. Considering the limitations of the hardware on such a fundamental level, we did not continue development. To unify the codebase, all support was taken out for both 5.x builds, and if you want to continue using this product, use LGS 4.6 on a Windows x86 machine.
Our LGS 4.6 code is not prepared for public release and I do not think we will ever release it openly.

As long as you have not reloaded much (or any) new information to the iPod (or the PCs), the following links will direct you to software that has a chance of recovering some or all of your music files. Most are not shareware or freeware, so you may have to spend a little money.....
This PodSalvage software will only work with Macs running OS X. See the PodSalvage page at SubRosaSoft.com: http://www.subrosasoft.com/MacSoftware/index.php?mainpage=product_info&productsid=2
