I am having a similar issues with you.
In my case, it is an ipod touch with beta ios7 with legit UDID.
It has been telling me that the activation server might be temporarily down since two weeks ago or even more.
    Is the server really down?

  • Are the iCloud servers down?

Are the icloud servers down? I cannot backup and it comes up with an error. Also the appstore is being pretty bad. It loads an app on install gets stuck on waiting and wont carry on. Yet my friends icloud is fine, but another friends isnt. I updated today to 5.1.1. Also when using apps which use icloud such as 'find my ipad' it says i have no wifi? yet im connected and the internet such as facebook and safari is fully functional. Ipad 2 wifi. Thanks.

I have no problems at all and I just tried the Find iPhone app and it was successful. I have download app updates and the app store is working fine for me. There were a few discussions Earlier tonight about users not being able to activate their new iPads or restore them and they were getting messages indicating that there might be a problem with the servers.
It possible that the servers are having issues but nearly impossible to confirm.

  • Are the Email servers down, I am unable to access new mail.

Are the email servers down? I am unable to retrieve my mail from either on-line or the local mail app.

Still down; about 24 hours now.  The Apple Rep I spoke to yesterday said they were HOPING to get them back up within 24 hours, but didn't want to promise that.
I've moved all my contact info over to gmail.

  • [Activation] Apple iOS Activation servers down?

Hi, today i was trying to update my iPhone 4S from iOS 5.0 to 5.1.1. No problems restoring it, but when i try to activate it, the process fails every time. It seems that Apple Activation servers are down?
Im a computer enthusiast and have already checked my home network for issues that can block access to apple servers, also checked from another network and machines, but still no luck. Tried to activate using WiFi on my iPhone, 3G network, and even Connect to iTunes on my PC. I noticed that apple activation server is gs.apple.com. Pinging it from any source on my network just generates timeouts, and even tried to ping it from online pages that provide ping service (ping.eu), but it generates timeouts too.
This is happening since about 3 hours ago, and im still with my iphone waiting for activation, cant restore backups neither. It seems that my iphone, for now, its only filling space on my protective case.
I attached a traceroute and pings from my network and from an online page that provides it, also Screenshots of both errors on my iPhone and iTunes.
    Thanks.

Hi, to activate your iPhone using wi-fi:
    1) Connect to your wi-fi then press the home button and press more wi-fi settings
    2) A blue arrow should appear next to you wi-fi name, press the blue arrow
    3) On the DNS section input 8.8.8.8 and then try the activation again.
    Hope this helps

  • Activation servers down, no failsafe... a working day wasted

This morning my PSCS5 extended subscription couldn't reach the activation servers... they are down (so says the Adobe helpdesk guy)... Try in 24 hours?!?!?!
How can be that there is no failsafe??? I wasted a working day and I guess Adobe won't pay a dime right?
    Outrageous!

    Hi Jeff,
the server just became available here so now it works again. It doesn't allow any 30 days trial, launching PS I had the activation panel popping up and I was just able to try again or quit... I did activate the product as I've been working since day 1 of my subscription. It's 9.30PM here... and I have to catch up with the work that I couldn't do today... Really Adobe needs to put in place a failsafe to allow bypassing these situations. It's absurd that having a standing subscription there is no way around a connectivity problem

  • Activation Servers Down?

Hello all! I know this has been asked before, but it seems to be a recurring problem. Are the Apple Activation Servers offline?
My wife's iPhone 4s glitched yesterday so I did a software restore. The phone wants to "activate" but I keep getting the message that the "activation server is temporarily unavailable". I have been getting this message for the past 24 hours. Any one else having the issue or know of a solution?
I have tried the "turn it off and on again" routine, as well as the "restore in DFU mode" about six times and still no luck.
Am I just at the mercy of Apple to get their servers back up and running or is it something else that I am missing?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    BK,
I actually had to go to my local Apple store and meet with a Genius for an hour. What it turned out to be was some "policy" setting.
I read the documentation that the Genius found, and didn't totally understand it, and I am a tech guy by trade. But it apparently had something to do with a setting in my account back at the Apple Mothership, or a check box that didn't get checked on their end.
So he submitted a rapid response ticket to Apple Tech Support and in about an hour the phone activated and was back up and running.
The way he explained it to me is that there are thousands of settings in our accounts back at Apple, and if one little check box goes awry, it can keep the phone from activating. So why it happened, I have no idea and neither did they. But did they get it fixed? Yes.
I hope that helps. But if you can, either give Apple a call, or head to a local store.

  • Are the update servers down?

I am trying to update the version of my iPod nano from 1.0 to 1.3 but iTunes is saying cannot connect to server. Are they down or is the problem on my side??
    help please

I think that right now there are to many people on the servers right now due to everyone receiving an iPod for Christmas, me being one of those people.

  • Are the Adobe Servers down? My CC update stalls at 6% and says my computer can't connect to the servers - Adobe help was an absolute joke trying to help.

Tried using Adobe's "support team" to help figure this out. What an absolute waste of time. The clown was literally reading off a script and wouldn't answer me when I asked if the servers were down. Creative cloud installer won't update. Stalls at 6% and gives me an error. Error code 207. This is ridiculous. I can't download any programs. It won't update CC... good move with this cloud garbage Adobe. This is beyond frustrating.
Thanks for the awesome day of getting absolutely nothing done Adobe! Can't wait to hear it from my boss about no productivity today.

    Hi Graham,
Kindly check the details in the link mentioned below.

  • Are the app servers down

Is anyone else experiencing issues with downloading apps on their iphone 4S or any other iOS device?  It just says "Can not download at this time"

I was able to connect just now. Is this on WiFi or cellular data? Can you connect to other sites with Safari?

  • Are Siri servers down again?

    are the siri servers down?

I think so, it's 10:18 and Siri is not responding for me either.  Your posting is the only place online mentioning Siri being down, I'm keeping an eye on the tech blogs to see if anyone else is experiencing this.
