Are iWeb '08 and MobileMe working properly yet?

I have just bought iLife '08, and been exploring my MobileMe account (been a .Mac user for 4+ years) but read on this forum recently that some of you guys were having major issues with iWeb '08, MobileMe and publishing your iWeb sites.
Are the known issues resolved?
It would be nice to install the new software this week - I have one website in iWeb, published thru my .Mac / MMe account. I haven't made any updates to it since the MMe switch.

I'm afraid you'll have to get the phone serviced, dropping the phone must have damaged additional parts inside the phone.
But Apple will not service the phone anymore, opening the phone and replacing the battery should only be done by authorized personal, not by users.
You'll have to look for a 3rd party repair shop and see if they can fix this, sorry.

The Mophie Air is a good battery case, but doesn't offer the protection she's looking for. I suggest sticking to the Lifeproof, the iPhone has a very good battery (2-3 days moderate usage for me).
To your 2nd to last paragraph, that is false. Verizon is allowing exisiting customers to keep Unlimited Data - but will lose it once they use a subsidized upgrade. So if you buy a 4S (or LTE device for example) outright, you will keep unlimited data. Mobile hotspot may use up a bit of data, but it is a separate add-on/feature. The new Family Share plans may change that, so it's one giant center of data all devices use.

It would depend on whether all of these base stations will be interconnected by Ethernet or by wireless and what your goal is with them.
In a roaming network, where all base stations would be connected by Ethernet, you could have 10+ base stations. Apple has never (at least to me) any limits on the number of base stations that can be used in this type of network.
In an extended network, where all of the base stations use wireless connections, the practical limit would be 4 or 5 base stations.

X Fi Probs: Working properly, yet says no audio devic

Hi there, I had my computer all setup and everything was working fine.
I clicked on the speaker icon today in the taskbar and it said that no device was found.
Ok so I troubleshooted on windows and still nothing.
The device is a Creative X FI Xtrememusic. It is installed, works properly, and from device manager and control panel I have enabled it in all aspects.
Audio/MIDI/Mixer - all enabled and fuctioning.
Yet when I go back to control panel/ sound and audio devices it says on the volume tab there there is no device... wtf? It is also greyed out and I cannot click on anything.
Also on the audio tab it is greyed out and says there there are no playback devices and no recording deviced and no midi playback devices either. (Yet I enabled them?)
I still hear sound from aim and my computer, but when I tried to add a song to current playlist via media player it says this:
"Windows Media PLayer cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."
? Only thing running in tasks is trillian, firefox, and creative's own mediasourse program.
PLEASE NOTE:
I fixed this by switching it to another PCI slot. Everything worked for a day. The next time I turned on the computer the card only read for about 5 minutes. System sounds and aim sounds still work. I cant play music or videos. I've switched PCI slots again, restarted, and it only reads for a limited time.
Not sure if when I updated windows and my chipset if something happened. Or if my soundcard and/or mobo is defected. Also I'm using the OEM driver that came on the creative cd.

Are those time limited drivers for some sort of beta version though? I'm using the current release version, and when I reinstalled the drivers, I re-downloaded from the creative site. Of course, that doesn't mean they AREN'T the issue. It's such a strange problem that the sound just stopped yet device manager reports no problems.

IWeb Domain and MobileMe

I have two mobile me accounts and maintain two websites. I back up the domain(s) on removable hard drives and usually work on the site from a variety of office and home computers via the removable HD, save domain to removable HD and then upload being sure I am logged into MobileMe as the correct "user" for the site. Is it possible to upload the site to thel MobileMe site that corresponds to the accounts...download the domains from any location, update, and then upload to the host and then to my MobileMe account.... naturally being sure I am logged incorrectly.
Also, is there a way, to work on each site separately and upload to the Mac host without having to sign in separately to the individual MobileMe account that corresponds to the site?

If you are talking about storing your domain files on a server someplace, I think this is possible in theory but may not work well in practice because of their possibly large size and the time needed to download and upload them.

You certainly don't need sign on to anything to just work on a site in iWeb. But to publish it to the right place you have to at least set system preferences/mobileme to the username/password of the right account before hitting the Publish button.

I have the same issue with almost exactly the same environment...

iPhone has been set up to wirelessly sync when on charge yet I get this error when the iPhone is not even charging!
I work for a mobile network operator and although this isn't something we support anyway, we would usually stumble across something like this when customers call us for advice prior to contacting the manufacturer for support, yet this hasn't been a call driver so I'd imagine this is isolated... (either that or not many people have updated their device and set up the wireless sync lol)...

Why won't Safari load up and textedit work properly?

Last night I turned on the computer and broadband modem to take a look on the internet. Initially I thought there may be a problem with the broadband connection -safari wouldn't load up, internet explorer wouldn't connect (but did load up) and itunes couldn't connect to the net either.
So I turned the computer off and decided to leave it until the morning and hope the problems had gone. However this morning I can connect to the net using internet explorer but safari still doesn't work. I click on the icon and nothing happens so I have to force quit it.
I also noticed that I can open up text edit and type using text edit but when I click on file to save something I just get the swirly loading icon, could this be connected?
I'm concerned that these problems are signs of more problems yet to come.
(I have a Powerbook G4, running 10.3.7 -I don't want to update my computer at the moment because last time i did I had massive problems)

I just wanted to add this incase anyone else had this problem. I found out it was because of some new fonts I had bought. When I disabled the new fonts Safari and textedit worked fine.

The upgrade are a hoax and phone work slower.

After the last upgrade, kit kat, my Samsung Galaxy S III is not working properly. Whenever Verizon offers an upgrade, the phone work slower. Call customer service and the solution they offer is BUY A NEW PHONE. I had said it once and I did not believe but I am starting to believe it's true. The upgrade slower operated the aircraft for customers to buy new phones. I'm driving the possibility of imposing a class action may not be possible because they force us to buy new phones when you buy this one years ago. Unfortunate, but so customers leave.

There are no class actions allowed per US Supreme Court decision.
However class actions against the phone makers are possible.
That is paranoid thinking in regards to updates not coded by Verizon are done to make your device unusable.

Why are my PalPal buttons not working properly after working fine for weeks?

I have not touched the site till I heard there was a problem today. The dropdowns are not showing up.

Sometimes if I hit refresh or republish the site, they show up again. then after testing to see if they work, they disappear again.
I just upgraded to the April 2 release to see if it helps and it did not.
I talked to paypal and tested the buttons on their testing website and they worked fine.
I did not use the widget in Muse to create...I cut and paste the code from paypal.com button creator.
Anyone else having the same issue?

Mavericks is slow and nothing works properly now. How do I go back to Mountain Lion?

I have an older iMac (purchased in the Spring of 2008). I've updated the operating systems as new ones have come available and even installed more memory into the machine so the upgrades would continue to work. With the latest upgrade to Mavericks I'm ready to go backwards. Mavericks stinks. Everything runs slowly, I get the "beach ball" all the time, and I'm constantly getting error messages. I'm thinking maybe I just don't have enough memory to make this work properly.
So I want to go back to Mountain Lion (which I paid for) but can't find it in my "purchased items" in the App Store and can't seem to figure it out anywhere else. I have a backup hard drive but I haven't backed up in a LONG time so I don't want to go that route. I'd rather just do it online. Can anyone help? (I'm not very tech savvy, so please keep it simple...)

You can check to see if the Mountain Lion purchase was hidden.

Flash CS5 slow and not working properly

Dear all,
I have a serious problem on my machine.
Some months ago I bought Master Collection CS5 and worked fine without problem with Flash and Flex.
Last week I took a virus and I need to format and re-install my pc.
After that I re-installed Master Collection but now, Flash is veeeeeeeeeeery slow and some functions doesn't work properly.
for example, if I open a fla file (made before format) and I try to align a symbol on the stage, it doesn't works!!! it makes nothing! I click on the button and nothing happens!
I already try to uninstall and re-install but the problem persist.
The configuration is the same that i had before format, I only updatet my antivirus to Avast 5, but I don't think that's the problem.
My configuration is this:

The button on my iPod touch is hard and not working properly

I have bought an iPod touch 4G est year (2012) and the start button is hard and sometimes when I give once calcase responds as if twice. I have an iPad and the button is softer and I have friends who have an iPhone and is also soft.
