Are multiple colors possible on a published calendar?

Hi, on my desktop I easily see multiple colors, with each on for a different calendar. we have a published calendar for a group, that would be great if it were possible either to publish both with the same URL, or at least allow color changes for some of the items on the calendar again with just one url. Is this possible in iCal?
Thanks.

Wayne,
Unfortunately, published calendars are not capable of displaying individual calendar colors.

  • Are multiple trunks possible on a 5508 WLC version 7.0.116.0

To date I have only ever deployed guest WLCs with one bundled channel  to  a neigboring switch. With tunneled guest traffic flow via one vlan on the trunk (management) and leaving on the guest VLAN going physcily back to the same switch. Everything I have read indicated this is all that is supported.
However we have a requirement where the client would like to have two trunks connected to two different switches. So that tunneled guest traffic flow can come via one trunk and leave on the guest VLAN via another trunk going to another switch. Is this possible or are there any other methods I should try that may achieve a similar outcome with physical segragation?

This is not possible ... if you LAG the links.  But if you un-LAG it maybe you can.  I haven't tried it.
So that tunneled guest traffic flow can come via one trunk and leave on the guest VLAN via another trunk going to another switch. This sounds "awful" (for the lack of a better PG-13 word).

  • Publish Calendar Group and events location lost

After publish the Calendar Group, which may contain more than one individual calendar and coded in different colors correspondingly, the published online view of the calendar group shows only one color. Is there a design fault in this? Shouldn't the published Calendar group retain the original individual calendar colors?
Also, the published calendar, individual events lost their locations. When I publish the calendar I checked the box for title and notes. There is nowhere for checking the location. Is this the reason for not publishing the location? Please correct the design. Thanks.

I'm also wondering why iCal event locations and URLs don't appear in a published (via .Mac) calendar. When I click on an event, I get Subject, Date, and Summary info (which is equivalent to the Notes field). It does not show the Location or URL field, however.
Any ideas on how to get this information on a published calendar?

  • Multiple colors in on calendar

I am using a macbook pro with latest Yosemite update.
I work 24-hour shifts so I would like to add multiple colors to one calendar. For example I have a calendar work and within this calendar I want to have different colors for lets say early shift/late shift/night shift. I can't find that option, this was possible within outlook and gmail calendar.
    All advice is welcome.

On mine the ones that show on a coloured background are all-day events, the ones with dots and just timed events.

  • How can I combine multiple icloud calendars into a single published calendar?

I have several calendars in Ical where I map my activities and schedules. Like many I need several calendars to categorise events.
Now, I'd like others to see when I'm free and when I'm unavailable. For this, I'd need to find a way to copy multiple Icloud calendars into a single one for publishing - and the published calendar would also have to sync to any update I make in the original calendar.
Any way to make this happen? Any third party app? Tried a couple - they were outdated and / or cumbersome.
If only there was a "smart calendar" tool in Ical …

It worked - up to the crucial point: after combining icloud calendars into one "on the machine" calendar, the latter is ready for going public. But of course - this public calendar will only contain the .ics files and will not sync for updates from the icloud calendars.
    And that's what I want.
If this problem is not possible to solve with the software available in the Mac - is there any known third party solution for this?
    (Apple: "smart calendars" please!)

  • Published Calendar has same event multiple times

Hi, I have created a calendar group with four sub groups on iCal. On iCal, each event shows up only one time. However, when I published the calendar and went to check on it...each event is on each date a min of 3x, up to 15x...
what's up? how do I fix this????
    thanks
    julie

I am Tiger 10.4.2 iCal 2.0.2 and having the same problems. I haven't found a way to prove this, but I think iCal publishing is only smart enough to deal with 1 Mac. My problem started when I turned on .Mac syncing for iCal. My .Mac account is syncing my three macs (1 home, 1 powerbook, 1 powermac at work) and guess what? My appointments show up THREE times.
Does anyone know if Apple is looking into this unexpected side effect from .Mac syncing published calendars? If not, I will give them a call on the phone to escallate this. I am guessing that there are multiple scenerios that make .Mac get confused and essentially treat a duplicate as if it was unique.

  • TS4337 Why are the colors for my calendar reseting to a color I never chose?

Why are the colors for my calendar in iCal reseting to a color I never chose?  It won't stay blue when I choose that color and keeps changing to a custom lavendar color on its own....  Incredibly annoying...

There doesn't seem to be a one-size-fits-all answer, because what works for one printer doesn't necessarily work for another, and I don't have your printer so I can't advise on specifics...
However, perhaps we can discover a set of settings that will work...
If you File - Print, choose Photoshop Manages Colors, in the Printer Profile section do you see profiles specific to your printer (e.g., with the name Kodak in them)?
If so, choose one of them that seems appropriate given the paper you're using.
If not, try choosing sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
Now, before you continue, press the [Print Settings...] button.  This brings up the printer driver dialog.  You may have to go through [Advanced] buttons or whatever, but what you're looking to do here is to disable the printer driver's color management logic.  In other words, if you can find a color-management / ICC profile handling section, set it to "no color management" or equivalent.  OK back out to Photoshop's print dialog, then press [Print].
The key here is that if Photoshop manages the color transforms, the printer driver should not be set to do so - or vice versa.
If you're presented with the printer driver's dialog again, double check that the settings you chose above are still set, for good measure, and try a test print.

I am having multiple issues with syncing my iphone calendar and outlook calendar on my laptop
I mostly enter the original items on my laptop
There are often 1 hour time differences in the entries on the 2 devices and sometimes events that have been amended are not updated on iphone

This sounds like an error in Time Zone support. The time zone needs to be the same in Outlook as well as the phone.

  • Is it possible to setup multiple users with the exact same calendar?

I am trying to setup exchange with 3 users where each user sees exactly the same calendar all precisely in sync. I don't need the users to have their own calendar. Sharing a calendar from 1 user to the others does not work for me because I need it to be
in sync with all the users' mobile devices as well as outlook.
    Thanks

    Hi dneray,
Base on my knowledge, it is impossible to setup multiple users with the exact same calendar.
However, as a workaround, you can try to set up a shared mailbox within these users as a shared calendar for them to share.

  • Is there a way to transform multiple colors?

I have a project where I've been asked to allow a user to choose between multple color themes of a character.  This object  is complex in that it has multiple colors and that each color needs to change differently based on the theme's color scheme.
Is there a way to take a movieclip with multiple colors and apply process to it that will detect different colors and transform them accordingly without taking each individual color, making a movie clip from it, then modifying the movieclip's colors?  Each character has a pretty limited color pallette, so this process would only have to find and then change maybe 3 or 4 colors.  But the character in question is hand animated and has a LOT of frames, so I'm hoping there's a chance that I can handle this programmatically rather than doing it all by hand with a few hundred extra movieclips to make color changes to.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi, and thanks for the help.
This is the 1st time I've looked at the palletteMap method.  I see in the documentation:
    paletteMap(sourceBitmapData:BitmapData, sourceRect:Rectangle, destPoint:Point, redArray:Array = null, greenArray:Array = null, blueArray:Array = null, alphaArray:Array = null):void
    Parameters:
sourceBitmapData:BitmapData — The input bitmap image to use. The source image can be a different BitmapData object, or it can refer to the current BitmapData instance.
sourceRect:Rectangle — A rectangle that defines the area of the source image to use as input.
destPoint:Point — The point within the destination image (the current BitmapData object) that corresponds to the upper-left corner of the source rectangle.
redArray:Array (default = null) — If redArray is not null, red = redArray[source red value] else red = source rect value.
greenArray:Array (default = null) — If greenArray is not null, green = greenArray[source green value] else green = source green value.
blueArray:Array (default = null) — If blueArray is not null, blue = blueArray[source blue value] else blue = source blue value.
alphaArray:Array (default = null) — If alphaArray is not null, alpha = alphaArray[source alpha value] else alpha = source alpha value.
I comprehend the 1st 4 parameters, but the color and alpha arrays have got me confused.  How would I use these to, for instance find all the pure blue pixels in a bitmap (0x000000FF) and then change those pixels' colors to some other color, then find all the pure red pixels (0x00FF0000) and change them to yet another color?  Fortunately I don't have to deal with alpha with this current delimma . . .
One other question before I look into this method as a solution, is it possible to programmatically convert vector-based artwork into a bitmap to use this colorMatrix feature?  All the artwork I need to change colors on is hand drawn animation using the native Flash drawing tools.  Thanks again for any additional help!

  • Changing the Color of a subscribed iCal calendar

Is there any way to change the color of an iCal calendar that I subscribe to?  The iCal subscription is from another Mac User (iCloud) who published the calendar using a color that I use for my calendar and I'd rather change hers (on my Mac) than change mine.
Doing a "get info" shows the color but it's 'grey'd out' so I can't change it.
    Thanks

I can't tell you why this is happening, but I can tell you that I admin many different iCloud users. Some subscribed calendars' colors can be changed in iCal, some are greyed out. It can't make any sense of it yet. However, If you want to change the colors of these calendars, you may do so by logging into your account in iCloud. Get to the calendars and hit EDIT. You will see colored dots next to each calendar. You can then change the color there. Log out and refresh in ical. The colors will (eventualy) be changed. Hope this helps.

  • Publishing calendars in Lion?

I just bought a MacBook Air. I thought I would create a new calendar with my horseshow dates and publish it. We have had published calendars before and they are so helpful. This year was complicated by multiple horses, multiple clubs, various types of events - we all know what it is like. When I finished the calendar and clicked on Publish, I got a message saying the request creates a conflict and that the calendar cannot be published. When I request to publish, I am asked if I wish to publish to Mobile.me, which I do have.
What have I done - or not done? I havent had problems with this before, so I am guessing I missed a step in Lion? Or is this part of the big get ready for iCloud?
    Any ideas helpful!

I don't know whether Lion has added any additional complications, but in any event you can't publish a calendar which is listed under your MobileMe login name to a web page - you can only do this with calendars listed under 'on My Mac'. However you can share a MobileMe calendar, though the recipient needs to use a CalDAV client (such as iCal or Google Calendar) to view it. Please see this page for details:

  • Is there a way to have multiple color Guides so I can have different colors for different layers

Is there a way to have multiple color Guides in Illustrator and Photoshop CC so I can have different colors for different layers?

I think it's not possible "natively" to have this functionalty but I found these topics for Photoshop :

  • Color change with duplication of calendars

In a recent synch of my iCal, my calendars were duplicated and represented in a different color. Each of two calendars had all the items of the original calendar. In a subsequent synch I was prompted to resolve the color conflict (of some but not all the calendars), which I unfortunately did. I resolved these to the .Mac color--that one was the same as my original color choice. After this synch, for these "resolved" calendars I now have two calendars, both of the same color: one has no entries whatsover, and the other calendar has every entry in duplicate.
I have no idea why this occurred or how to solve the problem and would welcome any suggestions.
I'm only synching between two computers and a .Mac account (no other devices involved). Both of the computers now have the same duplicated configuration. I have unregistered and registered one computer (as recommended in one support page) and have resynched but the problem still persists. (I think the .Mac info is all duplicated)

    You're welcome.
In case you aren't aware, prior to firmware version 3.0 it was possible to sync contacts and calendar events over the air with an Exchange account and/or with a MobileMe account or direct with a supported application on your computer. You could do one or the other, not both at the same time.
This was added primarily for those accessing an Exchange account with their iPhone who also wanted to sync personal contacts and calendar events with a supported application via the iTunes sync process on their personal computer at home. When doing so, business contacts and calendar events synced over the air with the Exchange server are kept separate from personal contacts and calendar events synced direct via the iTunes sync process with a personal computer. You can view business and personal contacts and calendar events combined or separately.
When doing the same with a MobileMe account, this does nothing but duplicate the contacts and calendars events on your iPhone.

  • Multiple Color Labels

Would be good to be able to have multiple Color Labels for each image, rather than be limited to a single Color Label.
For example, at the moment I use Purple for flagging up Stacked Images, so this retricts my labelling of these images for other purposes.

    Hi Chris,
I asked for this a few weeks ago, and was basically told to use a different method.
    Here is what I do:
    Color 1=Possible Portfolio
    Color 2=Possible Print
    Color 3=Possible Stock image
Colors 1,2,3 are any of the 5 you want.... As I go through newly downloaded images from a commercial/magazine shoot I am culling them with my customers needs in mind, so I can't really think too much of my own needs at that point in time. But as I go through the images I may come across images that fit one of the above "Possibilities" . So my thought was to just tag the image with a color. Very simple and fast, my hands don't need to move much to tag with a color, and I don't need to scroll the mouse away from what I am doing and loose focus on the customers needs. This allows me to go back later, when I have more time and see what I thought might make a good example of one of the above "Possibilities"
So what happens if an image could work for all 3??? Well that is what led me to request multiple color labels per image. I eve suggested easy ways to implement the feature....
But I was told that I "Should" do this another way...like using collections or keywords.... Neither of those fits the bill for Fast and Easy image tagging like the colors do.
I don't have too much faith that we will see this feature.......
