Hi
we use the multiple init scenario whenever there are huge data volumes for initialization and just to get the set up tables filled up in case of LO extraction, with minimum downtime (as the downtime can take upto 2-3 days) so as not to affect the users and also risk losing data, we do multiple inits to reduce the downtime and get the set up tables filled up.
Yes in your extractor you can but be careful the selection crieteria does not overlap

Please do anybody know how to solve this issue? I need to call one query with the fixed structure more than once with different selection criteria. For example. I have following data
Sales organization XX
                     Income 2008 Income 2009
Customer A       10                 20
Customer B        30                  0
Sales organization YY
                     Income 2008 Income 2009
Customer A        20                5
Customer B        50                10
Now, I need this. At the selection screen of query, user fill variable charakteristic "Sales organization" with interval XX - YY, than I need to generate two separate results per sales organization, one for Sales Organization XX and the second for SO YYwhich will be displayed each on separate page, where result for SO YY will be dispayed under result for SO YY. Are there some options how to do it for example in Report Designer or WAD or with programming? In Report Designer is possible to use one query more than once, but I dont know how to force each query in RD to display result only for one Sales Organization, which will be defined in selection screen.

thanks to all for cooperation. Finally we solved this issue with the following way..
User fill appropriate SO on the selection screen, which is defined as range. This will resulte, that selected SO are listed in report below each othe (standard behavior). Required solution we achieved with the Report Designer, we set page break under each Result row of RD. This caused, that report is divided into required part per SO, which are stated each on separate page.

2 Init with different selection

Hi All,
I want to run 2 inits on a single data source with different selections for that , after running the first init do I have to remove the init from the first package and then run the second package?

Hi Tina,
There can be many Init runs in your infopackage given that the selection ranges for the different Inits are not overlapping. For different Selection ranges you can do different Inits. You can check the Initilization table in the Scheduler menu of your Infopackage.

How do you update software when there are multiple users with different (unknown) apple ID's?

We are a college with different users borrowing 'loaner' Macbooks.
several users with different ID's have installed software that is now tied to that Machines serial number, and cannot be updated or removed apparently. We are trying to update iPhoto for use with iBook author, but it was installed by an unknown user and cannot be removed.

The only practical solution is to wipe and re-provision the units when they're returned.

Delta with two different selection criteria

I have crated two Delta DTPs with different selection criteria (one with Flag = Y and Flag = N).
With flag = Y selection I have 100 records and flag = N, I have 50 records.
When I ran first Delta DTP (flag = Y), I got 100 records. Delta DTP worked fine.
But when I ran 2nd DTP (with flag = Y), 50 records tranferred but no records added.
Is it possible to have two delta DTPs with different selection criteria?

I guess there was a typo error in your query,

I guess it should be,
"When I ran first Delta DTP (flag = Y), I got 100 records. Delta DTP worked fine.

Yes, two Delta DTPs with different selection conditions can be used.
Can you please check with the availability of 50 records with FLAG = N in the target InfoProvider?
If the 50 records with FLAG = N loaded through delta already exists in the target InfoProvider,
then no addition will occur though trasfer will take place.

Bookmark WebDynpro with Prepopulated Selection Criteria

Hello All,
Currently, we have a demo application using the SFLIGHT scenario. This demo has selection criteria for the CARRID and CONNID.
We would like to bookmark the WebDynpro for different selection criteria. For example, one scenario would be CARRID = AA and CONNID = 0017 whereas we would have another scenario that is CARRID = LH and CONNID = 0400.
Is it possible for an end user to bookmark the WebDynpro using their specific selection criteria? If yes, does anyone know how this can be achieved?

Well, the application would have to be designed to take these selection criteria as URL parameters. Even then the end user couldn't just hit the bookmark in the browser and save the current input values. They would have to manually add these parameters and values to the URL in the browser bar before creating the bookmark.

How to go about multiple inclination with different data selection in Delta

We have to copy large amount of data ( more than 42lak of recodes) selectivly from on ODS to other ODS. in delata load ( BW 3.5 enverioment)
I thought of loading data in slices through delta loading with selection condition.
step 1> Do The initialization with selection condition as for calyear =2001 ( Init without data transfer )
step 2> Take the delta load .. it will take all delta record with same selection
step 3> Now I want to do Initialization with selection condition as for calyear =2002
step 4> take the delta now it will take delta for year 2001 and 2002 both Right ?
Here what problem I am facing.. while doing 2nd time initialization it prompt me to delete the last initialization request form scheduler menu.
if i delete the last request .. will it take the delta for previous initialization selection and new initialization selection. ?

You are correct with this scenario normally. The message you mentioned normally comes up when you open a infopackage and don't change the selection first or in case you have overlapping selections with an already done init.

You do not want to edit material from different frame rates on one timeline. You CAN do this, but it is a very bad idea - and this is why.
Once you establish the sequence frame rate - lets say it is PAL material at 25fps, any material that you drop into the sequence other than 25 fps will have to be changed to play at 25 fps. If the material you add is NTSC (29.97), FCP will DROP 5 frames per sec to bring the frame rate down to 25 fps. Which 5 get thrown away? Every 6th one. This yields a funky cadence that becomes even more complex as as there are also interlaced fields (DV/NTSC is an interlaced format). Oh, and by the way, the image sizes are different as well. DV/PAL has 576 lines of resolution and DV/NTSC has 480. FCP has to scale up the NTSC to fit the PAL frame.
You do not want FCP adjusting these things on the fly. You want to do a thoughtful (and time consuming) conversion so that you end up with all your material in one format with the best possible image from the conversion process. Compressor can do an adequate job with Frame Controls turned on. The Natress Standards Conversion FCP plugin is another way to go. A third option is to find a post house that can do the conversion for you using a hardware based process.
The good news is, once everything is in the same format, editing it will be painless and the output process very quick.
Whatever frame rate/ image size you select, I'd suggest using ProRes for the codec. It is 4:2:2 color and will withstand color correction and composting with much more grace than any variant of DV based codecs.

Hi Sai,
Customizing the chart is not possible, example the data in you criteria is like the below.
Take four row based chart to display the row based values, if the columns are having different values. Take column based chart if the difference in row based, hope you got it.
Use the label in combo box and use the dynamic visiblity to call the chart from the back.

There are multiple users with the same display name

We have a user and when she get an item assigned to her she sees the following alert:
"There are multiple users with the same display name USERNAME and at least one of them does not have read permissions to some of the files"
Now I looked in the database and when I run the following query with the username:

Then I get 2 same usernames back, How can I get rid of one of them ? When I access TFS trough the portal I only find 1 occurence of this user.
We use VS2013 and TFS2013 update 4

Multiple Orders with Different reasons on a Single day

I am recently learning Device Management of IS-U Electricity. Now I have a problem with meter reading orders generated at the time of periodic meter reading with reason 01 and different system generated orders with reasons like 22, 21 , 16 and 11 which are the orders get created internally based on device replacement and modification.
If the scheduled meter reading date lies on the day or the day before of device replacement or modification, the meter reading for the periodic order is getting prorated based on the meter reading entered at the time of replacement or modification. This is what I dont want.
Is it possible to have multiple orders with different reasons on the same date? Any configuration changes are welcome.

Hi,
You can acheive this using following config changes.
SAP Utilities --> Device Managment -->Meter Reading --> Meter Reading Order -->Order Creation --> Define Automatic Interpolation for Meter Reading Reason.
Uncheck the 'Auto Interpolation' flag for Meter Reading reason 01.
This will not use the Replacement or Modifiaction read.

FYI - Different Division means different Sales Area.
So, sales doc (whether sales order, Delivery & Billing) is applicable to EXACTLY one sales area.
Thus, combining docs with different sales area is practically impossible.
Provided, you are using common division.

Hi,
Fetch all the PRs and its corresponding items into 2 different table. Then Loop at the internal whihc contains the PRs and call the 2nd internal table for its items and call the FM for smartforms and pass them.
LOOP AT it_PR.
fetch all the items into it_PR_item
Call Function Fnam
Passign the it_PR_item
ENDLOOP.
