Are my catalogs correct?

I am getting an error message that says "lightroom has stopped working". I feel it may be a catalog issue.
When I search "lightroom" on my computer all this comes up...is thsi right?

Well, at the risk of stating the obvious, the problem is either:
* Hardware
* Programs (including operating system)
* Data used by those programs.
- either "problem with" or "compatibility of".
And if you've no clue which, you have to keep going trying different things until something makes a difference.
So, if your computer seems healthy enough hardware-wise, and you've already tried re-installing Lightroom, maybe consider your data next.
Data, in this context, generally, is:
* All data files critical to Operating system operation and well being, or at least those that come into play when using Lightroom.
* All data files critical to Lightroom's operation and well-being.
* Windows registry...
So, if I were you, I'd:
* Run a ram check (reboot and press 'Delete' while booting) - you should be able to figure out how to schedule a ram-check during startup, but if not, you can run memtest86 which will "hold your hand" more (e.g. you can create a bootable CD which does the ram check).
* As a (potentially temporary) trouble-shooting step: set aside (with Lightroom *not* running, rename folders containing) all data files having to do with Lightroom. I wouldn't know where to begin if the problem is in the registry, so fingers crossed...
To figure out which files Lr accesses, you can run AuxBackup - by default it backs up everything except catalog and photos, and you can see where all the backed up files came from.
Then, run Lightroom and create a new catalog and import a new round of photos (start with just one, then work your way up). Next steps depend on outcome...
Worth noting: by my definition here, photo files are "Lightroom data", and I have seen wonky photo files trip Lightroom up, for example:
One time, Lr was crashing shortly after startup. I thought it was a catalog problem, since it only happened with one catalog. But, I was wrong - the problem was the photo file that happened to be selected when that catalog was opened. I fixed the photo file (I can't recall if I used exif-tool or did it by some other means), and voila: no more crashing.
I mean, if it's not an Lr "data" file problem, then it'll be time to try some other things... If it is (an Lr data file problem), then it'll be time to start folding stuff back together, carefully...

The following two databases are the target databases which needs to be backed up.
1. a 11.1.0.7.0 database
2. a 10.2.0.1.0 databaseII.

I am going to use the RMAN client(10.2.0.1.0) in my laptop (Windows Server 2003).

To create the Catalog Database (10.2.0.4.0), this what i am going to do in catdb
 a. create tablespace CAT_TBS
 b. CREATE USER rman_cat_schema
 IDENTIFIED BY rman_cat_schema
 DEFAULT TABLESPACE cat_tbs
 TEMPORARY TABLESPACE temp
 QUOTA UNLIMITED ON cat_tbs;
 c. GRANT create session TO rman_cat_schema;
 d. GRANT recovery_catalog_owner TO rman_cat_schema;
 e. GRANT execute ON dbms_stats TO rman_cat_schema;
 f. Invoke the RMAN binary from my laptop :
 C:\>set ORACLE_SID=catdb
 C:\>rman catalog rman_cat_schema/rman_cat_schema@catdb log=catalog.log
 Hopefully Catalog will get the created at catdb .
Registering the database

To register the database,this is what i am going to do.
 a. Add the Tns Entry about the catdb in tnsnames.ora file of the target database
 b. Log in to target database's machine and invoke the RMAN executable in the target database. 
 $ export ORACLE_SID=oraprod314
 $ rman TARGET / CATALOG rman_cat_schema/rman_cat_schema@catdb
 c. Then i can give the REGISTER DATABASE command. like

Yes, You can connect to RMAN catalog using a lower version client. see this.

You can take the backups and do recoveries. But, if you want to achieve certain features of the recovery catalog of higher versions to backup / recover your database, you better use the right RMAN client which allows the features to use.
It is always advisable to use the RMAN Client same as the database version you want to backup to avoid any confusions.

Some fonts are not shown correctly in LabVIEW 2012

I found a bug related with fonts in LabVIEW2012 f3 KR.
- When I select NI7SEG in font selection dialog, right font is not shown in the example box.
- Draw text at point.vi shows same problem for some fonts while other fonts are working.
I reported it to Korean NI. As far as I know, this was not reported in previous versions and I couldn't find any related documents in Google.
So, here I would like to know whether it is related with only Korean version. Please let me know if English version is OK.
* OS: Windows 7 32bit KR

Just now, I installed LabVIEW 2012 f3 (32-bit, English) and checked for the issue. But the font(NI7SEG) was not shown properly in VI either.
- Both of Korea and English version of LabVIEW 2012 on Win 7 Korea OS shows wrong results. It is same on 64-bit OS.
- LabVIEW 2010 but on same PC shows correct fonts.
Is there a limit of number of fonts in LabVIEW? There are more than 100 fonts are shown in the "Selection Font" dialog and I can divide them into 3 groups by sequential order. I find that all fonts in the 3rd group are not applied correctly.

Umlauts are not displayed correctly in different programs

Hello!
I live in germany, but my locale is set to "en_US.UTF8" because I like to have everything in english.
I do not have any problems with umlauts on the machine, but when I connect with sFTP oder Samba to it, the umlauts in files are not displayed correctly.
Look at this example
The upper word is how it looks in "ssh putty" (=locally on the machine), the bottom one is from "filezilla" (from my windows host)

When I create a file "asd_aöü" locally on the machine (with the help of ssh - putty), it looks fine, but when I connect by samba or filezilla again the umlauts are not displayed correctly.

PO screen custom fields are not in correct order

Hi Experts,
After creating Shopping cart and purchase order successfully created.
Added my custom fields for PO structure INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSD_PO fields are visible in PO screen automatically with out adding my custom fields in PO layout /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_PO_I_BD
when i go to PO screen i can see my custom fields but all fields are not in correct order.How can my fields should be in order.
and i added two custom buttons in my PO layout for WD component /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_PO_I_BD i am not able to see my buttons?
Could you please help me out in this issues its urgent.

I've had this problem. There may be a more elegant solution, but what I do is make a playlist of the album and put the movements in the correct order in the playlist. I've also put numbers (01, 02, etc.) in front of the name of the movements. Either one works.

Function keys are not working correctly

I've been looking all over the various threads and I can't find an answer that solves my problem.
Here are the details:
I bought the computer in the U.S. where I live.
I have a iMac 2.4GHz intel Core 2 Duo EMC 2133 with a 20" screen. Bought it new in February 2008.
I have Mac OS X 10.5.8 (I am waiting for my order for OS Snow Leopard to come in!!)
I have been using a wireless mouse and Keyboard (Love not having cords!)
Recently, my wireless keyboard got a short and quit working. I went down to the apple store and got a new wireless keyboard.
I had the computer with me at the genius bar so, yes, the apple employee saw exactly what I have.
I took it all home got the thing all put back together and got the new keyboard paired up and working with the computer.
Here are the problems:
Went to go use the function keys while using iTunes and found they weren't working properly. The F10, F11 and F12 do not control the volume of sound as the keyboard indicates they would, they instead activate dashboard, spaces, and application windows.
Following the advice of other threads, I looked over in the system preferences and made sure the "Use all F1, F2 etc." box was unchecked (it was unchecked), things still didn't work.
I tried the fn key but it appears to not work at all it has no effect on the functioning of the function keys.
I went under keyboard shortcuts in system preferences and found the F10, F11 and F12 keys, it confirms that those keys control spaces, dashboard and application windows as they are performing but shows no options to either reassign to volume control (as marked on the keyboard) or make the fn key work.
I've gone back and forth trying various combinations of checked and unchecked boxes to see if anything would work, so far I've come up with nothing.
A couple more important or interesting facts:
Yes I have turned off and taken the batteries out of the old keyboard. My bluetooth connection currently shows it as disconnected.
I have restarted the computer.
One thing I find odd; when I go under preferences and go to Keyboard and Mouse when I go under the section "Bluetooth" it shows Bluetooth mouse with the name of the mouse and the battery level. BUT nothing is showing up under bluetooth Keyboard, I can't figure out how to change this and don't know if it is contributing to the problem.
When I go under the bluetooth logo on the top bar I find the mouse and both keyboards referenced, the old keyboard is shown as disconnected and the other two are connected. I have tried to update the device's name but it doesn't seem to let me.
I have double clicked on the device under bluetooth and it shows the new keyboard as discoverable, paired and connected. Hence, I am using the new keyboard to write this inquiry.
Please, any assistance would be of great help. I have tried to be thorough in order help narrow the possible problem. Thanks!!

Just thought I'd let you know. Our suspicions were correct, it was the OS. After I installed Snow Leopard (10.6.8) all the problems were corrected. I also updated the RAM from 1 gb to 6 gb. The mac is working all around better. Sorry it took so long to get back to everyone. My superdrive had pooped out. Rather than replace it I got an external drive from OWC connected with firewire 800. So far everything is running very well, as far as I can tell this external drive is better than the original superdrive. My superdrive has always acted funny, infact I returned the first mac I got after a week because its superdrive was also malfunctioning. Anyway, all that to say everything seems to be fully functioning again.

When 40 subreports are added programmatically to a report the last subreport to be added is shown first while all other reports are in the correct order

I am loading multiple sub-reports (up to 40) into a master report document using the Crystal SDK. This is accomplished by obtaining a reference to the detail area, adding a section to it, and then importing the subreport into the detail area. The master report does not contain a whereclause and contains no data other than the other sections so it is display only once.
When I add the section to the master report I give an index of -1 so that it would always appear on the bottom in the report. This works until I print a report containing exactly 40 reports at which time the last section is shown at the top of the report. All other sections (and hence subreports) appear in the correct order. If I print less than 40 reports all sections are in the correct order. If I print more, the export process crashes as documented in Invalid Section Height when I load the nth subreport
I am using Crystal Reports SDK 13.0.8. Visual Studio 2012. .NET 4.5.2.
The pertinent bit of code is shown below. What might I be doing incorrectly? Is this a Crystal SDK bug?

Some icons are not shown correctly in Gnome tray

The image should tell everything. In the tray there should be icons from Guake, Dropbox and Skype. However only Skype is visible. Does anyone know where could be the problem?
I noticed that Synergy icon behaves also wrongly.

Search for member activities - points are not displayed correctly

Hi experts,
I have a question concerning the search for member activities. I personalized my result list and added the field points (STRUCT.Product_ID), but there the amount of the points is always displayed as zero. When going into the details of the member activity I can see that there are points booked.
Can anyone tell me why the points in the result list are not displayed correctly?

Sometimes threads are deleted if they violate the Rules of Engagement. If that happens, you'll lose points that were allocated to you. Othertimes, if you broke the rules, then it's possible that points that had been awarded could have been removed - but you should check your emails (of your registered address) to verify this. I'd guess, it's more likely you'd responded to a post that broke the rules.
Really important
1. Don't reply to posts that break the rules - you risk losing any points awarded and you risk wasting your time responding (which is probably more valuable).
2. Don't ignore rejection emails or other communications from moderators. They are followed up, and, if warnings are ignored, then accounts will be deleted. Recently, one poor soul's account was deleted, and they'd accrued over a 1000 points... they'd been copy and pasting from other sites and ignored moderator warnings.

Vietnamese fonts are not displayed correctly.

The character set used is Composite Unicode and input method is VNI. I tried VN forum but no one care about it =.= Also this is the FF problem those texts displayed correctly in Chrome. Entity Descriptions are not displayed correctly in Combo box dropdown list

In Web Analysis, Entity Descriptions are not displayed correctly in Combo box dropdown list when entity descriptions from HFM contains a dot(.)
Example:
'Entity A. LTD' becomes 'LTD'
'Entity B Inc.' becomes blank
It seems that everything before the dot is not displayed when opening the combobox.
It looks like it is acting like the option to show short description for entities in HR where the parent-child relation is not shown. This behaviour I don't expect for descriptions. And in my opinion is not an option in Web Analysis.
Does anybody knows the sollution or have seen this issue before?

This is a known issue with combo box list of values.
Please follow this workaround:
- Remove ComboboxLOV on Deptno
- Create an updateable transient attribute(Say Dname) of type String
- Define combobox lov with following values:
List Data Source: DeptView1
List Attribute: Dname
List Return Values:
Dname - Dname
Deptno - Deptno
UI Hints: Display Attribute - Dname
- Edit Dname(transient attribute) and provide following groovy expression
oracle.jbo.Key key = new oracle.jbo.Key(Deptno);
return DeptView1.findByKey(key, 1)[0].getAttribute("Dname");- Now, you are done and observe that Dname combo box lov shows Description even on selection and change in this combo box sets the Deptno value

Files from Windows 7 are not alphabetized correctly on OS X, and can match identically named files in the same folder

I receive MS Word files from students using Macs or Windows-based computers. This year, files prepared by students using Windows 7 are not alphabetized correctly on my Mac (under Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion). The same four students keep having their files put at the END of the alphabetical sort by name, even though the files should appear earlier in the list. I have to copy the file contents and paste the contents into a new document to get the new document to appear in the right order, and if I do so, then BOTH the old and new files appear in the Finder, even though the names appear to be identical! So can have to files with the same name in the same folder, which ought to be impossible. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

The problem is not the letters themselves, but non-letter characters in the file name; this showed up with the fixed-width fonts. The apparent duplicates and mis-sorting are caused by dashes, which differ because they're done as en-dashes in one file name and em-dashes in the other file name, or by curly or straight apostrophes. I didn't see that in the Finder window.
I never saw this behavior before this year. Last year, when I was using a Mac for the first time, I did not see any such problem, even though my students' files were named using the same conventions. When I was using a Windows-based laptop before that, I never saw the problem.
Windows must do something to style the non-letter characters differently than a Mac. Is there any place in Windows Explorer or the OS X Finder that styles characters this way? I can see this being a big problem for someone who needs to sort very important data by name, when the files are coming from different operating systems!
(I just Googled en-dash, em-dash, and curly quotes with file names, and found a good number of posts on various sites about similar problems based on ASCI character coding, html coding, Windows Explorer, and other applications. Sometimes the files don't appear at all, because the application reading the file name can't deal with a certain ASCI code. What a mess.)

The maximize/minimize and close and buttons are not shown correctly when FF windows is maximized.

I have the same problem on all my computers, one running Windows 7 and two with Vista.
The three buttons in the upper right corner of the FF windows are not shown correctly. They are soft of cut off in the middle when the FF window is maximized.

It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high and that the scroll bars fall off. 
Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window. 
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.
