Are PDFs created by Business Objects editable ?

I have created a report using Business Objects(BO) InfoView. Run report to generate report with data. Saved to PC as PDF.
BUT I don't seen to be able to make any edits to the words in the report using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 (using Touch Up Text Tool) (I can edit words in non BO PDFs).
Document Properties > Security = No Security and all possible retrictions are set to allowed.
Can anyone help please ?

Hi.
Using standard text tool I can select text, copy and paste into another app. eg. note pad.
But' touch up text tool' does nothing with same piece of text - doesn't highlight in any way, can't click in middle of sentance and press delete button to remove characters.
As I said, I can us the 'touch up text tool' in other PDFs (so although not an expert, I do sort of know how it should work)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Create a business object for a Maintenance object

Hello,
I want to create a business object for a maintenance object to change all XML attributes to XML elements.
Should I have to change the whole XML Schema from attributes to elements one by one?
For example, I create the business object CM_Person_BO for the maintenance object Person, and use the business object to add user in a more standard way.
But it is a quite large job to rewrite the whole schema for the maintenance object Person, which has following elements, which are PersonIdentifiers, PersonNames, PersonPhones, PersonCharacteristics, Person and SeasAddress.
Is there any easy way to do it?

Is there any easy way to do it?Unfortunately not, you will have to define the schema containing each field/element, once. The primary objective is that you should create a scaled down version of the BO having only the required fields or subset of available fields, you may not need all the fields of a MO. This increases performance as the IO is performed only for specified fields in the BO.
You can define separate Data Areas for each Person object's context, i.e. Identifiers, Names, Phones, etc. and include them (includeDA) within the Person BO (CM_Person_BO) for clarity.

Bussiness Object is the reporting tool of datawarehouse.BI is itself a data ware house.The next generation SAP BI will be using BO as reporting tool instead of BeX.BO is a Reporting tool. Presently we are using BI BEX tool for reporting. slowly BI BEX tool is replacing by BO.Use Netveawer and SAP BW for the Backend and Master data management or Use Data Integartor. For Front End Use BEX tools for QR$A or use the BO Suite.BO has many advantages over BEX tool like using BO we can creat crystal reports ets.

TMP files created inside business objects installation folder

Hi All,
I noticed TMP files are being inside of business objects folder and it is taking up entire disk space.What is causing this and what can be done to avoid this?

"Data Providers" is a term used to designate a concept of the "source(s)" for the report. For instance, if you have a report that has a single query and in your report you have one (or n1) tab(s), then your report is a single data provider type of report. Note that you can have multiple tabs with the data being displayed multiple ways, etc, etc, but since you have a single query, the report is still a single data provider. Another scenario is that you have more than a single query (n1 query panels), then you have a report with multiple data providers. Only upon inspecting the query panel side of the report can you determine the number of actual data providers. You can have a single tabbed report with multiple data providers, or you can have a multiple tabbed report, but the point is that data providers are counted by the number of query panels being used and not necessarily the number of tabs. I hope this explanation is clear, but if any questions arise, please post back.

Maximum Numbers of profiles that can be created in Business Objects CMC??

I want to know if there exists any limitation in the number of profiles that could be created in Business Objects Enterprise CMC. My question is because I need to restrict the reports that users can see in the InfoView and a way to do this is creating a profile for each customer for example. Usually when there is a need to change/create an adapter object, I suggest to change object class to CUSTOMIZING in R3AC1. Then save it and call transaction R3AC3. There do necessary changes and afterwards switch back to original object class. There is no copy functionality for adapter objects. Kindly use transaction R3AC3 to create a new adapter object and maintain all tabs according to your requirements. When you are finished, kindly change the object class "CUSTOMIZING" to the original class name you're copying and the new adapter object will be visible in R3AC1.

Creating new business object key.

Hi experts,
i created a new z business object and created its keys but when i am trying to release the business object key 'personnelnumber' it's showing following error:
"Function 'Change status' is not supported by the selected object 'PersonnelNumber' ".
Please suggest me the solution.

But in program of my Z business object ZANNUAL_COMP error is shown as follows so i can't generate my business object.
The data object "OBJECT-_ZANNUAL_COMP" does not have a component
"PERSONNELNUMBER".

FM to attach .doc, .xls, .pdf, .txt to business object

Helloo everybody,
I have a requirement in which there are mails coming into CRM that have attachments of any of the above mentioned types. The requirement is that whenever I process this mail using custom implementation of the class CL_CRM_E2C_MAINACTION, the attachments in the mail should get attached to a new order that is being created in this class. I have been able to attach XML files but have problems attaching these other file types. Please help me find a solution for the same.
