Are Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 separate programs?

I downloaded both Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12, but only get an icon for the Elements 12, notthe Premier Elements 12. Are they different? I am wondering what I actually bought.

Photoshop Elements 10 deinstallation, program not in system control (windows 7 64-bit)

Hello,
maybe I oversaw the right answer, but I was searching for hours now and so I opened this "new" issue.
Several weeks ago I installed a full version of photoshop elements 10 on the 64 bit windows 7 system of my father and it worked fine.
Today my father treid to restart the program but could not find the icon, so i started the program by starting the exe-file in the photoshop folder. but the image processing and the organizer did not work. An error message recommended to download and refresh the application manager. I was not willing to do so so I decided to reinstall. By trying to reinstall the installation told me first to uninstall the existing version but there is no photoshop found in the system control also there's no uninstall file in any photoshop folder, so how to handle.
After downloading and refreshing the application manager now everything seems to run properly but I'm not satisfied becaus I don't understand what's ongoing on the system. Still I cannot find a photoshop installation in the system control. How can I reinstall if another problem occures if I cannot uninstall.
Please help me to gain a little more knowledge to handle those problems in future.
So the primary, cebtral question is: why can I not find a photoshop installation in the system control and how to deinstall photoshop in this case to reinstall it????

When you install any version of PSE <say PSE11>, the applications gets installed at (on 64 bit machines)-
Organizer: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 11 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
Editor: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
Welcome screen: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11\Adobe Photoshop Elements 11
Note: On 32 bit machines, applications will be located inside Program Files instead of Program Files (x86).
Also when the installation is successfull, you will see the uninstaller present in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features.
As per your case, you are unable to uninstall PSE11. For doing so, download the cleaner tool from: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.
Follow the guidelines listed on page. Once the clean up is successful, you can install PSE. I would recommend to install PSE using 'Run as Admin' (right click the setup.exe and click 'Run as Administrator'.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 organizer program/folder missing from installation

I downloaded the upgrade to Photoshop Elements 12 from the internet in November 2013 and the organizer part of the program is totally missing as well as the Photoshop Elements Organizer.exe file.. With previous versions (9 &10) Elements Organizer has its own folder containing files containing the Photoshop Elements Organizer.exe file. but this whole folder is not present with this version 12 upgrade. I have downloaded the file and uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. Can you advise how I obtain this part of the program.

I have downloaded the Adobe Support Advisor ( apparently been withdrawn according to the Adobe website) and it located no errors.
Again I say that the Elements Organizer program is missing as there is no Elements Organizer 12 sub-folder within the Adobe folder located in C drive where the program is installed (Photoshop
Elements 10 has an Elements Organizer 10 sub-folder and the organizer works fine).
Also on clicking the Photoshop desktop icon (loaded by the program installation) message says "cannot find Photoshop Elements 12.exe. However the program can be loaded from the PhotoshopElementsEditor 12.exe file, but the organizer button at the bottom right of the editor screen when clicked gives message " loading elements organizer workspace" and after a minute or so this message disappears and nothing happens.
The download is an upgrade version so I don't whether this makes any difference.

Using Photoshop CS 6 and Premiere Elements 11

I have Premiere Elements 11 and Photoshop CS 6. I have using the Classroom in a Book to learn how to work Premiere Elements. In chapter 12 you are supposed to use both Elements programs. Is there any way to use CS 6 with Premiere Elements. I don't have the capital to go out and buy another program.

Yes.
You can choose Edit Original in PrE, to Open the PSD in Photoshop.
As this is more a question for PrE (recent topics on the same subject), maybe a MOD will move this to the Premiere Elements Forum.

Win7 install of PS Element and Premiere to Desktop not Program Files

Using the installer in Windows 7 worked, but only if I allowed the programs to be installed on my Desktop, rather than the usual C:\Program Files. I really don't want programs sitting in my Desktop folder, but in the appropriate Adobe folder under Program Files. Given some of the forum comments questions about uninstalling PS programs, I am leery of doing so here. Advice please.

Photoshop elements 5.0 program error message

I cannot save in jpeg format. I keep getting an error message when I try. The error message says cannot complete your request because of a program error. Please help as soon as possible.

Repairing Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 using program disk

My computer (Windows XP) can no longer use the scanner (Cannon PIXMA MP780) to import photos to Element 6 because it can't find the CNCSCM60.DLL file in D:\Windows\system.
When I use my program disk to reinstall or repair Elements, the screen display shows this progression: the disk is initializing, validating the initialization, then seems to stall and displays a message to Insert Disk: 1. There is no disk 1 and the program disk is already in the drive. What do I do to repair CNCSCm60.DLL?

You can't do a repair install on any version of PSE except PSE 6 for mac. You will need to uninstall and reinstall. But I'd try reinstalling your scanner software first.

Photoshop Elements 4.0 program error

I have a macbook pro, OS X (10.4.11) with iPhoto 6.
I installed PSE 4.0 last night and was able to edit my photos via the option for the "external editor" (right click). Fine.
I tried to SAVE the edit in PSE and get a pop-up window saying: "Could not complete your request because of a program error".
What's wrong and what do I need to do to save the photos edited on PSE to my iPhoto library?

To save your edits from Elemtns back to iPhoto all you do is Save, exactly as you've done.
n PSE and get a pop-up window saying: "Could not complete your request because of a program error".
This is an Elements issue. Check out the Adobe forums for help with this.

Updates can often fail because of additional language files from the existing installations have been removed. Run the uninstaller and then reinstall the application and try applying the update again. Complete the following steps to uninstall the software:
Mac OS:
Go to Applications/Utitlies/Adobe Installers.
Run the applicable uninstaller.
Windows Vista/7:
Go to Start > Control Panels > Programs and Features.
Locate the affected Adobe Creative software title and click Uninstall.
Windows 8:
Press Windows Key + R to open the run command. Type Control Panels and press OK.
Open the Program & Features Control Panel.
Locate the affected Adobe Creative software title and click Uninstall.
Try these steps and let me know if it helps.

How can I reinstall Photoshop E 13 and Premiere E.13 on new PC after old PC crashed? Obviously I was not able to disinstall prior to crash.

Photoshop and premiere elements 13 update

When I try to update photoshop elements 13, the program tells me that the product is not original. I bought and paid regularly by Adobe photoshop and premiere. No solution? Thank you for your help.

Backup and Restore from Photoshop Elements 8 to Photoshop Elements 12 Not Working

I have a dual boot Windows XP SP3 32 bit/ Windows 7 SP 64 bit system with Photoshop Elements (PSE) 8 installed on the Win XP system and PSE 12 installed on the Win 7 system. Both systems can see a shared drive. I can create a catalog backup on the Win XP system using PSE 8. When I attempt to restore the catalog on the Win 7 system using PSE 12 every file fails to restore. I believe I have followed the process correctly. Any suggestions?

From the looks of it, Premiere Elements (any version) has nothing to do with this issue. Is that correct? The question seems to involve Photoshop Elements. Somehow your thread was posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing) and not the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum which should have been the destination for your question.

If you program is Photoshop Elements, please repost your thread there or wait for a moderator to see your thread here and then move your thread from here to there.
PE is usually used to designate Premiere Elements, and PSE is usually used to designate Photoshop Elements. Using abbreviations can could confusion at times when PE and PSE are used interchangeably.
Out of curiosity, is your set up Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit and the companion virtual Windows XP Professional SP3 32 bit or is it as your wrote, the real thing "a dual boot Windows XP/ Windows 7 system". Photoshop Elements 8 and 12 are compatible on Windows 7 64 bit, why the Photoshop Elements 8 on Windows XP?

Photoshop Elements 11 and 12 on the same device

I recently bought Photoshop Elements 11. Now I bought a new Canon EOS camera, that included Photoshop Lightroom 5 and Premiere Elements 12. My Problem now is. The DVD also contains Photoshop Elements 12 with access only to the organizer but not to the photo editor (there is no serial number). So now I have Photoshop Elements 12 but for editing Photos Photoshop Elements 11. Not very satisfying. How can I get a licence number for Photoshop Elements 12 without again buying the Software.

Mouse is very jerky and hangs up in photoshop elements 13

After installing photoshop elements 13 the program runs very unstable and the mouse freezes and becomes jerky. Any suggestions. I have 12 installed and have no problems.

If your programs are Photoshop Elements, then you have posted in the wrong forum. This is the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing), not Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum (photo editing).

If I were doing this I would probably have the two versions of Photoshop Elements on the same computer and convert the Elements Organizer 10 catalog in Elements Organizer 12. (See Elements Organizer 12, File Menu/Manage Catalogs/Catalog Manager/Convert. But, best ask the experts in the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum.
