Are some functions disabled in Elements 11 trial version?

I have Elements 11 trial version. The "create new layer" function doesn't work. Why?

In the trial version of photoshop elements, all the the features are there, you are just only allowed to try it for 30 days. As for the button not working, make sure that you are actually pressing the "new layer" button and not something else. If that doesn't work, see I the new layer button works in the menus at the top of your window. I'm not sure which menus it is located under since I am running Photoshop CS6 extended. Make sure that you actually have a picture open first before you try adding new layers.

I've seen one of the apple software updates corrupt my Quicktime install.
Uninstalling it, or iTunes, or both, then redownloading it from apple and re-installing fixed the problem. You can download Quicktime independently of iTunes, but you can't get iTunes without quicktime. Make sure both are gone from Add/Remove programs.
I would give that a shot.

PrE 12. How to deal with black screen "Created with Adobe Premiere Elements trial version"?

I'm really considering purchasing PrE 12 and would like to try it out. (I have another video editing software and would like to try this one.)
When I add video, I get a black screen "Created with Adobe Premiere Elements trial version". When I hit play, I can hear audio, but I don't get any video (just the black screen). Is there a work around, a setting that I can change, or is the trial version supposed to show the black screen?

Elements trial version does not finish installation

Hi,
i downloaded photoshop elements trial version on my laptop at work and want to install it on my private computer. I use the downloaded files. The setup interrupted several times at some point where it can't temporarily safe a .mst file (never the same file). I closed Kaspersky Antivirus and Zonealarm Firewall but the error is still there. No other programs are running during the installation. I don't want to download it again, since my internet connection at home is so slow that it takes a whole day to download this huge installation file. What can i do?

Ok I have reviewed your logs as well and I located the following errors:
DS011 which is stating it is having problems with the content of your install files.
Do you have access to another computer with a faster Internet connection? You could download the install files on that other computer and copy them via USB drive to your computer at home?
I did also look for the return value 3 error but was unable to find anything so you are right it does not appear the analyzer found anything actionable. This is why sometimes it is neccessary to review the log files manually.

Just in case notes that may sometimes get overlooked.....
1. After purchase of the Premiere Elements, you can remove the Adobe watermark from a project file (project.prel) that you created during the tryout. But, you cannot remove the Adobe watermark that exists in one of the exports from the tryout project.prel file (even after you get a purchased serial number and are working from the purchased program).
a. The classical answer to getting rid of the Adobe watermark from your tryout project.prel files after you purchase the product is to delete the rendered files of the trial project.prel which is opened in the purchased program.
b. However, I and others have found the often just opening the trial project.prel into the purchased program removes the Adobe watermark automatically with no need to delete any rendered files.

Trouble installing Adobe Photoshop Elements trial version

I'm trying to download Adobe Photoshop Elements trial version and got up to installing adobe Download assistant and logging in with my Adobe ID and password. Help section says it should start downloading automatically after that but nothing happens and in the adobe Download assistant under' All products' or 'Products you may like', nothing shows up for me to manually click to download. How can this be solved?

I'm brand new to PE, checking out a trial version at present. Excuse the silly questions, but I just want to confirm a few things. I presume the gaudy 'ADOBE' logo on my finished movies disappears when you use the full, paid for version?! Also, there seems to be some functionality lacking (animation of titles) - same problem?
On a different note, I'm using a standard def. SONY HDD camcorder, with the provided PMB software to copy the files from camera to computer. There seems to be a loss in quality using this software. Any ideas?

Yes, that Adobe logo on your clips is just because you're using the trial. Otherwise all your videos would just be one big advertisement, right?!
As for your camcorder, it's not the ideal source for editing in this program, but it's doable, if you don't mind working with it.
First, I'm assuming by HDD that you mean a standard definition hard drive camcorder, not an AVCHD camcorder, which has some other considerations.
For working with hard disc camcorders, the best results will come by NOT capturing with the software that comes with the cam.
Instead, start a project in Premiere Elements (be sure to use the project presets for a hard drive camcorder!) and the use Get Media/Hard Drive Camcorder to download the video files from the camcorder.
Once you begin editing, you'll notice a red line above your clips as you add them to your timeline. This is an indication that these clips will need to be rendered -- and you should do that regularly by pressing the Enter key. (Premiere Elements 8 includes a feature for automatically rendering as you work -- but, on a less than super computer, it can make the rest of the program dog a bit so most people turn it off.)
The rendered files should be virtually as clean as your originals, and you should get excellent results.

On Windows all installs produce an entry in the start menu, on Macs the program ends up in your Applications folder. If that's not the case, you need to provide more info and we can try to figure out what's going on...

Adobe Elements trial version

I have been trying to download the trial version since yesterday. It will get to the part where it says Extracting files....this may take a while, and the little blue downloading bar is still moving but it wont go any further. So I even left it over night and it was still doing the same thing after 12 hours. I have tried re starting my computer, restarting the downloading process several times and I have also made sure it is being saved to my user file.

The download has likely become corrupted. Please cancel the download and try again. You can also initiate a direct download by following the steps listed in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

Photoshop Elements trial version problem

I'm from the UK but am in France. I want to download P/S Elements 30 day trial UK version for my Mac OS 10.7.4. The screen was in French but I changed the version to say "UK". Download Assistant was in English, but it then seemed to be downloading the French version of P/S. I stopped the download. What can I do to get the UK version?

That may not be possible directly due to the geo IP tracking - for unregistered software at least. Otehrwise of course a registered version can be downloaded in teh language it was purchased from your user account. You might try the workaround provided here to access the proper language version:

Is there ARE-1 & ARE-3 functionality in 4.6c CIN version?

I am working on the roll out of 4.6c.I am facing one problem in CIN.
1.   In SPRO ,"Settings under Export regulation" is missing.
2.   Excise transaction types (ETT) are not present in CIN: ARE1,ARE3
3.   J1IBN01- Creating Excise Bond.
4.   J1IA101- ARE 1Create/Change/Update.
5.   J1IA301: ARE3 Create/change/Update.
Many other transactions which are supporting these transaction are not present.
can any body tell me that whether these functionalities are present in $.6 c CIN version.

I downloaded elements trial version on 16th May 2014 and today 18th May 2014 I am told my trial period has expired?

If you see a trial screen, click on "license this software". I forget if you have to sign in with your Adobe ID/password before or after, but it will give you a serial number option. That is you would see a button, "I have a serial number" or a screen where you input your serial number.
Once accepted, your software will go back to its' licensed state.
Also if you still have problems be sure you are still not on any 30 day Cloud plan that you must cancel. Uninstalling CC may not be enough.
Contact Customer Care to cancel your trial or plan.

The download utility opens, I can sign on, but there is no Premeier Elements anywhere to select. There are other programs, but not this one. What gives?
