Are the Technet forums getting .... s...l...o.....w.......e........r......?

Just wondering if it's my laptop, the client I'm at, or ... Oracle?
I suspect it's not me or my client as I still get other work related answers very quickly (you know ... weather.com, jokes.com, hotmail, yahoo - you know ... work stuff!).
I can understand it slowing down in the afternoon, but it seems to be crawling all day now for the last week or so?
Are they using an IBM DB2 database or something?

Glad I'm not the only one seeing it.
It reminds me of when I had a 'paid' Hotmail account a long time ago. The free one I had went much faster than the paid one, and the reason for this apparently was that the server where my paid subscription was - for whatever reason - was getting hammered more. So, you can imagine, the paid one was cancelled by me.
Just hope the Disco forum in not on a slow (or hammered) server.

That's where I would begin, too, with
Repair Disk
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.TStatus of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report if it saysanything but Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need touse autility like TechTool Pro,Drive Geniusor DiskWarrior
First we need to determine if the issue you are experiencing with the computer is software or hardware based. Once we have gotten things sorted out there should be time enough to make you decision about keeping or returning it.

Apple can't do it, only you could potentially do it if you had enabled Find My iPad on it before it was stolen.
If it was stolen then you should report it to the police. As a safety precaution you should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

Can anyone tell me where the various forum categories are? Have all previous AS70 categories all been merged into one?

Hi John,
You are correct that the previous set of Application Server 7 forums have been merged into this one. All of the previously posted messages are still here.
You may have noticed that we've been making a lot of changes to the organization of these forums. One thing we decided to do was merge together multiple forums related to the same product. There were a lot of reasons, including very low traffic on some of the individual forums. In the case of Application Server 7, the change was pretty dramatic. We hope that once people are used to it, it will prove to work well.
But we are also still actively working on improving these forums, and will be making more changes, including adding forums over time. In addition to monitoring the forums usage, we will definitely be listening to feedback from forums users.

I had a bad experience with tbaytel out of Thunder bay On, I went in to purchase 2 - iphones for myself and husband. This incident happen March 22, 2012. I was waiting in line and there was a young lad in front of me the sales clerk ask him for his driver license and he was accepted to get a phone. The same sales person, asked me for my drivers license and a credit card. i waited for 10 -15 mins and he came back to me and said.....in order for me to get a iphone i would have to put down a security deposit of $400.00 for each phone and i will have to keep up with payments for 12 years before i get my deposit back. i was really shock and i said to him really 12 years!!! this experience was uncalled for! I feel the only reason was because i was native indian. i felt so bad and disappointed. And i have talked to other people who has iphones and they only got ask for drivers license and I know a few your people without jobs and they got iphones. I am looking for a response asap.

If your credit is poor, the cellular carrier may require a security deposit. Take it up with the carrier.
You are not speaking to Apple. This is a user to user forum.

What are the advantages of getting the creative cloud over buying CS6?

I do not use more than three programs on a regular basis, and I do not update often either.

How to ask a hot topic in the forums which could attract much passionate debate on both sides.
The most obvious point is that CS6 will no longer be updated. It's essentially abandonware. It might get bug fixes occaionally but no more love from Adobe. It's left to wither on the vine.
Whether we (customers) like it or not, for now the Cloud is the way of the future for Adobe.
So if CS6 is all you need for the next couple of years and a perpetual license is important to you then CS6 is probably for you.
The next generation of Adobe products (the CC versions) are due on June 17 - Cloud only. There will be no perpetually licensed CS7 or CC.
So CS6 will be a superseded (previous version) from then on.

If I'm posting (or researching) a specific category, like Apps, then I'd like to see the available list of categories up front. Not have to click 'Refine This List'! It might be that the user's permissions have been changed directly in his user's settings. Try to see if the user has the correct permissions such as log on, save project, connect with MS Project Pro...
By the way, the "owner" group is not a default security group. If you didn't customize the default PM group, try only to add this PM group to the user, not the "owner" group.

You can use iTunes to sync all the music off your phone by unchecking "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings, then clicking Apply at the bottom to sync your phone. After updating, sync your music back to your phone.

Hi, Well I don't know about the wallpaper:-), but I'm sure that there isn't any computer that wont' support Flash Player!
When you first set up your new computer, you set up the Administrator Account first. You will use that Account for Installing Flash Player. It is the one that gives you Permission to do so.
Next, I need to know if you have Installed any version of Flash Player on your computer?
Do you use any browser other than IE8?
What Anit-Virus program do you have Installed?
Use your IE browser and test at this site and let me know if you can see any animation of the Flash logo and what version of Flash Player does it say is Installed.
