Are their iphone 4's still left at apple stores?
I can't tell from the news stories. Are most Apple stores sold out after the 1st day? And if so, does anyone know when they're restocking?

Thanks for your replies. I'm planning on calling tomorrow. Was just wondering if there was a general consensus -- as in someone hearing "all stores are sold out for __ number of days."

I left the apple store fast due to the fact i was in a bad car accudent and i am in a wheelchair and cant stay seated like that long due to a broken leg. It randomly will pop up message saying something like it needs wifi but I have wifi at my house. It also pops up another message something like it needs to finish restoring it and asks if I want to download it all and I click on it it to but it goes away after that and nothing pops back up. Only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it. In
this case, you must work with Telus. If they have a pay as you go
plan, activate the iPhone on Telus that way and then after
you meet whatever requirements Telus has, stop using Telus
and move the iPhone to Virgin. Or sell the iPhone to someone
who can use it on Telus.
Telus is the only one who can unlock that iPhone. -

Where did you purchase this. The US phones do not come with the SIM removal tool anymore. They haven't for some time now. I'm not even sure it comes with any of the devices anymore. You can just straighten out a paper clip and do the same thing.

unlocked phones cost the true price of the phone
the reason why locked phones cost more is because the carrier they are locked to pay the difference and expect to make their profit by the users usage
to lock automatic to the first sim one put in would mean that carrier would not had paid the difference so apple would not get anything out of it
and the user would not get anything out of it, the only who would, would be that random carrier sounds like a lotto system for sim locks -

As the topic line states, I bought an unlocked iPhone 4s in America from an Apple Store, need Japanese service. I need to use it in Japan. What should I do? What is a good provider? I heard that Softbank will not let you use ANY iPhone that is not purchased from them. So I am wondering what to do.
I will be studying in Japan for 15 months, so I think it best that I get a 2 year contract, seeing as I plan to work here, following graduation. Does anyone know a way around the Softbank issue? If not, should I choose AU or Docomo? If those don't make much sense, either, than should I simply return the iPhone that I purchased in America and sign up for a two year contract with Softbank here?
P.s. The whole purpose behind buying it in America to begin with was because if I return to America, I can always use it there, too.Hi,
I am in the same situation as Iooc, I live in Uruguay and the iphone 4s costs 1400 Us dollars. I have been told that this price is caused because apple does not offer a discount to the Uruguayan distributors, therefor they are buying at the same price as in an apple store.
Well, as I have a friend travel next week to the US, I wanted to know about the unlocked iPhone 4s. Is it only GSM? Won't I be able to use intent 3G in this phone here in Uruguay?

EDIT: I'm sorry, I missed that you referred to iPhone 5S. There should be an unlocked 5S, and it could work in Malaysia, but probably not with all of the bands there. Also, the warranty for the device is good only in the US. -
I just left the apple store after they checked the MAC and wiped it clean. I have plugged the external drive in and see the device; however, they was no prompt to migrate the files, as I was told. How do I get the files to migrate. I can see yesterdays back-up. I thought it was to automatically prompt for the migration process?

You need to take your phone to an Apple Store in the US. You can purchase an Out of Warranty replacement if the phone is damaged. Cost is $269+ tax.
You cannot upgrade to a 5S at an Apple store; at best, you can turn in your current phone to get a gift card towards the purchase of another.
