Are there any patches for OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0?
Following a new installation of OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0, I checked Oracle Support looking for any patches. I don't even see that release in the drop-down list of products. (The installer did not find any software updates either). I would be interested in finding any needed patches for both the Linux 64-bit server installation as well as the PC Admin Client.
Is there somewhere else to look for required or recommended patches? Are you aware of any that are needed?
Thanks for any advice on this.Hi,
Yes, there are 11.1.1.6.1 and .2 too patches available on top of 11.1.1.6.0. In Metalink, you could search for patch 13884769 for .2.
Hope this helps.
Thank you,

Are there any patches available for Dev 21
Hi,
We've been working with Forms50 and Reports 25 under win95 for
quite a while and have noticed occasional problems:
- A program abort due to page fault protection under win95.For
example, R30DES32 : R30LIB.dll.
- You issue compile all and get and error that forms is not
able to go to (goto error button).
- A compile error that requires login in and out and
recompile to fix.
I wonder if
- there are any patches available for Dev 21,
- i have a memory shortage problem,
- these are (especially case 1) win95 problems.
Please help will be welcomed ................!

thanks in advance,

If so, where can I find them?
On metalink.oracle.com you can found the patches.
Select Patches on the left, then select Oracle Server on Product

Hi
i have just got a new Mac with mavericks etc, have re-installed CS but indesign crashes at launch, has anyone got any ideasNeilB12 I have seen previous posts which indicated the update is necessary. I would recommend applying the update and if you continue to face difficulties then may want to search/post in the InDesign forum regarding using InDesign CS5 on Mac OS 10.9. The InDesign forum can be found at InDesign.

Post relates to: Tungsten E2
Are you running a "skinning" program (e.g., StarDock WindowBlinds or similar), or any software that changes or "enhances" your desktop experience?
Do you have a tablet for input, or just mouse?
Is a key possibly stuck on your keyboard?

Are there any experienced Dreamweaver developers loving the CC version?
Everyone knows website DESIGNERS will be happy with the new mix of features in Dreamweaver CC, but I want to hear from DEVELOPERS who are using Dreamweaver CC and work daily on maintaining busy websites that are built on MS SQL or MySQL databases. My question to these Dreamweaver users is:
Are you happy doing this sort of work in Dreamweaver CC, or are you still relying on your previous installation of Dreamweaver?
So much of the negative buzz on Dreamweaver CC seems to be from Dreamweaver users who are not yet using the CC version (myself included). I'm sure there must be some developers out there who are actually using Dreamweaver CC daily in this type of work, and I really want to hear more about your specific experience with CC:
What are you using for creating database inserts, edits, or deletions? Is it the extension that brings back these features or perhaps some other 3rd party extension for Dreamweaver?
Is Dreamweaver CC stable when working on data-driven websites built on the now deprecated Dreamweaver server behaviors and other 3rd party extensions?
Are you using Dreamweaver CC on all your projects, or are you still using CS6 or older for certain projects? If you're not using CC for everything yet, why not?
Would you recommend upgrading to Dreamweaver CC, and reinstalling the server behaviors extension and converting the other MXP extensions to bring back compatibility with ASP/ASP.NET? Or, should someone who works daily in Dreamweaver created data-driven sites stick to CS6?
Inquiring minds want to know....If you do not have CS6 perpetual installed you should be able to install the subscription version of CS6 version 13.1.2 using the Creative cloud desktop application. Note I have CS6, CC and CC 2014 installed....

I had closed Firefox after briefly running it and then tried to reopen it anew but got a message that said "Firefox is already running but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."
I logged off my computer, and later restarted. However, when I checked my Firewall log it showed that during the minute I had my computer on earlier there were about a dozen instances of "Firefox is preparing to access the internet" which were recorded just seconds apart.
I don't have the problem now -- restarting apparently took care of the issue -- but I don't understand why there were so many instances of Firefox preparing to access the internet when I was not clicking on it all those times, the one time I did I got a message that it already was running, and there were no tabs on my screen to reflect all those supposed instances.
Thanks for any insight that folks can offer. Were that Firefox processes or plugin-container processes?

SQL*Net more data to dblink event for hours or days
Hello Everyone,
in our production database when we commit a transaction we call a remote procedure over dblink.
usually the call succeeds ,but every now and then a couple of sessions hang up,
when I use the session browser of Toad I notice that these sessions are waiting with the event SQL*Net more data to dblink
below are some queries and their results:
select sid,event,wait_class,wait_time,seconds_in_wait,state from gv$session_wait where sid=225
rslt:

we managed to reproduce the case in test environment, below are the steps:
1)have 2 databases on different machines, will call the first one local, the other one remote.
2)in the local database create:
a - DBLink to remote database.
b - read data from remote database(we simply used select count(*) from dummy_table )
c - insert data into a table on the local database
d - terminate the connection between the 2 databases (disconnect either machine from the network)
e - commit on local database.
what we noticed was the following:
1)when the local database is disconnected from the network(the machine is not connected to any network at the moment): almost immediately throws an error, and issuing the following:
select * from dba_2pc_pending;we found some data .
2) when the remote database was disconnected(the local database is still connected to the network):
after 7-8 seconds an error is thrown, and issuing the following:
select * from dba_2pc_pending;did not return any data.
since this is pretty similar to our case ,we concluded that it's a network issue.
is this the correct behavior ?
as a temporary solution till the network issue is fixed ,we did the following:
1) changed the call of the remote procedure to calling a local procedure that calls the remote procedure.
2) added pragma autonomous_transaction to the local procedure.
3) at the end of the local procedure rollback the autonomous transaction.
it seems that since the global transaction does not use the DBLink database does not issue a 2PC commit.
this works in my cases since the DBLink is only issed to read data. -

nullCarlos,
This discussion forum is specifically targeted to answer
questions on the Oracle Migration Workbench and Migration
issues. I am unfamiliar with this product and unfortunately
do not have any information that may help. Perhaps if you
called Oracle support or check out the database section
on OTN. There may be information there that will help.

Are there good reasons to upgrade to FCE version 4?
Hi, I am currently using FCE 3.5.1 I'm thinking that it just might be time to upgrade. Are there some really good reasons to upgrade to Version 4? Does 4 come bundled with LiveType 2.1, or does it at least have animated type options? Most importantly, in the audio realm, does it actually allow you to hear audio filers (such as an equalizer) in real time as you tweak them? If not, do you know if Final Cut Pro has substantially better audio features than FCE?
I appreciate your input. Bob"Can you do that on 3.5?"
Yes. What format is the media you're using? There is no way you should have to render an EQ on a MacPro unless you have a lot of tracks. In which case, push up the number of realtime tracks in user preferences. Normal drives should be able to handle 24 tracks in realtime. The tracks count adds in effects as well as a track each.
What kind of animated text do you want? Title 3D and Title Crawl can be animated.
Apple has never sold a pro app upgrade via download. Only updates are available via download. It has never sold recent versions of FCE separately from LiveType, or LiveType separately from Final Cut. It has always been a bundled application and has never been available as a download. Do you have a torrent copy of the application?
